Good evening,

I hope you enjoy the chapter.

Oxford Not Brogues

Chapter Eleven

After showering separately, Alucard and Sebastian stood in the demon's room fully dressed and ready to spend time with their daughter. Seras, exhausted from the lack of sleep, having multiple orgasms, and enduring their hard fucking, was currently passed out. The bed was an utter mess from their lovemaking. A pillow was lying on the floor, the fitted sheet was barely hanging on to the mattress from being grabbed and pulled, and the top sheet was wrinkled as it poorly covered their nude mate. Cum and other juices stained the white sheets and their mate's gorgeous, plump inner thighs. Seras lay on her stomach with one leg outstretched and the other bent. One arm rested close to her face on the pillow as the other was shoved under her pillow.

The lousy sheet did them no favors by hiding her ass and one of her long legs from them. But this didn't keep the demon from running his fingers slowly and gingerly up her outstretched leg that was bare to them. He traced over her calf and up to the back of her thigh. Her pale skin was smooth, warm, and supple. It made him ache to bury his fangs into that soft skin and drink straight from her femoral artery. She would wake to absolute bliss, bury her fingers in his hair, and beg to be fucked again. While the thought was very tempting, Sebastian knew that it had to wait. Seras needed sleep and they needed to spend time with their daughter. Instead of defiling her while she lay there ever so vulnerable, the demon leaned over to place a kiss on the top of her head.

"Dream sweetly, darling." He whispered.

Allison sat on the blanket in the foyer, right where her mother left her. The toddler, amazingly, was perfectly content building a small tower out of her wooden blocks. She hummed to herself a melody that was strange and out of tune while she moved her head from side to side, performing her own little head dance. Next to her on the blanket was her favorite toy 'watching' her as she played. On the rest of the blanket were other toys scattered about, but she wasn't interested in them at the moment. Since setting up this little play area, the girl had hardly seen anyone. Walter did come through at one point. He asked about her wellbeing before asking where her mother was. After making sure the young vampire was alright, he proceeded on his way. Even though that was about an hour ago, Allison barely noticed. She was so completely distracted by her own toys, that she was unaware of how much time passed. She wasn't even wondering where her mum was, though she could only assume that her mother was still training with the monsters. When completing her little tower, the toddler scooped up her toy fox.

"And you go right here!" Little Alice smiled brightly as she placed her stuffed animal on top of her tower. Thankfully, the tower stayed standing. "Now you're tall and you can see everything." She giggled, more than happy to have helped her best friend. Afterwards, she grabbed a nearby barbie doll and started brushing her hair. Without even thinking, she continued humming her made up song and moved her head to it.

From the balcony above, Alucard and Sebastian watched the toddler play. After checking in with Sir Integra, the males found themselves here. With his arms resting on top of the banister, the demon leaned over it while he kept his dark red eyes trained on the happy little vampire below. Both were afraid to make their presence known to her. They knew that as soon as they showed their faces that smile would disappear from little Alice's face and she would look at them in contempt. That innocent little giggle of hers wouldn't greet their ears. She would only sit there in fear or anger…or both. They weren't looking forward to the cold shoulder they knew they would receive from her. But they couldn't stay hidden from their only daughter forever, especially if they wanted to fix the relationship they had with her.

But for the time being, Alucard and Sebastian stoodby and smiled while they watched the precious toddler play nicely. They enjoyed the nonsensical tune she hummed. They felt nothing but warmth, contentment, and love hearing her laugh every so often. Little Alice used both hands to brush her hair out of her face before tucking her gorgeous black hair behind her ears to keep it out of her way. They watched as her dark red eyes swiftly moved, searching the toys that were within reach before grabbing for another barbie. A sharp pain appeared in Sebastian's chest as realization hit him. He proceeded to smile, though nothing but regret and pain glistened in his eyes.

"I greatly appreciate being her adoptive father. It means a lot to me." Sebastian broke the silence between them. "But I can't help but envy you." Alucard glanced at the demon from the corner of his eye. "I love little Alice, I will always see her as my very own daughter, but…she's of your flesh and blood."

"You wish for a daughter of your own." The elder vampire stated more than asked before he looked back at his own daughter.

"It sounds horrible, does it not? Here's a daughter before me and I'm still not satisfied." The demon sighed, feeling guilty for his thoughts and feelings.

"I don't think it's as horrible as you think it is." Alucard told him truthfully. "I have no doubt that you love Allison and see her as your own. You simply want to have a child with Seras, and just because you want a child of your own flesh and blood doesn't mean you love her any less." A grin then graced the No Life King's lips. "You know what you want and the timing is perfect." The demon released a gasp before shifting his head to stare at Alucard.

"Are you suggesting…" Sebastian was interrupted by the chuckling elder vampire.

"Seras will be going through heat quite soon." Alucard reminded him. He then looked back at the demon. "I won't get in your way, though you best discuss it with our mate first." Stunned by the possibility of having a child with Seras, Sebastian slowly looked back at his adoptive daughter.

"Another child?" He whispered in disbelief.

"And Allison would have a sibling, which I'm sure she'll love." The elder vampire snickered.

"Do you think…Seras…would want another child?" Sebastian asked nervously. "What if she isn't ready or…doesn't want anymore kids?"

"Maybe she'll be suddenly blessed with baby fever." Alucard replied cheekily, as if he was subtly implying something. Before the demon could question that remark, the No Life King was walking away. "Think about it, Michaelis. Persuading Seras to have a second child won't be very hard if she's reminded what it's like having a baby around." Was Alucard suggesting that he tricks Seras by subtly dropping hints; making her believe that the idea of having a second child was purely her own? Sebastian wondered silently to himself. Taking one more glimpse at the toddler, the demon sighed before pushing off the banister to follow Alucard down the stairs.

"We have to brush all the knots out like Mummy taught us." Alice told her fox as she brushed her barbie's stubborn hair. "It's so knotty! I hope I'm not hurting her." When the elder monsters approached the tiny one, the hairs on the back of her neck stood up. Alert, the little vampire swung her head around to look up at them. Such fear swelled in the girl's eyes while she gazed at them with her mouth gaping open. After a few seconds, that fear vanished to be replaced with loathing. Her mouth snapped shut to grimace at them.

"Where's Mum?!" Allison raised her voice. Was she afraid that they had done something to her mother? Sebastian wondered while a frown formed on his lips.

"Your mother is taking a nap." Alucard answered. "She'll join us in an hour or two."

"I don't need a babysitter." Alice told him.

"We're your fathers, not babysitters." The elder vampire retorted.

"I don't want you here." The little girl mumbled under her breath. Mum is making me do this! It wasn't long before her mood suddenly changed. Mummy said I had to be nice or we won't be able to rent Lilo and Stitch tonight. She then rolled her eyes with a heavy sigh. Deciding that ignoring them was the best way to be nice, she turned back around and returned to brushing her doll's hair. I can't say anything mean if I pretend they're not here. The little girl thought to herself.

"May we join you?" Sebastian asked politely as he gestured at the blanket. Allison merely shrugged her shoulders. "Thank you," Alucard sat down on the left side of the blanket while the demon took a seat across from his adoptive daughter. The toddler made a funny face before she turned a little to the right, looking away from them. "Your tower looks very neat and sturdy. You did a very good job building it." He praised her, hoping this will give him some brownie points.

"Thanks," She mumbled, using a disgruntled tone.

"You placed your toy fox on the very top." The demon narrated her previous actions, hoping that she noticed that he was showing some interest in her way of playing. "It can see all now. That was nice of you to do for it."

"Him," His daughter corrected him with a frown of disapproval.

"What?" Sebastian questioned her with furrowed brows. Annoyed, the little girl glanced up at him.

"Bosley is a boy fox. He's a him, not an it." Alice further explained to her ignorant fathers.

"I'm sorry," The demon apologized as he looked back at the 'male' fox that lacked the necessary body parts to even be considered as such. "I didn't realize you genderized your toy."

"I don't know what that means." The girl grumbled under her breath before she returned to brushing her barbie's hair.

"You named him Bosley?" Alucard tried confirming. Without looking at him, Allison nodded her head. "What made you choose that name?" She shrugged her shoulders.

"I liked it." She muttered a few seconds later. Silence befell them. The dark haired males sat quietly and watched her, listening to the sound of the brush going roughly through the doll's hair. Every so often the bristles got caught in a knot. Pulling hard, the little vampire was able to work the knot out. One of the two males decided to take a crack at conversing with his daughter.

"Your mother told us that you've been working on spelling. Do you care to use your blocks and spell some words for us?" The elder vampire asked. "Why don't you show us what you've learned." Showing a bit of embarrassment, the tiny girl turned more to the right and stayed intently focused on her doll.

"No," She whispered, though her tone came off more as her being shy than angry or annoyed. The No Life King snickered at his bashful princess.

"If you don't want to use your blocks, you don't have to. You could spell out loud for us." Sebastian attempted to compromise with her. Nervously, little Alice looked back at the demon. Fear and uncertainty twinkled in her pretty red eyes. Was it from the fear of having to speak out loud that she looked at him in such a way? She stared at him for a moment and then glanced down at her tower of blocks.

"Are you able to spell your name?" Alucard encouraged her. Turning towards her blocks, the little girl looked up at the elder vampire with a curious look in her eyes.

"Can…I spell anything?" She asked him softly. "I don't want to spell my name." The No Life King nodded his head in agreement.

"Spell whatever you like, my dear." He purred. For a split second, Alucard and Sebastian could have sworn they heard Alice's heart accelerate before returning to normal. Not long after that happened, a small smile appeared on her lips. Excitement? The elder vampire had to wonder as he watched her exceedingly close. From what? Their attention? Their interest in her likes and education? Or because he called her 'dear'? Perhaps all of the above? He considered. Was his daughter subconsciously seeking approval and praises from a male role model? Carefully, Alice picked up her toy fox and placed him beside her on the blanket. Afterwards, she started deconstructing her tower.

"I can't spell big." Alice informed them as she organized her blocks in front of her so she could see each letter.

"B-I-G," Sebastian spelled for her. Surprisingly, the little girl giggled and her smile widened.

"I know how to spell big." She corrected him. "I can't spell big words."

"Oh, that's what you meant." The demon snickered. "That's alright. Show us what you can spell." Using her blocks, the girl spelled out multiple words: fox, pet, moo, for, cat, and call. Sebastian nodded his head in approval as he watched her spell out each word carefully. She appeared to know exactly what she was doing because she never hesitated putting a letter down where she thought it should go.

"You are quite the speller." Alucard praised the toddler.

"What is the longest word you can spell?" Sebastian asked her out of curiosity. Little Alice barely acknowledged him as she scrambled her blocks around, destroying the work she did. Eager for more appraisal, she attempted spelling out bigger words. The first word she spelled was 'mummy', not much to their surprise. The second word she spelled was colour. For her next word, Alice grabbed the letters A and L. At first, Alucard and Sebastian considered that she was going to spell out her own name, but she didn't. Grabbing other letters, she spelled out Alucard.

"Hold on," Sebastian interrupted as she was grabbing more blocks to spell out a new word. Alice paused to glance up at the confused looking demon. "You spelled Alucard's name. How did you know how to spell it?" The little vampire frowned at him after he asked her that.

"His name…is easy." She answered with a shrug. She then pointed at her blocks as she sounded out his name. "Al-u-card,"

"Your mother is teaching you to pronunciate?" Sebastian asked in disbelief. Alice looked all the more confused. "You're three!"

"Why are you stunned?" Alucard questioned him. "We already knew that Seras is teaching her how to read and write. And we know that Allison is quite intelligent, especially for her age. I don't find it surprising at all that little Alice knows how to spell through pronunciation."

"I'm not stunned, I'm proud." Sebastian corrected him. "Seeing her in action, seeing what she can do, I am thrilled. Quite the brilliant child!" A blush appeared on the little vampire's face while she smiled ever so bashfully. She was used to her mother praising her, but she had never received appraisal for her intelligence from someone else. Despite the appraisal coming from the scary monsters, Alice felt proud having impressed them. Maybe…they weren't so bad? While it did make him feel better that his daughter was warming up to him, Alucard couldn't help but frown when hearing this particular thought.

"Allison, why are you afraid of us?" Alucard asked her. The smile dropped from the child's face. Lifting her gaze, she locked eyes with him.

"Stop reading my thoughts." She demanded in a whisper.

"I'll do my best, but I would still like to know." The elder vampire responded. The frown on her face deepened while fear and disappointment mingled in her eyes.

"You do bad things. You hurt people." Alice reminded them. She lowered her gaze to look back at her doll. "You're monsters. I'm scared." The little Draculina then looked back up at the elder creatures. "How do you know that you are my dads?" She asked abruptly. "It doesn't seem right. I'm not a killer. I'm not mean and I don't like hurting people. Mummy swears that you're my dads, but I don't think so. How do you know that you are my dads?" How were they supposed to explain that to a toddler? Alucard and Sebastian wondered. They couldn't exactly tell her how a baby is conceived. However, perhaps they can tell her in a way that isn't crude?

"I won't explain the process to you, but only mates…I mean people who…love each other can have babies together." Sebastian attempted to explain to her. Allison cocked her head to the side.

"Mates?" She repeated, the word being foreign to her. "What's that?"

"A mate is a person a demon, or a vampire, could love with all of his heart." The demon answered. Little Alice pursed her lips as she sat there for a second and thought about what he said.

"You love my mum?" The little girl asked in disbelief.

"Yes," Alucard replied with a nod.

"Does that mean she's your mate?" Allison proceeded to ask questions.

"Yes," Sebastian answered.

"And because you love my mum, and she's your mate, I was born?" Alice asked as she pressed a hand against her chest.

"That's correct," The demon nodded his head.

"If you are my dads then why didn't I know? Why weren't you with Mummy and me?" The child asked. Why must she ask such complicated questions? How were they supposed to explain that to her?

"We don't have an answer for you, Allison." Alucard admitted to her. The little vampire sighed as she lowered her head to glare in annoyance at her doll.

"I still don't believe you're my dads." Alice muttered under her breath. "I'm nothing like you. And I don't want to be a monster like you." She then turned her back on them and returned to playing with her doll.

"You don't have to be anything like us to be considered our child. Rather you're a killer or a pacifist, we will love you no matter what. You are our daughter." Sebastian told her. "Your heart is pure. Purer than your mother's. I hope nothing in this world corrupts it."

"Neither of us would ever hurt you." Alucard added. The child didn't look or speak to them. "What can we do so you won't fear us?" Unfortunately, she proceeded to ignore them. Were they getting anywhere with her? Only a moment ago it seemed like they were making some progress. She had laughed, smiled, and showed off her intelligence to hear their praises. And now she was back to giving them the cold shoulder. What can they do? "Alice, we just want to be fathers you can be proud of. We want you to feel safe and comfortable around us. What can we do to make that happen?" There was silence once more. The monsters sat there in that unbearable silence and watched their daughter as she purposely ignored them. And then, miraculously, she decided to respond.

"I don't know," She whispered. Forgetting her doll completely, she set the barbie in her lap as she stared off in the distance. I want a daddy. They couldn't help but overhear her thoughts. I want a daddy just like the foxes in my storybook. Tears welled up in the child's eyes as that need for a father became overwhelming for her. If they are my dads, why weren't they with us? Was Mummy scared because they're scary monsters? Could they be…less scary? An idea sparked in the toddler's eyes then. Maybe if they were less scary…we could be a family like the foxes in the story. "Can…you be…nicer?" She asked them a moment later. Hesitantly, the little girl peeked at them from over her shoulder.

"Nicer?" Sebastian repeated. "Have we not been nice to you?"

"I was talking about the humans, but…" Alice trailed off. Nervously, she bit her bottom lip.

"But what?" The demon asked when she was reluctant to finish that thought.

"Nothing." She murmured with a red face and looked away from them. Since she was too timid to tell them what she wanted, Alucard redirected the conversation.

"You want us to be nicer to the humans or your mother?" The No Life King questioned. He wasn't thrilled by the idea, but he was desperate to please his daughter. If this helped their relationship and made her less fearful of them, then he would do it in a heartbeat.

"Both," Allison answered.

"How can we be nicer to them?" He asked the toddler. His little Draculina turned to face them once again.

"Maybe don't kill them?" The child suggested with a small smile.

"Allison, we kill bad humans. So does your mother." Sebastian responded. "We are ordered to by Sir Integra."

"You kill bad humans?" She repeated while blinking stupidly at her fathers. "How do you know that they're bad?"

"Because they're working with vampires." Alucard explained to her.

"Not all vampires are bad." Alice told him. "Do you think Mummy and I are bad vampires?" The dark haired males sighed when their daughter pulled that card on them. They smiled softly while the demon lightly shook his head.

"No," They replied simultaneously.

"But there are quite a few that do bad things." Sebastian added.

"Okay, but not all humans that work with vampires are bad. You work with humans. Are Sir Integra and Walter bad humans?" She reminded them.

"No," The demon answered with a snicker. "They're good humans trying to protect other good humans."

"So how do you know when someone is good and bad?" Allison asked.

"Bad people do bad things." The demon explained with a wave of his hand. "We kill humans and vampires, but only if they're hurting or killing good people."

"Oh," Little Alice exclaimed softly in realization. "Then I guess it's okay if you kill the bad humans. But leave the good humans alone. Okay?"

"Alright," Alucard chuckled at his precious daughter.

"You have our word." Sebastian promised as he placed his hand on his chest and gave a half bow.

"Good!" Allison giggled with joy.

"How else can we be nicer?" Alucard asked.

"Maybe compliments?" The child suggested. "Compliments make people smile. People like compliments." She laughed in glee that she thought of something so smart.

"You want us to compliment humans?" The elder vampire questioned her.

"Yeah! And compliment Mum too!" She exclaimed with a vigorous nod of her head.

"Trust me, your mother has been showered with compliments and will receive plenty more in the future." Sebastian assured the little girl with a smirk. "Is there anything else you can think of, darling?"

"Um…" The child thought carefully. "I don't know."

"What other ways can we be nicer to your mother?" Alucard asked.

"Your workouts with her are long." Alice complained. "Do they have to be so long?"

"Alice, those workouts are necessary, especially since one of her major flaws while fighting is not watching her own back." Sebastian responded. "We're giving her the resources she needs to survive and protect you. Without those workouts, your mother could get harmed or even be killed on our missions."

"Don't you protect Mummy on missions?!" Allison asked as a look of horror flashed into her eyes. Fearful of what could happen to her mother, the little girl scooped Bosley up into her arms and hugged him tightly to her chest. "You're supposed to! Please protect Mummy! I don't want to lose her!"

"Allison, it's alright. There's no need to get upset." Sebastian attempted to calm the toddler before a tantrum or meltdown could happen. "Alucard and I do protect your mother on missions. We would never let anything hurt her."

"We love your mother. Remember?" Alucard whispered to his daughter who was on the brink of tears. "Do you think we would let anyone harm a single hair on your mother's head?" His daughter hesitated, but eventually she shook her head. "We promise to never let anything happen to her."

"You promise?" Alice whispered, looking slightly skeptical.

"My word is my bond." The No Life King vowed to his princess. His daughter then held out her pinky. Without question, he hooked her pinky with his.

"You made a pinky promise! You can't ever break it!" The little girl announced with a large smile, causing the elder vampire to chuckle. Her pinky then slipped out of his so she could hug her toy fox some more. "Maybe you can be nicer to Mum by…telling her how much you love her?" She smiled bashfully at her father. "Mum loves you both very much, but I don't think she knows that you love her. Will you tell her?"

"We'll start to tell her every day." Sebastian promised.

"And maybe get her flowers?" Alice suggested.

"Flowers are an excellent idea. Perhaps later you'll help us find the perfect flowers for your mother? I'm sure you know exactly what she likes." The demon purred, earning a nod from the child. "Now, how can we be nicer to you, dear?" He gestured his head at the toddler. The smile fell from her face as her cheeks reddened.

"Oh…um…" Alice whispered as embarrassment sunk it's claws into her. She nervously hugged Bosley even tighter. "Well…um…"

"Yes?" The demon encouraged her with a warm smile.

"What about…a…hug?" The little Draculina asked softly. Alucard and Sebastian both jolted in surprise from that request. She wanted to be hugged by them?! The girl then gave a small smile. "People don't hug monsters. Maybe if I hugged you, you'd be less scary to me." Something then crossed Alice's mind. "Are you guys scary because you don't get hugged? Is that why you're mean?" She asked them innocently. The monsters stared at her for several long seconds. The way she viewed the world, that wonderful naivety, and her precious way of thinking, it awed them. It was unbelievable to them how much they loved that adorable little creature.

"Some might have considered that." Sebastian replied, though he was positive no one would think such a thing. He and Alucard both were thoroughly convinced that hugging wasn't going to cure them of being monsters. But they would never deny their daughter a hug.

"Would you feel comfortable hugging us?" Alucard asked. "If you saw that we are…huggable, would you be less afraid of us, my dear daughter?"

"I think so," Alice murmured. She then shrugged. "I don't know." I just want a hug from my dads. The girl thought to herself as her eyes became misty with tears again. "Can I hug you?" She asked as she opened her arms, waiting anxiously to be hugged for the first time by her fathers.

"You needn't ask us. I would never deny you one, Alice." Alucard told her before he opened his arms to her. At first, the little girl reminded them of timid prey. She calculated every move as she inched closer towards him. Her eyes bounced between the two males, almost as if she was waiting for one of them to attack. But they stayed their ground and patiently waited for her. When crawling her way over to Alucard, she slowly stood up on her own two feet. She barely made it to his eye level, but that didn't keep them from locking gazes with one another. There was a twinkle of uncertainty in her eyes while she reconsidered her choice.

"You're…not going to…eat me, are you?" The toddler asked in a shaky voice. Alucard's eyes widened from such a question. What in the world was she talking about?! Eat her?! Why would she even think such a thing?

"No, Allison, I'm not going to eat you." The No Life King answered, never thinking he would have to assure his daughter of such a thing. "Why do you think that I would even want to?"

"You were both being extra scary last night." Alice reminded them. Alucard and Sebastian were filled with instant regret, even though they hadn't intended on scaring her. They simply thought they were playing with her. Had she been so scared that she actually thought they would eat or kill her? "You hissed at me, and…your fangs…You bared them at me. They were so long and sharp. It was really scary."

"I was playing with you, Allison. If I had known it was going to frighten you, I wouldn't have done it." Alucard promised her as he gingerly brushed her hair behind her ear.

"You were playing?" She repeated softly.

"Yes," The elder vampire laughed. "You were so cute baring your little fangs and hissing at us. You were ready to take us head on, weren't you, my brave little one?" A shy smile appeared on the child's face.

"You weren't scared then?" Alice asked her father.

"I felt a jolt of fear in my heart." Alucard lied to spare his daughter's feelings. "I believe my soul nearly left my body." The little girl giggled with pride after learning she had 'successfully' scared such strong monsters.

"I'm sorry for scaring you." Allison responded through her beautiful laughter. "And I'm sorry for baring my teeth and hissing at you. Mum has told me a dozen times not to do that, but I keep forgetting."

"Mind your mother, Alice." Sebastian lightly scolded her.

"I will," The child vowed, though knowing her, she'll probably forget in the future. "You're really not going to eat me then?" She asked for extra assurance.

"We're not going to eat you." The No Life King chuckled.

"Okay!" The little girl exclaimed. "I guess I can hug you then." Hesitantly, she balanced on the tips of her toes before she leaned in to wrap her arms around his neck. Alucard securely wrapped his long arms around her thin body. The child smelled sweetly of milk and honey. Was that her own natural scent? How had he not noticed before? How little time he had spent with his only daughter. He was ashamed. Her hug was so soft and incredibly warm. Amazingly, it did soothe the old monster. He could get lost in her hug. It stunned him when Alice's arms tightened around him before she rested her head against his. "I like your hug." Allison whispered. "This isn't scary."

"Do you think I'm less scary now?" Alucard asked her. The little girl pulled out of the hug to look her father in the face. Her eyes took him all in as she thought carefully about it.

"A little," She answered truthfully. "You're still a little scary, but…I can get used to that." She gave him a bright smile. Little Alice then looked over at the demon. "Do you think if you guys got lots of hugs, you'll be nicer?" The child asked innocently. "A hug a day may keep the meanies away." She laughed.

"Meanies?" Sebastian chuckled at the endearing girl.

"Yeah. Maybe being hugged will make you less mean." The child considered.

"And who will be providing these hugs?" Alucard asked out of curiosity.

"I will, I guess." Alice answered with a shrug. "Do you think it will work?"

"It's possible," The demon laughed. Happy to hear this, the child pounced like a kitten at Sebastian. She wrapped her thin arms around his neck and gave him such a tight hug, as if she was trying to squeeze every drop of evil out of him. He was aware that she was only three, but did she truly believe that hugging would make them less monstrous? It was a ridiculous thought of hers, but…he supposed the thought wasn't too inane. The monsters wanted to perfect themselves for their daughter; they wanted to do right by her and be everything she dreamed of in a father figure. Was it really possible for this child to tame these old, scary monsters by hugging them? Even now, hugging her to him, Sebastian did feel a great sense of calm wash over him. Has he ever been this relaxed before? He was unable to recall. Maybe Allison was onto something.
