Author's Note: Hello and welcome back to The Church Girl! My name is Bambi and I'm so happy that you're here. Thank you to all of you who read chapter six. I say this every author's note but I greatly appreciate all the reading, favoriting, and alerts. It really makes me feel good to know that people are reading my work. Also, I am so sorry for the late upload this past week. Friday was pretty busy for me. It kind of slipped my brain. As always, I do not/ have not/ probably, nor will I ever own the rights to The Breakfast. They belong to the estate of John Hughes and NBC Universal. Now, onto chapter seven.

CH. 7 Ganja

John opens his bag and begins passing out joints. He passes one to Claire, one to Brian, he tells Allison she can share his, Andrew gets one, and lastly Tabi, who just stares at it.

"You gonna take it?" John asks.

Tabi looks up at him and shakes her head, "I can't. My parents would be upset with me." She pushes the joint back towards John.

"So?" John shrugs.

"I don't want them upset with me. Besides, I've never smoked before. Smoking is bad." Tabi admits.

John eyes her with a pitied expression. You poor thing. Look, this'll help ya relax. Trust me you need that. You're one of the most high-strung people I've ever met." He chastises.

"I'm not high strung!" Tabi exclaims.

"Really? Cause all I've heard you do is talk about your parents, your church, your church choir, your congregation, and your punishment. You're trying way too hard to get to heaven. Just hit this and go sit down." John suggested.

Did she really talk about all that stuff all the time? The church is all she knows. She can't help it. However, it would be nice to relax. Tabi looks over at Brian and Claire who are laughing up a storm. They do look like they're having fun.

"Okay." Tabi finally agrees.

"Thatta girl. Want me to show you how to smoke?" He asks, Tabi nods in response.

"Alright so put this halfway in your mouth." John instructs.

Tabi grabs the joint between her fingers and does what John says. "I'm gonna light, it's gonna feel a little warm. That's how it's supposed to be." he assured her before lighting the joint.

Tabi watches the bottom piece spark and begin to burn. "Careful. That shit can and will burn you. Alright now breathe in when you feel smoke." John warned.

Tabi nods as a sudden sensation takes over her mouth. It was warm and smoky. Kind of like a barbeque. She inhales but immediately starts coughing. John plucks the joint before it can fall.

"And that's how you smoke. Any questions?" John asks.

"You do this all the time?" Tabi questions.

"Pretty much. Trust me, you'll get used to it." He promises before walking away.

Tabi takes the joint not really wanting to hit anymore. She was starting to feel funny. She sees Allison, Andrew, and Brian off to the side talking.

"What's going on?" She asks them as she takes a seat next to Brian.

"Allison stole my wallet." Brian accused.

"Brian." Tabi gasped.

"What? She did!" He proclaimed.

"Did she take anything?" Tabi wonders.

"Nothing to take but two bucks and a beaver shot." Allison rolled her eyes.

Tabi's eyebrow raised curiously. "A what? You have a picture of a beaver in your wallet?" Tabi asks as Brian's face turns rosy. Meanwhile, Allison and Andy were chuckling.

"What? What's so funny?" Tabi questions.

"You don't know what a beaver is?" Allison finally stops laughing to ask.

"It's an animal." Tabi replied as if it was obvious.

"Yeah, but it's also a-" Allison is cut off by Brian.

"Don't tell her." He begged.

Allison shakes her head before looking at Tabi, "It's another word for vagina." Allison finally says.

"Gee thanks, Allison." Brian snipped.

Tabi turns to him in disgust, "You really have THAT in your wallet?" She asks, hoping its a joke.

"Uh... um... Yeah." Brian stammers.

"Is that all you think about? Is that all you want from me?" Tabi accused.

"What? No! Tabi, I like you." Brian promises.

"If you really liked me, you wouldn't have that picture and you wouldn't have lied about doing it." She replies feeling so low.

This isn't who she thought he was. She thought he was sweet and smart. It's why she liked him in the first place. Maybe she doesn't know him as well as she thought.

"What are you saying?" Brian asks.

"Maybe we don't need to hangout." Tabi decides before leaving the group.

Tears start to well up in her eyes as she retreats to shelves off to the side. She sits down between them and brings her legs up to her chest. It was for the best. Now she doesn't have to worry about her parents' questions or anything else. Things can go back to normal. After a few moments by herself, a figure blocks the light above Tabi.

"Please go away." She whimpers softly until she notices the ribbed material of a black sweater and a long black skirt. "Allison?" Tabi called out to her.

Allison jumped, clutching her bag. She's visibly upset as she turns to Tabi.

"What?" She snapped.

"A-are you okay?" Tabi asks, getting to her feet.

"Yeah. So good." She lies.

"What happened?" Tabi questions, careful not to touch her.

"I tried to open up to Andy and Brian and they just totally blew me off." Allison admitted with a sniffle.

"Who cares what Brian and Andrew think?" Tabi asked, surprised by her own words.

"You care what Brian thinks." Allison pointed out.

"Not anymore." Tabi replies swiftly as Allison eyes her disbelievingly. "I'm sorry they did that to you." Tabi apologizes, hoping Allison ignores the subject change.

Allison looks as if she's about to speak before the sound of boots hitting carpet interrupts her. "What happened?" John asks.

"Andrew and Brian were jerks to Allison and Brian is a perverted adulterer." Tabi explains.

"Huh?" John sounds off.

"I dumped my bag on the couch and told them my home life was unsatisfying." Allison added.

"Brian has a picture of a woman's private area in his wallet. All he thinks about is sex." Tabi interjects.

"No shit. All guys do but listen. Johnson doesn't seem to be that bad of a guy. Especially when it comes to you." John noted.

"What do you mean?" Tabi asked.

"Really? All day he's been making eyes at you, touching you, talking to you, saying he likes you, and how he'll put up with your parents. Not a lot of guys would do that." John pointed out.

"So? He's also mean to Allison. And he's… my parents just wouldn't approve, Okay?" Tabi sighed.

"You're scared." Allison pointed out.

"No, I'm not." Tabi shot back.

"Yeah, you are or else you wouldn't be so nitpicky." Allison suggests.

How is she being nitpicky? Hasn't everybody seen the way Brian's been acting? Not being able to take Allison and John anymore, Tabi leaves. She walks upstairs to just sit by herself. Was she really being nitpicky? No! There's no way. She knows what she saw. She knows what could happen. No. She's not. Everything is fine. She's right. She could never be with Brian Johnson.
