After Cagalli was satisfied with her shopping, she and Athrun head to the parking lot. On their way, Athrun could hear some whispers around them.
"Look at him. How could he?"
"Right? How could he let his girlfriend hold all her shopping bags?"
"My boyfriend always offers to do that. What a shame, he looks fine, though."
The whispers still continued when Cagalli suddenly held his arm.
"Don't mind them," she murmured, smiling.
Of course, civilians like them wouldn't understand.
That whenever he went, Athrun would always keep his hand free, especially when Cagalli was with him. Because he needed his hands free in case any irregular situation—which required him to use his gun—happened.
It's okay as long as Cagalli understand him, he inwardly thought.
I'm currently reading 'Boudai danshi ni koi shimashita', a sweet fluffy manga about a florist and a student in military academy. And they explained some rules about what not to do at public, especially when they are in uniform—hands should always be free at anytime. I imagined that ZAFT had a strict rules and this could be one of them, and Athrun would be so used to it that it turned into a habit, especially since he was once Cagalli 's bodyguard. Don't you agree? XD
This story will probably end soon. I just think that the next few chapters will be a good place to wrap it up. Thanks for joining me on this one!
