Alder: I have spoken with Viola Montebello, captain of the Holy Grail. She has agreed to aid us in our quest for the Gateway.
Tatiana: And you? No qualms about hunting seven keys, even if it means dealing with vigilantes.
Alder: Someday, you will know what true power is like...
(Tatiana soon meets up with Viola)
Viola: You shouldn't have bowed down to the watch dogs and airheads. They're gonna tenderize you, girl.
Tatiana: I'm sorry, what?
Viola: Look, you've clearly got a soul. You just need to work a little harder keeping it clean. We're all born marked for evil. Oh, am I rubbing you the wrong way?
Tatiana: It was the sort of rub I have learned to endure sailing among faces of such... fairness.
Viola: It's true, most of these men wouldn't accept you as a captain. So, what fair role would complement such unfairness?
Tatiana: I'll be your quartermaster. Nothing less.
Viola: All right. And as quartermaster, have you any immediate counsel for this tyro captain?
Tatiana: Rest and repast would do us good before hunting for the keys. Water for drinking. And hunting for food and repairs. And I know just the spot to do so...
Josie: We're going back home?
Marianne: Back to OUR home.
(Sure enough, they sailed to the home of the Silver Angels... Skirrow Island)
Sharp Tongue: Go on, Captain Queernabs! Tell me I'm under arrest! Tell me!
Viola: Them your brethren?
Razorback: Fly away, boyo! Back to your master!
Tatiana: Aye. They know who their queen is, and what kind of things I can do if they don't stay in line...
Islanders: It's her! Hey everybody, Tatiana's back!(Cheers and salutes ring out as the crew met up at the Fire Brand)
Razorback: By God, you're a sight for salty eyes! Come you in and have a drink.
Tatiana: Morning, all.
Sharp Tongue: Greetings, Milady. Who's this?
Tatiana: New friends, ones who need your help in finding the Gateway.
Razorback: My dear, if this is as you say it is...
Sharp Tongue: Ah, rot! It's fairy stories you prefer to gold, is it?
Tatiana: It's worth more than gold, Sharpie. Ten-thousand times above what we could pull off any Spanish ship.
(Back at Great Inagua, a familiar face has just come back, looking to aid his friends once more)
Kevin: Well, ain't this a gathering I can relate to?
Thomas: Welcome back, Kevin. I hope your search for Mr. Andrews was profitable.
Kevin: The man's about as slippery as they come, I couldn't even find him.
Thomas: I see.(Ava, Nathaniel, and Natasha soon arrive)Well, I see your other comrades are among us. Excellent. We could use some good news right now.
[Ava and Nathaniel hesitate. It's clear that they have anything but good news.]
Ava: Uh...(Minutes later)
Everyone else: WHAT?!
Kevin: Garrick? With the one thing that could destroy this world.
Ah Tabai: Attacks on our territories?
Elaine: An enemy hunting Opía?
Ava: Yeah. Look, we need to intervene quickly before trouble comes our way! Because when I was there with Nate and Natasha, I heard their first target would be...(Back at Skirrow Island)
Tatiana: Kingston!
Razorback: Kingston? For a key?
Tatiana: Yeah.
Sharp Tongue: I heard it was in the care of some big African guy, think he goes by...Antó?(Back at Great Inagua)
Nathaniel: If Garrick's dividing his forces, I'd say so should we! After all, it'd be best to help a fellow man out.(Ava smiles)And hey, if we ever see some old friends in the mix, we could help them out.
Kevin: I'll give Ms. Dinsmore your regards then, Elaine.
Elaine: And I'll give Upton yours. Then, we'll all save Opía together!
And so, both groups were on the trail of the Gateway. Though none of them knew what kind of power inhabited that island, they all wanted to make sure their cause would obtain it! And as Ava's group reached their destination at the same time as Tatiana's group, it was clear that the race had begun!
Nathaniel: Well, we made it. And...(He notices Augustin)Augustin? Augustin Dieufort, could it really, be you?
Augustin: Nathaniel? It has been a long time!
Nathaniel: Yeah. And I see...(While he indeed sees Bastienne Josèphe, he also sees that she has been mistreated as well)Oh...
Antó: Complements of one Victor the Enslaver!
Ava: Victor the Enslaver, huh? Well, I suppose if anything else isn't out of Garrick's reach, slavery is just the tip of the iceberg.
Luca: Just what we need. Another slaver!
Selina: And one who definitely is an abusive man at best!
Nathaniel: We will save our brethren nonetheless from this vicious man, and all who stand with him!
Luca: And what of the ones who stand with us? Clearly, this slaver has more power over the people than we do.
Thomas: Then we shall remove his power, and strip him of all he has taken for granted!
Luca: As one of your Quartermasters and new devotee to the cause, I will gladly ascertain your statement, sir!
Thomas: Good. We've a lot to do, and who knows how long we can do it before the enemy becomes aware of our actions today.
(The group then split up, as Luca found guards and eavesdropped on their conversation.)
Guard 1: And then he dismissed me. Without pay! I tell you, Victor pays us less, and pays his own servants more cash to keep his slaves in line!
Guard 2: Well, it can't be helped. Guy runs Mr. Prins' former estate as if it were his own, as if he bought it himself! Let's have another round and we'll think this through.
Guard 1: Are you buying? I just lost me job.
(Luca soon eavesdropped on another pair of guards)
Guard 3: They're holding the cur nearby.
Guard 4: Whatever for?
Guard 3: I don't know. To make an example of, or some such.
Guard 4: Well, what did he do?
Guard 3: Does he need to do anything? Sometimes examples just have to be made.
Guard 4: Now isn't that just the truth?
Guard 3: I wouldn't linger here. The walls have ears, if you know what I mean.
Guard 4: Are we followed?
Guard 3: We must warn the others!
The guards fled, and Luca chased one of them down and tackled him.)
Luca: You've got the information I need, mate.
Guard: No! I've heard of your kind... Ass- Assassin. Don't hurt me.
Luca: Listen, I'll let you go. All I want to know is where this slave is. Do you know of anyone being held... specially like?
Guard: Please! Let me live. My wife and children-
Luca: Come on then, out with it.
Guard: Look near the windmill.
Luca: See, was that so hard? No, it was not.(As he heads back to the others)I found your men. And if my hunch is correct, some of our own comrades straight outta Port-au-Prince. Meaning that our foe's empire stretches farther-much farther than we thought.
Antó: And I found where his brothers are kept. Help me release them.
Ava: The slaver has our comrades too...
Nathaniel: So, it'd be unfair not to free them as well!
Luca: If you say so, Nate.(They, along with Thomas and Antó set out to free the first group of slaves.)
Guard 1: What's this? Only survivor?
Guard 2: Only captive.
Guard 1: You didn't... lose... the battle then?
Guard 2: How can we win when the dogs hole up in the mountain? They just hide in caves and wait. See us coming every time.
Guard 1: I hope Sir Victor knows what he's doing.
Guard 2: I've no doubt he'll win in the end. I'll follow him to my death!
(They killed the guards and freed the first slave group.)
Slave: Thank you.
Antó: Hurry! To my bureau.
(They next tracked down the group of guards escorting the second slave group.)
Guard 3: We had a hundred men, and they... we couldn't even see them to count them.
Guard 4: What kind of weapons they got in them there caves?
Guard 3: Knives and axes mostly. A little gunpowder, not much. Barely more than sticks and rocks.
Guard 4: And yet this is the only man you could capture.
Guard 3: The only one!
Guard 4: They must be backed by some strange African magic. Curses and voodoo.
Guard 3: It's just not Christian.
(They freed the second slave group.)
Slave: At last.
Thomas: Go to the bureau.
(The gang reached the final slave group.)
Antó: You must exercise caution. The area will be well-guarded. You know how this works. Take your position.(They fought the guards and freed the final slave group.)
Slave: Thanks.
Antó: Meet me at the bureau.(Upon their return, they soon find Bastienne held captive by their foe)
Victor: Well, well, well. I didn't think I'd face some competition so early in my career. Problem is, I'm not going to let you walk away with my property! Boys, bring back my investments, would you?(The gang takes down wave after wave of his army of taskmasters and slave drivers)Hmm, it would seem you're not willing to let me reclaim my investments so easily.
Nathaniel: Let our people go, Victor!
Victor: That I simply cannot do, Assassin! If you want them freed, you must fight for it!
Ava: Where do we need to go?
(We soon find Ava's group at a stadium of some kind, making it clear that this is how the freedom of slaves is decided)
Victor: If you prevail, your wish will be granted. But if you lose, you'll never see your people again!
Nathaniel: I'm not so sure losing is an option then...
Luca: Then I know what to do, partner.(To Victor)I will fight! For the safety of the Maroons! For the Creed! And for all those your twisted business has harmed, I will fight!
Victor: We'll see about that, warrior! Begin!(Luca fights and defeats the first taskmaster/gladiator)Impressive, boy. It would seem the Creed has indeed given you some backbone...but will it be enough?(Luca defeats a taller taskmaster/gladiator)
Thomas: Not bad, Luca. One more round, and this fight's done for!
Victor: But how shall it be when the opponent is…me.(He unsheathes a sword from his cane, ready to face Luca)
Luca: For some reason, I think it's only fair that you are finally giving your workforce some much-needed entertainment, Victor the Enslaver!
Victor: Yes! Finally! Thank you! Almost makes me wanna spare your life.
Luca: Oh, you wanna spare me? How about you spare me the chitchat, alright? Let's do this.
Victor: Friend, I think defeating you will be the most crowning achieve—
Luca: Ugh, chitchat.
Victor: Achieve—
Luca: Chitty chitty chat chat...
Victor: A—
Luca: Chat chat chat.
Victor: Achieve—
Luca: Chitchat.
Victor: Okay... Now, calm down, Vickyilly-diddilly-diddilly-diddilly-diddilly. You've tried your best. Shodilly-idilly-iddilly-diddilly. Gotta be fair. Hostility-diddilly-diddilly-diddilly- Aw, hell! Diddily-ding-dong crap! That's it. Enough is enough!
Luca: Bring it on, old man! Bring it on!
Nathaniel: Anybody betting on Luca?(The others nod)Good, because I am too.(After a thrall of hurled insults, Luca defeated and assassinated the cruel slaver)
Victor: Help!(Luca stabbed his saber into his stomach)Help!
Luca: Who will come to your rescue? Your slaves? The overseers who follow your orders? Pathetic. What kind of man does not fight for himself?
Victor: Why-
Luca: Nothing personal, man. Just part of the job description, that's all!
Victor: You think freedom is something that you can give or take on a whim... To your people...freedom is just as essential as...air. And without it... there is no life. There is only...darkness.
Luca: Why tell me what your kind already knows?
Victor: Silly boy...if only you knew what was coming for you.
(He returns to the others, just as Thomas has his friend released)
Luca: It is done. He suffered badly. I made sure of it.
Ava: Not bad for your first major kill, Luca.
Luca: And yet, I feel like we've been played...
(While Ava's group exits the stadium, Tatiana's group is nearing Antó's bureau)
Tatiana: This is it. We made it.
Marianne: Do you see a chest somewhere?
Josie: I think so.
Sharp Tongue: Incoming!
Nathaniel: Hey! What are you doing here!
Razorback: Time to go!
(They throw smoke bombs at Ava's group)
Luca: I guess we're not the only ones toting smoke...
Ava: Aw, no. Antó was guarding a key, and now it's gone.
Thomas: Let's just hope our comrades are not in the same pickle as we are...
