Chapter 6-the final chapter!

Thank you all for reading, reviewing and staying with the story!

Thanks again to my super friend and super beta SnoopyLover60 for her help and never ending awesome ideas!

I do not own FSOG.

I wake up and after a few moments I realize I am lying in a hospital bed with several wires and an IV attached to me. My vision comes into focus and I see my mom asleep in a chair next to the bed, holding my hand. I squeeze her hand which wakes her up, and the smile and relief on her face is indescribable.

"Christian!" she gushes. "OMG you're awake. Let me get your doctor" and opens the door and calls one of the nurses and tells her to get my doctor.

She comes back to my bed and takes my hand in hers and asks "How are you feeling?"

I tell her I have a massive headache and ask her what happened.

"You don't remember?" she asks.

I close my eyes and shake my head no, and just then my doctor comes in.

"Good evening Mr. Grey. Welcome back. How are you feeling?"

I guess that's a standard question from everyone, so I repeat myself, telling him I have a bitch of a headache.

He nods, and writes something down on my chart then comes over to the side of my bed so he can check me over.

He takes a flashlight out and asks me to follow the light with my eyes, without moving my head, and checks the bandage that is wrapped around my head.

"The headache is to be expected—you hit your head pretty hard when you fell. We took an X-rays and didn't see any fractures to your skull, but I want to do a CT scan now that you are awake. You have a nice gash on the side of your head from the fall which required a few stitches, but I want to keep you for one more night for observation. Providing the CT scan comes back normal, I see no reason that you can't go home tomorrow. I will tell the nurse to get you ready for the scan." He turns to my mom, smiles and tells her "Your son is fine, Grace. Go home and get some sleep" and leaves the room.

My mom's shoulders sag in relief and I see tears start to stream down her face.

"Christian!" she sobs. "You had us all so scared. When the hospital called and said they had just brought you in I didn't know what happened. Do you remember anything?"

"No...I remember leaving for work this morning—I had an early morning meeting with the CEO of Micronic Industries, but after that, everything is blank."

I look at my Mom and she has a look of complete confusion on her face, as if she has no understanding of what I said.

"Christian, what are you talking about?"

"GEH is buying Micronic Industries—it hasn't been made public yet. I met with the CEO this morning to finalize the contract...Ros and I have been working on it for months, and it finally closed today."

My mom is shaking her head, trying to take in what I said, and asks "Christian, what is GEH?"

Now I am confused…what does she mean what is GEH?

"What do you mean, what is GEH? It's My Company—Grey Enterprise Holdings! What's wrong with you, Mom?"

She smiles and laughs, asking me again what the last thing is I remember. Now I am confused, since I just told her what I did this morning and she is acting like she has no clue what I am talking about.

"Christian you don't remember going to Elena Lincoln's house Sunday morning? We sent you over there to clear rubble in her back yard. You don't remember doing that?"

I stare at her and I now have no idea what she is talking about.

Mom smiled and asked "We sent you over there in exchange for you getting your car back. Elena asked you to move something heavy for her down in the basement. You don't remember any of this?"

I shook my head no and mom continued.

"Elena said after you moved the box, you tripped and hit your head on the bottom step and knocked yourself unconcious. She called the ambulance when she couldn't wake you up and they brought you to the hospital and called me when you arrived. You have been unconscious since they brought you in yesterday afternoon.

I stare at my mom, trying to comprehend what is going on….then it finally dawns on me…

Holy shit—it was all a dream? GEH, Ana, Gia Matteo, the lawsuit?

I look at my mom and she must see the look on my face.

"What's wrong, Christian?"

"Wow—it was a dream. I mean, it was the mother of all dreams" I laugh. "I dropped out of Harvard after 1 year and started GEH with a loan from a private investor. Dad was so mad that I quit that he wouldn't give me my trust fund so I had to borrow the money from someone else…I was CEO, and, uh, …well never mind the rest—You don't need to know all the gory details."

We both get a good laugh out of everything, and just then a nurse comes in to take me for my CT scan.

"I will bring him back in a little while, Dr. Grey" the nurse tells my mom as she helps me get into the wheel chair and wheels me out the door.

I chuckle to myself and think "A dream…a fucking dream!"

45 minutes later I am back in my bed in my room, and my mom comes in to check on me.

"They will have the results of your scan in a few hours—as a favor to me the radiologist and your doctor will review them ASAP and get with us immediately. Like your doctor said—if the results are clear he will release you to go home tomorrow morning."

Oh school! Yes—my blue eyed beauty is there.

"When can I go back to school? I don't want to get behind."

Actually I can't wait to see my blue eyed beauty again…now that I have my car back I can finally ask her out.

"I called the school today and told them you would be out for a few days to a week, and your teachers will upload your homework assignments in your student e-file. You can work on them at home and go back next week."

I'm disappointed that I have to wait another week to see my girl, and a few minutes later there is a knock on the door and the nurse walks in and asks

"Mr. Grey, there is someone out here to see you—do you feel like having a visitor?"

I tell her yes, wondering who it is, and when the door opens I cannot believe my eyes when she walks in—my blue eyed beauty!

I grin like an idiot, not being able to suppress my surprise and happiness that she is standing before me, so she moves closer to my bed and shyly reaches out and touches my hand.

"Hi Christian-I'm Anastasia Steele, or Ana. I was looking for you at school today and when the lady in the office told me you were in the hospital I had to come over to see if you were OK, and to thank you for saving me from that jerk, Jack Hyde."

My face lights up and I can't wipe the smile off my face, and just then my mom excuses herself and says she will be back later and tells Ana to have a seat.

We spend the next hour talking and laughing, and when she gets up to leave, I build up the courage to ask her out Saturday night.

She gives me one of her million dollar smiles and says "Mr. Grey, I would love to go out with you Saturday night. But if you aren't up to going out, I can come over and we can order pizza and watch scary movies and you can protect me from all the monsters again" she giggles.

I give her my phone number so she can text me hers, then she leans down and gives me a quick kiss on the cheek and winks at me "See ya Saturday, Christian."

I reach up and touch my cheek where she kissed me and think

Wow—this is going to be the start of something great.

9 years later

CPOV

I press the intercom and ask Andrea what time my next meeting is. I really need a break from these walls and a fresh coffee.

"Mr. Grey I was just getting ready to buzz you. Mr. Harris' PA just called and he has to cancel—he said his soon to be ex wife and her lawyer just showed up unexpectedly in his office…"

"OK. Thanks Andrea."

What a dumbass -cheating on his wife —I hope she cleans him out in the divorce.

Before anyone else can put a claim in on my newly found free sixty minutes, I walk out and tell Andrea I will be back in a little while, and I don't need Taylor or anybody else to come with me—he has better things to do than escort me to the coffee shop.

I need to give that man a raise for everything he does for us anyway.

I step in my private elevator, head down to the lobby and walk down the street to this little coffee shop—their pastries are delicious and the one sweet vice I allow myself.

A few minutes later I walk in the front door and am pleased to see they aren't busy, and order a latte and one of their delicious cinnamon-apple muffins.

I walk over and sit down at one of the tables by the window while I wait for my order, and I over hear the young lady who was behind me in line tell the cashier that she forgot her wallet and can't pay for her order.

I walk up and hand the cashier a $20 bill and tell her to keep the change. The young lady thanks me, and asks me where I work so she can pay me back, but I smile and tell her "Don't worry about it—just pay it forward."

The cashier calls my name and I take my order and resume my place by the window, and as I take the first bite of the apple-cinnamon goodness, Taylor comes rushing in "Mr. Grey Code Blue! We have to leave now!"

It takes a minute for me to comprehend what he just said, but then it sinks in

CODE BLUE! SHIT! 2 WEEKS EARLY!

Code blue is a term we came up with that means Ana has gone into labor—blue for a boy and pink for a girl. We found out a few months ago that we are having a boy, so code blue means my son is on his way!

I stuff the rest of my muffin in my mouth, take a gulp of my latte and run out the door with Taylor. We climb in the SUV and take off, and I get the "Don't leave the building without me again" lecture from Taylor. Every time I get the lecture I have to put $100 in his daughter's college education fund…so far there is enough in there to pay for Harvard twice…

We pull up to emergency and I jump out before the SUV comes to a complete stop and run in shouting "Ana Grey! Ana Grey! Where is Ana Grey?"

Just then my mom comes out, telling me to calm down and be quiet.

"Christian, Ana is fine. Her water broke and she is already having strong contractions, so they have her in delivery. It has all happened pretty fast, so if you want to see your son born, you need to come with me so you can change into scrubs and I will take you to her, but you need to calm down first."

I take a deep breath and follow my mom to a room where I can change, and then she escorts me to Ana.

I walk into the room and I see Ana lying in the bed and she is screaming through another contraction

"Ana baby! Are you OK? Are you in any pain?" I stupidly ask.

I rush over and grab her hand, telling her she is doing great, and to breathe in and out, in and out, in and out.

When the pain passes, she glares at me, telling me that my massive dick is never getting close to her hoo-ha again, which makes everyone in the delivery room laugh.

She has another strong contraction, gripping me so hard that I think she broke every bone in my hand, and I wince in pain.

Suck it up Grey—there is no way you could handle pushing out a watermelon….

Dr. Green tells her it's time to push hard, and a few minutes later I hear the most incredible sound in the world…my son screaming.

Dr. Greene tells me to cut the umbilical cord, and after wrapping him in a blanket they set him on Ana's chest and she has tears running down her face as she looks at him.

Ana and my son—the most beautiful sight in the world. I kiss her forehead, and we both whisper "Welcome to the world, Theodore Raymond Grey."

Epilogue

We brought Teddy home last week and Ana and I have been taking turns getting up with him every few hours so the other one can get a little sleep.

Right now it's my turn to get up, so I am sitting in the rocking chair feeding him while Ana sleeps. I look down at this beautiful, innocent creature and my heart explodes with love and pride. He is my mini-me all the way around with his head full of copper hair, but he does have Ana's cute little button nose. His eyes are a deep shade of blue, but my mom said they will change as he gets older.

As I sit here holding him, my mind wanders back 9 years to when I went to work at Elena's house.

A few days after I went home from the hospital, my mom and dad sat me down and asked if I remembered anything about that day, especially the part about going down into the basement. At first I told them no, but when my dad asked be about a hidden door in the back of the basement, things slowly started coming back to me like, kind of like focusing a camera. When the image of the torture chamber was clear, my heart started racing and I felt the blood drain from my face.

I looked at my dad, unable to speak for a minute when he asked me what I remembered.

"Uh…Dad…um….Mrs. Lincoln slapped me after I made a sarcastic remark to her, but then she, uh…grabbed me and kissed me and, uh, slid her hand down my pants and started, you know, um…squeezing me.."

I could see my mom and dad tense up when they heard this, and then my dad asked "What else did she do, son?"

I cleared my throat because I was embarrassed to talk about it with my mom in the room, but I continued "She took me down to the basement to show me something, and stopped in front of a door in the back of the basement. She told me she could teach me—teach me control, how to be a man, uh…how to, um, you know, pleasure a woman, things like that. She said she would reward me for good behavior, but punish me for bad behavior. She asked me if I wanted to be her student, to submit and learn from her, and then opened the door. When I saw the room, I freaked out and turned away and started to run up the stairs to get out of there, but I tripped on the first step. The next thing I remember is waking up in the hospital bed."

My Dad clenched his jaw and my mom had tears running down her face. After a few minutes my dad began speaking again

"Christian, after the paramedics got you out of the basement and loaded you into the ambulance, one of the firemen went back down into the basement to get the rest of their equipment. He heard a noise coming from the back of the basement, and when he walked over, he heard Mrs. Lincoln talking to someone. She obviously didn't know he was there, so he crept closer and saw her standing in the torture chamber talking but didn't see who she was talking to. He stepped back and hid when she turned and walked out and closed the door and walked back up stairs. The door didn't latch and it popped open a little and he heard whimpering noises coming from inside the room. He opened the door and walked back in and heard the whimpering coming from a closet in the back of the room. When he opened the closet, he found a young boy locked inside a cage, crying. He called out on the radio for another EMT and policeman to come down to the basement, and when they got the boy out of the cage, they saw that he had welts and bruises all over his body. Another ambulance was called and he was taken to the hospital, and Mrs. Lincoln was arrested and taken into custody.

She is currently in jail and was denied bail, and the FBI has been brought in to investigate. I have heard rumors they have found evidence of pedophilia, child trafficking, and prostitution among other things. She will probably be spending the rest of her life in prison from what I was told."

I look down at my son and shudder to think about anyone hurting him…I would kill anyone who dared harm one hair on his head.

8 months later Elena Lincoln was found guilty on numerous counts of pedophilia, child trafficking, blackmail, prostitution and several other felonies and was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. The FBI found hundreds of pictures and videos of her with underage boys, compromising photos of prominent local and statewide politicians, judges, police captains, doctors, lawyers and a few DAs, which I am sure she used for blackmail purposes, and her address book of clients which rivaled Ghislaine Maxwell's, and there was also a detailed ledger of each and every transaction.

As soon as word got out in prison what she was, her time as a resident of the Washington State Department of Corrections became miserable and was cut very short. 6 months after she arrived, after numerous beatings and "accidents" she slipped in the showers and hit her head on the hard floor. She also must have been brushing her teeth in the shower because when she fell she landed on her sharpened toothbrush that was found jammed into her throat, causing her to bleed out. The investigation was quick and they determined that it was an accident and the case was closed. She was cremated and buried in the prison cemetery as nobody came forward and claimed her body. Her husband filed for divorce as soon as she was arrested and washed his hands of her—he claimed to have no knowledge of his wife's torture chamber in the basement of his home as he never went down there…

I get a chill thinking of it all, so I choose put it out of my mind and think about happier things—Ana.

The weekend after I got out of the hospital we had our first official date. I was feeling better, but my parents preferred us to stay at home instead of me driving so soon after my head injury, and they promised that they and Mia would be gone all night so Ana and I could have the house to ourselves, until midnight.

I ordered pizza and we did watch scary movies all night as she suggested when she was in my hospital room. We sat together on the couch, but as the night progressed, and the movies got scarier, Ana kept scootching closer and closer to me until she was almost on my lap. I can still remember how her hair smelled—vanilla and apples—as I nuzzled her ear and stole a kiss. I swear there were fireworks and a marching band going off as we shared our first kiss, and it seemed to last forever. It was the first of many kisses that night, and that night I officially asked her to be my girlfriend she happily accepted. The next day, everyone at school knew we were together, and we were inseparable after that.

We went to our senior prom a few months later, sneaking out after a few hours to spend the night at The Woodmark Hotel in Bellevue. I had reserved a suite for us, and it was a night neither of us will ever forget. I had gone over their earlier in the day and decorated the room with rose petals and candles, and even sneaked a bottle of champagne out of my parents collection for us. I made arrangements with one of the bellhops to have the champagne on ice and to light the candles for us just before we arrived to make sure the atmosphere was perfect. Ana had no idea about the candles and champagne—she just thought I had reserved a single room and not the suite, so the look of shock on her face when I carried her over the threshold to the room was priceless. We toasted each other with champagne, shared a bowl of strawberries, laughed and talked for a while, and finally made love for the first time. Ana gave me her virginity that night, and I swear I saw the same fireworks from our first kiss when we both came together.

We graduated in May, and left for college that July. I had been accepted at Harvard already so I was set, and Ana had already been accepted at Boston College, which was 5 miles from Harvard, so we were able to rent a little apartment off campus and live together all 4 years.

BCU had one of the best Finance programs in the country, so with her degree in Finance and mine in Business and Marketing, we had the tools to start our own company when we graduated.

As promised, my parents gave me access to my trust fund, and GEH was born. We started out small, but with sound advice from my dad and grandfather, we were able to buy our first company and make a nice profit within the first 3 months, and after that, GEH took off, and hasn't slowed down since.

We got married the year after we graduated, on the 5th anniversary of our first date. Mom and Mia wanted the wedding of the century, but Ana and I wanted a small, intimate wedding with family and a few close friends, so that's what we had. My mom was thrilled to have it in their backyard, so we got married as the sun was setting on the water.

We were still building GEH as it was basically still in its infancy, so we only took a week off for the wedding and honeymoon, promising ourselves that we would take much a longer honeymoon when GEH was more established, and also before we started a family.

We made our first 100 million by our 2nd year, and hit the 500 million mark at the end of our 3rd year, and decided to start a family now that we know GEH is successful and stable.

Ana is, and still will be CFO, but we knew we had to hire a COO to take some of the pressure and responsibilities off Ana as we have both been filling the shoes of a COO, so we put out the feelers a few months ago and got quite a few resumes. We had it narrowed down to the top 3, and surprisingly we decided on one of our former high school classmates, Ros Bailey after the second round of interviews.

She was at the top of our high school class, and went to Princeton on a full scholarship and graduated in 3 years. She started with a large M&A company on the east coast right after graduation and was still there, but just wasn't happy anymore. She said she wanted to come back to Seattle, where she grew up, and her family still is, and was excited when she heard we were looking for a COO.

She submitted her resume thru the standard channels, not wanting preferential treatment or consideration because we were all classmates, and after narrowing it down to the top 3 and interviewing them again, Ana and I both felt comfortable with Ros and were impressed with her success and accomplishments at her current employer. We offered her the position of COO, and she didn't hesitate to take it. She moved to Seattle a month later with her girlfriend and has been doing an excellent job for GEH since

When GEH started taking off, Ana and I had to start hiring staff because we couldn't do it all anymore. With us being from Seattle, and GEH being a local company, we wanted to hire as much from the local talent pool as possible. I remembered the guy who was the computer IT genius in high school and found out that he went to MIT, so I tracked him down and offered him a position. He was willing to sign on with our new company, so Brad Welch became my head of IT. We posted several job openings and filled 3 of them with alumni from Hillside—Andrea Parker was hired as our PA, Gia Matteo was hired as our Head of HR, and Jason Taylor, who was several years ahead of us in school, was hired as our head of security. He had done 8 years in the Army and had just returned from Afghanistan and was looking to stay in Seattle where his wife Gail and daughter Sophie were living while he was overseas.

Shortly after Ros started, I returned home from a 3 day trip to New York to find our apartment filled with candles, champagne chilling in a bucket and rose petals leading to our bedroom.

I tossed my jacket on the chair, dropped my briefcase and followed the rose petals, finding my beautiful wife sitting on the bed in a sexy teddy with a grin on her face and a small package on the bed next to her.

I hurried to the bed and sat down next to her, kissing her as if I hadn't seen her for 3 days and asked her what was going on.

She handed me the box and told me it was a surprise but wouldn't say anything else.

I tore the box open and inside was a tiny shirt that read "Future CEO of GEH" and a small picture underneath.

It took a minute to register that it was a sonogram, but when it did I felt my heart burst and I reached over and hugged her, and we both started laughing and crying, saying "We're having a baby! We're gonna be parents!" over and over.

My son finishes eating so I gently turn him over on my leg to wind him, and after a few pats he lets one loose that rivals Elliot and makes me proud.

I walk around the room with him, bouncing him for a few minutes to settle him, and when he falls asleep again, I put him back in his bassinet next to the bed. I tuck him in, bend over kiss his head, and crawl back into bed, pulling Ana close to me, kissing her shoulder, and drift off into a peaceful slumber.

Life could not be more perfect.

The End.
