11] For the Third event, follow Hektor.

The Third event was a pure PvE one, no Accelerated time, from the looks, the developers did this even as both a relaxation one for players as well as let them QA the sweet acceleration ratio to avoid what Had Kaede take a whole week off NWO. For my Guild? Commando Wing would take it easy, the size was medium, while I do agree a high quality is a must, MMORPGs like this are filled with Niche builds among standard style Metas, High end players will likely have very unique Builds and playstyles, so much that intensive training may be required to iron a team's coordination.

So our Guild was one that had Players with unique styles but the average skill level even of more "Standard" builds and ways of playing a given class members is above the norm. Hence this event being done at a more relaxed pace, all players were contributing, it also helps that most of our guild were quick to build a nice sense of camaraderie with each other, so anyone not able to play quickly warned others and their absence was patched.

Hence why me, Fae and Sioux decided to go look for more new things that may lead to Unique scenarios. We of course picked off any of the event Cow monsters, their taste was that of some lightly cooked meaty beef.

Hektor POV

Doing as those two Cinnamon rolls of deadly talent were doing, I went solo to see if I find more unique things to earn even more skills, gear, or Titles. So here I was, walking through some ruined walls of a fortress, the scenario made me think this had been used as a Prison than a fortified position, one that had been overfilled with prisoners, as these walls had cages hanging, some even had skeletons.

Undead, some weird bomb maniac monsters and even some Thief like being that tried backstabbing attacks. I progressed through these walls and towers, the platforming wasn't super hard, just paying attention to avoid setting yourself into a dead-end situation is enough. Even without a Skill, the many years in FPS made me aware of how to spot good weakpoints of any target, so no wonders I am nailing one Crit after another. Soon, I find a shaft for a broken elevator, Vertical platforming now, huh?

Having taken that trip with Tanya and Adie for an Alps exercise is coming in handy, albeit he rather take anyone else in the Germanian Army train him than his own Wife, she is BRUTAL when it comes to Drilling you into a given topic, she finds important. With some careful planning as I go down, I get through these hellish shoddy footholds very fast. But he finds a peculiar caving in one spot with very flimsy wood as a foothold.

Doing a bit of Parkour and a well aimed wall jump, I get in that caving. Not much aside a rather pristine Key, it has a Y etched into the Head, so I store it and continue my dive through this overly deep Elevator shaft. A few more minutes in, and finally the end of this dive, what follows is a path, big enough for one person, but one would rather go along with a Tanker as the lead. That's for Wusses.

Sniping the Monsters, and at times even using their own Bombs at them by shooting them down, progress comes far smoother than I thought. Soon, I arrive at a Sturdy metal Door, some signals of rusting and dents from the other side. Opening it, I find it's a huge Storage Warehouse, Huge Boss, here it comes.

And it was…. Something Ugly with one eye, chained down, the Crane like Rails that likely had been previously used to move in the bigger crates present here, now were improvised as the Cuffs for this Monster, likely did little to save the people of these Ramparts from becoming prey to it.

Its attacks were basic yet a bother. First was trying to Ram against me, second was start a barrage of green gooey stuff that burned once fired, Last of the attacks, it would become shielded, and I would be forced into shooting off the Tentacles he summoned or brought to use at me. Sniping them dealt normal damage and had the usual Crit rates. Still, not one shot missed its mark.

Each of these tentacle assaults meant a new stage had been achieved, his attacks remained mostly the same, but the speed, delay and interval between them grew shorter each stage. At his last 10% of HP, it ended a Touhou like bullethell, the Crates that can be used as temporary shields would break in instants with how intense the barrages were. But I needed only one moment anyways.

[POWER SHOT]

Arrow readied, the brief respite the Crate offered gave me all I needed to get my shot. Bullseye on its Eye, Crit, enhanced Crit damage, and even a Bonus for Max accuracy. It went down in that one shot. A loot chest spawns, yup, more exclusive gear. It looked like… some clothes of a Prisoner.

[Rogue Beheaded Set]

"Loot is Loot I guess."

Testing it, it has Empathic growth, yet the design isn't for me, for now, however, it will suffice, not needing to repair my gear will pay off a good in saved Gold. But instead of merely a circle to either return to the Town or the Dungeon's entrance, a third choice, a path opened. Well, we have time, and the guild has been doing well in hunting those monsters of the event.

Following it, the exit was a Cemetery, just great. Lots of undead, ghosts and other scary looking monsters, time to test this new bow, Nerves of Marksman, boosted damage if I nail the timing to shoot the arrow, along boosted Crit damage if I Bullseye the enemy weakspots? Challenge accepted.

Using elemental arrows, applying a magical effect on them and so forth, it wasn't much of a challenge dealing with the Enemies, that this damned Cemetery however was filled with one trap after another, likely the Undead problem was getting bad enough the people whose deceased were buried here rather make this place a Bharat level Trap infested hell than let the undead made of their people be free to act.

But that all is merely some fancy background setting a player could come with about this place, for now, time to Visit the underground mausoleum area. The oaths were windy, of course, a crudely made tunnel network with little to no planning would become a maze, but I managed to overcome these claustrophobic spaces as a ranged build. The exit point was…. A Mine of whatever the Fuck Kind of Mineral these Crystals are.

So more platforming, new Monsters, Pixie would LOVE expanding her Repertoire of Dis- Monsters defeated, Me? Bothersome, was only weak from behind, yet made patrols in narrow paths, a Bird that caused shockwaves of Icy rocks my way, and even some kind of Frankenstein joke of a mockery that hit like a truck and was as aggressive as a damn Sybrian Bear. This area also had periodic earthquakes and Lakes of Lava to further restrict mobility.

Snipe and deal with what I had no choice, evade what I could, and explore as I could, being somewhat Tall at least allowed me to reach some rather bothersome ledges I doubt Fae or Pixie would reach normally, neither were lacking abnormal ways of getting to these, however. All that netted me three hidden chests with some ok loot, anyways, either the Guild or the Auction house would be the end destination. Now Hektor would face a new Boss.

A Gigantic Skeleton monster, decked in some Fancy armor, had been taking a bath or whatever in this Lake of Lava. And it was a damn multi step Boss to damage its HP. First, I had to damage the Hands, its primary attack source, enough, then an eye would pop from his left eye socket, sniping it as he spammed attack spells, tried slapping or punching me with the Fists or just slammed the floor hard enough to shake it and bring a rain of Stalagmites. Pain. In. The. Ass.

Enough of doing pro levels of Parkour, Bullethell dodging, archery to make even Heroes famous for their archery feats and even dancing a bit. All of that in one go at times, but I did it, this bastard is done for, and I got a new Loot Chest, of course more exclusive gear, but damn this is tiring. Yet there's more, gotta love such sudden marathon dungeon.

Now I am traversing my way through the Royal castle, if it wasn't filled with Gore here and there and the culprits, Monsters, and likely once had been the staff and Guards of this overly embellished palace. Defeating them probed to be fun, Pixie will have a feast coming here. Thankfully this castle wasn't as lengthy or trap infested like the previous areas, in no time I arrived at a Staircase. Leading straight to an open area high up.

On a Throne carved from Stone, a decrepit King sat, next to him, a huge figure in very Regal Armor, the Weird Lance with Blades on each side of the Polearms made for a weird weapon, if it drops, maybe will be a good fit for Sioux. Once I take a few steps, that Figure stands up, and takes guard. Boss fight it is

The enemy was huge, but his AGI and DEX weren't to scoff at. So the time it was taking to nail the bastard down was getting lengthy, still it was an AI, all I needed to do was get enough of an understanding of the bastard's patterns even in this last stage of his HP. Still, with only the basic attacks and some enchanted effect on his attacks, this last quarter of HP was like an Eternity. And when it had fallen, he felt quite the pride. A Lengthy Dungeon with THREE Loot chests? Damn, this is generous.

The Boss also dropped his Spear, but as I took it, it was already near breaking, one more strike and it's gone, that it also had so many features to BLOCK you from just stashing it away meant there's one last thing to do here. Spear in hands, the King that Boss put a shield over loses that one last line of defense. Looking at it, instead I pocket away a Book and Scroll he had been holding for Mike knows how long. The I take distance and pop his head off.

The animated Explosion would be fun to see, but I rather go back, my inventory is a handful of items from filling. The walk was more of just shooting at whatever threatened me, but without taking the Loot, I ended probably leaving a trail of all kinds of Monsters beaten and their Items left along. Time flew by as I had arrived back to the Guild as if it had been an instant.

"Ah, Hektor! How have your Search been?"

Pixie greets me as I enter, ah this Cinnamon roll.

"Found a place full of new Monsters, unfortunately I probably grabbed most of the unique stuff already."

"Ah, it's ok, I found more for myself, but since there's unique monsters there…. I will go there another day."

I Dropped anything else either Elenium or the Players would want such as gear and crafting components, I made sure the eggheads got the unique items I got once I left the dungeon, blueprints for several weapons, including that Lance Slash Spear of the last Boss, Sioux would be glad she would have a new unique weapon, even if a crafted one. Then, Fae arrives as well.

"Hektor! Since you're here, I have found something for you, Indestructible and even has Empathic growth! Despite being Tradeable as well."

What she gave him was a weird shaped "gun", the body had a weird leathery feel, the "cosmetic mouth" was actually one, and the scope had an eye for the Optical lens, the area he would use to aim with it had a sucker itching to connect with the user's eyeballs. Inspecting it further, it looked weird, but the ergonomics and general feeling of using it were fine, still not a fully fledged gun, but that would suffice for now.
