Desertsunoracle: I put this fanfiction in the abyss in favor of my other fanfiction. Here is the unfinished third part.
The bodies of several undecayed gargantuan dragons laid dead around the city as a protective wall. The massive stone and coral structures were decorated with gems, sea glass, fossils and pearls, statues of dragons and different gods. Over head a massive bubble of energy expanding over the whole city; The bubble being another unbreakable defense meant to keep out intruders and protect the delicate atmosphere of Ryugujo. Hana marveled at the beautiful city and it's inhabitants comprising of humanoids and sea creatures. Besides from the inhabitants, Nothing about this place changed after two thousand years. This day the sand and stone troddened streets were empty, solitary travelers made their way to Suijin's individual temple in the northern cavernous reaches of the city. A funeral proceed for the beloved fertility god.
Beside her companion Hana followed Shima through the city to the grand temple. The place where Suijin had been born at the beginning of his creation. In the center of the main room displayed a throne like pedestal. She placed the divine creation in the seat of the shrine. Shortly after a woman of ageless features greeted her new guests. She may appear human but his instincts and senses told the Senju otherwise. This priestess clothed in ancient faded blue robes possessed unnaturally strong chakra, Only outdone by her spirit. She was much older than Suijin himself but not a full god as he was.
"Welcome, Son of the forefather and daughter of The Lunar King." She broke from her greeting, turned to address Shima, "Shima... You allowed them to harm Suijin?"
"What the shinobi did was the only cure for our lord's aliments." Full of fear of her eternal temperament, Shima explained to the head priestess, "Namanari tempted to use the blackest night to enact her ritual jutsu. Due to our interference she failed."
"As she should," Shizuka's aqua blue eyes, behind her blonde hair, shifted to Hana, She said, "You share Namanari's chakra but you are not her."
"Yes, I'm Seihana..."
"I know." She cut off Hana rather rudely, turning to Tobirama, "Suijin to be defeated by his own children... As he would've wanted, Nonetheless, I thank you for bringing him back home, Internally Suijin himself wished for this moment."
While Tobirama kept silent analysing Suijin's stone faced priestess, Hana said,"And so his wish came true, Do you know what is in the divine egg?"
Shizuka pointed to ancient murals of three gods behind the generously decorated shrine. The mural on the far left displayed an ebony humanoid dragon king wearing royal armour of gold, in the center was Suijin himself. Both had their hands drawn out from their sides in a welcoming gesture. As drawn by Suijin's hand; The last child-like figure on the right had a mane of crazy gold hair, a halo, like his father he had small antler like horns, his eyes were closed.
She spoke, "First to be born at the beginning was Ryūjin, upon his defeat Suijin arose from his bones, Five thousand years (before receiving the vision of the prophecy) ago Suijin received a vision of Raijin's emergence, in preparation for his birth Suijin created this shrine, murals and procured gifts for him. This is Suijin's son Raijin... In what form he will take I don't know."
"When will he awaken?"
"An hour, a day, I don't know, You plan on staying until he does awaken?"
Hana nodded simplistically, "Yes,"
Shizuka offered excusing herself, "If you are tired you may take Suijin's chambers, the guest rooms are unhabitable... The city has many activities to preoccupy your time with as well... We will speak again at a later time."
"She is very business like... I will take a bath, and find myself some more comfortable clothes..." Hana pondered to herself, She asked Tobirama wishing his answer was a yes, "Do you wish to join me?"
"I'm going to Suijin's study and chambers to search for anything informative about his pursuits."
She frowned, accepting his choice, "As you wish."
He headed up the stairs to the second floor entering Suijin's quarters. Suijin's chambers were indeed magnificent. He brought the dragon aesthetic to a whole new excessive level with the jeweled and scaled dragons encompassing the three chambers, the stone wall decorations and columns of the canopy of his grand bed. A bed neatly made. Surprisingly women's clothing and slippers laid unused in the seat of a stone chair, before a low stone table with cups, scrolls and other clutter. Everything here was pristine, untarnished even though these objects had been in the same place for a very long time. Suijin had not used this room in over a thousand years.
These exotic clothes of silk and jeweled scales brought Hana to mind, he could still feel her chakra in her kiss and in her embrace, the places where she had touched him. Nonetheless these moments did not feel the same as they were before. She felt more alive than when they had kissed over a year ago, Hana had truly changed. The nostalgia and guilt still remained, The way he had treated her disgusted himself, and still then she forgave and loved him still the same. Even after the events of earlier Daisuke may have been right. He was taking advantage of Hana's affections. These past grievances had little value now. In despite Tobirama still chose to embrace her and hold true to his final exposé of adoration.
He whispered to himself, "Hana is the death of me."
An open scroll with unfinished writings and drawings on Suijin's cluttered desk caught his eye. The black ink strokes of a quill gave form to a colorless woman. From the blue eyed dragon god she took the luminous essence. An essence only cultivated in the gardens of the heavenly upper plains. With each replicated drawing of her she changed, her colorless long hair turned into a rouge red, her pale white skin into a blushed tone, Her pale eyes remained the same. She became to resemble more of an earthly human. As if she was an Uzumaki with byakugan.
Suijin called her Kaguya. The rabbit moon goddess. The goddess who, after five years, had betrayed him to join a human and to seek strength beyond the divine power. A power he had gifted her in exchange for switching sides in the conflict and her courtship. Unbeknownst to him the divinity he had seen returning in his unclear visions.
'I never took Suijin for a jilted ex-husband, He did not say anything about this either though... I doubt, as the fertility god; he'd admit to a goddess leaving him and having children with a mere human.' Tobirama chuckled thinking on, 'This answers one of the many reasons why Suijin hated Kaguya's children soo much and a possibility on the prophecy of Hana's daughter... Suijin must've kept track on his own blood line... The answer may reside in Suijin's individual temple.'
With the intention of continuing his search tomorrow Tobirama gathered the clothing for Hana. Under the women's clothing revealed white robes. He took these as well before embarking to Hana's location.
Searching Hana ran into a woman who appeared from behind a door before the stairs down to the bathing chambers. She seemed distraught with tears falling down her flushed pale cheeks. She stood there in the hall like a weeping ghost clothed in white. Her black hair covering her face, her shoulders slumped. Quietly weeping for Suijin. Whispering something about traitors under her breath.
Hana inquired from the black haired woman, "Is there something wrong? My lady?"
She whimpered wiping away her tears from tired eyes, "I've waited soo long for his return from the waters and lands above. Others told me he could not return home because of his internal fissure two thousand years ago... I heard of lord Suijin's passing, Now I have no choice but to return to my home and family in the mountains..."
Her wispy crying disturbed Hana, She exclaimed, "You waited two thousand years for Suijin to return? Who are you? Are you a ghost or a goddess?"
The woman revealed, raising her chin up, her serpent purple eyes looking past her, "I am Suijin's wife Yamata-hime."
"His bride? I see why you are sad... Though I heard he had many brides..." Hana dropped in a bow, "I don't mean to be disrespectful. He must've loved you very much. But what happened to them?"
"His mortal brides returned to land, raised families, eventually joining the earth." She recounted the practical.
"You don't have to return, I'm sure after lord Raijin awakens he will need a mother to look after him."
"I simply cannot do that."
"Why?"
"I am not his mother. I must leave to attend my lord's funeral."
"Very well then, Do you know where the bathing chambers are?"
Her index finger pointed down the stone staircase. After showing due courtesy Hana left Yamata-hime in the hall. She shifted down the stairs and through doors. Embedded in the hardened sand walls pearls, fossilized star fish, gems, Venus shells and other oddities from the sea puzzled together to create iridescent art resembling dragons, dophins and turtles. In the center of the room's flooring a pool with a wave moziac around it. Her senses detected a rejuvenating power from the steaming blue waters of the pool.
She dipped her hand into the water. With contact her skin became soft, the scars on her hands disappeared as if she had never received wounds. The healing power of this water amazed her. She bubbled with enjoyment at this discovery. Quickly Hana went through her utility bag taking out empty vails. She filled them all with the bath water then placed the potions back in her bag. Taking off her traveling attire and untying her ponytail she entered the pool. Sat down, relaxed, submerged herself fully for a few seconds then came back up to breathe. She could feel the water healing her whole body. Cupping her hands she drank from the pool. A surge of rapturous energy bolted through every inch of her body. Blissful moans emitted from her lips.
She thought drinking more of the water, 'This salt water is amazing... Is this really water?' Seihana thought of all the possibilities, 'Well, There is an otherworldly property about this substance... Like the essence of life... This is where Suijin bathed after all... By the gods...' She sprang up from the water as if it was a toxic danger. Quickly she dried off and dressed, There she hurried back up the stairs in the direction of the chambers. 'He may have been the most gorgeous creation but I never intended to bathe in his water.'
