Hello everyone this is chapter 4. Sorry for the no update. I am currently in the process of getting my CDL and studying for it has taken prority. Last time we got some backstory, some training, and filling in the crew. Now if you wish to read the next chapter right now, you can hop on my pat-reon where I will have this story as well as others updating and a new story with the teen titans and Naruto meeting up for wacky adventures in the Tv shows universe. With that said onto the chapter.
The Clowns vs The Strawhats
The Strawhat Marines were sailing into a known war zone. Orange Town was set on a semi remote island that was built in the last 50 years. It was currently being under control by the 'Buggy Pirates'. "Alright, we are gonna be basically fighting an entire crew. First things, first. We need to not go straight in." Law explained as Luffy pulled all the crew together.
"Awh, but Law that is the fun way." Luffy complained as he was lounging on the deck.
"Luffy, be reasonable. Law can you get us to the island if we sail to the other side of the island." Nami struck back getting more comfortable with the crew. She would never admit it but they were coming closer to her.
"Hmm, I could get whoever is going on the shore to the shore but I need to know who is all going." Law explained as he rubbed his chin. "I will be tired for it but I need to see the location."
"Hmm, well I believe we should keep Koby, Law, and obviously Dojaku on the ship. Law you can help Koby get stronger." Luffy started. "Now, Nami how long until we get to the island."
"Hmm, I would say we would see the island in roughly an hour." Nami explained as she took her time to get a read on the weather.
"Great! When we get there we will be going stealth." Luffy explained as Bonney got a massive grin on her face.
1 Hour Later
Luffy, Bonney, Zoro and Nami all arrived onto the beach of the island. "Alright, first things first. Let's find out how much damage the pirates caused." Luffy said as he started walking into the town with his crew.
As they walked into town, they heard a cannon go off and take out multiple building. "Well, it looks like we have destructive pirates. Permission for deadly force?" Bonney said with a sadistic grin.
*Sigh* "Granted. Alright, we are going to elminate the pirates." Luffy said with a tiring look.
"What's wrong Luffy?" Nami asked wondering why he seemed depressed.
"Not all pirates are evil." Luffy said shocking Nami. "There are many who do good that are branded pirates because they do not like to follow some of the more stupid rules."
"What?! How can there be good pirates!" Nami yelled angry at him for even suggesting such a thing.
"Well, look at this way. You would be a pirate if you freed a slave that the world government owned. Or" Luffy started as they walked through the town. "If you attacked a corrupt marine like Zoro did. Not everything is black in white Nami. Hell, my brother is a pirate but does his best with his captain to protect people."
"Wait, wait, wait. Slaves? A brother?" Nami was shocked again with the information.
"Yeah... let's talk about this later." Luffy said as he walked into a square that had a dog in front of a shop. "Hello, we are here to help, what happened? Where is everyone?"
The dog just stood up and growled at him. "Hmm, I see. I am not here for your shop we are just here to clear out the pirates. I will do my best to keep the damage to the minimum. " Luffy explained to the dog.
"Uh... Luffy did you just talk to that dog?" Zoro and Nami questioned.
"HAHAHA! Oh man your faces." Bonney started with a laugh. "He isn't here the dog talking her is listening to the dogs will."
"Who are you? What are you doing here?" They heard before they could respond.
Out came an elderly man with wearing what looked like and old military armor carrying a spear ready to fight. "Relax old man, we are here to free the town." Luffy explained as he heard a growl in the distance before nodding to Bonney.
"Marines! Finally we can take back our home!" The old man yelled out happily. "Did you here that Chouchou? We will be free!"
Here a bark from the dog besides them, Nami got a warm smile. 'This is what I want for my town.' The old man was so happy that he ran up Luffy with tears in his eyes. "I didn't know if my call got out. I am so happy that it did."
"It didn't we are here because the marines suspect massive corruption in this ocean. Do not worry, we will be taking out the pirates." Luffy explained to the old man. "What's your name old man?"
"I am Boodle, the mayor of this town." Boodle said shaking the hand that Luffy held out. "Please, we can use all the help we can get."
"Well, first things first. We are going to take care of the pirates. Now, please go back with your people. We will handle this." Luffy said as a man and a lion cub was dropped in front of them. "Ah, good time Bonney."
"He was on his way to the pet shop. What do you want to do to them?" Bonney asked as she was sitting on the man with her pistol on his head.
"Hmm, eliminate the man." Luffy said as he had already given lethal force call.
"Wait! If you kill me the great First Mate of the Buggy Pirates, Mohji, then Captain Buggy will kill everyone here and on this island." The man with fur around his face making him look like a lion himself.
"Oh really?" Luffy said with a sadistic smile that caused a shiver crawl up Mohji's spine. "Well, if you put it that way..."
*Bang* was all that was heard as Bonney pulled the trigger killing the man. "I am sorry you had to see that Mayor. We are going to take care of the rest of the pirates now." Luffy explained as he motioned with his hand to have his crew follow him.
As they approached the big tent that was stationed on top of the tavern, "What is with the cub?" Nami asked Bonney.
"Ah, well it was a big lion with bad manners. I figured returning it back to a new born allowing it to be raised properly. Maybe keeping it as a pet and encase we can use him as protection of the ship when he is grown and trained properly." Bonney said as the cub meowed at her barely opening its eyes.
"So, you developed Luffy's habit of picking up strays huh?" Zoro joked.
"Hehehe I guess I did." Bonney said as she put the cub into her backpack for safe holding.
"Zoro, you are up. I want you to take out the small fry and the commanding officer. Bonney and Nami, I want you both to take all the money and valuables. We need to leave half of it to the town to repair." Luffy explained as they got to the entrance of the party that was happening by the pirate. "I got Buggy. NOW GET OUT HERE YOU BIG NOSED FREAK!"
"WHO DARES MOCK MY NOSE!" They heard from inside as 50 or so pirates rushed out to see who it was.
"Captain we have Marines! It looks like they brought us entertainment!" a random pirate said as he looked at the girls with a lecherous look.
In the next moment, that man had his head taken off by Zoro. "Sorry Luffy, I can't stand rapists." Zoro explained as he put his blade into his mouth with pulling out his remaining 2 blades.
As Zoro was getting ready to fight, Buggy and his chief of staff walked out. "Man fire the Buggy Ball!" they heard Buggy yell out as he revealed a cannon aimed directly at the 4 marines.
As the cannon fired, Luffy walked in front of his crew. Holding his hand out, Luffy grabbed the cannonball as it was shot at him. 'SHIT! He is like my old captain and that monster Garp!' Buggy thought as Luffy jumped up and threw the cannonball at Buggy's ship crippling it taking out all of the masts.
"Now, Buggy let's have a chat of your surrender to be taken to jail." Luffy said as he dropped back down from his jump.
"Now, let's be reasonable. I have treasure. I can pay you like the others we have been in business with." Buggy said look nervous.
"Oh, how about this you give me those names and I will let you live." Luffy said looking from underneath his hat.
"Sure, men go grab our blackmail list!" Buggy yelled out as his men scrambled to listen to his orders.
"No need. Nami Bonney take everything." Luffy said as he walked towards Buggy. "Buggy the clown. You are under arrest for piracy and murder."
"You think you can take us all. Men ATTACK!" Buggy said as he started to use his devil fruit.
"Silent: Battlefield" Luffy said as the entire area became silent. Buggy body was forced together and he was unable to separate. 'What is he?!' Buggy thought as he was unable to make a noise.
"Zoro finish I have some business with him." Luffy said as his voice was the only thing that ringed out in the otherwise silent area.
Zoro understood. He started to slash men with his attacks cutting down any that were in his range of his blades. The pirates tried to use guns and blades to stop Zoro, but the guns would not fire and zoro was just a better swordsman all together. He cut a path as Luffy walked straight towards Buggy.
As most of the men were killed, Luffy and Zoro made their way in front of Buggy. "Cancellation" Luffy said. "Now, Buggy let's have a competition. Your second in command fight Zoro. If he wins, I will let you and your remain crew leave, without your supplies mind you but you will be free. No interfering now. I will be with you in my field."
"Cabaji! I put my faith in you." Buggy said knowing he was gonna have to help if they were going to win.
"Silent Prison!" Luffy said as Buggy was put into a field that was literally stopped Buggy from freaking out him.
"So, you are the famous bounty hunter?" Cabaji said as he got ready to fight. "Once, I take you down my fame will increase."
"Shut up and fight." Zoro said as he got into fighting stance.
The fight between the 2 showed that Zoro was clearly the better fighter. First Cabaji jumped onto a unicycle trying to swipe at Zoro while he clearly could not get any hits in. Zoro continuously got annoyed. 'This man is mocking me.'
"Zoro calm yourself you need to focus." Luffy said as Cabaji spewed fire at him and threw daggers.
'Calm huh.' Zoro thought as he remember his old master explaining something...
Flashback
"Master, how is it you are strong?" Zoro asked as he got been by Kuina again.
"Zoro, it isn't about strength." His master Koushirou explained. "It is about understanding yourself and your ideal. To do that in swordsmanship you need to find a perfect calm and balance in yourself and your blades. Only then will you be able to see true strength."
"I don't understand." Zoro complained as Kuina looked at her father with understanding.
"I am sure eventually you will." Koushirou said smiling at the boy.
Flashback end
'Calm and perfect balance.' Zoro thought as he body slowly adjusted to stance.
"This will be my last attack Zoro. I am sure you will die and grant me fame." Cabaji said.
Cabaji launched himself with the unicycle into the air and at the top of the arc, launched himself from the unicycle bringing his sword to strike as he let gravity increase his speed.
Zoro watched as the man came at him. 'Now!' Zoro thought as he brought his blade through Cabaji creating a wind blade out passed cutting the sea slightly ending with them both on facing the opposite way.
Zoro placed his blades back into his shealths as Cabaji fell over in a pool of his own blood.
"Well, it looks like our win." Luffy said as he pulled out his blade. "Any last words?"
"How do you have Captain Roger's blade?!" Buggy yelled as he had seen the blade many times.
"Unfortunately Buggy you will never find out." Luffy said as he pulled the blade across causing Buggy to fall.
"You... are... a monster..." Buggy said with a breathe before he fell down unconcious.
"No, you are. You were once part of a group that wanted to be free." Luffy said as he pulled his blade away pulling out a mushi. "I need a retrieval and cleanup crew to Orange town."
"May I get your confirmation number." the tellar behind the mushi.
"374295..." Luffy said waiting for his response.
"The team will be there in a day Commodore." the tellar responded ending the call.
"Thank god that is over..." Luffy sighed as Nami and Bonney returned with all the loot that was on Buggy's ship as well as in the tavern.
"I can not believe it. Buggy was defeated so easily." Boodle said coming out from the building nearby.
"Yes, we need to get some seastone cuffs. Bonney can you call Law. I am going to take a rest." Luffy said as he walked off to be alone.
"Why does he always get like this after taking care of a pirate." Bonney said with a sigh. "Please go after him Nami. He needs someone to get him out of the funk."
"Right, make sure we get our money into ship." Nami said dropping her bag in front of Zoro.
Pulling out her mushi, "Hey Law, bring the ship around." Bonney said to her mushi.
"Luffy is in one of his moods again isn't he?" Law responded.
"Yeah... he is still like that after so long." Bonney said making Zoro raise his eyebrows.
"Luffy has a pretty rough story. Unfortunately it isn't my story to tell." Bonney explained looking at Zoro's shocked expression.
Meanwhile
Luffy sat on the beach looking out into the ocean. "Beri for your thoughts?" He heard as his mind was a mess.
"It is just tough to see that there are people who are pirates that are good people placed as pirates for reasons of not seeing eye to eye with the government or going against the government and then there are people who are like that man." Luffy explained as he continued to look out at sea.
"Some are just cruel... I know more than most." Nami said sitting next to him curling into herself.
"We will stop Arlong and when the time comes you and who you care for will be free." Luffy said putting his arm around her.
"You really mean it don't you?" Nami said looking up into his eyes with hope. "What if I wanted to stay on board?"
"Of course, you are already my nakama, my family now. You will always be welcome and if you have a dream, I will do anything to make it a reality." Luffy said without a hint of deceit.
"You know you can say those things and expect women not to fall for you." Nami said as she leaned up and kiss his cheek.
Looking up at him, Nami couldn't help but laugh. "Wha?" Luffy said in a shock.
"Luffy just keep being you." Nami said as she snuggled up pulling his arms around herself.
"Nami, you should know.." Luffy started.
"Oh, about the other girls you managed to make fall for you?" Nami asked watching Luffy's reaction. "Yes, Bonney talked to me about it."
"Doesn't that make you feel like you don't want to be with me?" Luffy asked completely not knowing how women think.
"Well, keep being you and I am sure it will work out." Nami said as she sat into his lap. "Though if you want to be with me, you will need to rescue my island. I won't back down from that deal."
"Nami, I would have done it regardless." Luffy explained as he felt like she should have her freedom not be a bargain chip.
"And that is why I am comfortable sitting right here. No expectations, no holding something over me, and not expecting something in return for a good deed." Nami said relaxing with him around her.
They continued to relax on the beach for awhile until the day was spent the sun was setting. "I guess we should head back." Luffy said as he noticed they have been out there for a couple hours in silence just enjoying each others company.
"Yeah.." Nami replied as realized just how long they had been out there.
Later
Zoro and Law were out on the deck practicing, while Bonney took Koby under her wing started the ruthless training that would be a benefit for him in the long run. Soon they heard Nami cry out, "Commanding officer coming on board!"
"Luffy!" Bonney yelled jumping at him to hug him. "It is good to see you back to normal!"
"Yeah, sorry about that. I will try to keep myself from falling that much again." Luffy said as he held Bonney to him.
"Well, it is good to see you back. Buggy is cuffed and is bound and gagged." Law stated as he came up to his friend. "Next time don't hesitate to kill them. He is the worst of the trash of men and women."
"Yeah... Sorry." Luffy said as he tried to not think about what could have happened if he lost.
"As long as you are good." Law said as he came up to him patting on his shoulder. "Well, we are going to head out in the morning. We will be meeting grandpa's ship in on the way to Gecko Islands."
"Yes, SIR!" They all called out as they got ready for the night as Bonney and Nami took the small Richie into his new cabin.
"You are so whipped you know that." said Law as he watched Luffy staring at the retreating forms of Nami and Bonney as they swayed their hips.
"I know... it is gonna get worse soon." Luffy said explaining what is gonna be happening.
"Oh god." Law grew very white. "Well, you are screwed! More ways than one. Your wife is gonna be a menace."
Alright, that is the end of that. Well, it is Buggy the clown. He is the comedic relief for the pirates. I am gonna have him in it somewhat however, he will not really be able to do anything in Logue town. Next time, Cats and the resturant on the sea.
