Author's Notes: Hello and welcome (back). Just a couple quick notes before we jump into this next "chapter":

1). This was supposed to be a "one and done" deal. I hadn't planned on expanding on this one-shot, but alas, now we have a two-shot. This "chapter" is a bit short but let's not forget that it was never supposed to exist in the first place- the idea just wouldn't leave me alone. Also, you might recognize a Floating With You reference towards the end.

2). I've been planning on writing a multichapter story depicting how Cosmo and Wanda get together. I know this trope is quite popular and has been done time and again, but I love reading the imagination of others, especially on this particular subject. Let me know if you would like to read my wild idea of events leading up to them becoming the iconic fairy coupe that we all love.

without further ado...

He dreamt of her again.

Shades of pink dancing behind his eyelids, teasing him with the briefest manifestation of her angelic face. Even in his sleep, he can smell the sweetness of her perfume and hear the velvety tone of her voice.

"Cosmo," his name flows from her lips like golden honey dripping from the honeycomb- so smooth and elegant. Her eyes pierce into his and he tries not to blink, afraid she'll disappear if he does. She smiles, bringing her face closer to his. "Cosmo," she softly calls out again.

"Y-yeah?" he studders trying not to melt under her gaze.

"Kiss me," she says, moving even closer to him.

He hesitates, his breath catches in his throat and soon his lungs begin to burn. "Breathe, you idiot!" That still small voice in the back of his mind reminds him that oxygen is a necessity.

He hastily exhales, his heart beat rings in his ears and his palms itch with sweat. Her intoxicating scent consumes his very being and he clinches his fists at his sides in a feeble attempt to stop himself from reaching out and grabbing her. But oh, how he longs to feel her body against him... beneath him.

"Pervert!" he silently reprimands himself.

"Please," she whispers.

Cosmo watches as her eyes flutter shut. He licks his lips in anticipation and his eyes begin to drift closed...

BEEEEEEEP BEEEEEEEP BEEEEEEEP

The sound of an alarm clock reverberated through the dark bedroom.

"Stupid clock!" Cosmo grumbled, knocking the alarm clock off the bedside table before pulling his green blanket over his head. He closed his eyes trying to get back to his dream.

The door slammed open and in floated an older fairy with mint green hair, piled high in tight curls on top of her. She floated over to the window and pulled the blinds up, allowing the sun to fill the room with its warm rays of light. The older fairy narrowed her eyes across the room at the lump in the middle of the bed.

"Come on dear," she said as she floated across the room and pulled the blanket away, "it's time to get up or you'll be late for school." She watched as Cosmo searched for his blanket with his hand.

"Five more minutes, Mama," he said groggily as he pulled the pillow over his head, rolling over onto his stomach. Mama Cosma scowled and raised her wand to create a dark cloud above the reluctant fairy. Cold rain poured down onto the bed, soaking the sleeping fairy and the mattress.

"Hey!" Cosmo groaned, throwing his wet pillow aside. He sat up and shook water from his messy green hair.

"Oh good, you're finally up," Mama Cosma said with a triumphant smile. "Your breakfast is getting cold. Hurry up and get dressed so you can make it to school on time!"

"Yes mama," Cosmo said through a yawn.

She gave her son one more stern look before turning to leave the room. Once she was gone, Cosmo looked around and smiled when he spotted his blanket laying on the floor. He quickly grabbed it and fell backwards, not caring that his bed was still cold and soaked from the rain.

Suddenly, thunder boomed, and he quickly leapt from the bed as a bolt of lightning struck the mattress where he had been laying. He sighed in relief and quickly grabbed his wand off of the dresser, getting himself dressed before going to the kitchen for breakfast.

The smell of pancakes wafted through the air and Cosmo's stomach growled with hunger. He took a seat at the kitchen table, sitting next to a large bay window.

"Thanks, Mama," Cosmo said when she set a plate of pancakes down in front of him. Mama Cosma handed him a fork and patted his cheek. He watched as she floated over to the sink and began washing the dishes from the previous night.

Cosmo pushed a piece of pancake through the syrup on his plate and brought the fork to his mouth. He froze when he saw a familiar shade of pink from the corner of his eye. He turned to the window and there she was, floating by his house!

"Wanda," he sighed dreamily.

"Cosmo!" Mama Cosma chided, rushing over to the table when she heard his fork clank a little too hard against the porcelain plate. "You need to be more careful with my china!" She glared from the chipped plate to her son, who clearly wasn't even paying attention. She was startled when Cosmo hastily moved from the table to the front door.

Right when he got the courage to open the door and call out to the swirly pink haired beauty, he felt himself being pulled by his ear back into the house.

"Finish your breakfast," Mama Cosma said plopping him back in his seat at the table.

"Yes, Mama," Cosmo said sullenly. He looked out the bay window and sighed when he could no longer see the swirly pink hair that brought him such joy. He picked up his fork again and began poking at the now soggy pancakes.

Maybe it wasn't meant to be, but at least he could have her in his dreams.
