Chapter 9: Reunited Momentarily
In a radar room somewhere on Toon Island, one of the soldiers were looking back on the cameras. "Did we miss anything Richard?" asked one of them. "No, not really," replied another. A third toon was looking back on one of the cameras aimed at the coast. He noticed a submarine. "Uhh, guys?" he said, "There was a submarine right nearby the airport camera." The other 2 toons looked with him. "Huh, that's strange," said Richard, "That was at least 7 hours ago."
"Guys!" said another toon soldier, as the other 3 looked at him, "There's 10 submarines on the camera right near the airport currently!" The other 3 soldiers ran over to see. He was indeed right, as dozens jumped off the submarines and onto land. "Sound the alarm!" said Richard.
The Warners looked at the Prime Minister like she was insane. "What?" asked Wakko. "You can't be serious," said Dot. "What do you know about our parents?" asked Yakko sternly. "Everything," said the Prime Minister, "From when Acme Falls was taken from them, the painful journey they went on to find a home, and worst of all, when they couldn't get to you guys because they knew the danger of going back." "The danger of going back? Is this related to that weird anti-toon group stuff?" asked Yakko. The general nodded, "The rabbit hole goes a lot deeper than you think." "Uhh, goodnight everybody!" said Yakko.
Just then, the sirens went off. "Oh no," the Prime Minister said, before looking at General Marius, "Take them to William and Angelina! This may be their final time to ever see their parents!" "You got it Prime Minister," General Marius said, before looking at Yakko, Wakko, and Dot, "Follow me!" The Warners ran off with the general and his men.
As that was happening, everyone ran out of the stores and restaurants, running past the Prime Minister. "I hope it's not to late," she murmured. One of the soldiers came up to the Prime Minister, "Come on, let's go to the fallout shelter, we don't know what we are dealing with." She sighed and nodded as she followed everyone into it.
Very shortly after, came Townly and a large majority of everyone who worked with him. "I think everyone went into the fallout shelter sir," said one of them. Another one found it and tried breaking through, but it didn't work. "Should we bring in something more lethal to get them?" asked another. Townly looked in the distance where there was a hill. He saw several figures that looked familiar to him. "No, leave the fallout shelter be," said Townly, "Those other toons aren't as big of a priority anyway."
By now, the sun had completely set. The night sky looked as beautiful as it would anywhere else. The Warners, General Marius, and the soldiers made it to the top of the hill where there was a red house with farm like land. "We're here," the general said.
One of the solders knocked on the door. Which the door opened only a crack, "Who's this?!" said a voice. "Mr. Warner, you and the Mrs won't believe what we found on one of our planes earlier today," said General Marius, "They're some familiar faces you haven't seen for a significantly long time." "Didn't you hear the sirins going off general? Or have I gone mad?" the voice exclaimed, "This is not the time for messages when me and my lovely wife are trying to hide from whatever there is!" "This is really important," said General Marius, "I promise to the bottom of my heart I am not crazy when I say this. Your children, Yakko, Wakko, and Dot were stowaways on one of our planes." "Wait, what?" asked the voice. Another voice came in, "William, what's the matter?" General Marius as well as other soldiers moved aside so if one of the two voices opened the door, they could get a good view of Yakko, Wakko, and Dot.
The door opened and out came two Cartoonus Characterus. The first one had a grey mustache and grey eyebrows, wore a red flannel, and dark blue jeans. The second one had long slightly grey hair, wore a white and blue dress. It was indeed the Warners parents, William and Angelina the second. They gasped upon seeing their children. Yakko, Wakko, and Dot gasped too.
The 5 of them spent seconds staring at each other in disbelief. Many flashbacks began occurring, more specifically in the heads of William, Angelina, and Yakko. They looked back on the times they remembered, before they got split that night. General Marius and the soldiers sat around awkwardly, not sure what to think of the situation. "D-Dad? M-M-Mom?" Yakko said. William and Angelina looked at Yakko, Wakko, and Dot, unsure how to respond. "Our babys," Angelina said softly, "It's...really them-"
Just then, a metal ball fell right next to their feet. "Oh no! It's a-" General Marius yelled, before he got cut off by the ball going off. What came out was white-ish, grey-ish smoke that caused everyone to cough and quickly fall asleep.
Townly and his crew walked up to the Warners, their parents, the general, and what soldiers he had. "Interrupting, am I?" Townly laughed. "Well to be fair, you more than likely did," said one of Townly's people. "I wasn't asking you!" Townly snapped, "Anyway, take all of them to the submarines. As for everyone who is hiding, don't bother with them, we got what we need."
