Growing Pains
Chapter 10: A Phantom's Brand New Limits II
Team Phantom soon arrived to the outskirts of Amity Park, near an abandoned warehouse.
No one was around, and that meant that Danny could concentrate right now.
"I'm going ghost!..."Danny declared as he changed forms.
"Time to test your ghosts form's new limits, and see how far you got in power..."Sam said, as they had set up the area much like they did with the training area in the lab.
Only this way, no real damage can come to Danny's house if something backfires.
"Ready?..."Jazz asked, holding a clipboard.
"Ready..."Danny said, as he began to prepare for anything
"First...speed..."Sam said, as Tucker held the speed scanner.
Danny nodded and got into a runner's position. All he could do was hope he could limit himself.
He flew as fast as he could and before he knew it, he was by the Karman line once again. He looked around and groaned in irritation.
"Not again..."He muttered as he flew back.
He landed and soon saw the stunned looks on the others faces.
"So...how was that?..."Danny asked uneasily.
Tucker shakily checked the scanner. He saw that the scanner clocked him at 44,738.7 mph.
"44,738.7 miles per hour!..."He said, amazed.
"Wow! And I thought what you did at the park earlier was fast..."Sam commented, astonished by this news.
Danny sighed.
"As much as I love seeing space. I rather NOT keep accidentally almost leave Earth's orbit every time I try flying..."He said in his classic joking manner.
They soon went on to check the rest of his powers.
Thankfully, his control over his invisibility and intangibility was still as good as ever, as was his ability to stay transformed.
"Looks like you've got a good handle on some of your ghost powers. Your clumsiness hasn't affected you that much..."Jazz said, impressed.
Her brother, feeling cheeky, decided to do something else. He went and overshadow his sister and decided to pull another timeless classic. Jazz's eyes became green and her voice was replaced by her brother's.
"Hello. I'm Jasmine Fenton. Don't let the books, stuffed teddy bear, condescending tone and lack of boyfriend fool you. I'm totally a catch and not at all an overly protective, know-it-all big sister..."Danny as Jazz said before he exited her body.
"I see that your sense of humor hasn't changed at all..."Tucker said, recalling the plenty of times that Danny did the same things to him.
Jazz shook her head and sent an annoyed look at her brother.
"I REALLY hate it when you do that..."She said, annoyed while her brother sent her a sassy grin.
"Hey, we have to go over ALL my ghost powers..."He pointed out, not at all sorry.
"Why can't you just overshadow Sam or Tucker?..." She grumbled to herself.
"Hey..."Tucker and Sam both complained, while Danny chuckled.
"Sorry, couldn't resist..."He admitted.
"Okay, funny guy. Let's see how many copies you can make now..."Sam said.
Danny nodded and concentrated. He made about 4 copies...until they all glowed and all of a sudden 8 appeared...and then 16...and then 32!
"WHOA!..."Danny shouted as the warehouse was now packed with his duplicates.
His friends and sisters were also stunned and some of the Dannys even pointed at each other, wondering if this was really happening. While a few other pointing at each other for a few laughs and thumbs up.
"Awesome! The next time you and Vlad face off and he tries to use his copies, now you have a more even playing field!..."Tucker said, grinning.
"As cool as this is, it's still only temporary..."All of the Danny's said before the main Danny dispelled all his duplicates.
"Okay. Duplicates. Check. And I don't think we need to check and see about super strength or the ghostly wail right now?..."Jazz asked, a bit scared to imagine just how much more powerful those ghost powers have gotten during this change in Danny.
"My strength isn't too much of a problem, as long as I am careful, but I am NOT going to try the wail. It's dangerous enough as it is, but with any more power, I might accidentally destroy all of Amity park and maybe even the next town over too..."Danny said, drawing a line.
"Yeah... last time we practiced it, you made everyone think it was an earthquake..." Tucker reminded him.
"Exactly!..." Danny said.
"Okay, hotshot. Let's ramp it up..."Sam said as she clicked a button on a remote.
Soon, an obstacle course appeared, just like the one in the lab. Including ceiling rings, and dart guns.
Jazz was amazed.
"How'd you guys do this?..."She asked, amazed and confused.
"A little something I managed to have set up in the span of a week..."Tucker said in a smug sorta way.
"What? What do you think Sam and I do whenever Danny's off dealing with ghosts or solo patrols? Our chores?..."He laughed, thinking the idea is unlikely.
Sam then turned to Danny after double checking the obstacle course and making sure it's ready.
"Okay, time to see how your reflexes and skills have now that you're a ghost..."She said, as she waved a checkered flag.
"Let's see how I'm going to beat my last record..."Danny said, grinning.
Usually, Danny does pretty well with these obstacles courses when he is his usual ghostly self. But right now, he was outclassing himself...and that's putting it lightly.
His enhanced strength, speed, agility, flexibility and reactions made him easily overcome every single obstacle in his path like it was nothing.
He flipped through the rings and dodged the darts much faster than usual and bent his body in ways that neither his sister or his friends had ever in him do before.
"Ta-da!..." Danny went.
"Time for target practice!..."Tucker said, as he pressed another button and soon appeared cut-out of ghosts and enemies.
Danny easily blast all of them, as each fake ghost appeared. Soon, they saw a cut out of Jazz, which Danny dodged.
"Huh? Is that me?..."She asked out loud just as her brother PURPOSELY hit her cut out.
Jazz soon became angry.
"Hey! That was me!..."She shouted as that her cut-out's head flew near her feet.
"Sorry, got a little carried away..."Danny said as he scratches the back of his head.
His sister sent him a dirty look and stared at her decapitated cut-out self again.
"Why the heck did you guys even make a cutout of ME for TARGET PRACTICE?!..."She demanded, looking ticked right now.
Team Phantom sent each other uneasy looks and had to come up with something believable.
"Uh...well...you see...the thing is..."Tucker paused, unsure how to answer that.
"Danny has to learn when NOT to fire at some things. We made this cut-out of you since...well...he'd never hit you..."Sam lied quickly, trying to make her excuse sound totally reasonable.
"Yeah, what she said..."Danny said quickly.
Jazz kept glaring at them, and soon noticed that her cut out looked like it was poorly reconstructed and even looked a bit faded. She frowned, seeing through their words.
"You've guys have been doing this since before I got involved with the team and didn't bother to think change any of this? Haven't you?..."She asked, a little upset that the cut-outs of her were used for target practice.
"Darn it. Why does she have to be so smart?..."Danny thought, realizing that his sudden adulthood didn't make him any wiser.
"Let's just continue training and get this over with..."An annoyed Jazz said, fully intending to make them pay.
"Why do I get the feeling that I'd better stay like this for a while?..."Danny thought a bit nervously as his training continued.
Later
After training, Team Phantom was tallying up all the results of the past test of his ghost form.
"So, what's the score?..."Danny asked as Tucker went over the details of his overall boosted Ghost Powers.
"Wow...you weren't kidding. You're practically 10 times stronger and faster than before. These results are practically otherworldly, and I mean that as unironically as I can..."He said.
"Really? I just guessed that..."Danny admitted, rubbing the back of his dead.
"Well, your guess was almost completely spot on. If I haven't seen it all with my own eyes, I might not have believed it..."Tucker said.
"Which means that need to be extra cautious when you used your powers out in the open, when your like this at least. Unless you suddenly want to pull a Dad and accidentally blow something up by mistake..."Jazz said.
"Yeah, wouldn't want to do that..."Danny said, still looking a little cautious.
"Look on the bright side, this just means you're gonna get stronger as you get older. Only good things can come from that..."Tucker said, trying to be optimistic.
His ghost sense suddenly went off and he grinned.
"Finally. Now, we're talking..."He said, ready for actions.
He ran behind a nearby tree and changed forms. He was now in his ghostly form.
"Now to find Helena..."Danny said, as he flew to the skies to find what triggered his ghost sense.
To his dismay, it wasn't Helena.
It was an ugly, blob like monster ghost. The same one that showed up a few months after the C.A.T. test scandal.
The dark haired man rolled his eyes upon seeing it wasn't the ghost who he wanted to fight.
"Oh great. Gruesome is back. This thing is almost as annoying as the Box Ghost..."Danny said, before sighing and cracking his knuckles.
The ghost monster saw him and growled at him, remembering he did to it not too long ago. The ghost man was unfazed, and rolled his eyes.
"Alright big, green and Gruesome. Are you ready for a rematch?..."Danny said, as he went to fight him.
"GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUGGGGGGHHHHHH!..."The giant, green blob ghost snarled, as he tried to attack.
However, one punch from Danny made the ghost splatter and it's going remains were sprayed all across the block, hitting various cars, windows, stalls...and even Danny's friends and sisters.
"Ugh! Not again!..."Jazz complained upon getting covered in goop.
"I don't think I'm ever gonna get used to this part of the job..."Tucker said, as he tried to wipe it off his clothes.
"You can say that again..."Sam said, as she tried to wipe that stuff out of her hair.
All the while, the ghostly man wasted no time in sucking the ghastly ghost into the thermos. He grinned and marveled over his new strength once again.
"Wow...even less time than with Skulker..."He said, pleased as he landed to where his friends and sister were.
"Hey, a little help..."Tucker complained, pointing to their current state.
Danny used intangibility to phase the green goop of him, as well as Sam and Jazz.
"Thanks..."Tucker said, happy to be clean again.
"Yeah, thanks..."Jazz said.
"Don't mention it..."He said, wiping his hands clean.
It was short lived as his ghost sense was triggered once again.
He sighed in irritation.
"Hopefully, this time it's the would-be Bridezilla..."He muttered, as he flew to see if it was her or not.
However, the sight of many large vines appearing and a certain screeching being heard dashed that theory.
"Foolish humans! Undergrowth has returned to act on the will of Mother Nature!..."The plant-like ghost shouted, as he appeared.
"Not him again!..."Danny complained, hand on his forehead.
"Oh man, he's back?!..."Tucker said, nervous.
"Oh great, him again!..."Sam said, glaring at the plant ghost who used her like a puppet.
Danny crakced his knuckles.
Seeing no other choice, the ghost man went to deal with him before this became another "Urban Jungle" incident.
"SHOW YOURSELF, GHOST BOY!..."Undergrowth shouted dramatically, wanting to face against his half-ghost enemy.
"Alright Undergrowth! Let's get this over with..."Danny said, presenting himself.
The plant ghost was shocked by what he was seeing. He raised a brow in confusion as he examined the ghost who was in front of him.
"That accursed ghost adolescent who destroyed my glorious garden? I see you have shot up like a weed much sooner than expected!..."He said, gesturing to Danny.
Danny sighed in irritation once more.
"This is temporary...hopefully. And no, I'm not gonna tell you how it happened, just know that I'm still here to get rid of some unsightly weeds like you!..."Danny said.
The plant monster villain just glared at him.
"No matter. Small or big, I will still get my revenge and regain my glorious garden, and turn it back to the paradise it once was!..."He declared.
"In your dreams, mulch for brains!..."Danny said as his eyes and fists glowed blue.
He shot an ice blast but to his shock, it was HUGE...much bigger than expected as it encased the evil plant ghost from the roots, all the way to his neck.
Undergrowth was shocked and struggling to get out.
"I-I-IMP-P-POS-S-SSIBLE! You're not just taller but more powerful as well?!..."He let out in a frozen induced stammered, as his entire body was frozen in a large block of ice, courtesy of the ghostly man.
Danny looked at his hands and smirked as he saw the raw power he had.
"Awesome! Now time to do some weed whacking!..."He said, as he went to deal with the plant ghost up close and personal.
2 minutes later
"No more! You can't do this to the-..."A defeated Undergrowth yelled as was reduced to a head after his body was destroyed.
"Oh, shut up!..."Danny said, as he decided to end it.
Once done, he pulled out his thermos and sucked the now defeated plant villain, Undergrowth unable to get away as he screeches in anger.
Once he was captured, he grinned.
Sure, this situation was complicated and had some downsides, but he managed to take down ghosts a lot faster and easier.
Undergrowth is no push-over in a fight, and the last time they fought, he nearly lost before learning of his ice power. To defeat him this easily was a relief to the ghost boy turned man.
"Okay, there are still some perks to this new body..."He said, happy that he managed to win with ease.
He was about to leave to rejoin his friends and sister. However, something happened that made him stop in mid-air and toll his eyes.
The ghost man could soon see and hear the sound of news helicopters heading his way.
"Oh crud..."He said, grumbling as he realized that he just made a rather notable spectacle.
The ghost man saw camera crew from News Channels 1, 8, 12 and 5 again. Even Lance Thunder was there, much to his dismay.
They all saw him and got in his personal space.
Danny saw all the news reporters, especially Harriet Chin, Tiffany Snow, Shelly Makamoto trying to get an interview with him and noticed how interested these women were.
"Handsome looking ghost man?! Who are you and judging from your outfit, are you in any relation to Danny Phantom?..."Shelley Makamoto asked, grinning.
"Are you here to replace him as the town's new hero/vigilante?..."Tiffany Snow asked, her face turning red.
"Are you married or seeing someone?..."Harriet Chin asked while the other reporters looked at her.
"Well, the people have a right to know..."She said, not at all sorry.
The cameras and microphones were getting closer, all while the half-ghost man rolled his eyes.
"And I just recalled the downsides..."He sighed as he knew he had to get away from here fast.
"Uh...sorry...gotta go. Always look both ways before crossing the street..."He said randomly before flying away.
As he flew, he looked back to all the women reporters watching him with lustful appearances.
"So much for keeping a low profile..."He muttered as he even see a sports blimp show off his ghostly adult's face on its big screen for the whole town to see.
He just wanted to get away and find Helena. He flew a little too fast but luckily didn't get into the atmosphere again. He stopped flying and sighed.
"Geez, and I thought outflying a space shuttle was fast enough..."He muttered.
He was about to land and try and find his sister and friends...only to pause when he noticed his surroundings.
He didn't see his small town of Amity Park, but rather a large city with many businesses and people who didn't notice him yet.
"I have a feeling that I'm not in Amity Park anymore..."He said, looking around.
The sight of the Statue of Liberty confirmed that theory. He sighed.
"This is so not what I meant when I said I'd love to go on a trip to New York one of these days..."He muttered as he began flying again to get back home.
As he flew, an elderly couple was taking a walk in a nearby park.
The wife looked up and noticed the ghost man before he vanished.
"What was that?..."The old lady asked, rubbing her eyes.
"You see something, Honey?..."Her husband asked.
"It's weird. I thought I saw a blur of black and white in the air and then...one blink later...it's gone..."His wife said, looking up.
Her husband, who didn't see anything, just shrugged.
"It was probably some bird flying by or one of those drones people use to be peeping toms..."Her husband suggested.
"Yeah. You're probably right, Dear..."His wife said, deciding to put it aside.
"Come on...we don't wanna be late for dinner at Big Otto's..."Her husband said, grinning.
"Just try and control yourself, Dear. The doctor said you need to watch your cholesterol..."His wife nagged.
Her husband groaned as he rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, yeah..."He said, not wanting to argue.
The couple continued their walk, unaware that they came across something unnatural.
Later
In Amity Park
"Where did he go?..."Jazz asked out loud.
"Try calling him..."Sam ordered.
Tucker tried, but frowned as he got no signal.
"I can't reach him. Oh man, I hope he didn't accidentally fly himself into space again..."He said, worried for his safety.
"Nope...just to New York this time..."Was heard.
The teens looked up and saw Danny flying towards them.
"Danny..."They all said, relieved.
"Glad to see you're okay..."Sam said, before pausing.
"New York?..."She asked, confused.
"Long story..."Danny said, as he landed and changed back to his human form.
He was both amazed and frustrated for many reasons right now.
"You okay?..."Jazz asked.
"Super bittersweet..."He said, frowning at his current status.
Her brother would have answered had it not been for someone approaching.
It was a brunette woman with short brown hair, a light tan and a purple dress with a short skirt and small straps.
She had a haughty kind of beauty that reminded him a bit of Paulina for a moment. It was evident in the smug, almost possessive smile on her face.
She was looking at him like she was starving and he was food.
She approached Danny, with a coquette yet confident expression on her face.
"Hey Stud? These your kids?..."The woman asked, as she eyed him appreciatively.
"Uh... no. I don't have kids, I'm too you- 24..."Danny said, hating that he almost slipped like that.
To his dismay, the woman smiled more and got closer, unintentionally shoving the others away from him.
"Rude much..."Sam complained, but she was ignored as the flirty lady kept trying to hit on Danny
"Oh... in that case... wanna ditch the brats and get to know each other... inside and out?..." She asks in a very suggestive manner, not seeing the death glare the goth girl was sending her.
"Oh, she did NOT just go there!..."Sam thought, shaking in anger.
"What a tramp!..."Jazz thought, not impressed with how shameless this woman was being.
"Lucky..."Tucker thought in mild envy, while the pushy lady hit on his bedt friend.
Danny, not getting her meaning, only getting how rude she was being, pushed her back and glared at her.
"Rude..."He said, disgusted.
The woman, not expecting this response, frowned and looked offended right now.
"Rude?! Come on! I'm giving you a once in a lifetime offer to take me out to dinner, preferrably a 4 star one..."The snooty lady said.
"No thanks, I'm not into cheap accessories. Plus, I wouldn't even invite someone like you to the Nasty Burger. Sorry, not sorry..."Danny said, angering the woman even more.
"Ugh! Whatever! I so don't care! It's your loss, loser!..." She went, turning around and walking away without looking back.
Once that rude lady left, the ghost man frowned. He was tired of all that being hit on for the day by a bunch of pushy women who can't seem to leave him alone.
"Okay, this is getting out of hand. I'm not waiting around for another woman trying to talk me into dating her or having kids with her or whatever..."Danny said, annoyed.
"What are you gonna do now?..."Sam asked, glad that shameless woman is gone now.
"I'm gonna go to the Ghost Zone and see if I can find Helena. Then I'm gonna use my new increased powers to make her change me back..."Danny said, pounding a fist into his hand.
"Need us to provide back up?..."Tucker asked.
"Not to brag, but you saw how strong I am now. You haven't seen how powerful I am when I use full power yet..."Danny said, knowing he could handle almost any threat now.
Before they could discuss it further, someone spotted Sam and stormed towards her.
"Sammy-kins?!..."Was heard.
"D'oh!..."Sam cursed as she saw her mother and father had arrived.
"There you are, young lady. What are you doing here as opposed to doing homework in your room?..."Her mother asked in a naggy way.
Sam rolled her eyes.
"Avoiding it, obviously..."Sam sassed.
Her mother frowned at her attitude.
"Don't take that tone with us young, lady!..."Pamela scolded.
"Your mother is right, Sam. You march your tucus back home ASAP!..."Jeremy said.
Sam rolled her eyes while Danny, still in his adult form, was watching from afar.
"I should do something..."He thought.
Recalling he was an adult, he decided to act like one.
"I expect you home before we make it there ourselves..."Pamela said, about to leave.
However, she stopped in place and turned around to see Danny. A much older Danny, that she clearly doesn't recognize, but couldn't take her eyes away from.
Danny was confused by her expression.
"What's with her?..."He thought, wondering what was going through Mrs. Manson's mind.
"What a tall drink of water!..."She thought, blushing and lost in what seemed to be a day-dream.
"Uh... Mrs. Manson?..." Danny asked, confused by her sudden silence and starry look in her eyes.
"Mom?..." Sam asked, not liking the look on her mother's face.
Her mother seemed to snap out of whatever daze she was in and quickly tidied herself up.
She cleared her throat and brushed a bit of her hair to the side, as if she thought it would make her more fetching to this apparent stranger's eyes.
"Oh, uh...who is this?..."Pamela asked, giving him a quick glance.
"Oh...this is Dante Fenalton. He's a...distant relative of Danny, who is in town for a while..."Sam lied.
"It's nice to meet you, Mr. and Mrs. Manson..."Dante said, holding his hand out.
"I'm sure it is..."Jeremy said, refusing to shake his hand.
His wife, however, was giggling as she took it instead using both her hands.
"Oh...uh...it's a pleasure. Always a pleasure to meet a relative of those wonderful Fentons..."Pamela said in a strangely nice way.
Danny, Sam and Jeremy were surprised by her reaction.
"Dear?..." Jeremy asks as she ignored him.
"Dear?..."He repeated in a louder voice, though Pamela's expression didn't break at all.
"Not now..." She said, without even taking her eyes away from the adult Danny.
"Uh... anyway... please excuse your daughter. Her friend, Danny, who is totally my cousin, said she could help me with something while I was here..."He lied, hoping that she bought what he just said.
To his surprise, she kept smiling and nodding right now.
"Oh, in that case... Sam can stay out all she needs to if you need her! No problems here!..." Pamela said with a huge grin on her face.
As everyone stared at her as if she went crazy, Danny slowly inched back.
"O... kay... I'm... going to check a different store. Nice seeing y- meeting you..." Danny said as he left.
Sam followed, unsure of just what was happening to her mother. As they left, Pamela was blushing and had hearts practically floating above her head.
"Oh my! Those Fentons should have brought him here a long time ago!~..."She said, still lovestruck.
Jeremy heard this and frowned angrily.
"I do not like the way you said that!..."He said, glaring.
His wife didn't seem to hear him as she kept staring longingly in the direction where their daughter and that extremely handsome and buff man had left.
One she wanted to see again soon.
With Danny and the others
"That was weird..."He commented, recalling Mrs. Manson's behavior.
"I'll say..."Sam said, wondering what had come over her mother.
"I don't think I ever saw her being nice like that. It's almost scary..."Danny said as he went behind a nearby tree and changed forms.
He was now in his ghost form and hovered up.
"Time to fly home and get to the Ghost Zone. Hopefully someone might have some clue where that mad-women went..."Danny said as he prepared to go.
"So... just a thought... but what if the Lunch Lady, Spectra or Desiree see you and-..."Sam was cut off when her aged friend suddenly shuddered.
"Please don't finish that question!..." Danny said quickly, looking like he was trying hard NOT to imagine them hitting on him right now.
"Sorry..." Sam went.
The boy turned man then took a breath.
"Never mention that again. I don't want to even think about how any of the lady ghosts will react if they ever see me like this..."Danny muttered, already having issue with his current state of attracting women too old for him.
Thankfully he shook those thoughts away for now and focused on what was really important.
Such as finding that crazy lazy ghost and fixing the mess she caused.
"Well... best of luck..." Sam said as Danny waved to her.
The ghost man took to the skies, heading straight towards Fenton Works and their man-made Ghost Portal.
Before he attracts more of the wrong kind of women.
Later
The ghost man was currently on his way to begin his search for the crazed Bridezilla in the Ghost Zone.
The only woman he was looking for and the one who can undo this mess.
"She better be in the Ghost Zone, cause I'm starting to lose places on where to look for her. I'll pry that thing from her arms if I have to..."He thought, as he kept flying.
However, something loud and ear-piecing had caught his attention.
"Please be reacting to a rat, please be reacting to a rat, please be..."
"AHHHHHHHH!..."A scream of terror was loudly heard and it was followed by an animalistic sound.
Danny stopped mid-flight and rolled his eyes, he couldn't help himself, but do his heroic duty and checked to see what the commotion was all about.
"A superhero's work is never done..."He said, as he flew down to deal with whatever danger it is.
There, he saw Paulina running from a large ghost wolf.
"Someone save me! Preferably the ghost boy!..." She called out.
"Let's make this quick..." Danny muttered, wanting to get this over with as quickly as possible, so he can get back on track.
He then flew towards the wolf, grabbed it by the tail before swinging it over his head and throwing it sky high.
"Huh... it's gone..." He thought.
"Ghost boy?!..." Paulina questioned, looking shocked and stunned as she examined him.
"Ghost man for now..." Danny said, while the dark haired girl checked out his new appearance.
She seemed to be entranced right now, excited even.
"Do all ghosts age this fast?!..." Paulina asked in a lustful tone, unable to take her eyes off him right now.
"No... this is just temporary..." Danny went before he heard the sound of a photo being taken.
He instantly suspected Paulina, who hid something behind her back.
"Did you just take a photo of me like this?..."He accused.
"No..." Paulina stretched in faux-innocence, hiding her phone behind her back.
Danny didn't trust this and sighed bitterly, knowing that she likely will refuse to delete it.
"Hopefully this will all go back to normal tomorrow..."He said as he tried to fly away.
"Wait, let me get a selfie with you..."Paulina called out.
"Sorry, can't stay..."Danny said as he flew away.
Paulina was still drooling and almost swooned.
"That's how my ghost boy looks like grown up, he's even MORE gorgeous than I could have ever imagine! Him and that other hottie from earlier... I can't wait to get older!..."Paulina said, acting like a child with a daydream.
In the air
"Why do I get the feeling that I just made Paulina even more into my ghost half now?..."Danny thought, wondering if this will come back to haunt him later.
Danny took in a breath, as he kept flying and trying to find the crazy ghost lady who took away 10 years of his life, completely ready to track her down and give her a double dose of his new powered up ghost knuckles.
His ghost sense never went off, indicating no ghost were in town right now, much less the one he was looking for.
"Okay...there is a chance that she's in the Ghost Zone? She just has to be, where else could she be?..." He asks himself.
That's when a blast almost hit him, forcing him to pull back. He saw who it was that fired that shot.
"Valerie?!..."Danny exclaimed, as his ex-girlfriend/rival aimed at him.
"Hold still, gho- wait... Phantom?!..."Valerie exclaimed, sounding surprised once she recognized him.
"Yeah... uh... long story... one I hope to have end with undoing this... As cool as it is to be old enough to go into certain places legally, I- why are you looking at me like that?..."He asked, as he noticed that Valerie made no move to attack him again.
He also noticed that she was unusually quiet right now. In fact, Valerie stared slack jawed for a moment, before shaking her head and looking away.
This confused him even more now.
"Val-..."He was then cut off by the female ghost hunter.
"J-Just go!..."She demanded, but not looking at him directly right now.
This surprised Danny to say the least.
"Huh? You're not gonna fire at-..."He was cut off when the female hunter pointed away.
"LEAVE! Take your... shockingly broad shoulders that makes me forget that you're a ghost!..." Valerie insisted, her face as red as the visor she wore.
"Why... would my shoulders make you-..."He tried, but she cut him off again.
"Just go!..." She went, covering her face.
She then flew away, making sure not to look at him. Danny was confused by this reaction and came to a realization.
"Valerie actually let me go? Even she thinks I'm hot like this..."He said, as he smiled at how amusing it was and was even briefly remembered of his own encounter with her future self thinking he was cute.
He chuckled a bit.
A part of him was still kind of fond of her, so he didn't really mind the idea of her finding his older self attractive, even if he knew he couldn't act on such a fact.
"Heh...at least one good thing happened from this whole thing. Plus, she was hot as an adult too..."He said to himself.
He decided to just head back home and head to the ghost zone, knowing that the sooner he changes back to normal, the better.
Unknown to him, a certain spy bug saw him and sent video images to a certain someone who just can't leave him be.
Oh boy.
