Before The Beginning - Part 3:

Rarity's Backstory

( Back At The Theater )

Rarity { Commenting On Pinkie Pie's Backstory }: "That was a breath of fresh air, darling,".

Applejack { Speaking Admiringly }: "It certainly was. Ah like how yer family was supportive of what ya want to do,".

Pinkie Pie { Ready To See The Next Story }: "Aww shucks Applejack, you always know what to say. Oh well, who's next?".

Fluttershy { Speaking Nervously }: "Um…I kinda want to see Rarity's story…that is if…. you don't mind,".

Rainbow Dash { Admitting }: "I'm curious as well, Rarity,".

Rarity { Grabbing Her Remote }: "Well…I guess we might as well get this over with…But it's not going to be pretty,".

Rarity then presses the play button to start the story…

( Back In The Movie )

Just like the last two times, the camera zooms to another location. In this location, it shows a cave filled with lots of different kinds of diamonds and crystals. Inside the cave, a grayish-white Unicorn stallion appears to be gathering some crystals and diamonds with his magic aura and placing them in a brown basket. And he's not alone.

More Unicorns appeared in the cave and began gathering more crystals and diamonds with their magic and putting them in baskets. Meanwhile, outside of the cave, a few more Unicorns were waiting as they were given the baskets filled with gathered diamonds and crystals and moved on. One blue Unicorn mare with a red mane was up next and found itself carrying a heavy load of diamonds and crystals before moving on.

All of the Unicorns that are carrying the baskets appeared to be heading in one direction while the blue Unicorn mare is struggling to hold the heavy basket in balance. The other Unicorns walked to a hill where it is revealed that they are heading to their hometown which is a small town. And at the center of the town, there is a huge pile of gathered crystals and diamonds.

Rarity { Explaining While The Screen Was Showing Her Old Home }: "From Applejack's and Pinkie's Farm to my old hometown, we Unicorns have been quite busy with gathering diamonds and other crystals for the offering that we hardly have any time to do things for ourselves. But don't take my word for it dears,".

The Unicorns who gathered the diamonds and crystals headed to the pile and added the gathered minerals into the pile as they move on to gather some more. As they keep moving, a huge shadow was looming over them as a reddish-orange Unicorn Stallion with an orange mane noticed and looked up to see what appears to be a pigeon coming down for a landing, which got the stallion concerned.

And when the pigeon landed in his way…

"I'm Lost! Where's The Line?! What Do We Do?! What Do We Do?!" The Stallion cried out trying to find a way to get back in the line while other Unicorns bump into each other and saw the problem themselves.

"Help! We'll be stuck here forever!" A Unicorn mare said, seeing that it was hopeless for them to get past a small pigeon.

While they were trying to figure out how to get past the pigeon, they were approached by a couple of Unicorns making their way to the trapped workers.

One Unicorn is a tall blue stallion with a blue mane and tail with white streaks, and blue eyes, and his cutie mark is a blank piece of paper and feathered pin with black ink on it.

Following the stallion was a pink Unicorn mare with a violet mane and tail, pink eyes, and her cutie mark is of a flower.

"Do not panic! Do not panic! We are trained professionals! Now stay calm for we are going around the pigeon," The Unicorn Stallion said in a Shakespearean accent, keeping every Unicorn in the line calm.

"A-around the Pigeon? I-I don't -don't know if-if we can do that," the reddish-orange Stallion said nervously.

"Oh, nonsense. This is nothing compared to the twig of '93," the Blue Stallion assured them.

"That's it. That's it. Good! You're doing great! There you go, there you go! Watch my eyes and don't look away…and here's the line again," The blue Stallion said as he slowly guided every Unicorn to walk around the pigeon and back into the line.

"Hehehe, oh, thank you, Mr. Arrow," the reddish-orange Stallion thanked, feeling relieved and excited to be back in the line again as he and the others continued their work.

"Good job everypony!" Mr. Arrow said with a laugh of victory as the pink mare went up to him.

"Oh my, there's quite a gap Mr. Arrow. Should we warn the Mayor?" The Pink Mare asked, noticing the wide gap in the line in concern.

"I don't think we need to involve the mayor in this. She's got enough on her plate already…training her son," Mr. Arrow replied, reminding her that the Mayor of their town is busy teaching her son how to be the next mayor. And truthfully it was a little bit of a challenge.

"Oh, yes. Her young son, Spike, the poor dear," The Mare said, remembering.

Meanwhile, at the pile, a light mulberry Unicorn colt with a moderate harlequin mane and tail, and moderate pistachio eyes was pacing back and forth, looking quite concerned about something while his mother, a light purple Unicorn Mare with a dark green mane and tail, purple eyes, and her cutie mark is of a scroll, was standing around watching her son pacing. It's a little amusing to watch her son worry over something they do every year.

"Ooooh, I'm so nervous. They'll be here soon," The colt said, talking to himself very nervously.

"Just be confident, Spike. You'll be fine," Spike's Mother assured him with a smile.

"Oh, no! Mom, there's a gap! There's a gap in the line! What are we gonna do?!" Spike exclaimed in a panicked tone.

"It's okay, Spike. Gaps happened. We just lost a few inches that's all," A short green Unicorn stallion said, assuring Spike that gaps are perfectly normal.

"Oh, right," Spike said, feeling a little bit better but still shaken.

"Alright, Spike. Now what's the next thing we do?" Spike's Mother asked, wanting to know how much Spike learned under her teaching.

"Uuuh, oh, don't tell me. I know it, I know it! What is it?!" Spike said, trying to remember what happens next.

"We relax, Spike," His Mother replied, placing a comforting hoof on his shoulder to calm him down.

"Oh, right," Spike said, feeling a little better but also a little embarrassed. It should have been obvious.

"It'll be fine, Spike. It's the same thing year after year. They come, they take, they leave. That's our lot of life. Well, maybe not a lot but it's our life," Spike's Mother explained as she laughed and Spike only chuckled.

"Um, excuse us. Mrs. Mayor," a male voice called out.

Spike and his Mother turned their attention to see a family of two adult Unicorns walking up to them.

The first Unicorn is a light gray stallion with a dark grayish brown mane and tail, and brilliant cerulean eyes, and his Cutie Mark is of three American footballs.

The second Unicorn next to him pale fuchsia mare with a grayish indigo and Persian blue mane and tail, light cornflower blue eyes, and her Cutie Mark is of three cookies, two whole and one bitten out of it.

"Hondo Flank and Cookie Crumble. What can I do for you?" The Mayor greeted them in a polite manner.

"Have you by chance seen Rarity anywhere?" Cookie Crumble, the Unicorn mare, asked first.

"No, I'm afraid I haven't seen your daughter anywhere. But I'll let you two know if I see her," Spike's Mother replied, noting that she hasn't seen their daughter yet.

"Look Out!" Mr. Arrow shouted as Spike's Mother looked up and out of nowhere…

Crystals and Diamonds fell out of the sky and landed on Spike's Mother, burying her in a pile.

"Mom!" Spike called out in concern as he and everypony else approach the pile to dig the Mayor out.

Meanwhile, it appears to be Rarity who happens to be working on some new fashion designs and placing the diamonds and crystals on them to look more dazzling and such things. And whenever she's done, she gathers the less shiny crystals and diamonds in her magic and tosses them away…

Being unaware that she is tossing them at the Mayor, aka, Spike's Mother.

It wasn't long until Rarity heard some shouting and turned around to see what was going on.

"Hey! Stop That! You could've Killed Somepony Over Here!" The Pink Mare shouted out.

Shocked about what she had done, Rarity gasped and ran over to them, carrying her dresses with her magic.

"Oh, no. I'm sorry. I'm sorry!" Rarity quickly said, heading over to help whoever she buried under those gems she tossed away.

"Oh, it's Rarity," the Green Stallion groaned in annoyance.

"Not again," Cookie Crumble mumbled, feeling a little embarrassed about her daughter.

"Oh, dear. I'm so sorry," Rarity apologized quickly as she made it and wanted to help as the others already dug the Mayor out of the pile as she started coughing.

"Ah! The Mayor!" Rarity exclaimed, freaking out that she was burying Spike's Mother.

"Rarity, what are you doing?" Spike asked, helping his mother up to her hooves, luckily for him, she's not hurt too much.

"Oh, these? Why, they're my new fashion dresses I've designed. I used a few diamonds and crystals I borrowed to make them look extra shiny and amazing," Rarity explained, showing her dresses to Spike and his mother.

"Now Rarity these dresses are nice but we don't have much time for…," The Mayor tried to say, but Rarity interrupted her and kept on going about her dresses.

"Exactly. We never had time to do things for ourselves because we were so busy gathering gems for the offering. So I took the time to make these and other outfits," Rarity said as the other Unicorns were looking at her with either confused, annoyed or angered looks.

"You made more outfits?" Spike asked, quite surprised that Rarity managed to make more outfits instead of gathering more gems like everypony else. He cares about his friend but he doesn't understand why she doesn't follow simple rules.

"Yeah and I made an outfit for you too, Spike. Since you're gonna be the next mayor someday," Rarity added, pointing out that she also made an outfit for Spike as well.

Using her magic, Rarity grabbed a couple of fabrics and a few more gems to make one last outfit while the other Unicorns were still getting confused and annoyed by Rarity's waste of time making outfits.

"What?!" The short green Unicorn asked, turning to the others now more annoyed and confused than he was before.

After putting the materials together, Rarity was able to create a perfect mayor outfit for Spike to wear when he becomes the next mayor of their hometown.

"Ta-Da! I present to you the perfect outfit for our future mayor," Rarity announced, putting the outfit on Spike, although it was a little baggy, he'll grow into it when he's older.

Rarity's Parents and Spike's Mother couldn't help but chuckle at Spike's Outfit and knowing that the two have hidden feelings for each other.

"Thanks for the outfit, Rarity…," Spike tried to thank her, but Rarity interrupted him again.

"My, Spike you look absolutely amazing, and if I might add quite handsome too. Of course, you probably already know that and…," Rarity said, tripping over her words with a blush.

"Alright, listen, Rarity. Spike and his mother don't have time for this! You want to help us with this thing?! Then put those dresses away, get back in line, and gather those gems like everypony else!" the green stallion scolded Rarity, tossing her dresses away with his magic.

"Rarity maybe it's best that you should go," Spike suggested, not wanting to hurt her feelings.

"I'm sorry. I just was just…uh…," Rarity tried to apologize but after seeing the green Stallion pointing his hoof in the direction, she sighed and said with defeat, "...trying to help,".

And she headed off with her head hanging down in sadness.

Everypony watched as Rarity heads off into the woods by herself. And when she was gone, they went back to work on the offering. All except Hondo Flank and Cookie Crumble for they felt bad for their daughter. They knew Rarity was just trying to fit in but her fashion designing skills just make it harder and lesser of a chance.

( Back At The Theater )

Rainbow Dash { Being Shocked About Rarity's Family Life }: "Wow, you must have had a pretty tough childhood huh, Rarity?".

Pinkie { Speaking In Agreement }: "Yeah, they didn't even bother to look or wear the dresses that you made for them,".

Rarity { Noting The Facts }: "Well, I can't blame them. I have tried my very best and hardest to fit in…but I just made things far much worse,".

Fluttershy { Getting A Nervous Feeling }: "Um, how much worse was it?".

Applejack { Starting To Get The Feeling }: "Ah have a feeling that part's coming up next, isn't it, Rarity?".

Rarity { Grabbing Her Remote Control }: "Yeah, Applejack. But it ain't pretty,".

Rarity then clicks the play button and resumes her backstory movie…

( Back In The Movie )

The scenes continue with Rarity walking by herself until she heard her parent's voice behind her calling to her while holding her outfits and fashion designs.

"Hey, Rarity! Wait for us!" Cookie Crumble called out to her as she and Hondo caught up to their daughter.

"Oh, hi Mother, hi Father," Rarity greeted her parents with a disappointed look on her face.

"Rarity. You forgot your dresses back there," Hondo Flanks said, reminding Rarity that she left her dresses while showing them to Rarity with his magic. They really do like the work she did on the outfits.

"It's okay. I could always make another," Rarity assured them since dresses can be replaced and copied.

"Well, Rarity. We love your designs just the way they are," Cookie Crumble said, she has always loved the way how Rarity designed her dresses and outfits in her own way.

"Really? Well, then you two are the first. Nothing I make ever impresses anypony," Rarity said feeling mildly glad that her parents like her dresses, but a little disappointed that her outfits don't impress anypony else.

"But we're impressed by your dresses, Rarity," Hondo Flanks said with an impressed smile, trying his best to cheer Rarity up.

"Great. Only one success. What's the point? I'm never gonna make a difference neither will I get a Cutie Mark," Rarity said, giving up on herself about wanting to make a difference or earning herself a Cutie Mark.

"Now Rarity don't be hard on yourself. Besides, one success isn't so bad," Cookie Crumble said, trying to prove to Rarity that not all things are bad for her.

"Your mother's right, Rarity. Here, take a look at this," Hondo Flank said as he grabs a rock off the ground with his hoof and passes it to Rarity.

"Um, Father. It's a rock," Rarity pointed out, seeing that her father just gave her a rock. What was he trying to say?

"I know it's a rock at first sight. But if you just use your imagination then the rock can become something else. And you know some of the most amazing things actually comes from rocks and all sorts of material," Hondo Flanks explains to Rarity, teaching her about the majority uses for a plain rock.

"You mean this rock will one day become a masterpiece?" Rarity asked, a little confused but is slowly starting to understand what her parents are saying.

"Exactly, Rarity. So even though you may be a regular unicorn, you'll do great and amazing things," Cookie Crumble said with encouragement in her voice.

"You really think so?" Rarity asked with a little smile on her face. She was starting to feel a little better.

"Of course we do. And we think you'll do something that no Unicorn has ever done before," Hondo Flanks replied with an encouraging smile.

Feeling better, Rarity gave her parents a thank-you hug with a happy smile on her face. Although, their family moment was interrupted when they heard a distant trumpet sound which they know means one thing…

"They're Here!" Cookie Crumble said with a hint of fear in her voice.

And they aren't the only ponies who heard the trumpeting. All the Unicorns who are gathering the gems stopped and heard the trumpets too as well. Some of the Unicorns who were posing as sentries began blowing horns and trumpets to warn everybody in the town.

As soon as every Unicorn heard them, they all began to panic and run around for they knew it means that time is up and someone is coming to their town.

"Quick, we need to get back!" Hondo Flank said as he and Cookie Crumble ran back to the town.

Rarity was about to follow her parents, but one of her dresses got caught on a branch and as Rarity struggles, she finds herself shot back to where she was and further away from her parents.

Back in the town, all the Unicorns were still screaming, panicking, and running around in fright.

Spike huddled close to his mother so he won't be out of her sight in the panicking of their herd. It didn't take long for Spike's Mother to let out a whistle and everypony stopped when they heard it. That's when Spike's Mother gave her order to everypony who still had baskets of gems with them.

"Alright, everypony. Single file, all gems to the offering pile, and to the shelter; Now move out and let's go!" Spike's Mother instructed her order and soon every Unicorn quickly took their baskets of gathered gems to the pile, put them in the pail, and they all made their way to the shelter.

After putting all the gems in the pile, all the Unicorns quickly made their way to the shelter where they will be safe. When they made it inside, they all began to gather to find spots to wait out the offering. Spike and his Mother found a spot to sit and wait out the offering.

Outside, Hondo Flank and Cookie Crumble were the last Unicorns to enter the shelter. But before they head inside, they came to realize that Rarity is missing,

"Wait, where's Rarity?" Cookie Crumble asked, wondering where her daughter was this time.

"She's probably in the shelter waiting for us inside. Come on," Hondo Flank suggested as he and his wife head inside with the others.

But what Hondo Flank and Cookie Crumble didn't know is that Rarity was actually still outside. Rarity was running with her dresses in her magic to the offering pile so she can get into the shelter.

"Hey! Hey, wait for me! Get the gems to the offering pile and then to the shelter," Rarity said as she made it to the Offering Pile.

When Rarity got to the pile, she decided to toss her dresses into the pile and runs off to the shelter. But then things took a turn for the worst because one of Rarity's creations fell off and hits one of the rocks that keeps the pile in balance. After the rock was knocked off, the pile began to collapse and fell, which caught Rarity's attention as she looked back and shrieked.

"No, no, no, no, no, no, no!" Rarity panicked as she helplessly watch all the gems falling out of the pile.

Rarity tried everything to keep the gems from falling. She even tried to stop it by using her magic but it was already too late. Because by the time Rarity used her magic, all the gems have already fallen down over a nearby ledge.

Rarity looked down at the ledge and saw all the gems they have collected are now at the bottom of a large lake.

"Oh no," Rarity said, greatly shocked at what she had done.

"Mrs. Mayor! Mrs. Mayor! Mrs. Mayor!" Rarity shouted in panic as she ran to the shelter to warn the Mayor as fast as she can.

As Rarity entered the shelter, shadows appeared, and barking and howling were heard outside of the shelter.

{ Movie Gets Paused Here }

( Back in the Theater )

Pinkie { Speaking In Disbelief }: "Wow…I knew things were going to be bad but I didn't think it was going to be that bad,".

Fluttershy { Noting }: "Definitely a hard life,".

Rainbow Dash { Asking }: "But why do I have the feeling that this is just the beginning?".

Applejack { Asking Next }: "Something tells me that things are gunna git worse ain't it?".

Rarity { Grabbing Her Remote Control Again }: "Yeah…. just watch,".

Rarity presses the play button and resumes the movie back up…

( Back In The Movie )

In the shelter, all the Unicorns could hear all the barking and howling, which means their guests are there. Everypony was nervous and scared, some even held their kids close so they would feel safe. Even Spike and his mother huddled close, this is by far more intense than anything they've ever encountered.

"They come, they take, they leave. They come, they take, they leave," Spike repeated to himself, remembering what his mother has taught him about the offering.

Meanwhile, Rarity was making her way through the crowd to reach the Mayor and Spike so she can tell them the bad news.

"Spike. There's something I need to tell you," Rarity said, trying to get Spike's attention.

"Not now, Rarity," Spike said, knowing that now isn't the time to hear Rarity out. He just wanted the worst part of the year to be over.

"But Spike it's about the offering," Rarity said, trying to warn him about the offering incident. She knew something bad was going to happen and had to warn somepony.

But Spike shushed her as Rarity remained nervously silent, knowing that this will definitely not end very well.

After the barking and howling were done, familiar voices were heard outside and they don't sound like very happy voices.

"Hey, what's going on?!" The First Voice asked, sounding angry.

"Yeah! Where Are The GEMS ?!" Another Voice asked next, sounding just as angry.

This made all the Unicorns gasp in shock, all the gems they have gathered aren't there anymore. They wondered what happened to all the gems and who was responsible.

But Spike, however, had a feeling he knows who is the pony responsible for all the gems being gone.

"What did you do, Rarity?!" Spike asked as he turned to Rarity with an angered look on his face.

All the Unicorns looked at Rarity as she nervously gave her answer, "It was an accident,".

After Rarity gave her answer, paws suddenly punched through the walls of the shelter, creating huge holes. And entering through those holes were no other than…

Diamond Dogs!

As they entered the shelter, all the Unicorns began to panic and run while the Diamond Dogs began chasing them for fun, well, in their own way that includes biting and barking.

Two Diamond Dogs in particular, Fido and Spot, entered the shelter as well. Spot has already begun chasing some Unicorns while FIdo demanded, "Where Are The Gems?".

While the Diamond Dogs were bullying the Unicorns, the Unicorns either panicked and ran, some huddled together in fear, and even Rarity and her parents tried to get away from them. But as they were about to escape, four legs landed in front of them and the chaos suddenly stopped.

Rarity and her parents looked up and saw that towering above and glaring right at them was no other than the leader of the Diamond Dogs…

"R-R-R-Rover," Rarity stuttered as she and her parents backed up slowly in fear.

Everypony remained silent as Rover walked over Rarity and her parents looking quite casual. While Rover kept walking, all the Unicorns backed up or moved out of the way in fear while remaining quiet. After remaining calm and having finished his walking, Rover stopped and asked a very important question…

"So where is it?" He demanded in a quiet angered tone.

Rarity and all the Unicorns were still silent. But Rarity was actually frightened for she knows what Rover was talking about.

"Where Are The GEMS?!" Rover demanded in a loud angry voice as it echoed throughout the whole building.

But all the Unicorns remained silent in fear. At least until Spike spoke first…

"Isn't-isn't it out there?" Spike asked, surprised to hear that the gems are no longer outside.

"WHAT?!" Rover asked as he approaches Spike and his Mother.

"The gems were sitting in the center of the town and-," Spike tried to explain to Rover.

"Excuse me?!" Rover shouted, causing Spike to stop and become nervous.

"You sure it's not out there?" Spike asked, very nervously.

"Are you saying I'm stupid?" Rover asked with a bored look.

"No," Spike answered nervously with a gulp.

"Do I look stupid to you? Let's just think about the logic shall we? Let's just think about it. If it was out there, would I be in here to your level looking for IT?!" Rover asked, causing Spike to back up away from him in fear, he should have thought better about trying to speak.

Spike wasn't even sure if he has the words to reply for he was too scared to speak. He is still a young colt after all.

"Why am I even talking to you? You're not the Mayor. You don't even smell like a Mayor," Rover said, sniffing Spike for the scent of the Mayor.

"He's learning to take over from me, Rover," Spike's Mother explained.

"Oh, I see. Under new management. So it's your fault," Rover said, thinking that it is Spike's fault that all the gems are gone.

"What?! No! It wasn't me! It was…," Spike said, trying to tell Rover that it was Rarity who lost the gems as Rarity hid behind her parents to avoid being in trouble. And in truth, Spike was already feeling bad for almost getting her in trouble.

"Ah-ah-ah! First rule of leadership: 'Everything Is Your FAULT'. It's a Give and Take World, Kid. One of those 'Magic Of Generousity' kind of things. Now let me tell you how things are supposed to work," Rover said, sitting Spike down so he could explain how things work around these parts.

Fido, Spot, and the other Diamond Dogs listened as Rover began to explain to Spike how the offering works between Unicorns and Diamond Dogs.

"The Caves hold the gems, the Unicorns gather the gems, the Diamond Dogs take the gems…," Rover said, explaining the order of the Equestrian Society between Unicorns and Diamond Dogs to Spike.

Before Rover could say any more, Spot interrupted with his babbled talking, of course, the Unicorns couldn't understand him. But Fido does for he knows what Spot is saying.

"That's right, Spot. And the Alicorns help the Unicorns and defeat the Diamond Dogs," Fido said, translating what Spot is saying.

Spot then went on with his babbling and laughing about how Alicorns are at the top of the Equestrian Society while also mentioning a time when they first encountered Alicorns, which was starting to annoy Rover.

"Spot," Rover said, trying to tell Spot to stop babbling about Alicorns but Spot just kept on babbling and laughing, getting Rover more annoyed than ever.

So Rover walked up to Spot and grabbed him by the tail, causing him to yelp in pain, to have a word with him alone.

"I swear, Spot. If I didn't allow you into my pack and promised to not kill you, I would kill you!" Rover said, pinning Spot against a wall and reminding him of their agreement while feeling very agitated.

Spot reply in babbling telling Rover that nobody appreciates that more than he does.

"Be quiet, Spot. I don't want to hear another sound from you while we're here. Do you understand me?!" Rover ordered.

Spot remained silent.

"I said do you understand ME?!" Rover asked again, getting very irritated.

Spot only babbled in reply, reminding Rover that he told him not to make another sound. And that made Rover so mad that he wanted to hit Spot right now. But Spot reminded him again and Rover instead punches a hole into the wall with a growl before turning to everyone else.

Everyone looked at Rover feeling greatly scared by his anger. But Rover regained his composure and tried to look friendlier.

"Hey, now I'm a compassionate Diamond Dog. There's still a few months before the hard times arrive. So you can all just try…again," Rover said with an evil grin on his face and snarled.

"But Rover since the hard times are coming, we need this time to gather the food we need," Spike's Mother requested, wanting Rover to give them time off to gather the food they need.

"Look, if any of you Unicorns don't hold your end of the bargain, then I can't guarantee your safety and there are creatures out there that will take advantage of you. Somepony could get hurt," Rover said, reminding them of their agreement and snapping his finger.

Suddenly growling was heard, and every Unicorn turned to the source of the sound. An orange Unicorn filly with a pink mane and tail, and blue eyes, was already starting to feel scared as two Diamond Dogs moved aside to reveal a Diamond Dog going all crazy and savage and being held back by a leash.

Frightened by the Diamond Dogs appearance, the young filly tried to run off but she ended up being grabbed by Rover.

"What's the matter little one? You afraid of Diamond Dogs?" Rover asked tauntingly, approaching the leashed Diamond Dog as the unicorn filly began to whimper in fear of the savage Diamond Dog.

"No," Rarity whispered, knowing she can't just stand around and do nothing. She needs to help the filly and stop Rover.

"You don't like Biter?" Rover asked, nearing the Unicorn filly close to the Savage Diamond Dog.

But just before Biter the Diamond Dog could even harm the young filly, Rarity stepped out and shouted, "Leave Her Alone!".

This caused everything to stop as Rover looked over at Rarity. He was surprised and shocked to see a little Unicorn filly stand up to him and tell him something to do.

Shocked and angered, Rover approached her with the Unicorn filly in his grasp.

"You want her? Go ahead, take her," He challenged, holding the filly by the head.

But instead of taking the filly back, Rarity just remained silent and thought it was best for her to back down.

"No? Then get back in LINE!" Rover ordered her, seeing her back down and hesitate as Rarity backed up back into the crowd with her parents, feeling like a coward.

"It seems to us you Unicorns are forgetting your place…," Rover said, letting the filly go as she heads back to her parents for protection.

Then Rover turned to Spike and his Mother and made up his mind, "So let's double the order of gems," He said, holding up two fingers to show that the order of gems has been doubled.

Rarity and the other Unicorns gasped in fright and shock when they heard that.

"No, but-but…," Spike said, trying to reason with Rover about the situation but Rover ignored him and kept walking.

"We'll be back when you have all the gems. When all the caves are empty," Rover warned them.

Spike looked outside and saw the caves nearby.

"You Unicorns have a nice summer. Let's Move Out!" Rover ordered, turning to his pack.

Soon all the Diamond Dogs began to head out and leave the town, barking, laughing, and howling.

After they were gone, all the Unicorns turned their attention to a certain Unicorn filly with glares on their faces and that unicorn filly is…

Rarity.

Rarity saw the looks on their faces and chuckled nervously with a nervous smile.

Fluttershy { Speaking While The Screen Showed The Unicorns Turning Their Attention To Rarity }: "Man, that was terrible…not too scary. That's worse than anything we've been through, except for Twilight of course,".

Applejack { Agreeing With Fluttershy }: "Definitely not an easy life,".

Pinkie Pie { Admitting}: "Even a party wouldn't be enough to help here,".

Rainbow Dash { Getting A Little Scared }: "What did they do after that?".

Rarity { Speaking Rather Sadly While The Screen Shows Her Young Self Chuckle Nervously With A Nervous Smile }: "Just watch,".

A Few Hours Later…

At the Courthouse, The Mayor was banging a gavel to get every Unicorn, who has gathered at the place, to hear her judgment on what she had for Rarity.

"Rarity, what do you have to say for you and your parents?" She asked, turning to Rarity and her parents who are standing at their stand.

"Um, Mrs. Mayor. What happened today wasn't Rarity's fault. We thought she was with us," Hondo Flanks said, raising his hoof and sticking up for his daughter. He didn't want nothing bad to happen with his daughter.

"Indeed, and we're sorry for that. We just didn't mean for things to go wrong," Cookie Crumble said next, also sticking up for Rarity.

"And I also want to say that I didn't especially mean to make you look bad, Spike," Rarity said, looking at Spike, trying to apologize to her friend for making him look bad.

"Well, guess what, Rarity. You did," Spike said with an angered grin, reminding her that she did make him look bad. They might be friends, but as future mayor he had an image to uphold.

"I was just trying to help everypony," Rarity said, now feeling ashamed of herself for getting everypony in trouble and having them work double time on the bargain.

"Then help us, Rarity. Don't help us," Mr. Arrow said poetically.

"Wait, Help?" Rarity said, perking up from what Mr. Arrow just said, and started to get an idea.

"Rarity, since you have caused us enough trouble. The Court and I will decide the punishment for you," The Mayor announced as she and the Court began to discuss what punishment Rarity should receive from them.

"But Ms. Mayor, please. Can you please give Rarity another chance?...," Hondo Flanks asked, begging the Mayor and the Council to give Rarity another chance instead of a punishment.

While the grown-ups were discussing, Rarity was thinking in her head about what Mr. Arrow said about helping. And it suddenly hit her, maybe Mr. Arrow is right about something. Alone, they don't stand a chance against the Diamond Dogs. But with the help of other ponies, they would be a force to be reckoned with.

"Yes, Rarity didn't mean to give us a lot more trouble. We're begging you. Please, just give Rarity a little more time fit in and help us," Cookie Crumble said next, asking the Council to give her daughter another chance to fit in and help them.

After some careful thinking, Rarity then got an idea from what they said and thinks it might be just work in their favor. So Rarity decided to tell them her idea.

"That's It!" Rarity said out loud, rather excitedly from inspiration in her mind.

Her shout caught everyone's attention, including her parents and the Council.

"Wait, what's it, Rarity?" Hondo Flank asked, wondering what Rarity was talking about.

"Don't you guys see? We could find somepony to go and find help," Rarity said, explaining her idea to everyone.

The Council and the other Unicorns gasped in shock and fear at Rarity's idea. They know that sending somepony to find help would only mean one thing…

"You mean to leave this town, Rarity?" Spike asked, quite surprised that Rarity is saying they should send somepony to leave the town to find help. It seemed like a mission for somepony with a death wish.

"Hmmm, why did I think of that? Oh! Because it's Suicide!" The Mayor said sarcastically at first but then become serious.

"The Mayor's right. We never leave the town. There are Alicorns, Diamond Dogs, Manticores, and bigger Ponies out there," The Short Unicorn Stallion stated, warning Rarity of all the dangers and perils that could be outside of their town.

"Exactly. That's my point. We need other Ponies. If we can find other ponies, they can help us fight. And rid us of Rover and his pack," Rarity said, explaining her idea some more.

"That's ludicrous!" Mr. Arrow exclaimed in disagreement, thinking Rarity's idea was crazy and ridiculous.

"Who would do a thing like that?" the pink Unicorn Mare asked, wondering what Unicorn would be crazy enough to do a task like that.

"I'll volunteer to do it. I'm the pony who got us into this mess, I might get us out of it," Rarity said, volunteering herself to do the task for all the Unicorns in the town.

"Now, Rarity, you're idea sounds perfect. But you know that nopony is gonna help a band of Unicorns," Hondo Flank said, telling Rarity the flaw in her idea about other ponies helping them and their town.

"But still, we have to try. Oh, maybe I could even find us a perfect new home for us. Perhaps a place where we and everypony don't have to worry about those Diamond Dog Bullies," Rarity said, thinking about finding about finding a new home for her people of the town.

"But, Rarity. If you do go, then you'll be off searching us for a new home for weeks, maybe even years," Spike said, thinking Rarity might be absolutely crazy about going on a search all by herself.

However, the other members of the Council began to get an idea of what Spike just purposed.

"Mrs. Mayor can we have a word with you and your son for a second?" the Green Stallion asked as Spike's Mother nodded in reply and they huddled together to discuss their decision.

"You know Mrs. Mayor, for once, I have to agree with your son, here," the Green Stallion said, thinking that maybe Spike and Rarity might be right about this.

"Wait, what are we agreeing to here, Mr. Checker?" Spike's Mother asked, becoming a little confused about what the green stallion was talking about.

"To let Rarity find us a new home while we try and depart of Rover's Demand," Mr. Arrow replied, explaining the idea.

"And if Rarity does find us a new home…," the Pink Unicorn mare said, thinking that the idea just might work after all.

"Then we'll be free from the Diamond Dogs for life," Spike said, catching up to what they are saying and thinking as they all nodded in agreement.

After making their decision, the Council turns to Rarity as Spike gives her his answer.

"Rarity, the Council has come to a decision. We have decided to grant you your request," Spike announced, Rarity was a bit nervous at first but after hearing what Spike said, she perked up with a smile. Now she has a chance to prove herself to everypony.

"Really?" Rarity asked with a smile.

"REALLY?!" Hondo Flanks and Cookie Crumble asked in unison surprise.

"Yes, really," Spike replied, letting them know that he's being serious.

"Oh, thank you, Spike. Thank you so much for this chance. I promise you I won't let you all down," Rarity said, thanking Spike and the Council for granting her request to find them a new home and some help.

"Well then, come on, Rarity. Better get you ready for your journey," Cookie Crumble said as she and her family left the Court Room to prepare Rarity for her journey…

( Outside Of The Unicorn Town )

"I wish there was another way. I still don't like the idea of you going into the outside world all alone, you're just a filly…" Cookie Crumble said with a sigh.

"And there are a lot of unknown dangers out there as well. Perhaps we should go with you…" Hondo Flanks said.

"Mother, Father, you're both needed here. I won't be gone forever. But I will be back with information on what is a safe place for everyone, or help. But we'll see each other again," Rarity said, putting a satchel on her back.

The two Unicorns watch the young filly until she is no longer in sight.

Spike from his home watches from a window. He had wanted to say goodbye, but it hurt too much. He wished he was brave like Rarity. But then he looked at the Mayor's outfit Rarity made him. This was his home, somepony had to stay and watch everypony, and that would be his job. And he would also watch out for Rarity's parents and make sure they would have everything they need until their daughter returns.

Author's Note: Hey, everybody, it's me, Dinoman213 again. Sorry I made you folks wait again but my friend Redwall4ever22 and I have been doing some brainstorming again to see how Rarity's backstory might play out and well...here it is.

Now that just leaves one more backstory to go.
