"Rest well, young soul?"
"Yaaaa!" I stood, ready to fight.
There, in front of me, was a short face who seemed to be floating on a beard of cloud...I believe he had wings?
"Huh?"
"Hello. Queen Jaydes told me all about you, King Olly Shokunin."
I looked at my hands. I had reversed back to the way I looked before, when I was first folded.
The area I was in seemed to made of solid cloud. It was blindingly bright.
"Hello...where am I?"
He started walking off without me. I flew after him.
"Who are you? How do you know Queen Jaydes?"
"I am King Grambi. We are husband and wife. We have a daughter named Lubvi. I'm so proud of her..."
"Um...good for you?"
"Sorry, I was talking to myself." He sped up a slight bit.
"Sorry if I embarrassed you, your Majesty"
He led me to what looked like the square. The clouds were still very bright. I had to squint.
"You made it to the Overthere."
"I made it where?"
"The Overthere. You know, the place you wanted to go to since you died?"
"No. NO! I can't be dead! Not now! Dimentio he could still be-"
"He has been dealt with, King Olly."
"Q-Queen Jaydes!"
"You showed him mercy. He accepted your offer and is now weakened. Your friend, Olive, is in charge now," she explained.
"But..." The water returned. I tried to clean off my face, but failed. "B-but...Olivia!"
They watched as I fell to my knees.
"I want my sister! Waaaa!"
They looked at each other.
"King Olly-"
"Waahaahaa!" I sniffed.
"Fine...Fine!"
I wiped my eyes again.
"King Olly!"
I looked up at her. "My...my apologizes..."
"You can return." She turned her head away from me. "But only because I feel bad for you."
"R...really?" I got back up. "I can go back?!"
"Die one more time and that will change, however. No matter if you decide to guilt-trip me or not."
"One last thing, Jaydes." King Grambi and Queen Jaydes turned around and started discussing something.
I sat down with my legs out in front of me. I wonder if Olivia is okay...she was devastated when I had fallen last time...what about father?
"King Olly, we want you to bring somebody else with you."
"Hm? Who might it be?"
"A bob-om your sister has grown quite attached to."
"Oh...I crushed Olivia and then he..."
King Grambi nodded. "I think he's fine now, seeing as far as you've come."
Small sparkly orbs of light gathered around me. Queen Jaydes came over to me, and leaned down to my level.
"Could you tell Mario that I said hello?"
"Um...an odd request but...sure! I'll let him know."
Everything went bright for a moment, forcing me to close my eyes and block them with my hands. When I reopened them, I was lying in Olivia's lap.
She didn't notice I was alive yet, so I took advantage of the situation.
"I don't think he's coming back..."
"You'll never know," Daisy responded. "He came back before." She shrugged.
"Gonna kiss your sleeping beauty?"
"Huh?!" She whipped her head to face me. "Olly?!"
I smiled at her. "Hey-"
She shoved me off. "You're so mean! I thought you were dead!"
"Well, yes. But actually no..." I tapped my hands together. "Oh, look at that. I'm tiny again! Wait..."
"Olly!" Olivia wrapped her arms around me.
"What is this?"
"Just go with it," Daisy said.
I looked at my hands, then returned the strange gesture of affection.
"Olly? You're crying..."
"So that's what this is? I can't believe I cried in front of Queen Jaydes..."
"Who...?"
"Oh, that reminds me." I wiped off my face again. "Queen Jaydes says hello, Mario!"
"What the heck where you-a doing to have such a good relationship with-a her?!" He said quickly.
"Dying. Repeatedly. By Dimentio. Oh wait."
I floated over to Super DimentOlive, who was still lying on the ground unconscious.
"What exactly are you?" I knelt down and lifted up his face. A line of the black liquid had come from the mouth on the mask and ran down his face. Is his mask his face? Did I rip off his face?! Oh, valley folds. He better still be alive...
He blinked one eye at a time. "Olmivba? Olwee?"
"Oh. I thought you died! Hi, Dimentio!"
"I think you brother lost his marbles..." Daisy muttered.
"Dimimee?"
"Are you alright?"
"I need ta go to de hopistel..."
"Are you alright, Olly? You kind of broke your arm there..." Peach questioned.
I looked at my left arm. I still couldn't move it.
"How can I break my arm if I have no bones to break?"
Peach opened her mouth, then shut it again. She had a distant look in her eyes, as if confused on how to answer.
"Alright, let's get you two to the Hospital." Daisy walked off, then returned with some sort of electronic...box on wheels? "In the kart, let's go."
"Hey, Olive. I'm sorry for everything that happened."
He blinked one eye at a time again. "No probom, Olwee."
"You seem to be saying things incorrectly. Are you doing well?"
"I may hab bokem a few bomes!" He started coughing up black again.
I felt well enough, so I healed my injuries. I moved my arm in a small circle to test it.
"Olly, I am so, so sorry for the misunderstanding that happened all those years ago." The Origami Craftsman fell to one knee and bowed. "Please, as my King and my son; forgive me."
I looked down at him. He had never treated me with such respect before, and I never thought I needed to hear him call me his son again.
"You have permission to rise, old man. You have no need to look so pathetic before me."
"Oh, Olly. I wished I could have apologized sooner, but by the time I saw you again...you were gone."
"I wish I could have seen that you were telling the truth this whole time. I'm...not quite ready to call you my father just yet but perhaps..." I held out my hand. "Perhaps we can start anew as friends?"
"Of course." He grabbed my hand, then pulled me in for a hug. "I missed you so much, and I'm happy to see how much you've grown."
I smiled slightly, trying to hide my tears. "I...I missed you too."
