Chapter Two: A Secret Revealed!
Jaune Arc, now seventeen years old, blinked as he read the letter in front of him. This has got to be joke! His blue eyes scanned through the letter, going over the contents of it again.
After confirming that it was indeed not a joke, he grew angry, shocked, fearful, and worried. Mostly anger. His whole began to shake in anger as he crumbled the paper and slammed it into table.
"This is complete bullshit!" Jaune yelled at the top of his lungs. He started to breath heavily as he tried to reign in his temper.
"Um…Jaune are you okay?" Jaune blinked and snapped of of his anger as he saw Ruby Rose and the others look at him in confusion. When did they get here? Suddenly, Jaune realized he was in the cafeteria, meaning that everyone had heard his outburst. He looked to see that all of the students there were giving him looks.
Jaune gave out a weak embarrassed chuckled before apologizing to everyone.
"Sorry about that Ruby, um…something came up that I had to take care of." Jaune said.
"Do you need any help Jaune?" His partner, Pyrrha Nikos, asked.
"No, no. I care take of it." Jaune stood up. "If you excuse me I have a call to make." With that Jaune left the cafeteria, not knowing he left behind the letter.
Once Jaune had left, Yang was the first to speak. "Well that was weird. I wonder what made Vomit Boy act like that?" The blonde brawler asked.
"Whatever it was, it sure seems like it bothered him greatly." Blake added in before continuing to read her book.
"Maybe his family got kidnapped and that Fearless Leader has to pay the kidnappers ransom!" Nora exclaimed. This earned deadpan looks from everyone at the table.
"Nora, I'm pretty sure that's not the case." Ren said.
"Whatever, it may be it's Arc's problem to deal with." Weiss said, not caring about Jaune's little problem.
Ruby frowned at Weiss's lack of consideration. "Don't be mean Weiss. If it was serious then Jaune could use some help." The red reaper told her teammate.
Meanwhile, Pyrrha noticed that Jaune left behind the crumbled up letter that made him angry earlier. Curious, she picked it up and uncrumbled it and began to read the letter. Upon finishing it, her emerald eyes widened. She then turned to her friends.
"Guys look!"
Everyone turned to see Pyrrha sliding the letter in the middle of the table. They all leaned in to read the letter and were shocked to find out what was in it.
It read.
Dear Jaune,
I know this is unexpected but please understand. It seems that Naruto snuck out of the house last night.
At first we thought he went to sleep in the treehouse you two had made but found out that wasn't the case. Once we searched his room, we found out that Naruto took his Gama-chan with him. There was also a receipt for a bullhead ticket.
We don't know where he went and we're trying our best to find him. I know you'll probably be mad right now but rest assured we will find him. And we will bring him home safely, so have nothing to worry about, Big Bro.
Your sister, Bleue Arc.
Upon reading the contents they now realized why Jaune made his outburst earlier.
"That's why Fearless Leader was mad. His little brother is missing!" Nora said. Believing what she said earlier was true.
"Yeah, oh man Jaune must be freaking out right now." Ruby said.
"I know I would." Yang added. She would've acted the same way if Ruby had gone missing while she was away.
"Jaune needs our help!" Pyrrha stated as she ran out of the cafeteria to look for her leader/crush.
"I'm coming too!" Nora exclaimed before running after the spartan.
"Nora wait up! Don't go so fast." Ren got up and followed his partner.
"You heard them, team RWBY let's go!" Ruby ordered as she, Yang, and Blake ran out of the cafeteria. Intending to help out as much as they can.
Weiss lagged behind for a bit before sighing. This was going to be a long day. She then got up and followed her team and sister team out of the cafeteria.
Bullhead Station
A bullhead landed onto the stop of Beacon Academy. The doors open up to reveal a small five year old child with blonde spikey hair, blue eyes, and three whisker marks on each cheek. He wore a white shirt with the Arc symbol on the front, orange shorts that reached his knees, orange sneakers, and a large orange backpack that was too big for him. Clipped to his shorts was a bloated green frog wallet.
This was Naruto Arc, the child that Jaune took in five years ago.
Naruto smiled, he was finally here! Now he can go look for his papa! He quickly turned around before getting off.
"Thanks for the ride mister!" Naruto thanked the pilot, who waved back at the boy. Once Naruto was off, the Bullhead flew away.
Naruto looked around in order to find signs of his papa. He then spotted Beacon castle off in the distance.
"Woah! That's where Papa's staying at, it's huge!" Naruto's eyes sparkled in awe. With determination, he ran towards the large castle. Upon getting closer to the castle, he noted that it was bigger that he realized. "Aw man, this place is so big! How am I going to find Papa in this place." Naruto whined.
He then noticed a yellow tail hanging out from one of the nearby trees. Naruto walked to see who was inside of the tree. He looked up to see Sun Wukong, sleeping on one of the branches. A snot bubble was coming out of his nose.
Naruto hummed to himself, thinking this guy could help him find his Papa. But how was he going to wake this guy up? He then snapped his fingers as he got an idea. Bending down, Naruto picked up one of the nearby rocks. He lifted it up and down to see if it was heavy enough. After confirming that it was indeed heavy, Naruto winded up his little arm and threw it at Sun's head.
The sudden impact jolted Sun awake, but it also made him lose balance on branch he was sleeping on.
"Wha? Woah, woah!" The monkey faunus fell onto the ground hard, landing on a couple bushes. Naruto smiled, unfazed by the fact he threw a rock at someone's head, now this person can help him find his papa.
Sun came out of the bushes as he held his aching head. "Ow, what hit me?"
"A rock." Sun looked up to see a small child staring at him.
"A rock? Wait, did you threw a rock at me when I was sleeping?" Sun narrowed his eyes. The boy nodded his head with a big goofy smile. "Can I ask why?"
Naruto held a finger up, telling Sun to wait just a second. He took off his backpack and began rummaging through it, all the while Sun was rubbing his forehead. Eventually, Naruto found what he was looking for and pulled out a picture. He showed it to Sun, who saw the Jaune guy that Blake sometimes hangs out with with Naruto in his arms.
"Oh, you're looking for Jaune?" Naruto's smile grew bigger. This man knew his Papa!
"Yeah, can you help me find him?" Sun raised an eyebrow at this. This kid threw a rock at him and expected him to help?
"What's in it for me?" Sun asked.
Naruto reached back into his backpack and pulled out some banana bread.
"Some delicious banana bread my Nana made." Naruto offered as he handed Sun the bread. A smile adorned his face as Sun beamed at the sight of the pastry.
"Deal!" Sun agreed as he took the bread.
"Yes!" Naruto cheered as he and Sun went off to go look for Jaune.
After, the two had left, a blue haired boy showed with two drinks in his hand. This was Neptune, Sun's partner. "Hey Sun! I got that banana smoothie you wanted." Neptune called. However, as soon as Neptune looked up, he saw that his leader was no longer there. "Huh? Great now where did he go."
Neptune began to wander around hoping to find his friend.
Miss Goodwitch's Classroom
"I told you to watch over Naruto and to never lose sight of him while I was gone!" Jaune yelled into his scroll. He waited for the person on the other side of the call to respond. Some mumbling could be heard. "I don't care if you're my mother! You had one job and you failed horribly!" Angry mumbling was heard. "I swear to Oum if anything happens to him, I'm going to-"
BOOM!
"JAUNE!" "FEARLESS LEADER!"
Jaune saw his team and team RWBY bust into the classroom with great force. He was slightly taken aback but quickly shook out of it.
"I'll call you back." Jaune hung up, not bothering to listen to the angry rants of his mother. "Um, what are guys doing?" Jaune asked in confusion.
After they all straightened themselves, Pyrrha stepped forward and answered. Pulling out the letter Jaune left behind. "Jaune, I...we came here because we want to help you find Naruto." Pyrrha said.
"Oh, oh wow. Thanks guys." Jaune said, sincerely. He was genuinely glad that his friends offered to help. Though, he didn't know how to explain the whole situation to him.
"Don't worry Jaune! Together, we'll find your little brother and bring him home safely!" Ruby proclaimed as she stepped. Everyone else nodded in agreement.
Jaune blinked, brother? Jaune didn't have a brother. He suddenly remembers that the letter didn't mention what his relationship with Naruto really was.
Rubbing the back of his head, Jaune said. "Um guys, I don't have a brother."
Now it was their turn to blink in confusion.
"Um, what?" Ruby asked.
"I said I don't have a brother." Jaune repeated.
Yang stepped forward, taking the letter from Pyrrha. "But the letter here says that Naruto is missing." She explained.
"Yeah, I know what the letter says but it never stated that Naruto was my brother." Jaune clarified the contents of that letter. Yang blinked before going over the letter again to see if it was true.
"Wait, if you don't have a brother, then who's Naruto?" Ren asked his surrogate brother. He and the rest were now confused about the situation and wanted to know what Jaune meant.
Before Jaune could open his mouth to speak a loud crash caught their attention. They spotted Sun entering through a window he had broken.
"Here we are! Right where Jaune is at!" Sun loudly proclaimed proudly. Naruto was seen clinging to his back.
"You said that two rooms ago." Naruto remarked as he got down from Sun's back.
"Eh, third times the charm." Sun said, nonchalantly. Naruto simply shakes his head at that, this guy was weird.
"Naruto!" Naruto turned his head to the one who called his name. Instantly, he beamed as he saw Jaune run up to him. With a toothy smile and childish laugh, Naruto ran to Jaune. What he shouted, made everyone drop their jaws. "Papa!"
"Papa?!" Everyone exclaimed. This kid that showed up with Sun called Jaune 'Papa'? They tried to register the words but found themselves unable to comprehend.
Jaune wrapped Naruto in his arms, bringing him into a tight hug. Naruto meanwhile, laughed gleefully as he wrapped around his Papa's neck. Jaune lifted Naruto up and gave him a stern and concerned look.
"Naruto, what are you doing here? Do you know how worried everyone was when they couldn't find you?" Jaune asked.
Naruto deflated a bit as his lips slightly quivered. "I just wanted to see you." He said, quietly.
Jaune looked a bit stunned before giving Naruto a small smile. He placed a kiss on top of Naruto's forehead. "It's alright Naruto, you're not in trouble. Just for now on, let me, Nana or Jiji know where you go."
Naruto nodded his head at that. "Hai." He then noticed a group of colorful people looking at them. He blinked before turning to Jaune. "Papa, who are they?" Jaune turned to see that Naruto was gesturing to his friends. All of which were still stunned over the 'Papa' bit.
"Oh, where are my manners!" Jaune faced his friends with a big goofy smile. "Naruto these are my friends; Ruby, Weiss, Blake, Yang, Nora, Pyrrha, and Ren." He introduced.
"Hi." Naruto gave the stunned group a small wave.
"Everyone, this is Naruto. My son." Jaune proudly states.
"Son?!" Everyone shouted. Causing Jaune, Naruto, and Sun to cover their ears.
"They're loud." Naruto remarked.
"Ahuh." Jaune said.
"Yup." Sun butted in.
"Oh hey, Sun." Jaune looked and greeted the monkey faunus. Forgetting that he was here.
"Hey." Sun greeted back at Jaune.
Pyrrha stood still, completely still. Then without warning she fainted. The others soon followed suit.
Jaune, Naruto, and Sun looked down at the unconscious group.
"They're weird." Naruto said.
