(Hello! Everyone! I'm back after…3 years and have overcome my writer's block….sort of..This story has always been on the back of my mind but I always second guess myself thinking if it was good or not. But after hearing some feedback I'll try and post as many chapters as I can...and hopefully not in a few months. Also I noticed that looking back there were a lot of spelling errors they uh...weren't there before. I always double check to make sure that there weren't that many but it seems like they just come out of nowhere so if you do see them I'm sorry they just happen. I will go back and fix them in the future but for now chapters must be made! Also giving a big thanks to Conner Thomas for giving me some ideas for some skills. Mostly for Eddy and Ed. Now on to the chapter. Disclaimer, I do not own One piece or Ed Edd n Eddy, I'm just a humble fan.)
On top of the hill Eddy, Double D and Zoro kept their eyes on their ship as well as Ed and Luffy who were still sleeping. Zoro turned to Double D who apparently heard their conversation.
"Hold on...you heard them speak from here? I guess that must be your fruit." Said Zoro to which Double D nodded then turned his attention back to the ship.
"Indeed. It's thanks to that fruit that my senses have sharpened...however I uh...never been in a serious fight.." Double D admitted to which Zoro was a bit surprised but given how Double D acted he understood.
Back down on the shore Jango stretched out his arms and looks towards the ship
"Come down! Nyaban Brothers!" He yelled. On the ship there are five figures on the ship.
"Hey! The captain is calling us!" a high pitch like voice said
"What? They haven't gone to the village yet? Why are they still here?" Again said the goofy voice.
"Hey look! Everyone has been defeated!" said the high pitch voice
"Hello Nyaban brothers." he said as they dropped in front of him.
One of them looks to be a fairly skinny man wearing a navy blue shirt, with light gray buttons and a magenta bow tie. He also had light-blue shorts, brown shoes and white socks that stick out of them. He is also seen having dark brown gloves, with claws growing out at the end. His name is Sham
The other is an overweight man who isn't wearing a shirt but His pants are striped black and white, with a yellow sash, and also wears dark brown shoes. He wears a cape on his back, that is striped light and dark-purple, with a white fluffy brim. He also wears a shoulder pad on his left arm, and pale blue gloves with claws at the end just like Sham. His name is Buchi
"You called for us captain?" Said Sham
"What's up?" Said Buchi back on top of the shore Eddy, Double D, Nami and Usopp had shocked expressions at the figures.
"What are they?" Nami asked with a confused look while Usopp sported a surprised look
"Amazing, they just jumped from that height, they really are like cats." He replied, however Both Zoro and Double D looked very alert from there presence, strangely even Double D was oddly on guard the most
"Aww calm down, they are just a bunch of weird cosplayers or something." Eddy scoffed before moving to Usopp's side "How's it hanging longnose, you head still there?" Eddy asked to which Usopp turned and nod to him
"I'm just fine, but it looks like those two are coming…just them?" Usopp noted and indeed one the brothers begin to walk over to the cliff where Zoro and Double are.
"Hmmm…hey sockhead.." Zoro asked to which Double D gave him a slightly annoyed look
"I don't mind the nickname but please leave it to Eddy just saying that…"He replied but was brushed off.
"Is it me or is that guy scared to death down there?" Zoro asked to which Double D did take a second glance at the man in question and indeed he had a terrified look as he kept going up the hill.
"I-I can't believe I have to do this…I-I d-don't want to die…that man especially looks scary with his swords.." Sham replied, referring to Zoro, with a heavy gulp he then breaks into a full sprint "I'm just gonna get this over with! I'm gonna scratch your eyes out!" He screamed as he ran towards Double D and Zoro. Both the pair were shocked that he was coming at them at full speed. While Zoro looked annoyed, Double D on the other hand…was pondering.
"He thinks he can scratch me?" Zora replies as he unsheathes just one of his swords "I'll cut your head off if you don't stop fool!" Zoro shouted, meanwhile Double D was standing behind him and just for a moment, he began to think.
"Curious…he means to come at us alone…but why is his partner just standing there…not only that…why are they afraid? They easily jumped off the ship with little to no effort…it just doesn't.." Double D thought then his nose suddenly began to twitch which snapped him out of his train of thought. He was puzzled on why it twitched until he got a scent of something…it was an odd smell, smelled that was…dishonest. With his eyes widen Double D quickly out to Zoro
"Zoro he's lying! He means to actually strike you!" Double D cried to which Zoro glanced back for a moment
"What!" Zoro replied but Sham already sported a sly grin as he gotten close already
"Whoops, looks like I've been found out already too bad~!" said Sham as he then attempted to swipe at Zoro with his claws, however thanks to Double D's warning he managed to block the oncoming attack.
"Purr…seems like I was both sloppy and underestimated. Your friend has good eyes." Sham replied referring to Double D as he hopped away from Zoro "But you still fell for it for a moment and a moment was all I needed.
"So he wasn't really a coward at all!" Zoro noted, but as he was going to continue, Double D spoke behind him
"My word! He stole your sword's Zoro!" Double D pointed out to which Zoro did reach down and noticed that his swords was indeed stolen as Sham had two of his swords behind his bag.
"Hmph it seems you have a bit of talent but you shouldn't take Sham Meowban of the black cat lightly. Somehow your pretty swords ended up with me." Sham taunted, leaving Zoro to just glare back at him
"Damn he took my swords…" Zoro muttered, but Double D was strangely enough just standing there. Zoro didn't notice since he was too focused on Sham but Double D felt…scared, even though he psyche himself up for this fight, in the back of his mind he did not want to participate or harm anyone.
"Dear me…am I getting fearful already…come on Eddward, now's not the time to be fearful" Double thought but felt like he couldn't get a move in. Meanwhile Sham then took two of Zoro's swords before tossing them down the hill, which enrages Zoro even more.
"There, now that's outta the way we can.." Sham spoke but before he could speak Zoro quickly dashed towards him
"Swords that don't belong to you, should be treated with more respect!" Zoro shouted as he easily slashed right though Sham, shocking everyone from his movement
"Whoa mosshead is that strong huh?" Eddy noted, but strangely enough Jango and Buchi didn't look too concerned at all, which Double D noticed first. Back with Zoro after he slashed Sham he quickly attempted to run for his swords until Double D's voice spoke up again.
"He's not defeated! Watch out Zoro!" Double D cried out again, but he was too late as Sham mange to a hold of Zoro's arms apart
"Looks like that cat was out of the bag, can't believe my tricks were caught twice. Oh well." Sham noted.
"I see…he was lean under that large shirt making it look like he was slashed!" Double D surmised. Sham then look back down hill were Buchi and Jango was and called out to Buchi
"C'mon Buchi, Have a go at this now!" Sham called out spurring Buchi into action "Aye-Aye sham!" Buchi replied as Sham slammed Zoro on the ground and held him in place, meanwhile Double D was still just standing behind them, not moving an inch at all. Still having the thoughts of fighting or not. So far all he's been doing is noticing their moments and calling out their movements.
As Buchi approached he then jumped very high in the air despite his weight. "Cat strike: Cat-a-pult…" He shouted while in the Air, Double D looked up at him, knowing full well what would happen when he came down.
"Come Eddward…what should I say…or heavens what should I do…" "Hey shockhead! Quit standing there and do something already!" Eddy shouted behind him, slightly shocking both Nami and Usopp from his sudden outburst while also snapping Double D out his train of thought, he briefly looked at Eddy then back to Zoro and Sham, before smacking his head with his hands, getting psyched up again.
"Eddy's correct! Courage Eddward I must have courage!" Double D shouted before charging towards Sham, who was too focused on holding Zoro down.
"Your heads are going to split like a melon once he-" "Unhand him you villain!" Sham looked at the voice that called out to him, only to be meant with a kick straight to his jaw, knocking him off of Zoro, to which he quickly rolled out of the way as Buchi landed. "Catastrophe!" Buchi landed with a loud crash with his foot causing the ground to split.
A shocked Usopp looked at the split ground "Just how strong is he to crack the ground like that, If Double D didn't warn Zoro…" Usopp noted as he made an audible gulp just from the imagery alone, meanwhile Eddy sported a grin "But he did and showed his backbone nice one sockhead! Did you see him, Ed? Ed?" he looked back but quickly remembered that the big Ed is asleep "Oh right…I should do something about that huh…"
Back at the hill Sham backed away from the pair as Buchi also joined him "Are you ok bro?" Buchi asked Sham to which Sham nursed his jaw. "I'm ok…I thought the kid was just a spectator but not. my bad my bad." Sham replied as he stood back up and assumed a stance with Buchi "We won't let them escape again!" "That's right!"
Zoro, now getting up and standing next to Double D, held his sword firm. "Thanks for that, leave the rest to me for now. I'll have to get my swords back through them." He replied which left Double D dumbfounded.
"Are you mad? You mean to take those two by yourself! I can fight n-now." Edd replied but Zoro kept his eyes on the Nyaban brothers "You good guy and I know you have devil fruit power, but this is your first real fight isn't it?" Zoro asked to which Double D stayed silent at the question "Just watch me, you'll have your moment…that being said…I'm not good at one sword style.." "They why…wait..now that I think about it, Why do you carry three swords? Double D replied but before he got an answer the Nyan brothers changed towards Zoro.
"Here we go Buchi!" "Aye Sham!" "Pussy Willow March!" Said the brothers as they then began to furiously swipe and claw a Zoro who was quickly parrying and blocking each of their attacks. Double D did quickly jump back as they attacked Zoro but he was amazed at his skill, even though he said he wasn't good with one sword, he's doing well at holding his own. Back up top of the hill with the other group. Nami noticed that Zoro was slowly losing ground.
"Darn! Zoro can't keep this up forever! Hey are you two gonna do something!" Nami asked both Eddy and Usopp, to which Usopp was already loading his string shot. "You're right, it can't hold on to their combination assault for long. I'll provide long range support." Usopp replied with Eddy alongside with him "me too gonna give him one right between the eyes." Eddy replied as he pointed his finger like a gun towards the Nyan brothers, but as the pair lined up for a shot, Double D's ear twitches as he hears the string of Usopp's slingshot pull back, he turned around to see both of them lining up a shot, realizing what they are doing Double D call out to them.
"Gentlemen stop! Don't shoot!" He cried out, Stopping Eddy but Usopp already fired his slingshot "Take this Lead Star!" Usopp shouted as he sent the lead ball flying, Zooming past Double D and to the Nyan Brothers, but suddenly Zoro jumped in the path of the lead bullet, taking the hit, causing him to stagger "What?! Zoro, why would you…" "An opening!" Both brothers jumped at the opportunity and striked Zoro down with their claws, knocking him to the ground with a bloody claw scar on his chest.
"What the hell Usopp! Are you sure you didn't hit your head, mosshead is our friend!" Eddy yelled at him, but Usopp was still dumbfounded. "No…it's like he wanted to get hit on purpose." Usopped replied, but Eddy was still confused, until Nami spoke up "He's right, He saved us. If you landed that, they would have turned on us instead." Nami explained, which Eddy now understood "Still I would have gotten your back…no instead of just me…that idiot…" Eddy then looked further down at the hill, where both Ed and Luffy are still sleeping soundly. "That's it! That lummox has been out for a long time! I'm going down there! You both stay here…huh?" Eddy realized that Nami wasn't there anymore before down at the hill to see her run down at a fast pace "I'm going to get his swords! Usopp is in no shape to get them himself!" Nami yelled, but Eddy wasn't having that "Oh no you don't! I've been sitting on the spector seat long enough!" Eddy shouted back before running down with her.
Meanwhile back at the fight, Buchi then lunges down at the injured Zoro "Your mine now!" He yelled and as he swiped his claw, the attack was suddenly halted as it was blocked by Double D, who used his wrist to block Buchi's swipe "My apologies, but I shall hold you off!" Double D…sounded brave but his words were shaky, but it was surprising that Buchi's attack and for his size, was easily stopped by Double D. What was even more surprising was the Double D's pupils were slit and focused.
"Stubborn brat! Get out of the way!" Buchi yelled and unleashed his march attack to Double D, however instead of parrying the attack like before, he was skillfully dodging each strike which was frustrating Buchi even more. "Grrr hold still you mutt!" He shouted. In Double D's eyes, strangely enough, his attacks seemed like they were moving in slow motion, each attack he just moved to the side as he kept swinging, his senses felt sharper than before, he pondered if this is the effect of the Zoan fruit kicking in? He felt like he could process information faster now that things are moving slowly in his eyes. He looked back at Zoro, Sham was sneaking behind him about to pounce, he quickly glanced at Buchi who was now attempting to swipe at his face with his. With now a plan in motion, Double D moved his head to the side, barely avoiding the claw swipe but then grabbed Buchi's wrist with his right hand and pulls him towards him, Double D then kicked Buchi's left leg, throwing him off balance, after which Double D quickly used both his weight the moment of his claw attack to take him over his shoulder "Here goes Lunar Tide Turner!" Double D cried out as he performed a shoulder throw so powerful he manage to toss Buchi into Sham who was about to leap at Zoro, Sham looked up only to the the huge body of Buchi crash into him and was sent flying around with him into the cliff wall cause a huge impact and a dust cloud.
Double D looked at the sight and let out a deep breath calming down after all of that adrenaline he gained from that. Zoro on the other hand stood up and just stared at Double D, who he thought was much of a fighter at all, not calling him weak, he just didn't expect him to do that.
"That was pretty good Double D." Zoro commented, snapping Double D out of his trance before looking at the swordsmen. "Oh uh…it was nothing really, I simply just used his weight and moment against him and uh…factor in the right amount of force to let go white adding in my or mass and force into.." "Yeah I get it…you can stop.." Zoro quickly cut Double D off from his rambling but then noticed his eyes "Hey. What's up with your eyes?" Zoro pointed out and as he asked, Double D blinked and they returned to normal "Pardon?" He replied and upon seeing them returned to normal, Zoro decided to leave it at the "Nevermind" Zoro then turned around as he heard the shuffling of rocked and see that an upside down Buchi roll off the wall while a Sham who was flat against the wall, pushed himself off, though they indeed took a large amount of damage from that attack, mainly Sham "Aye…sorry bro, the brat flip my wisker…" "meoww-ow…don't worry, they won't do that again." The pair glaring at Zoro and Double D "Well aren't they sturdy." Zoro noted "Err…I-Indeed b-but surely we can best them again." Double D replied, Zoro still looked worn out as he looked at the two "I wish I could agree…if only I had both my swords."
Meanwhile back further down the cliff Nami and Eddy were running down the cliff with Nami ahead of Eddy. "I'll wake the idiots! Make for the swords!" Eddy shouted, but Nami was already aware of what to do and sees the blades ahead of her. "If I can just get them to him." She says as he quickly tries to reach them, however she overhead Eddy's voice "Nami Look out!" Eddy cried out but it was too late as Jango, who was standing there the whole time slashed Nami's shoulder with his ring which is also a sharp weapon, causing her to tumble past him in the group. Eddy who is now in front of him grit his teeth in anger and points his finger towards and gets ready to charge a shot, however Jango point his weapon towards Nami
"Sorry no swords for you! You thought I was just an innocent hypnotist didn't you. By the way, if you so much as twitch I make more cuts out of her." Jango stated cause Eddy to grind his teeth even harder "Why you rat…little." Eddy Isn't a fool, while he could get a shot off, he may still have time to harm Nami, maybe if he could think of something to make that's helpful. As Eddy was staring down Jango, he noticed Jango's sudden change as Jango looked absolutely petrified and starts to tremble, Eddy was confused and at first he thought that he was all talk and got lucky until Jango finally spoke
"Ah…ahhh..oh uh sir..we hit a few snags!" Jango replied in a fearful turn. On the cliffs mid section were Double D, Zoro and the Nyan Brothers were fighting. The pair noticed the brothers begin to tremble as well which confused the two as well. The crewmates who were blown away by Luffy and Ed were also awake but now in fear as well.
"C-ca-captain Kuro…" "He's gonna kill us.." "Captain!" they cried out, now causing everyone to turn up at the top of the hill to see a familiar butler. Usopp, recognizing the man, gave a worried look towards him "Great…what a time for him to show up!" Usopp thought.
With a menacing and furious look, Kuro adjusted his glasses while looking down the hill. "It's long past dawn but…you seem to be having trouble following the plan.." Kuro calmly muttered before his face turned into fury "What in neptune's name is going on here?!" Kuro shouted. With Usopp, Zoro, Nami and the Eds (minus Ed) Looking up at the cunning pirate.
(And that's a wrap, the big bad guy has made his appearance while the heavy hitters are sound asleep. I truly do apologize for the long long wait for a new chapter. Things have been rough for me these past few years but I'm back now. Chapters may still be a bit away but hey, I'll try and make more as I go. Side note to make. I may have been a bit gungho on the shipping of the Eds with some characters and I will make this clear. I won't be pairing them with any of the main cast or even some side ones, I might have to make up some OC's in the future, hell I'll even take requests in the future as well. Oh one last thing to note, I appreciate and love the fruit suggestions for the Eds and they are really good ideas especially for Double D…but…I wanna try and be different and stick with what I got.
