Glenn pulled the truck through the gate and came to a stop. Negan got out of the truck, pulling Bella into his arms and he carried her towards the clinic house. Rick was already rushing over, Michonne and Jessie with him when they pulled up.

"What happened?" Rick asked immediately.

Negan shook his head. "She fainted. She was feeling sick and dizzy right before." He explained then Rick opened the clinic door and Negan carried Bella through. Carlisle stood from his desk and directed him to the room with the bed. Negan set her down gently and she started to stir.

Bella opened her eyes and was looking up at Negan now. "What?"

"You fainted sweetheart. We're back at Alexandria. Let the doc take a look at you."

Carlisle shined a light in Bella's eyes and then inspected her. "Have you been drinking water?"

"Yes, I have. I'm fine." Bella grumbled and tried to sit up.

Carlisle steadied her. "You fainted. Negan said you were sick and dizzy?"

"I'm fine. It was probably-"

"Are you pregnant?" Negan asked bluntly.

Bella looked at him frowning. "I can't be pregnant. I'm-"

"You have gotten pregnant before. You lost one tube, doesn't mean the other doesn't work." Carlisle said. "Bella you're taking a test." He said and moved towards cabinets and opened them, taking out a pregnancy test and handed it to her. "Go, take it."

Bella sighed and got down off the table and Carlisle made sure she was steady. She grabbed the test and she left to use the bathroom. It was impossible for her to be pregnant. The odds were so low.

Negan crossed his arms and looked at Rick. "Is she always like this?"

"Yes." Michonne and Jessie said before Rick could say something.

Negan just tsked and shook his head. "Daryl is still on the road. Want to radio him?"

"Wait and see what's going on first." Rick said and looked at his watch. "Alright. Carlisle, I'm heading back out. I'll talk to Glenn and see what's what." He said and left the clinic. Michonne hesitated, but she left with him.

Jessie looked at Negan. "Thank you for bringing her back."

"Of course. I'm civil when I want to be. Bella reminds me that I'm salvageable every time I see her, so… it's the least I can do. I'm going to go… talk about the solar panels." Negan said and left.

Bella took the test and waited in the bathroom. She paced a little as she felt her nerves try to take over. If she was pregnant, this would be a good thing. She hoped. It's not like her and Daryl had actively tried, they just didn't use protection ever because what was the point? It had been four years and no pregnancies so she was certain that she couldn't get pregnant now. Three minutes felt like an eternity, but Bella looked at her watch and then picked up the test. Two pink lines were staring at her back in the face. She was pregnant. She felt butterflies swirl around inside and she put a hand over her belly and looked in the bathroom mirror. She was pregnant.

Carlisle looked up at Bella when she walked back in. Jessie was still there, waiting to see what was going on with Bella. "So?"

"Two lines." Bella said and handed Carlisle the test. "I'm pregnant." She was still shocked that this was happening. She couldn't believe that after all this time, she was able to get pregnant.

"That's good." Jessie smiled. "How do you feel?"

"Nervous." Bella said and blew out a breath. "We should do an ultrasound. I want to check on the baby. Make sure it's… not ectopic." She said and looked at Carlisle.

Carlisle nodded his agreement. "Alright. Lay down, we'll take a look. Jessie hit those lights so we can see the monitor better." He said and rolled the ultrasound machine around to prep it.

Jessie dimmed the lights in the room then grabbed Bella's hand and squeezed it in hers. "It's going to be okay." She reassured.

Bella nodded and blew out a nervous breath. Carlisle lifted her shirt and then put the cool jelly on her abdomen before rolling the wand over her stomach. She closed her eyes and tried to settle her nerves as Carlisle searched for the baby.

"There." Carlisle said hitting something on the machine's keyboard and zoomed in.

Bella opened her eyes and looked at the monitor. "Carlisle. There's two."

"I know." Carlisle said with a nod and rolled the probe a little more to the side. "Yeah, there's two. Twelve weeks Bella." He said with a smile.

"Twelve weeks? Why haven't I had symptoms until now. I'm also not showing, are they okay?"

Carlisle nodded. "Everything looks good. They look healthy." He said and printed a few images. "Fraternal. Two sacks. That's good."

Bella looked at Jessie who was smiling down at her. "Twins."

"You're going to do great." Jessie said, squeezing Bella's hand again.

Bella sat up and Carlisle handed her the images. She looked at the picture and just studied the babies. "This is a miracle…"she murmured. "One baby was already a miracle, but twins? Carlisle how?"

"The body is a curious thing." Carlisle said with a smile as he moved back to the cabinets and shifted through bottles of pills. "Here is anti-nausea and here is iron and prenatal." He said and he handed those to her. "Drink more water, eat good and rest. No more going outside Alexandria. Leave all the runs to the others. I want you to take it easy. You're high risk and I don't want any hiccups."

Bella just nodded, taking the bottles of pills. "I can't believe this."

"Believe it." Carlisle said and patted her leg. "Send word to Daryl, Aaron and Morgan so they can head back. I think-"

"No. They should keep with their mission. They'll return in a few weeks. It's not… it's not that big of a deal."

"It is a big deal." Jessie said shaking her head. "Daryl would want to know."

Bella didn't want to make Daryl rush back. "No. If they rush back, then something bad can happen. Let's just let him come back naturally and we'll tell him then." She said and got to her feet. "I mean it." She warned Jessie and Carlisle, before she left the clinic. She saw Rick, Negan, Glenn and Michonne standing by the truck talking about the solar panels. She walked over after pockets the pill bottles for now. Her cargo pants could hold them easily. "Okay, Glenn, you Rick and Negan head back to the solar field. Take a crew, we need those panels if we want to prep the new town for Negan and some of his people. Negan, I'll let you decide who you want to move in over there. We need more metal panels. Negan if-"

"I'll send a crew to get the metal panels. I'll also send a crew to the solar field and do most of the work. Thank you for deciding that." Negan said and then nodded. "So? What's the verdict. What's wrong with you?"

"I'm pregnant. Twelve weeks apparently. So I'm grounded here in Alexandria for the time being. Rick, delegate tasks. Negan, you-"

Negan interrupted her again. "I'm on it Captain."

"Sergeant major." Bella corrected.

"Same thing." Negan said with a grin. "We'll handle it. Don't you worry your pretty little head about any of this."

Rick smiled at Bella. "That's great. Want me to send word to Daryl?"

"No. Leave him be. He'll find out when he gets back from his trip with Aaron and Morgan. I don't want him to be distracted." Bella said and looked at Glenn. "I'll be up at the house for a bit. Let me know when you move out again."

Glenn nodded, a small smile on his face. He thought it was great that Bella and Daryl were expecting. Bella was an excellent mother already and every child she met, instantly loved her. "You got it." He nodded.

[200 miles away North of Alexandria]

Daryl piled lumber on the trailer, stacking it perfectly so it wouldn't slide all over the place. Morgan and Aaron helped pile on the lumber. They found a lumber yard untouched so they raided what they could from it. This was a great trip. They had found several useful medical supplies at the hospital and machines. They had everything loaded down. They managed to hotwire another truck to pull this trailer they found to pull more stuff back Alexandria. They hadn't found solar panels yet, which was part of the main reason for their mission, but they were just getting things that were needed in general.

"Hey, there's that fencing too. We should load it. The new neighborhood development could used fenced pens for livestock that way. Bella said something about having to send some cows to the hilltop for space." Aaron said as he laid a post on the trailer.

Morgan nodded. "Grab everything. We'll use it. After this we should head back towards Alexandria to unload. Take a break and then I say head East towards the ocean. We could find other things that way."

Daryl agreed. They had a lot on this haul and East would be a good start too because it was closer to the ocean. They hadn't come across people to recruit to come live in their community but the walkers were plentiful. He often wondered how there were so many walkers still roaming after four years, but the walkers were looking nastier and nastier. It was from the rotting flesh from being dead. "I agree, let's get this stuff loaded and head back. It's been a long few weeks." He was eager to get home too, back to Bella.
