Bright white lights streaked by as the ship sped through the vast galaxy. In the cockpit of this ship sat a young boy. He had a lose robe draped over his bare chest, scarred, muscular and tattooed all three a result of the Night-Mothers actions. A conflicted look passed behind the young boys eyes as he stared at the object in his hands.
"Oh Luminara." He whispered quietly.
In his hand was a hilt of a Lightsaber. It was black and bronze, rugged and formidable. It wasn't the weapon of a Jedi but a beast, signified best by the jagged spike of cruel, cold, unfeeling metal at its base. The crystal powering it's core wasn't anything natural. It's the product of magik and corruption of all things good and light in the world. The crystal was once two, taken from the Lightsabers of Jedi Master Luminara Unduli and twisted by Talzin and her Spirit Ichor.
It turned the blade from the vibrant green of the Jedi to the sickly pale green of the Night-Sister shamans. When Raiden used it he gave into his anger. Delved to the very depths of his rage. Basked in the cold fire of his enemies fear. No not enemies. For when he gave himself to the blade he succumbed to his baser instincts. They weren't his enemies but his prey. And he was the hunter. And the hunt was exhilarating.
He was manipulated, yes. But on a deeper level Raiden was more free on Dathomir than he had ever been before. At least that's what he thought. Now he has been set free from the shackles in his mind. Luminara had drove Talzins claws from his soul as she drove her magik from the Lightsaber.
He had thought to leave the weapon there on that dreadful planet. Or destroy it in the Mandalorian forge. But he could not. He had been healed as the Lightsaber had. But he would wear the scars of his ordeal for eternity. And he wouldn't have it any other way. For to forget would be to submit to Talzin. He will not forget. The blade would be a reminder of his suffering and preservation as would the scars.
And so he clipped the blade to his belt. He didn't think he would ever ignite it again as he shunned the Night-Mother with the action and embraced the Light. It was a symbol of a chapter in his life that he was finished with. He has been forever changed by it but would not let it destroy him. He smiled as he felt a presence in the Force and a hand rest on his shoulder. He didn't feel the weight of a hand but he felt the action. She approved.
It was an hour later that the Mandalorian ship jumped out of hyperspace. Raiden stood in his beskar armour. Forged himself on Dathomir and like all true Mandalorian armour it was painted with the blood of his enemies. A black robe reminiscent of the Jedi was draped over his armour hiding it from view as his ship was hailed from the planets surface.
"You request a docking at the Dukes estate?" A voice questioned from the holo-communicator
"I do." Raiden responded
"Your ship has no clearance for landing." The voice again responded
"Incorrect." Raiden responded as he input his Jedi clearance codes he remembered from years ago
"A Jedi? I'm very sorry sir. Would you give me a moment." The voice sounded shocked and then went silent for a few moments before returning.
"You are cleared for landing, please follow the docking beacon." The voice said much more respectful than at the beginning of the conversation.
"Will do." Raiden said, concise as ever.
The ship moved slowly under Raidens inexperience command but he made it to the docking bay nonetheless. He left the ship with his armour hidden from view but he left his Shoto Saber visible and it almost acted as a badge of identification. He was certainly Jedi of that they had no doubt.
He was met with the sight of eight armed guards. They had shock batons in one hand and a large plasma shield in the other. They had the classic Mandalorian armour and a blaster holstered to their belts. Their armour was coloured pristine white and dark blue and their visored helmets left their faces obscured from sight. The man they escorted was old, around sixty years Raiden guessed, but he held himself like a warrior in his prime, despite his thinning hair.
"Master Jedi, I am very sorry about any inconvenience in your landing, we heard nothing from the senate about an inquisition?" The elder was polite but it was clear he held no true respect or live for the Jedi never mind one so young.
"That is because I was not sent by the senate." Raidens face remained calm and his voice even, but his eyes relayed a warning, he was not to be trifled with lightly.
"Then what exactly are you doing here?" The man questioned, a certain harshness entering his voice but still remaining cordial for the most part.
"My Master and I suffered an ordeal at the hands of warriors in Mandalorian armour, she died." Raiden replied and rendered the man speechless
"You don't mean to imply that Duke Kryze was somehow responsible for such an act occurring?" The old man asked shocked and insulted
"Of course not, but I wish to speak with the Duke and wait for the Jedi to retrieve me." Raiden said and the situation calmed a little.
"Then I will escort you to Duke Kryze." He said before turning and walking away, Raiden following
The dome city was beautiful. The Dukes estate even more so. The lush greenery surrounding the tall imposing steel structures. It was a thin veil of peace covering the warrior culture. Eventually Raiden found himself entering the throne room. Adonai Kryze, the Duke of Mandalore sat upon his white throne, two young girls at his side and standing between the girls was an older woman.
"Master Jedi, I bid you welcome." He spoke calmly from his throne
"And your hospitality is greatly appreciated." Raiden answered with all the grace and politeness that Dooku insisted a Jedi should present.
"My name is Adonai Kryze, the Duke of Mandalore, these are my daughters Satine, and Bo-Katan. And this is my wife Elisif." The Duke introduced himself, his daughters and his wife.
"And I am Jedi Padawan Raiden Skywalker, it is a pleasure to meet you and your family." Raiden introduced himself continuing his polite tone.
"A Padawan without a Master? What exactly are you doing at my estate young Jedi." The Dukes tone remained even but Raiden could hear a tinge of suspicion.
"My Master was killed four years ago, not far from here by Mandalorian warriors and I was abducted." The Dukes face lost all emotion and his eyes turned steely.
"You think my Father was involved! How dare you!" The shout came from a young girl. Her fiery red hair matched the heat in her eyes and voice.
Her older sister placed a calming hand on her shoulder and her mother sent a glare her way, as if to say 'watch you tongue girl'. And it worked. She calmed slightly and instead stared angrily at the young Jedi Padawan in from of her.
"I am of the same mind as my daughter, do you believe I was involved?" The Duke asked after a few moments of silence.
"No, I have dealt with the conspirators myself." Raiden responded his voice cold and calculated.
He reached into his robes and grabbed a handful of tags. He tossed the tags to the throne, causing the guards to place hands on their weapons. The Duke caught the tags and began inspecting the names before he suddenly stopped and stared at one in particular. Torrig Vizsla. An old friend.
"This man was my friend, a long time ago." The Duke announced
"Did he die well?" The Duke asked softly
"No, he died before he knew I was there, it was him that killed my Master, I regret nothing." The guards tensed waiting for their Dukes orders and Raidens hand found his Lightsaber hilt in his robes.
"He was always troublesome, we agreed on much, and disagreed on even more, we even agreed on our love." The Duke said before looking to his wife who bore a conflicted look.
"He didn't approve of my marrying his love, disproved so much he tried to challenge me for her hand, he was banished years ago, and it was only a matter of time he got himself into something he couldn't get out of." Raiden was surprised by the tone in his voice, he sounded more tired than he did angry
"We have contacted the Jedi and informed them of your arrival, the closest Jedi Master has been dispatched to bring you back to the Corascant." The Duke said, much more civilly than Raiden had expected.
"I must thank you Duke Kryze, and I am sorry about your friend." Raiden said to the older man but only one of the statements were true.
"My daughters will escort you to a room, you can rest there." The Duke said before gesturing towards his daughters. Raiden said nothing but bowed in thanks.
Satine and Bo-Katan lead Raiden through the estate. It was as graceful as any villa on Coruscant, yet as fortified as you would expect of a Mandalorian home. It was a shiny exterior draped over a fortress. It was also a great relief for Raiden. He had lived in caves for years now and a nights rest in a soft bed would be much appreciated. The two sisters lead him to his room, not far from the families living quarters.
"So Master Jedi, these are your rooms." Satine said politely while Bo-Katan looked out the window with a bored look.
"I thank you My Lady for your hospitality, though I don't think I've properly introduced myself, I am Jedi Padawan Raiden Skywalker." Raiden said bowing to her in greeting.
"I am Lady Satine Kryze, and this is Bo-Katan Kryze, the much less ladylike sister." Satine introduced herself with the most infectious laugh Raiden had heard. Though her sister didn't seem to appreciate the comments as she scoffed from where she stood by the balcony, jetpack on her back.
"So what do you Jedi do for fun?" The brash red head asked changing the subject, and Raiden got the feeling she was teased often by her sister.
"Train mostly, I would wait all day for Lightsaber training, I never felt so free as when it was just me and my opponent." A small smile stretched onto Raidens face but he remembered the familiar weight of his Crossguard Saber and the smile died, he took his saber and stared at it for a moment before placing it on a small table that stood nearby.
"But it's been many years since I've duelled for fun, and I've killed far to much for one so young." A conflicted look passed behind Raidens eyes and Satine seemed to catch the change in his emotions, Bo-Katan however did not.
"Our entire life we are dying, death is but its end, we shouldn't fear it. That's what the Mandalorian Commandos taught me anyway." She said and even if she didn't mean to her care free way of speaking seemed to raise Raidens mood.
"And what are these Commandos?" Raiden asked, and he was genuinely curious wanting to know more about the culture, he had after all taken their fighting style.
"They're something like an army, but much fewer in number, in fact our lack of investment into military seems to be a point of contention with many Clans under my fathers rule." Satine responded as she opened the door to the balcony and took a seat, Raiden and her sister following suit.
"Satine didn't want to join, to afraid of a little blood, but not me, I'm going to join as soon as I have my first hunt." Bo-Katan boasted proudly as if Raiden should understand what she meant, however he did not.
"Your first hunt?" Raiden asked confused by what she meant.
"I forgot your kit from here, when a Mandalorian warrior comes of age they can take a hunt, they defeat a great beast and take it as their signet." Bo-Katan said, proud of her people and their customs.
"I suppose my signet would be a Rancor then." Raiden mused to himself as he was so used to doing, it had been a while since he had been in pleasant company.
"You've killed a Rancor!" Satine asked shocked and amazed, Bo-Katan said nothing as she was lost for words.
"Yes, my first was three years ago, I was six." Raiden said after thinking to himself for a moment, he became concerned when the girls didn't say anything for a minute, just stared at him in awe.
"YOUR NINE!!!!" Bo-Katan questioned shocked and confused.
"But…..but your so big...and you killed a group of Mandolorian warriors…..and you've killed a Rancor." Satine began listing all the things he's accomplished and that's when it occurred to Raiden, maybe his strange life would be a shock to more normal people.
"Let's forget about all that, what age are you?" Raiden asked trying to clear the air of the tension.
"I'm thirteen, Satine is fifteen." Bo-Katan answered while Satine just stared off stunned
"So I told you what I do for fun, now you tell me?" Raiden asked the two sisters but it was Bo-Katan that answered
"Well Satine doesn't have fun." Bo-Katan began before her sister interrupted
"HEY!!!" Satine cried in disagreement but her sister didn't seem to care as she continued on
"But I like to run through the city, jumping from the skyscrapers, running through the allies, hiding from my Fathers guards." Bo-katan got a soft look in her eyes as she thought about her escapades in the city and Raiden found her eyes beautiful in that moment.
"I can only imagine what it's like doing that in Coruscant, have you ever done it?" She asked and Raiden had to fight a blush when he realised he had been staring, luckily Bo-Karan hadn't realised, but judging by the smirk on her face, Satine had.
"No I haven't." Raiden answered
"Would you like to?" The excitement in her eyes as she asked almost made him say yes
"You should stay in the estate and wait for your Jedi escort, the Jedi aren't exactly popular on Mandalore, and from what I've overheard from Father, there are those who would like to see the Kryze family in pain." Satine said and the last part of the statement was directed towards her sister.
"But Master Jedi, if there are people who would do me harm out there, wouldn't you be obligated to protect me?" Her eyes were wide and innocent as a new born Ewok but her smirk was anything but and sarcasm was evident in her voice.
"Bo, don't do anything reckless." Her sister warned but she didn't seem to listen as she jumped from the balcony.
"I'm sorry, but your sister is right, as a Jedi it would be against everything I stand for to let her go alone, especially if what you say is true." Raiden said to the, clearly, more responsible sister.
"I have a feeling I can't convince you otherwise, bring my sister home in one piece, and be safe, I'd hate to lose a new friend." She said a tired look on her face and she marched from the room to get her father and Raiden leapt from the balcony to muttering of 'troublesome girl'.
Aided by the Force Raiden was able to keep pace with the Mandalorian girl. She was quick and knew the city well. Raiden used the force to make large leaps from building to building, surely such a fall would mean his death but he felt no fear, he had been in worse situations, and Bo-Katan was right, it was fun.
A huge smile stretched across his face as he finally caught up to her. He landed on a landing pad we're he saw her land. But it was empty. She wasn't here! Where did she go. Panic filled him as he searched frantically, he searched his feelings but that only filled him with more worry as all he found was a sense of. A sharp pain in his stomach, a dart, then two more. Then blackness.
—————————————————————————
Raiden was roused from his slumber by the sounds of a ship flying through the city. He cracked his eyes to the dim light from overhead. He remained still as he inspected his surroundings. His thoughts and actions felt sluggish and he knew it was somehow connected to the darts from before.
He attempted to sense his surroundings with the force but was assaulted by senses in return for his actions. For a moment he thought he had lost his connection to the force but it was not so. He pretended to still be unconscious as he spent a moment pondering what had been done to him. It wasn't that his connection to the force had been severed but that what ever he was injected with had made him sluggish and affected his mind. To do anything with the force, except wild pushes, requires an immense amount of focus. So he could not use the force to do complex techniques but his connection remained.
Now unburdened by the thought of being separated from the force Raiden continued examining his surroundings. He was on a ship, he sat on a bench, his hands were bound and a Mandalorian stood near him. Opposite him was Bo-Katan, she was asleep it seemed, her hands were also bound in cuffs and another Mandalorian warrior stood beside her.
Raiden then inspected himself and what he could use to escape. His Lightsaber and Blaster were gone, but they left him with his armour, strange he thought as they were Mandalorians themselves though maybe they didn't expect a Jedi to use their own tricks. He couldn't see his Lightsaber anywhere but his blaster was holstered to the belt of the Mandalorian beside him. He thought back to the Crossguard saber that still remained in his room where he left it.
"He awake!!!" Shouted the Mandalorian beside Bo-Katan.
The Mandalorian beside Bo-Katan had blue highlights in his armour, 'Blue' Raiden named him in his head. Hearing the call the Mandalorian beside Raiden left to get a syringe, with more of the poison Raiden was sure. Knowing his cover was blown Raiden began to pull at his handcuffs, trying to break them.
"How the force is he awake, that much toxin would put a wookie out for an hour!" The Mandalorian with the syringe exclaimed, as Raiden got a closer look at the Mandalorian he saw the dark grey patches on his armour, 'Grey' Raiden would call him.
Raiden had been enhanced greatly by the rituals on Dathomir, resistance to poison was only another side effect. 'Grey' plunged the syringe into Raidens arm, the toxin entered his blood stream and he felt the effects immediately. The world spun and his vision became blurry. But he was a Jedi, he survived the Witches of Dathomir, he would not be beaten by Mandalorian mercenaries.
Raiden was fighting off the toxins, but if he was not he might have noticed Bo-Katan waking due to the commotion. Using his unnatural strength tore his handcuffs. 'Blue' rose from his seat and grabbed his blaster, 'Grey' didn't have the time to. A bright flash came from Raidens gauntlet staggering 'Grey' and 'Blue'. Raiden uses this distraction to grab his blaster from 'Grey'. Still stunned by the flash 'Grey' didn't defend himself as Raiden placed his blaster underneath his unprotected chin and pulled the trigger.
Turning his blaster on 'Blue' Raiden fired yet again. The toxins began to take hold and his sim was clumsy but even though his aim wasn't up to standard he still hit more than he missed. Blaster bolt after blaster bolt slammed against his blue armour, not even leaving a scratch on the beskar but Raiden did hit the blaster rifle in his hands, destroying the repeating rifle.
A blaster bolt hit Raiden on the shoulder alerting him to the new arrivals. Four more Mandalorians had arrived. It was a short woman who had fired upon him, she held a rifle in her hands and wore armour with green highlights. 'Green' Raiden named her. Next was a large muscular man, evident even under his black and purple armour. 'Purple' as Raiden named him had no blaster but held a shock baton in his hands.
The other two Mandalorians stood behind 'Green' and 'Purple'. 'Yellow' was a short and somewhat skinny man who had a yellow hand print on his helmet and he held a blaster in his hands. 'Red' was a tall woman who wore dark red armour and had a blaster pistol in her hand and another holstered on her belt.
As soon as Raiden realised that more Mandalorians had come he acted. Forgetting about 'Blue' for a moment he moved to protect himself from these more pressing concerns. With his blaster in on hand Raiden grabbed 'Grey' by the arm and lifted him up. Blaster fire rained down on him but none did any damage as it dissipated against his beskar clad shield.
A panel in Raidens shoulder armour opened and four small dart like weapons flew out. The whistling birds flew towards the four Mandalorians. Two went for 'Purple' one hit him in the chest, doing no damage, another missed and hit the panel behind him, locking the doors to the compartment. One hit 'Yellow' in his helmet causing him to stumble backwards but ultimately leaving him unharmed. The final shot straight through 'Green's neck causing her to drop dead.
The sound of metal clanging against the ground as 'Green' fell is what alerted Raiden of his chance to strike. A red glow began to build up at the top of his blaster barrel and with a wild force push, substituting control for pure unrefined power, Raiden sent 'Grey' his human shield towards 'Blue'. Now the Mandalorian was stuck beneath his dead friend as Raiden pointed his blaster at 'Yellow'. The charged shot carried much more power than a regular blast and acted for like a thermal charge than a blaster bolt. Hitting him in the collar bone 'Yellow's arm was bent in unnatural ways and his helmet was blown of his, now destroyed face. There was no doubt in Raidens mind that 'Yellow' had died.
With a jab of his hand a disk blade launched from Raidens gauntlet, spinning towards 'Red'. The disk might have killed a less experienced warrior but Raiden could tell by the way she held herself she was anything but inexperienced. With a swipe of her hand 'Red' sent the blade to the side, leaving her unharmed by the attack.
'Purple' was fast approaching, shock baton in his hand, and 'Red' was now attempting to flank him. Raiden had to act. With another jab of his fist Raiden shit another gadget towards 'Red' hoping to eliminate the threat before he engaged with 'Purple'. A piece of fibre cord shot from his gauntlet spinning at 'Red' and catching her legs at the ankles. She fell to the ground with a crash and her blaster tumbled from her grasp.
His senses dulled and his ability to use the force severely weakened Raiden was unprepared for the strike he received from behind. 'Purple' slammed his shock baton into Raidens lower back, left unprotected by his beskar armour. The bolts of electricity surged through his being reminding him of what Talzin would subject him to during their training sessions, but not nearly as painful as the Night-Mothers magik.
A short Vibroknife sprung from his gauntlet as he spun, ignoring the pain that coursed through his body. Raiden sent a wild slash towards his opponent, sparks ignited in the air as the blade struck beskar armour. With a spin of his blaster Raiden held the weapon by the barrel. He stabbed forwards with his Vibroknife, the strike was dodged by 'Purple'. Raiden then hastily followed the attack with a strike of his blaster. The durasteel grip of the blaster crashed against the Mandalorians helmet sending him to one knee.
'Purple' was a wall of muscle and didn't stay down for long. Still on one knee he jabbed the shock baton into Raidens stomach. Fighting through the pain Raiden raised his arm and pointed it towards his opponent. The Vibroknife launched from his gauntlet, piercing the Mandalorian warrior in the shoulder. With an animalistic roar of pain and anger 'Purple' swung his shock baton into Raidens side making him fall, from both the strength behind the swing and the electricity from the weapon.
Raiden rolled on to his front and tried to push himself to his feet. He made it to his hands and knees before a metal boot connected with his stomach. Sending him back to the floor, lying on his back with 'Purple' standing over him, baton in hand. Raiden felt the toxins subside slightly. He knew force abilities such as tutaminis or force lightning would be out of reach but his ability to sense the motions of his opponents and to control his for telekinesis had returned slightly.
Still holding his blaster by the barrel Raiden did what 'Purple' never would have expected. When he swung the baton down at the young Jedi Padawan, he surged upwards, meeting the shock baton head on. Grabbing the baton with this free hand he pushed it out of the way. Electricity surged up his arm but Raiden ignored it as he slammed his blaster into 'Purple's helmet yet again. This time however he used the force to enhance the strike, instead of sending him to his knees he sent him to the floor with a metallic crash.
With a spin of his blaster Raidne now he'll the weapon by the grip and began charging a thermal blast. As the red glow began to build at the top of the barrel Raiden took aim. As he prepared to pull the trigger he suddenly felt a warning through the force but he acted to late. 'Red' shot three lasers were at Raiden from behind. The first hit his armoured shoulder, jolting him foreword, the second missed entirely and the third barely hit his lower back.
While it only barely hit his unprotected back that didn't lessen the pain at all. Blinded by pain his charged blast missed entirely, blasting into the side of the ship. The blast burst a pipe of some kind and white steam shot out hitting Raiden in the face, blinding him. 'Purple' capitalised on his distraction by swinging his shock baton twice. The first hit his blaster out of his hand, then he jabbed the weapon into his collar, right where his shoulder guard meets his body armour.
'Purple' reached out his armoured hand to grasp Raiden by the shoulder and pulled him down beside him. As the battle continued Raidens ability to sense with the force continued to return to him and so as the Mandalorian smashed his beskar helmet into Riadens face it marked a turn in the battle. A turn in his favour.
Raiden grasped the shaft of the baton and using his immense strength began pulling it from his grasp. 'Purple' threw a punch at Raidens face but he remained determined. I'm response to the punch Raiden slammed his elbow into the Mandalorians shoulder, still wounded by his gauntlet knife. The pain caused him to let go of the shock baton.
With his force sense coming back to him Raiden felt the blast before 'Red' even pulled the trigger to her weapon. Placing his arm around 'Purple's neck Raidem swerved out of the way of the laser and forced the Mandalorians head directly into its path. The baskar shielded him from any damage, but a less experienced warrior would have been dazed. 'Purple' was not.
Grabbing a Vibroknife from his belt he plunged it into Raidens stomach. He had sensed the action in the force but was unable to dodge at all as the blade sunk into his side. Gasping in pain Raiden almost let the shock baton fall from his hands but through pure willpower was able to overcome the pain. 'Purple' threw Raiden off him and tried to make it to his feet but before he was even able to get to his knees Raiden struck.
Pulling 'Purple' back to the ground he bag an using the baton to choke the large Mandalorian. 'Red' began firing upon them both. Her lasers did no damage however, as Raiden used 'Purple's beskar clad body as a shield. The blaster fire stopped when 'Purple' stoped struggling. Then he stopped breathing. Raiden used her momentary lapse due to grief to his advantage, throwing the shock baton at her nocking her blaster out of her hands.
Raiden took a moment to survey his surroundings. 'Blue' had made it to his feet and was approaching Bo-Katan. Bo herself was huddled against the wall, with a wide eyed look, filled with fear and awe. For all her talk earlier she was still just a thirteen year old girl. The door on the other end of the room that, had been damaged by his whistling birds, was now the only thing keeping two more Mandalorians from him.
Raidem spent a moment to long analysing the room and he was broke from his trance by 'Red'. A fibre cord sprung from her gauntlet and wrapped around his neck. She began pulling him back towards her, choking him as she did so. He struggled as he was dragged along the floor. Kicking his legs and trying to tear the cord around his neck, but to no avail. However Raiden hit a spot of luck as he was dragged passed his blaster where he dropped it a few minutes ago. grabbing the blaster he held it behind his head and started firing wildly.
His luck however didn't last as 'Blue' who now stood beside Bo-Katan used his own grappling hook on the blaster. The blaster sailed through the air and Bo-Katan watched, knowing that if she did nothing it would likely result in Raidens death. Something she wouldn't allow. How could she call herself Mandalorian, how could she call herself a warrior.
Mustering her courage she jumped, grabbing the blaster, with her still bound hands she turned it on 'Blue'. She shit him in the head repeatedly, but sadly the beskar armour protected him. Sorrow filled her as she realised she could not beat him. But she would help Raiden at the very least. Turning her gaze towards 'Red' she fired.
Black spots began appearing in Raidens vision as his lungs were deprived of oxygen. Until suddenly a red flash drove the darkness from him. He looked over to Bo-Katan. She lay on the ground, bleeding from the side of her head, a cut above her eye. Beside her stood 'Blue' and beneath his feet was the crushed remains of his blaster.
'Red' held her leg, where she was hit by a blaster bolt. As she was distracted Raiden struck. Pulling the Vibroknife from his stomach he used it to sever the fibre cord. Gasping for breath he stabbed the blade into her leg. As she cried out in pain he lunged at her, pushing her head into wall, before placing his hand on the back of her head. With unnatural strength he slammed her head down into the bench.
The bench was destroyed by the power and strength of Raiden and as He turned her over to finish the job he saw the large piece of metal lodged into her torso. 'Red' wouldn't live and she knew that. But she would be avenged. Raising her arm she sent a torrent of fire towards him. But his ability to control the force had been steadily returning over the course of the fight and so all it took was a hand gesture for the fire to be turned back on her.
Grabbing the shock baton at his feet he turned to 'Blue' who stood over Bo-Katan still. The Mandalorian warrior was blinded by rage and didn't notice Raiden charging. Raiden was also blinded, not by rage but by pain. He was bleeding from his wound in his stomach, he had bruising around his neck, a blaster shot to his side and he still had small twitches from being subjected to shock baton.
And so as he fought through the pain and charged 'Blue' he didn't notice the door opening on the other side of the room, or the two Mandalorians entering. Shock baton in hand Raiden tackled 'Blue'. The Mandalorian threw a Vibroknife at Raiden but it was bat away with the force. Placing a knee on his chest Raiden stopped him from rising and placed his shock baton at his neck, the electricity fried his brain in a moment before he was dead.
"Bo...…are you alright?" Raiden asked as he grunted in pain.
"I...…" she began but just stared at him terrified.
"Raiden." She whispered before her eyes caught movement behind him.
"LOOK OUT!!!" She warned him but she was too late
The more darts injected him with the toxins. The shock baton fell from grasp as he stumbled backwards. Soon he was unable to stand and he fell too his knees. Blackness filled the edges of his vision. But he could still make out some of the things around him. He could see a man, in beskar armour and white markings of some beast decorating it. He held a strange rifle that shoots darts and he had a blaster hostess's in his waist. He remembered that there was another Mandalorian but he couldn't see her, not impaired as he was. Another wave of dizziness hit him suddenly but it was driven away by the shout of Bo-Katan.
"Behind you Raiden!!!" She shouted and he turned around, trusting her.
A white Lightsaber blade slashed at him. This Mandalorian woman was using his own blade against him. He moved slowly but was still able to block the first strike with his gauntlet. Swinging wildly he tried to hit her, but the toxins had taken hold, there was no contact as she sidestepped the lazy swing and countered with a slash of her own. But she did make contact with this right arm. And suddenly Raiden was down a limb.
(It's a Star Wars fanfic I had to)
Pain surged through his body, and from his body radiated pure power, the power tore his armour from his body. Anger and pain flowed from his eyes as they glowed pure white. They bore into the soul of the Mandalorian as he gestured violently with his remaining arm. Making a fist with his hand he began crushing the beskar armour that protected her. It became her tomb as the armour closed in on itself it it crushed her inside, but it also destroyed the lightsaber in her hand. His lightsaber.
Fear was palpable in the air as the final Mandalorian watched from where he stood beside Bo-Katan. He raised his arm and sent forward a storm of flame. The fire singed the end of his shoulder length hair, and burned along the stump of his remaining arm. Once the fire subsided it showed the charred floor but the mostly untouched Raiden.
His glowing white eyes stared at the final Mandalorian. He held a blaster to Bo-Katans head but his hand was shaking with fear as he looked at the absolute monster in front of him. Raiden gestured with his hand. The gesture altered his mind, convincing him to follow his words.
"Take of your helmet." Raidens words echoed with power and with shaky hands the Mandalorian complied, not of his own volition
"Kill your self." Again he commanded with a gesture of his hand and he had no choice but to follow.
Bo-Katan shook in fear as the man who held her life in his hands just a moment ago took of his helmet, placed his blaster to his head, and pulled the trigger. The man fell, lifeless. Raiden fell soon after, overwhelmed by the pain surging through his body. Bo-Katan ram to him. His abilities scared her that's true, but as she saw his downed form she couldn't care. He saved her.
For that she was thankful.
—————————————————————————
That was the longest chapter I've ever writen, over 6000 words.
Bo is the love interest but that might change
It's a Star Wars fanfic and he's a Skywalker, it would just be wrong for him to make it to chapter ten with both his arms
He will get a new arm packed full of Mandalorian gadgets
Hope you enjoyed
