The rest of the day was uneventful. Class C ran through their exercises and learned quickly. Half of the class could break down and check each of their parts of their weapons before putting it back together. It was slow but steady. He would not rush them. Rushing them would lead to mistakes and mistakes led to death.
Hand to hand combat was just as slow as weapons training. Movements were checked, marked, and repeated if correct. If they weren't correct they were corrected by himself of Alex. On the sidelines Yamada was watching them with uncertain eyes. The teachers were still uncertain about the program. Izuku was almost completely sure they expected him to snap and attack one of the kids. Which was fair. He had shot All Might without any remorse but these were kids.
By the time classes finished for the day Izuku was exhausted. Mentally exhausted and wanted to do nothing more than sleep. Heading home wasn't exactly on top of his list. Instead he went to the Support Course Lab. Power Loader allowed him to come and go as he pleased as long as he kept the explosions to a minimum.
Just before he reached the door he heard an explosion. It blew the door off of the hinges nearly hitting him in the face. Only his reflexes allowed him to avoid it. Luka yipped angrily at it not approving of the door almost hitting him. He laid a gentle hand on his partner's head calming Luka.
Together they entered the Support Lab and found a pink haired girl arguing with Power Loader. By the soot that stained her uniform he had to guess that it was her that caused the explosion. A faint smile twitched at his lips as he listened with half an ear. It would seem that was her fourth explosion in the last twenty minutes.
Silently he slipped into the classroom unnoticed by the two. Heavy on the air was the scent of burnt plastic. He could practically taste the smoke with it. For a normal teenager they might have gagged or made a noise of complaint. He ignored it. The experiment seemed to be a sort of glove that he hadn't seen before. Something for one of the upper year Hero Course students? It would make sense. Support Course was allowed to modify and make new equipment up to C level equipment without special permission. C level projects were used for students, internships, and just out of school sidekicks.
Izuku leaned over the table to get a good look at the gloves. It had simple mechanics. From what he could see it was meant as some sort of control for a quirk. Or maybe a brace that would release energy when the user wished. A good concept in theory but difficult in practice.
He hummed in thought as he walked around in examining it without touching the gloves. One part of the wires were burned more than the rest. That must be the ignition point and where things had gone wrong. Likely they were crossed at the wrong spot. It was a fairly easy fix once the wires themselves were replaced.
As he was considering this he felt Luka brush up against his left leg. Someone was coming up on that side.
"Do you like my baby?" Questioned someone from his left.
It was the pink haired girl. Her bright yellow-green eyes stared at her work before looking back at him. They showed her excitement and he didn't sense any hostility from her.
Power Loader snapped, "One more explosion, Hatsume and I'm kicking you out for the evening. And Midoriya? I'm not in the mood. One explosion from you and you're out too."
Who him?
"Don't give me that look!" Cried Power Loader, "You are as bad as she is! One more explosion and you're out!"
With that Power Loader went to his desk and flopped into his chair. He let his head thump against the desk. Well that was dramatic. What was his problem? It was only the second day of classes.
The girl poked him in the side and asked again, "Well do you?"
"Huh?" He questioned dumbly.
"My baby," she waved towards the invention, "What do you think?"
Oh he understood now. He got a feral grin as they began to discuss the invention.

Naomasa frowned as he entered the school. He had hoped to take his nephew out for dinner to get to know him but waiting at the Bakugos was getting him nowhere. Nezu had said Izuku hadn't left yet but school had ended hours ago. What in the world was he still doing here?
Turning the corner he entered the Support Wing where Nezu said Izuku was. For a moment he stared at a broken door that lay against one wall. Then at the door leaning again the wall. Only for an explosion to happen. It wasn't big but it did rattle the floor and make Naomasa's ear ring.
What the fuck? He regretted entering this school it was always chaotic even on normal days.
Before he could react however there was an annoyed shout, "That's it! I warned you two! OUT! Go home!"
Two teenagers and a large dog were shoved from the room. The door was slammed behind the poor teacher. For their parts the teenagers did not look repentant at all. They were covered in soot and grinning from ear to ear. A happy light in Izuku's eyes made Naomasa's heart clench. It was like he was the fifteen years old he was supposed to be. Not the beaten down soldier that was shown most of the time.
When the green eyes fell upon him though Izuku froze. There was a flicker of uncertainty in his face. He looked between Izuku and the girl next to him. The girl seemed obvious as she lifted her bag onto her shoulder.
"See you tomorrow Green Bean," she declared happily, "If you have time let's make more babies tomorrow."
Naomasa choked. What?! They were teenagers!
At his outraged look Izuku answered with a slightly guilty look overcoming his happiness, "She means inventions. That's what she calls them."
Comprehension dawned on Naomasa. That made a lot more sense. There was no way a teacher would allow it to happen in one of their classrooms. Especially such an unpredictable room like Support Labs.
In response Naomasa gave him a smile and said, "Okay, that makes me feel better. I came to see if you wanted to grab some dinner. I wanted to get to know you better."
Izuku's guilty look turned into a confused one as he asked, "Why?"
Naomasa felt a pang of hurt as he answered, "You're my family. The only family outside of my job that I have left. I want to know you and be there for you as much as I can."
A spark of hope flashed through the green eyes and slowly Izuku nodded as he said, "Okay. Dinner."
Relief flooded him. Good it was a start.
