Corneria
The Great Fox came out of light speed and arrived at the planet Corneria, the center of culture and government of the entire Lylat system. It was a beautiful green and lush world full of various terrains and climates. It is also filled with oceans. Descending slowly towards the planet's surface and below the clouds, the mothership reached a beautiful city in the mountain ranges. Star Fox and the Aerialbots flew out of the Great Fox and into the city.
"ROB, keep the Great Fox running while we're gone." Fox commanded.
"Affirmative, Fox." Replied the robot.
Both teams proceeded to fly towards a military base at the edge of the city. It was filled with dog soldiers on patrol. At the center of the base was a large tower. Fox received a transmission from the base.
"Star Fox, you and your guests have permission to land. Proceed." Said a military officer.
The two teams reach a hanger and landed there. Star Fox got out of their Arwings and were met by an elderly stout grey rabbit in a red, gold and black uniform escorted by dog soldiers. The Star Fox team immediately saluted him.
"General Peppy." Said Fox.
"At ease." Said Peppy.
The old rabbit looked over at the Aerialbots still in their jet forms.
"I presume these are the newcomers you kids told me about?" Asked Peppy.
"Yep. Pretty much." Replied Fox.
"Question, though. Why haven't they exited their ships?" Peppy asked.
"Oh wait till you see what happens next." Said Slippy.
As if on queue, the Aerialbots began transforming into their robot forms, shocking Peppy and his soldiers.
"Robots in disguise? And I thought I've seen everything." Said an amazed Peppy.
"You have nothing to fear, but I understand you have questions, and I will answer to the best of my abilities." Said Silverbolt.
The Aerialbots explained nearly everything to the rabbit general. The civil war on Cybertron, being intercepted by Decepticons, waiting for further orders from Optimus Prime. The general held his chin as he took in everything.
"These Decepticons. They are after you lot, the Autobots, just to end this war you're losing and take over the galaxy." Peppy said.
"I'm afraid so. And we will not ask for your help. I just wanted you to understand that you will be in great danger the longer we remain in your system. But I'm sure Optimus sent us here for a reason." Said Silverbolt.
"Nonsense! Those machines attacked Star Fox trying to get to you. On our turf, no less. And you said they want to take over the entire universe. So we will help you lot with your war. Because it's our war too, now." Said Peppy.
"I agree with him, Bolt. Your war is our war now. Especially since it might reach the Lylat System." Said Fox.
"No bad bot is gonna take over our system without a fight!" Falco said.
"Ditto." Said Slippy.
"We will fight beside you till the end." Said Krystal.
"Once this Optimus contacts you, I want to go with you. I'd like to meet this leader of yours." Said Peppy.
Just then, Silverbolt's eyes widened and put his hand on the temple of his head.
"Speak of the Devil, I just received a message from Optimus!" Said Silverbolt.
The Autobot pressed a few buttons on his left wrist and played the transmission on speaker.
"Calling all Autobots! This is Optimus Prime. Our new base has been established. Regroup with the rest of our forces at our headquarters. If any of you has made new allies, bring them with you. We will need their help in our war, just as they will need our aid. Optimus out." The transmission announced.
Every Lylatian present was in shock. General Peppy was the first to speak.
"Well this calls for another serious meeting. Men, get my ship ready!" The general ordered his troops.
"Roger that sir!" The soldiers replied as they scrambled out of the hanger.
"We will meet you there, Peppy." Said Fox.
Star Fox got into their ships and the Aerialbots transformed into their jet forms. Both teams flew out of the hanger and into the sky.
"ROB, get the Great Fox ready. We're gonna make some new friends." Said Fox.
"Copy that, Fox." ROB replied.
"Man, I can't wait to meet this Optimus guy. He sounds like a badass!" Said Falco.
"You have no idea, Falco. He's a badass like no other." Said Air Raid.
While Silverbolt was flying alongside both teams, he was deep in thought.
"I'm so glad we the transmission, and I hope the others too. But why did he want us to bring our new friends? Guess I'll find out soon enough." Thought Silverbolt.
So the general and the Star Fox team wants in on the Great Cybertronian Wars because the entire Lylat System might get caught in the crossfire.
And the transmission from Optimus Prime has finally been received so the Autobots could regroup! But why do their new allies have to come? What roll will they play? Find out in the next few chapters!
