"Ask Lexa.", Anya said with a smirk on her face.
"I don't need the confirmation from her. Your comment says it all.", Clarke said with a laugh to her voice. As they were riding along an arrow was shot off and landed right in front of Anya's horse. "Great, now Lexa's guards are shooting at us.", Clarke said out loud to no one in particular.
"Not her guards or warriors. She does not have any out this far. This is another clan.", Anya said to them.
"Mountain men?", Lincoln asked from his horse next to them.
"They use guns. Azgeda uses arrows.", Octavia said to them from her spot behind Lincoln. "We need to find cover.", Octavia said to them while looking around to figure out where the arrow came from.
"We should go on foot from now on. Everyone off the horses. Let them go, they will ride home, they are very well trained.", Anya said as everyone dismounted their horses.
"Hide behind the trees but keep on alert. They could be anywhere.", Clarke said as everyone hid behind trees.
"Clarke, what if they attack your parents and Bell?", Octavia said to Clarke with worry.
"They'll be fine. Bell knows what to look out for and he has a gun. My father also has one.", Clarke said to reassure Octavia.
"I hope so.", Octavia said as an arrow landed right above her head on the tree. "Well shit.", Octavia said as she ran to where Clarke was hiding behind another tree.
"Can anyone see anything?", Clarke asked everyone.
"These aren't Azgeda arrows though.", Lincoln said as he inspected the arrow that was in the tree.
"If they are Azgeda spies they would use different arrows.", Clarke said just as Anya was about to say the same thing.
"Could it be Echo? Wasn't she a spy?", Raven asked as she dodged another arrow. "They're coming more frequently.", Raven said as she hid behind the tree that Lincoln was hiding behind.
"Echo's in Mount Weather.", Clarke said to Raven. "Could be another spy.", Clarke said as she dodged another arrow and hid behind another tree. "We need to get out of here.", Clarke said to them.
"Where's Anya?", Lincoln asked when he noticed that Anya wasn't anywhere to be seen.
"She's going to get herself killed is what she's going to do. Anya, get down."; Clarke said as Anya was just standing out in the open.
"If they wanted us dead they would not be aiming for the trees or the ground.", Anya said to Clarke.
"Maybe they're just trying to play with us. You could get killed.", Clarke said to her with an eye roll.
"Then my fight will be over.", Anya said to Clarke with a smirk on her face.
"Not funny!", Clarke said as another arrow hit the ground right in front of Anya's feet. "See a few more inches and that could have killed you.", Clarke said to her.
"They were not aiming for me.", Anya said with a knowing look on her face.
"Anya!", Clarke said as Anya got shot with an arrow right in her left shoulder.
"That was aimed at me.", Anya said as she grabbed her shoulder and fell to the floor.
"Lincoln in your backpack is a gun. Cover me.", Clarke said as she ran out to where Anya was. "You will not die on me you hear me.", Clarke said as she dragged her behind a tree and applied pressure on her wound. "We need to get her to Polis now.", Clarke said to her team.
"O, cover me.", Lincoln said as he slid the gun over to Octavia and then ran over to where Clarke and Anya were. "I can carry her but we need to leave now.", Lincoln said to Clarke.
"Raven, do you have a gun?", Clarke asked her friend.
"Yes.", Raven said as she took it out of her backpack.
"Okay, the three of us are going to cover Lincoln while he holds Anya. We need to keep a close eye on each other in order to make it to Polis. Roman?", Clarke said then asked the guard.
"Sha.", Roman said as he poked out from behind a tree.
"Cover us as well.", Clarke said to him.
"Sha.", Roman said with a head nod.
"Okay this is going to hopefully stop the bleeding until we get to Polis.", Clarke said as she ripped a piece of cloth to wrap around Anya's shoulder. "We have to move fast but be aware of your surroundings people.", Clarke said as Lincoln took Anya into his arms and they started their run to Polis.
"If we live through this can we find the fuckers and kill them?". Octavia asked as her and Raven were keeping an eye out as they were running.
"I second that.", Raven said as two arrows blew past her head. "Jesus they want us dead I guess.", Raven said as she was looking around to try and see where the arrow came from. Just as Raven was about to dodge another arrow she was hit in the lower back by her spine. As she went down Octavia spotted the spy and shot him down.
"Clarke!", Octavia said as she ran to Raven's side.
"Looks like I was right. Wasn't going to be Murphy shooting me after all.", Raven said to Octavia as she coughed up blood.
"Don't joke like that right now.", Octavia said as Clarke ran over to her.
"Shit this is bad.", Clarke said as she inspected Raven's wound.
"Figured as much. Do you think it did the same damage as getting shot?", Raven asked Clarke.
"Not sure, but the longer we keep that in your spine the higher chance of more damage. I have no pain killers with me.", Clarke said to Raven. "I can do the surgery when we get to Polis but you'll feel everything.", Clarke said to Raven. "You'll also be in a lot of pain until we get there. I can't remove that thing without surgery.", Clarke said to Raven.
"I get it. I've been through worse. Let's just go.", Raven said.
"Okay, Roman, can you carry her?", Clarke asked Roman.
"Sha.", Roman said as he gently picked Raven up.
"Fuck this hurts.", Raven said to everyone.
"Sorry, just hang in there.", Clarke said to her as they began to walk again.
"How are you going to stitch Anya up and do Raven's surgery?", Octavia asked in a hushed voice to Clarke.
"I haven't figured that out yet.", Clarke said with fear in her voice.
"Wait, Lincoln isn't Nyko's healing hut close by?", Octavia asked Lincoln.
"It is, but it is the opposite direction of Polis.", Lincoln said to them.
"Honestly it's whatever at this point. I need to get Anya stable and I need to do Raven's surgery. Will he trust us?", Clarke said then asked Lincoln.
"If we get his memories back, yes. He will be able to help with Raven's surgery as well.", Lincoln said.
"Let's go then.", Clarke said as they changed direction. "Once I get Anya stable her and I can go meet up with Lexa. Roman, once we are at the healing hut, could you go and give a message to Lexa. Let her know what has happened and that I'll be arriving soon with Anya?", Clarke asked Roman.
"Sha, ba heda hofli nou trust Yu.", Roman said to Clarke. (Yes, but Heda may not trust you)
"She na souda trust Yu en bilaik word. Taim she gaf in gon ai op Disha gon herself tell em where Oso are.", Clarke said to him. (She will have to trust you and your word. If she needs to see this for herself tell her where we are)
"Sha.", Roman said as they got closer to Nyko's healing hut.
"Keep your eyes open Reyes.", Octavia said to Raven as she noticed that Raven was starting to close her eyes.
"Kind of hard when you have an arrow in your spine.", Raven said as she started to cough.
"We're almost there.", Clarke said to Raven.
"Should we get your mom to come here?", Ocavia asked Clarke.
"Only if I need her. I'm not sure if I will or not.", Clarke said to Octavia. "Nyko can patch Anya up while I start Raven's surgery.", Clarke said as they were standing outside of Nyko's healing hut.
"I will go in first. I will get his memories back.", Lincoln said as he placed Anya on the ground and she leaned into Clarke.
"Thank you.", Clarke said as Lincoln went into the hut. A few minutes later both him and Nyko came out. "We need to hurry.", Clarke said to Nyko as he grabbed Anya and Linconl carefully took Raven from Roman. "You know where we are if Lexa needs to see for herself.", Clarke said to Roman as he nodded his head before leaving. "Nyko, do you remember how to do stitches?", Clarke asked as Lincoln was placing Raven on a cot.
"Sha, I will assist you when I am finished.", Nyko said to Clarke as he began to inspect Anya's wound.
"Thank you. Okay Reyes, this is going to hurt like a bitch. I'm sorry I don't have anything to numb you with.", Clarke said to Raven.
"It's cool blondie, just give me something to bite down on. I'll pass out eventually.", Raven said to Clarke with a painful look on her face.
"Here.", Octavia said as she handed Raven a rolled up shirt to put into her mouth.
"Thanks. Ready whenever you are blondie.", Raven said to Octavia as she took the rolled up shirt from Octavia.
"We're going to have to put you on your stomach.", Clarke said to Raven.
"Yeah I remember that from last time. O, can you stay and talk to me? I'll pass out eventually.", Raven asked and said to Octavia.
"Of course.", Octavia said as she and Lincoln helped Clarke to put Raven on her stomach.
"This is going to suck.", Clarke said to everyone in the room.
"Once I am done with Anya I will help you Clarke.", Nyko said to Clarke.
"Thank you.", Clarke said. "Alright here we go, Lincoln can you hold her legs down please.", Clarke asked Lincoln.
"Do I need to hold your shoulders down?", Octavia asked Raven.
"No, Lincoln doesn't even need to hold my feet. I've been through this before I can do it again.", Raven said to them.
"Alright here we go.", Clarke said as she started to cut into Raven's back.
"Son of a bitch.", Raven said as she squeezed Octavia's hand.
"Sorry Reyes.", Octavia said, feeling bad for her sister.
"Eh, I've got this.", Raven said as she clenched her teeth from the pain.
"Yeah you do, you badass.", Octavia said to Raven with a small smile on her face.
"Rae, I have to pull out the arrow head now. This is going to hurt like hell.", Clarke said to Raven giving her a heads up of what she was going to do next.
"Just do it blondie.", Raven said to Clarke. "Mother Fucker.", Raven said as she screamed after because of the pain. "Can we stop?", Raven asked with tears in her eyes.
"I wish I could, but I have to get this under control.", Clarke said to Raven.
"You got this Reyes. Clarke, she's looking a little pale.", Octavia said to Clarke.
"That could be from the pain. Is she warm?", Clarke asked Octavia as Octavia put her hand on Raven's forehead.
"She doesn't seem to be.", Octavia said to Clarke.
"Keep an eye on it. We have to make sure she doesn't get a fever. She's probably just pale from the pain.", Clarke said to Octavia.
"You know I'm not passed out yet. I can hear you.", Raven said which got the girls to chuckle.
"Sorry.", Clarke said to her.
"Though your eyes are closing so you might be out soon.", Octavia said to Raven.
"Hmm.", Raven said as her eyes were closing.
"She's almost out.", Octavia said to Clarke.
"Good, because getting this thing out completely is going to be a pain. It'll cause her a lot of pain, she's better off passing out.", Clarke said to Octavia.
"What can I help with?", Nyko asked as he walked over to the cot that Raven was laying on.
"Grab some cloths and try to get the bleeding under control so I can see.", Clarke said to Nyko.
"Is it worse than you thought?", Octavia asked Clarke with concern in her eyes.
"No, it's what I expected it to be. A small fragment of the arrow head is enlarged in her spine. I can remove it, but it's going to cause some damage. Lincoln can you grab a flashlight in my backpack please.", Clarke said then asked Lincoln. "Shine it right where my hand is please.", she said when Lincoln came over with the flashlight.
"Will there be damage to her leg like last time?", Octavia asked Clarke.
"That we won't know until the swelling comes down unfortunately. It may not be as severe as it was the last time. But she might have some nerve damage. It's really hard to say.", Clarke said as she was concentrating on removing the arrow head. "Come on you son of a bitch.", Clarke said as she was trying to pull the arrow head out in one motion.
"What if you use these.", Nyko said as he stepped away and came back with what looked like small forceps.
"That will work, thank you Nyko.", Clarke said as she took the instrument from him and began to work.
"She's out now.", Octavia said to Clarke looking up from watching Raven's face.
"Good, just make sure she doesn't get a fever.", Clarke said to Octavia as she continued to work on Raven.
"Should we send for your mother? She has antibiotics.", Lincoln asked Clarke.
"I have some in my bag, enough to get through a few days. We have the salve as well from Nyko.", Clarke said to him with a reassuring smile.
"Grounders and Skaikru working as one.", Octavia said with a small smile on her face.
"As it should have been from the beginning.", Nyko said with a knowing smile.
"Well that's something that's changed for the better then.", Lincoln said with a proud smile on his face.
