"Maisie!"
Iris Carroll was searching through the museum parlor, looking for someone. And that someone was Maisie. After their guests left, the young girl sneaked out of her studies again, and Iris Carroll had to find her yet again. Maisie is probably exploring the forest with her Indoraptor. Yes, she knows about the hybrid. Ever since Lockwood brought Ripper into the household. Iris Carroll nearly had a heart attack when she discovered the hybrid menace. Seriously?! How can she take care of Maisie if she continues sneaking off and going to see Ripper all the time. The Indoraptor was Maisie's partner in crime; always helping her sneak out of her studies, and go to the forest to play. Iris Carroll was lucky to have Tobi to help her in this situation. A well-known gentleman, who is both polite and respectful, something that Maisie should learn. Iris Carroll was grateful to have Tobi around; a good role model is something Maisie needs.
Speaking of Maisie, Iris Carroll continues her search for the girl through the museum parlor. Calling out to her as she walks past the Triceratops's head.
"You're always hiding from me. This is not my job, looking for you." Iris Carroll mutters out, stopping her tracks as she places both her hands on his hips, looking around for the young girl. "Maisie! Maisie! Come out!"
No response, which causes Iris Carroll to sigh in frustration. She is too old for this. She should've called Tobi for assistance, but he was at Sir Lockwood's bedroom, taking care of his grandfather. Sometimes she hopes that Maisie would be more mature like him when she grows up. Suddenly, a rustling from the plants. Iris Carroll looks at the plant and sees nothing, which confuses her dearly before turning around to see a dinosaur display of a carnivore with a sale on its back, and a stuffed toy monkey hanging on its jaw. Before Iris Carroll could understand, someone appeared behind her and scared the living daylights out of the poor woman.
"Boo!"
"OH!"
Scaring Iris Carroll was none other than Maisie Lockwood, granddaughter of Benjamin Lockwood. The young girl was laughing innocently as she ignored her caretaker's scolding glare.
"You silly sausage." Iris Carroll glares at the girl in a scolding manner, but the young girl doesn't take it seriously, as she continues to giggle at her nanny. "You'll be the death of me. You know, one day, my heart might really stop. Then what would you do? Go and live in the forest with the lions with Ripper?"
"There are no lions in the forest. And if there were, Ripper could scare them off easily." Maisie said with a grin.
Iris Carroll sighs yet again, fixing Maisie's messy hair. "Your grandfather's been asking for you."
"Really?" Maisie asked excitingly, eyes sparkling with excitement.
"Mmm." Iris Carroll nods her head, finishing fixing Maisie's hair, "So, you go see your grandfather, and then you go straight to your bath."
Maisie groans mentally, "I don't want a bath." She said, not pronouncing the word in a British accent.
Iris Carroll gasped at her words, "What? Queen's English, girl." She said sternly as she repeated the word in a British Accent, "Bath."
"Bath." Maisie repeated it correctly but dully.
"Bath." Iris Carroll repeats it again.
"Bath." Again, Maisie repeated dully.
"Bath, not "bath", you're not a wild animal." Iris Carroll reminded Maisie sternly.
Maisie's response was roaring at her nanny, scaring the poor woman as she yelped in fright, which earned laughter from Maisie while Iris Carroll sternly tells her to stop. Thinking that Ripper was a bad influence on her. Iris Carroll takes Maisie to Lockwood's room, where the old man was looking through an album of old pictures of his deceased daughter, Charlotte Lockwood. With him was Tobi, the young man tending to his grandfather's every need, like fluffing his pillow, checking oxygen, and his pulse oximeter. Tobi was indeed what people say a 'Perfect Son'. And he's been living it up by assisting Iris Carroll in taking care of both his sister and grandfather, and helping the staff around the manor. Making him such a likable person in the manor.
A knock came from the door, causing Lockwood to look up and watch as his grandson opens the door to reveal Maisie coming in with Iris Carroll following her from behind. Maisie smiles at both her brother and grandfather.
"Hi, Grandpa." Maisie greeted Lockwood before hugging Tobi happily after he closed the door, and returned the hug. "Hi, Tobi." Maisie greeted with a grin. Tobi smiles at her and gently ruffles her hair, making her giggle. He lets her go as she bounces over to their grandfather while she ties her hair into a ponytail.
Lockwood smiles at his precious granddaughter. "Ah, there you are. Come over and sit by me." I've missed you." He said to her softly, closing the album and putting it aside, while Maisie came to him, sitting on the side of his bed.
"I was on safari with Ripper, collecting rare plants from all the way through the Cretaceous to the Jurassic in one day." Maisie explained her imaginary adventure to her grandfather about her and Ripper.
Lockwood smiles at her playfully, "Oh, my. What'd you see?"
Maisie shrugs her shoulders playfully, "Mostly herbivores. There was one T. rex, though. Ripper did his best not to challenge it." She joked, making her grandfather chuckle lightly. "Casualties, of course. Iris included. She jumped out of her skin." They turned toward Carroll.
She was standing next to Tobi behind a miniature model of Jurassic Park. The housekeeper had her arms crossed, giving a scolding look towards Maisie, while Tobi gave an apologetic smile. Not wanting her to be mad at Maisie for her playful demeanor.
Lockwood chuckles again at his granddaughter, "You have your mother's wicked sense of humor."
Maisie smiles at him sadly before looking at the album that was close to Lockwood. She knew that it was filled with her mother's pictures when she was young. Maisie never knew much about her mother. All she knows from her grandfather is that she was like her when she was little.
"Do I look like her?" Maisie suddenly asked, wanting to know more about her mother.
She wasn't aware that Carroll glanced up sadly towards Maisie while Tobi tilted his head in a curious manner. Lockwood made a sad smile at Maisie. He knew that she was curious about her mother. In truth, Maisie was everything like his daughter, Charlotte. However, she has no idea what secrets he was hiding, and he hopes that she doesn't find out. Therefore, he had to continue the lie in order to protect her.
"Oh, yes. You could be her mirror image." Lockwood said to Maisie with a small smile, unaware of the sad look his housekeeper was making.
"Did my mother ever visit the park?" Maisie asked curiously.
Lockwood chuckles at her lightly, "Once, a long time ago." He answered her softly, looking at the mini figure of Jurassic Park. "She would've saved them, too, you know. She would have saved them all."
Looking at the small figurine, Maisie was always curious about the dinosaur theme park. She always wanted to go there ever since she was little. And she would bring Tobi and Ripper with her to the park to see all those dinosaurs. Unfortunately, her grandfather refuses, not wanting to risk endangering Maisie's safety, and not wanting to reveal Ripper to the public. He has to be careful, for their sake.
"When do you think I can go out?" Maisie suddenly asked her grandfather, "To the city or a town?"
Lockwood made a worried look. He gently reaches out to his granddaughter and caresses her face gently, "You are not ready yet, Maisie."
Maisie sighs sadly, "But Grandpa! I never get to go far from the manor. And I don't have any friends my age."
"I know, Maisie, I know, but this for your own safety. Until then, you have to be more patient. You are not yet ready." Lockwood said to Maisie gently. Maisie looks down in defeat. Lockwood knows how sad it is for Maisie to be locked up in the manor instead of going out and making friends her age.
"I really want to meet Danica's sisters." Maisie whispers out, fiddling her shirt. "She said that they're the same age as I am and...and...I really wish they could be my friends."
Lockwood's eyes soften as he gently hugs his granddaughter, giving her the comfort she needs, "I understand, Maisie, you wish to make friends. And you will. Once they secure the dinosaurs, I will contact Ms. Dearing to bring her nieces here, to have a playdate together."
Maisie's eyes widened in happiness as they sparkled with excitement, "Really?!"
Lockwood smiled and nodded his head, "Really. After all, they love dinosaurs as much as you do."
"Do you think they'll like Ripper?" Maisie asked excitingly.
Lockwood chuckles at her words, "Maybe it is best that Ripper remain our little secret, we wouldn't scare your new friends now, would we?" He joked, making Maisie giggle. "Now, why don't you run along now and play with Ripper for a bit, I'll see you before supper."
Maisie nodded with a smile, hopping off the bed. As she did, someone knocks at the door before it opens to reveal Victoria Vision with a chart in her hands. She was coming in to check on Lockwood's health and was surprised to see Maisie inside.
"Oh, Maisie, you're here."
"Hi, Dr. Fusion!" Maisie smiles at her, "Just visiting grandpa, are you here to check on him?"
Victoria smiles and nodded, "Yes, I have to make sure his vitals are alright." She then looks at Tobi kindly, "Thanks for watching him for me, Tobi."
Tobi responded with a nod and a smile. "Tobi, please make sure to prepare Maisie's bath after she is done playing." Carroll said to Tobi.
Tobi nodded his head and politely bowed his head. He then holds his giggling sister's hand as they both leave the room, so Victoria could check on their grandfather. The two siblings headed downstairs and to the back entrance, towards a cave close by. Inside the cave belongs to Ripper the Indoraptor. Lockwood allowed the hybrid to live close by at their home, but he made sure to have Tobi to keep a close tab on him. Apparently, the hybrid only listens to Tobi, Maisie, and something Dr. Victoria Fusion. Yes, Victoria knows about Ripper because she is one the scientists working under Lockwood in cloning dinosaurs. And she was hired by Eli to not just be a doctor for Lockwood and Maisie, but also to Ripper. The Indoraptor likes Dr. Fusion, for she gives him treats after she's done checking him and also occasional head scratches, which he loves.
"Ripper! Ripper! We're back!" Maisie squeals, laughing to see Ripper's head poking out of the cave's entrance.
The Indoraptor made a roar like grinning, lowering his head and allowing Maisie to hug him happily. Tobi comes over and pats the Indoraptor's head gently, making the hybrid purr happily. Maisie lets go of his head and grins at him.
"Hope you weren't bored when you were waiting for us?" Maisie questions her Indoraptor.
Ripper grunts in response before turning towards the flowers that were growing on the side of his cave. He lets out a soft bellow at the flowers, and in a few seconds, small flower-like fairies emerge from their hiding spots, fluttering around the trio. Maisie giggles and holds up her hands, allowing a rose fairy to flutter on them. Tobi allowed some to sit on his shoulders while the rest were either fluttering around Ripper or sitting on his head. These little fairies are Maisie's little friends. She found them when she was five after she, Tobi, and Ripper explored the forest together. They became close friends and the little flower fairies live with Ripper to accompany him whenever Maisie and Tobi visit.
"You wouldn't believe what just happened!" Maisie said to her friends about her day, and how she met Dark, "There was this girl named Danica Grady, and she saved the dinosaurs from Jurassic World!"
Dark, Destiny, and Claire returned to Isla Nublar, and everyone was preparing for departure. Owen, Marco, and Barry are checking everything to make sure that all the dinos are all ready to go. They had every ACU and employee on the clock to gather all the dinosaurs to the transport ships that S.H.I.E.L.D. has provided for them. They are grateful that Dark works for that secret organization. Considering she does many missions and completes them with no problem. Moreover, they actually are doing this willingly. They knew that Jurassic World has many genetic clone dinosaurs, and many people who wish to use it for their own personal gain. They had to help them relocate and assist the scientists in hiding the information of the genetic cloning before it fell to the wrong hands.
"Alright! Let's move it people!" Owen ordered, walking through the crowd of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents and Jurassic World's ACU Team. "We have less than a week before Mount Sibo blows us! Get those Gallimimus on the ship!"
Marco was looking at his tablet to see that few dinosaurs were able to leave Isla Nublar. So far, they have transferred a herd of Parasaurolophus, Brachiosaurus, Ankylosaurus, Sinoceratops, and Stegosaurus to Isla Sorna as they speak. The Carnivores, Graboids, Xenomorphs, and Hybrids will be transferred to Mantah Corp Island soon after they deal with the herd. Val helps a lot thanks to her ability to speak with them. Each of the herds are being taken to different transport ships with heavy security. They are not risking any poachers attacking the ships.
"What's the statues of Mount Sibo, Archie?" Owen asked the scientist that was coming over.
Archie looks at his tablet to see the changes of Mount Sibo. "The magma within the volcano is rising quicker than I expected, indicating that we have less than four days before the eruption."
"So, we have to kick it to high gear." Owen said to Archie.
"Yup, so far, we were able to locate eight species to Isla Sorna; the rest will be heading there or Mantah Corp Island." Archie said, looking through the charts.
"So, let's not waste time," Marco said, looking towards the people, "MOVE IT OR LOSE IT PEOPLE! THE CLOCK IS TICKING!"
Everyone did what they were told and hurried things up, knowing very well that they had little time left before the eruption. The three men entered the lab to see many scientists gathering all the files, data, and resources, storing them safely in the crates to be transported on the lab at Mantah Corp Island. It is much safer there to put their research in a lab facility. Dr. Mae Turner was informed by this and happily assisted on this matter. She will not allow the dinosaurs to be extinct again.
"Hurry up people! Your plane will be here in an hour!" Marco yelled through the lab, passing many scurrying scientists, "Make sure to bring everything in this facility!"
The scientists listen and gather as much as they can for the flight. Wu and Archie were placing the rare files on a suitcase. The files show genetic hybridism for clone dinosaurs, as well as files about Val. Wu is making sure that these files are safe. It is important for them to keep this information locked and key.
"Everything okay here?" Owen asked, entering the lab with Marco, Archie, and Barry.
"Everything is fine, Owen. I'm just getting some important documents ready." Wu said, locking the suitcase and handing it to Allison Miles, Wu's assistant that works in the Jurassic World labs, "Dr. Miles, will be bringing these files to safety while me and Archie finish up with the other documents."
Allison nodded her head, "Right." She said before scurrying off to the transport ship that was outside.
Owen walks over to Wu while the scientists are transferring some data on a USB. "Still working on some data?"
"Yes, I am not leaving anything behind." Wu said to them in a serious tone. "Even if the volcano destroyed everything, there might be some salvage upon the rubble."
"He has a point there, Owen." Barry said to his partner, coming over to him while Marco answers a call, "There are some people that might go after the files, even if the computers are broken, and they can reengineer it."
Owen nods in agreement before he looks at Marco when he exclaims in his communicator, "What do you mean they've gone missing?!"
"Is something wrong, Marco?" Owen asked his friend in concern.
"I gotta call from Hamada." Marco answered in a serious tone, "He said some of the dinosaurs that have yet to be transported suddenly disappeared from their enclosures and their herds."
"What? How? And what are the dinos that went missing?" Owen asked in a demanding tone.
"An Ankylosaurus, an Allosaurus, a Stygimoloch, one of the Baryonyx siblings, a Stegosaurus, and some Triceratops."
"How the hell did they lose track of them?" Owen asked in shock.
"Hard to say, their tracking chips were disabled." Marco explains the situation in a dead serious tone as his eyes narrowed in suspicion, "I have a bad feeling about this."
"I feel the same way, Marc." Owen said in agreement, not liking the fact that some dinos were missing. "It smells like that bastard's work."
Owen knows that this must be the work of Uberto Mortem. He, like his deceased father, would steal valuable things in the name of science. However, his action caused much suffering and destruction, mostly to the people that were caught in the crossfire and Owen knew that the dinosaurs disappearing was probably the work of Uberto's. Who else was crazy enough to do so?
"Could be, but there's no way Uberto is doing this alone." Marco said, knowing very much that Uberto and Mortem are the same minds, "He must have hired his own squadron to collect the dinosaurs under our noses. But I have to investigate this and-"
Marco's communicator suddenly activated and a male voice was heard. :Kingbird! Kingbird! Do you read me?!:
Marco took his communicator and answered, "This is Marco, what's your situation?"
:We're here in the T. Rex enclosure, and found some of the employees unconscious and injured! And Rexy is gone!:
"What?! Did the security cameras catch anything?!"
:None, they were somehow shut down before we could extract the image.:
Marco and Owen shared a look. Knowing very well that there is danger coming. They quickly leave the lab while Barry and Archie help Wu gather all his work faster. The two men reach the elevator and Owen contacts Dark to be on high alert, informing her that they have uninvited guests. And in response, Dark lets loose a storm of curse words, forcing Owen to move the phone away from his face as Dark's voice yells through the phone in anger. It took Owen about two minutes to calm her down and asked her to meet up at the field, so they could investigate the disappearing dinosaurs. Dark agrees, not wanting those dinos to be used in the wrong hands. As they hung up, Dark called out to her partner, Spider-Man, and asked him for a favor.
"Spidey, it's Dark, I need you to find something about Lockwood, his daughter, and his granddaughter, Maisie Lockwood." She heard Spider-Man asking her why through her communicator. "I have a feeling that there is something suspicious in Lockwood manor. Also, can you find another individual. His name is Tobi, full name Tiberius Orenthal Balthazar Izaiah Lockwood...Yes, I know it's long name, just look it up. Contact me if you find anything."
Ending the call, Dark meets up with Owen and Marco at the field, searching for the missing dinosaurs. The others continue saving the dinosaurs before the eruption could happen anytime soon. Val and her friends help as much as they can to gather all the dinosaurs on the transport ships. The dinosaurs got in one by one while some were still being herded to the area. Although some of the dinosaurs wandered off from the herd and the Jurassic World Kids (Val, Celestia, Damien, Quinn, Aggie, Gem, and Kendall) helped bring them back to the herd.
"So far so good." Quinn mutters out, watching some herbivores getting in the transport ship. "Hope we can make it before the eruption happens."
"I hope so too," Gem agrees with Quinn, looking at Mount Sibo with worry. Black smoke was coming out from the volcano as it was ready to erupt anytime soon, "And I have a feeling that it will erupt anytime soon."
Aggie gulps in fear, fiddling her fingers nervously, "I hope we can make it, I don't like it if the volcano blows up." She said, adjusting her glasses.
"The sooner we leave the better." Kendall said, walking up towards her friends. "I do not wish for anyone to suffer the wrath of the volcano."
Val pups her fists in the air, "Then let's finish the job!"
With that said, the Jurassic World Kids help in search for the other dinosaurs that wandered off from their herd. They will take another transport ship that will arrive soon. They went further to the jungle in search of a juvenile Apatosaurus that wandered off from its herd. The kids search for it through the jungle. Val and Celestia call for it, hoping it could hear them, so it could follow their voice. However, as they searched, they heard the bellowing call of the Apatosaurus. It sounded terrified. Worried, the group runs in the direction, but only to hide underneath the undergrowth, hidden above a small cliff. There, they could see the Apatosaurus being taken down by a group of men that were not even employees of Jurassic World. Val and Celestia gasp in horror as the men use multiple tranquilizer darts at the poor dinosaur, forcing it to go unconscious. Kendall quickly silenced the two young girls as they watched as a man in his late fifties walked over to the dinosaur, placing his boot on the Apatosaurus's neck with signs of remorse.
"We got a big one, bagged it and shoved it onto the ship. We have less than a few minutes before we bomb the volcano." He said to his men.
Val, Celestia, and Aggie gasped in shock while the others remained quiet, listening to the man's words. Damien took out his phone and recorded his conversation with his men, so he could send it to the others. The man was telling his group to take the Apatosaurus to the far side of the island, where the others were hiding, and have to set the bomb on.
"Bomb? What bomb?" Damien whispers in panic.
"I…I don't know, but we have to inform my dad about this." Quinn whispers out, watching the whole ordeal with narrowed eyes. "We have to go before we get spotted."
Val and Celestia didn't want to leave the Apatosaurus alone, but if they want to help it, they have to call for back-up. They quickly leave the area, as far away as possible, without getting spotted by those poachers. They need to contact the others before it is too late. They reach a safe area and Kendall quickly calls her dad.
"Come on…come on…" Quinn mutters anxiously. After a few seconds of grueling waiting, almost felt like an eternity, Quinn's dad answered her call. "Dad! Thank goodness you answered."
:Quinn? What's wrong?: Marco asked in concern, worried about his daughter.
"Dad, we were looking for a wandering Apatosaurus when we found some group of men that weren't employees." Quinn informs her dad.
:What do they look like?: Marco sounds alarmed yet serious, wanting to know who these intruders are.
"Damien is sending the video to you right now." Quinn said, nodding at Damien as he sent the video to Marco.
The video was sent to Marco when he, Dark, and Owen were heading to Rexy's paddock. The trio looked at the video carefully and saw the man that appears to be the leader of the group, giving out orders while the Apatosaurus was subdued. Marco and Dark recognize the man in the video. It was Ken Wheatley, an experienced mercenary and hunter/poacher. He did some illegal business and crimes. Marco recognizes him by his reputation while Dark was appointed by Agent Fury to capture him for questioning about Uberto since his sources believe that he was linked to him.
"So, it's true, Uberto did hire mercenaries here." Dark said with a growl, looking at the video.
:Yeah! And he mentioned about a bomb to Mount Sibo.: Val said through the phone.
"A WHAT?!" Dark, Owen, and Marco exclaimed in horror when they heard this.
"What bomb?!" Dark bellowed through the phone.
:He said that they were gonna plant a bomb at Mount Sibo and is taking dinosaurs from the enclosures.: Aggie added through the communicator.
"Dammit, he and his team must've captured the rest of the wandering dinosaurs as well as the predators in their enclosures." Dark said in anger. "And if they bomb in the volcano."
"Mount Sibo will erupt earlier than expected." Marco said with a glare. "We have to stop this."
"No shit, Sherlock." Dark said with narrowed eyes. "I'll go to Mount Sibo, you guys go to the restricted area. That might be the location of the mercenaries. Marco, make sure to inform everyone to kick it into high gear."
Marco and Owen nodded in agreement. "Alright, kids, get back to base, and no detours." Owen said through the phone.
:You got it, Owen.: Quinn said through the phone, :And be careful.:
"You as well." Marco said before ending the call. "Let's move out."
With that, the trio splits up. Dark transforms into a raven before she flies to Mount Sibo. While Owen, and Marco drive to the restricted area. Marco informs all the employees to hurry up and get ready to depart, for the volcano might erupt anytime soon. If Wheatley bombs Mount Sibo, the explosion will trigger the eruption and cause a catastrophe.
However, they failed to realize that they were after someone else. When Barry and Archie left to place the items in the transport ship, Wu stayed behind to shut down the power of the facility. So far, all the scientists left the building and are being transferred to the Mantah Corp Island (they have yet to change the name of the island), and will prepare their work there. Wu just needed to make sure that nothing was left to trace or be used by anyone else. He wouldn't want his work to fall in the wrong hands. But as Wu was closing everything, he wasn't aware that someone was behind him. Without a warning, someone placed a cloth on Wu's mouth, causing the scientist to let out a muffled scream. He tries to shake off the intruder but he suddenly feels dizzy as the world around him starts to spin. And the next thing he knew, his world went dark, but not before he heard a muffling voice of man speaking.
"We got the chief scientist, we're on our way back."
Owen and Marco reach the restricted area. There, they hid the jeep within the undergrowth and went on foot. The two men carefully maneuvered through the jungle's path and towards a Cliffside that has a coastline below. The two men were trained very well when going to enemy lines. Well, Marco is, he was a former assassin. Both he and Owen hid under some trees and bushes as they look below the cliff and saw something that made them both gasp.
There, on the beach, a transport ship was seen, and many dinosaurs that were on crates, were being dragged inside. They knew very well that they found what they were looking for. These men were stealing dinosaurs and trespassing on the island. Marco knew Uberto hired them to capture the dinosaurs. Marco took out advanced looking binoculars that could even hear the men's conversation. He uses it to spy on those men. In doing so, he could see them talking about transporting these dinos to the Lockwood estate.
"Lockwood Estate?" Marco whispers out, catching Owen's attention.
"Wait, that's where Claire got a call from Benjamin Lockwood," The raptor trainer said quietly.
Marco nodded his head, "Yes...but why would Lockwood give the order in doing so? Claire already refuses for his help since we already have S.H.I.E.L.D.'s assistance...unless..."
"Unless what?"
"Unless this order was given outside from the chain of commands." Marco stated to Owen in a matter-of-fact tone. "Someone has given them the order to capture some dinosaurs that separated themselves from the herd. Remove their tracking chips and store them here. They got the predators with ease by knocking out the extraction team and taking the already unconscious dinos in their cages."
"Dammit, we have to find out what they are planning to do with those dinos." Owen said before looking at Marco. "Inform Dark, we need to get into that ship."
Speaking of Dark Twilight, the demonic woman was soaring through the sky in her Raven form, heading towards Mount Sibo. She carefully observes her surroundings as she makes her way to the jungle, and finds a waterfall. Dark looks at the waterfall and jumps through it with immense speed, entering a secret cavern. There, she lands on a rocky platform that leads to a pathway into the volcano. Dark narrows her eyes as she follows the path through the cavern.
:Dark? Are you there?: Marco spoke through her communicator.
"This is Dark, what's the sitch?" Dark asked, continue walking through the dark cavern.

Dark did her best to suppress her growl, "Oh, yeah, I know who." Dark mutters out as she starts sprinting through the cavern, "I have a hunch that one working on behalf of Lockwood is someone named Eli Mills."
:Shit, I should've known,: Marco mutters out of his breath, :Mills used to be Mortem's client. He's running the whole operation with Uberto.:
"No wonder he was persistent." Dark mutters through the communicator, "He wanted Claire to agree so he can send his team to capture the dinosaurs under our noses. Hell, he'll probably kill the people in the process to cover their tracks."
:And since Claire refused the offer, he had no choice but to send them here secretly in order to get the dinos, and blow up the volcano...Dark, me and Owen are going to infiltrate the ship while you stop the bomb.:
"I'm already on it, Kingbird. Over and out." Dark said, ending the call, and venturing further to the cavern.
Dark saw an entrance ahead and was about to sprint forward until voices were heard within it. Narrowing her eyes, Dark sinks into the shadows to spy on the people inside. True to the Jurassic World Kids words, there were a group of men (about ten at least) that were setting up highly explosive bombs close by. She could feel the magma beneath her feet. Dark knew the risk if those bombs were set off. She had to disable them before it was too late. Taking out an assault rifle, Dark stalks silently through the stalagmites without getting spotted. Those men were so busy with their jobs that they were not aware of Dark's presence. Dark peeks behind a rock and sees a man holding a remote that will activate the detonation of the bomb that would activate the explosion, as well as creating the eruption of Mount Sibo.
That was enough for Dark to hear.
Without any warning whatsoever, Dark gets out of her hiding spot and points her rifle at the man with the remote, and fires a single bullet. That shot forces the man to scream in pain as the remote was sent flying and lands on the ground. Luckily, it didn't activate the explosion. However, it did alarm the men, who are now aware of Dark's presence. Pointing their rifles at Dark, they started firing bullets at her. Dark was quick and runs to the other side, avoiding the bullets while she shoots at the men. She took down three of them while two were injured. The remaining gunman continues shooting at Dark, only for her to easily evade them when she kicks herself up by using a stalagmite to boost herself up and maneuvered through the stalactites with ease while firing at the remaining gunmen, disarming them or injuring them. But as she landed onto the ground, one of the injured men was near the remote. He spotted the remote and made a grab for it. Seeing this, Dark's eyes widened in shock, as she knew that this man wasn't thinking straight.
"NO!" Dark yelled at the man.
He pressed the button.
And the bombs exploded.
The flower fairies are the ones from the The Spiderwick Chronicles movie.
