AN: Sorry for the delay… been coughing up a storm/feeling like shit (and no it's not covid lol, i tested negative).

But anywho, aight, the time spacing in this ch might be a little funky? 0_o this was actually supposed to be ch 9 but i switched it to ch 10 cause it made more sense technically *wheezes* but this ch is basically a speed run of their dates over time, ergo we are time-skipping around whenever i cut scenes :V

There's no specific order in time except that it's within a three-month time span… cause yah know, u-haul lesbians and their busy work schds hahaha

And also, the beginning of the chapter technically continues sometime after the last chapter of Caitlyn's family dinner visit.

After they officially started dating, at some point after getting to know each other's…bodies, they had a thorough talk about what to expect in their relationship. Most of it was the good old stuff; like one another's likes and dislikes, addressing pet peeves, and even setting boundaries with personal day-by-day and even bedroom preferences.

It was a decently long talk however, the one thing that stuck out the most with Vi was how Caitlyn was extremely adamant about urging that if she doesn't respond to her texts or calls, it isn't because she was ignoring her. It was because she was busy and if she was ever late for anything, she was deeply sorry and would respond asap. Of course, Vi insisted that she was fine and reassured her that it was no big deal.

It was the truth.

Vi honestly understood where she was coming from and was fully aware of the 'downsides' of dating someone in Caitlyn's position. But… despite her own reassurance and pet talk that day, that didn't stop Vi from being anxious at the restaurant they were supposed to be eating at together.

Almost thirty minutes ago at that.

Not to mention it was their 'first date' in public which held some meaning. When she first arrived at the restaurant, she texted the doctor. Her girlfriend was supposed to be on the way so she asked for her ETA. She didn't reply of course so Vi assumed she was probably close by. By the ten-minute mark, she caved in and grabbed a table after much pestering from the host. At the twenty mark, she ordered a random appetizer to avoid stares, and then at the twenty-five mark, she realized that Caitlyn had stood her up.

Well, not stand her up but she probably wasn't going to show up tonight. She spent the rest of her time finishing her salsa and chips at a normal eating pace rather than at an uber-slow pace while swallowing at the thought of Caitlyn standing her up. Caitlyn couldn't possibly have done that considering how attracted she was to her… right? And to be fair, Caitlyn gave her a disclaimer… but Vi didn't think it would be this quick. Kind of ironic and funny honestly.

Their first 'official' date turned out to be a bust.

At the thirty-minute mark, Vi was up out of her seat and heading to the front to pay. She wasn't about to stay there longer than necessary and alone at that. When she looked at the time, it was almost time for sunset meaning… it would be dark by the time she was home. Talk about a disappointing night. She was hoping to get into a certain someone's pants again and wake in her arms the next morning but, considering that wasn't the case tonight, Vi stuffed her hands into her jacket's pocket before heading down the street.

Her eyes then flickered toward the sun spilling over the horizon. She stared at it for a second before glancing at the clock tower located not too far away. Humming to herself, Vi checked the time again. She then thought about it for a second and searched for the train departure times on her phone before making up her mind.

"Alright, whatever. Fuck it. Yolo."

She quickly made her way through town and in no time, she was at the top of a building with a clear view of the sky. Specifically, the clock tower that she had seen in front of the restaurant although she had made her way up there in a more… reclusive way. Thrilling to say the least. She hadn't scaled a building in quite some time but the only reason she did 'trespass' in the first place was that the clock tower was closed despite being open to the public.

Quite ridiculous if one were to ask Vi.

Caitlyn probably wouldn't approve of her adventures but she was glad she did because the moment she laid eyes on the view, a huge grin formed on her lips. She quickly pulled out her phone and took several pictures until she had the perfect one. She then sent Caitlyn that picture with a short caption:

Missed you tonight but I hope you saved whoever that was!

"Vi, I am so sorry I missed our date last time."

Chuckling softly, Vi held Caitlyn's hand tighter before swinging their hands back and forth slightly. "And for the last time, it's okay Cait. Besides, I was able to watch an amazing sunset thanks to it."

Caitlyn's face softened slightly as they continued walking toward the movie theater. "It was quite beautiful."

"Exactly so don't beat yourself up too much alright?" She leaned in to kiss her cheek, "I know what I signed up for and you made it painfully obvious about your circumstances before we started dating."

"Still, that does not mean I do not feel bad…" she sighed before making eye contact with the movie posters. "What do you want to watch? It will be on me."

"Aw you don't have to Cupcake, it's fine."

"Please, I insist. Let me treat you."

Vi snickered before teasing back, "You treat me so much in bed already though."

Caitlyn bit her lip while giving her a look. She glared at her for a second before speaking in a hushed yet husky voice. "Violet… watch it, we are in public."

"Aww, what are you gonna do? Punish me or something?"

An eyebrow rose as Caitlyn held eye contact. She let the silence linger before eventually ignoring her on purpose and continuing on with their previous conversation. "Are you feeling classic or modern or whatever is showing right now?"

Vi glanced over to look at the selection. "Well… I haven't seen the new John Wick movie yet."

"Then that one is it." With that decided, Caitlyn gently tugged Vi forward.

Once they were up at the teller, Caitlyn purchased two tickets, paid for them of course, and surprisingly they got relatively good seats. And thankfully the next showing was soon so after they made their way inside, they bought some popcorn and drinks before making their way into the theater. Once they were settled in their seats, Vi pulled back the armrest before settling into Caitlyn's side.

A love seat one could say.

While Vi made herself at home, Caitlyn glanced around the theater to observe their surroundings. Most of the people there were sitting normally in their seats without the armrest pulled up and a few of them were like themselves, sitting like an affectionate couple. To be frank, it made her feel slightly off because she wasn't used to, well… not being single for one, and two, being out in public on her day off. She was normally a homebody but this was Vi's idea actually.

"You know, I have not been to the movie theaters in years now."

"You haven't?" Vi exclaimed in a hushed voice, "Hmm… what a shame. You've missed out on some good ones then." She then turned to face her, "Wait— don't tell me you haven't seen Puss In Boots: The Last Wish?"

"I have not."

Gasping in shock, Vi gave her a disappointed look. "You're missing out then Cupcake because Death is just," she threw her a chef's kiss. "You gotta watch it to appreciate him, I ain't into guys let alone furries but let's just say…" she clicked her tongue with a wink.

The movie's ads began to air and Caitlyn chuckled at her silly remark before leaning in to whisper into her ear. "We will have to watch it sometime later then."

Vi turned her face to whisper back. "I will hold you to that promise then." She kissed her cheek before leaning back and sticking her hand into the popcorn bag. She chewed a few pieces before offering Caitlyn some. "Want a bite?"

"No thank you, I am fine."

"Suit yourself," she then grabbed a bunch in her hand before munching away.

They settled into their seats and as the movie progressed, the more Caitlyn's face scrunched. Vi happened to glance at Caitlyn when she did that and after a moment, she realized it was because of the injuries that were happening. Every time a character got shot or stabbed or even slammed, Caitlyn frowned every time. Vi thought it was cute and so on point with her occupation.

Of course, she'd be worried about the movie characters' injuries.

Another thing that Vi noticed was despite the painful-looking injuries, Caitlyn kept a stoic face the entire time. Calm and composed really. In those instances, her girlfriend looked so cool that she was in awe. It made her wonder what kind of face Caitlyn had at work and what type of patients she has treated in her life. It wasn't until one of the characters got his hand stabbed that made Vi winced terribly. She let out a queasy noise before turning to whisper into Caitlyn's ear.

"Oh god, that must hurt."

Caitlyn's eyes never left the screen as she leaned into Vi to whisper back.

"It would," she confirmed before expanding, "especially if it cuts through your nerves and tendons."

Vi glances back at the screen before turning away into Caitlyn's neck. "I can't stand the graphicness." She confessed before pressing her face into her skin. "Let me know when it's over."

In response, Caitlyn kissed the side of Vi's head. "Alright."

To Vi's unknowing surprise, Caitlyn cuddled her more tightly, possessive even, as she held onto her hand firmer. Vi let out a breath of relief but was still somewhat squirmy thanks to the audio sound effects. Once the scene was 'officially' over, Caitlyn breathed into her ear before whispering, "It is over now."

Sighing in relief, Vi slowly turned around to face the screen. She ended up shifting slightly to get comfortable but quickly settled into their more intimate cuddle for the rest of the movie.

Snorting out loud, Vi almost choked her burger. She coughed a few times before taking a sip of water. "N-No way, you have to be kidding me Cait! There is no freaking way someone got a wine bottle stuck up their ass and then got a hanger stuck trying to get it out!"

Caitlyn set down her fork and knife before huffing out loud. "Violet, do not even get me started. I do not understand why people do not just use proper dildos!" She exclaimed with much oomph. "You have to have a base or it will disappear without a trace!"

Unable to stop herself, Vi busted out loud, laughing so hard that those seated beside them shot them a look. Caitlyn noticed and gave them a remorseful smile while Vi wiped away her tears.

"Oh my god— you did not just rhyme!" She snickered some more before wheezing out loud. "Don't tell me you've been planning that one?"

Smiling thinly, Caitlyn avoided eye contact. "Well… I may have been perhaps thinking about that for quite some time now…"

That made Vi crack up even more. "God— Cupcake, you—" Her breathing got so ragged that she had to brace her stomach to stop herself from shaking so much. "D-Dammit! It hurts to laugh!"

Caitlyn finally cracked a smile. Her lips thinned out and she couldn't hold it in. She laughed alongside Vi and after they got it out of their systems, Caitlyn took a sip of some wine. "You know, I would never thought I would be talking about…" she paused to think about phrasing. "Such topics while eating dinner. On a date nonetheless."

Vi's smile never left her lips as she picked up her burger. "Let's just say you tickled my fancy." She winked before adding, "And honestly, not gonna lie, I've always been curious about ER horror stories. Shrubs and Grey's Anatomy don't count yah know?" She then took a healthy bite of her burger.

Immediately rolling her eyes at those titles, Caitlyn cut off another slice of steak. "Never count on television for accuracy." She popped a small piece into her mouth and chewed on it before adding, "They always dramatize spicy romance too."

Laughing for the nth time, Vi licked the sauce off her fingers. "Aww, so you're telling me that no one in your department is fucking around in the closet or shower rooms?

"No," Caitlyn responded flatly before scrunching her nose. "Well, actually… we all have this suspicion that these two have feelings for each other but will they ever admit it? That is the ongoing bet."

"Shut up, y'all have an ongoing bet?!" Vi beamed as she leaned in closer. "You gotta tell me all the deeds now Cupcake! What made it obvious?"

Caitlyn dabbed her mouth before starting, "Well… it all started when…"

A dinner that should have been about thirty minutes ended up lasting an hour. There were plenty of other patrons that came and went within the time the two of them were there. The servers might have also been annoyed by their antics but hey, they couldn't complain. The two of them left a very generous tip before they left their table. However, just as the two of them made their way to the door, a sudden loud grunt made Caitlyn turn.

"Honey?" The woman who was seemingly the man's wife asked, "You okay?"

The large and gruffly man didn't respond as he held his neck.

"Honey!"

It didn't take much for Caitlyn to realize that he was choking and she quickly shoved her purse at Vi before rushing over. Once at their table, she quickly introduced herself and asked if the man was alright. He pointed at his throat before Caitlyn excused herself and quickly pulled the middle-aged man onto his feet. He was clearly on the heavier side so a part of Vi was amazed that Caitlyn managed to maneuver him so easily.

Within seconds, Caitlyn had her arms wrapped around his abdomen before she started counting out loud. "One, two, three." She jerked his body upward, trying to clear out his airway. "One, two, three." A few more tries were all it took for the man to cough out whatever he choked on. He coughed a few times before thanking the doctor.

"T-Thank you miss."

Caitlyn just gave him a warm smile. "It was my pleasure but do me the favor of chewing more slowly next time will you?"

He nodded and after a few thanks from the couple and even the restaurant staff, Caitlyn continued on with her night. When she made eye contact with Vi, her eyes widened when she remembered.

"Oh my gosh, I am so sorry Vi! I did not mean to abandon you like that."

Vi held the door open for her girlfriend and once they were outside, she gushed praise.

"Are you kidding me, Caitlyn?! You just saved his life, that was so amazing!" She lifted her arms and mimicked the actions Caitlyn had been doing. "How'd you even do that?"

Feeling her cheeks grow warm, Caitlyn ended up bashfully tucking a strand of hair behind her hair before responding. "It is just basic CPR Vi, if you would like, I can teach you someday? The Heimlich maneuver is not that hard."

Vi puckered her lips slightly before sleazing, "Only if you promise to teach me mouth-to-mouth as well then deal."

"Pfft—" Caitlyn covered her mouth before giving her a pleasant smile. "Deal."

After sneakily raising her camera, Vi quickly adjusted the settings to match today's sunny weather. A few clicks later, the shutters snapped, capturing the goddess sitting before her reading a book on a picnic blanket. The goddess, aka her girlfriend, was wearing a light blue sundress with a white sun hat that completed the look. However, thanks to the camera noises, her girlfriend was quick to notice her actions as Vi took a few more pictures, capturing the moment inch by inch when Caitlyn began reaching up to cover her beautiful face and block her wonderful view.

"Vi, how many pictures are you going to take of me now?!" Caitlyn half exclaimed in an upset voice as she tried suppressing her giggle.

Obnoxiously running around to capture her face at another angle, Vi had a bright grin as she continued to take pictures. "But I have such a beautiful lady to capture!"

"Pfft—" Caitlyn shook her head as she held her mouth. She set down her book and quickly remembered that she was supposed to be mad before clearing her throat and picking up her empty glass. "Well, your beautiful lady could use some more lemonade."

It was a joke but Caitlyn knew Vi would stop whatever she was doing to please her.

She was right.

Vi lowered her camera before briskly walking over to grab the pitcher of lemonade from the nearby picnic basket. "Anything for you my lady," she then grabbed Caitlyn's glass and filled it up for her. "Anything else my love~"

Caitlyn rolled her eyes at how sweet Vi sounded because for one, it was true, she was really sweet. And two, she was too adorable to resist. The moment Vi handed her the glass, Caitlyn reached forward to grab it but went past the glass and latched onto her wrist. She then tugged Vi forward, which surprised her, before pulling her down into her lap.

"Sit with me."

"What?! Awww, but I don't want to!" Vi quickly protested as she tried wiggling away while awkwardly holding her camera and the glass.

Caitlyn kindly snatched the glass from her hand to help Vi not spill her precious lemonade before manhandling her around. She shot her a look before kissing her cheek and setting the glass aside. "Come on, I am tired of sitting." She then managed to get Vi to sit down before climbing over her legs. "If you keep insisting on staring at me, at least be useful."

Vi immediately shot her a confused look but before she could ask, Caitlyn made herself comfortable and at home on Vi's lap. That's when it clicked for Vi. A lap pillow. Vi ended up letting out a little "Ah" before not knowing what to do with her hands as her girlfriend was using her thighs as a cushion.

"The weather is incredibly nice today… perfect for a nap." Caitlyn then turned in toward her stomach before readjusting her sun hat. "Wake me up in thirty darling."

More incoherent noises left Vi's lips before she accepted her fate. She ended up sighing softly before brushing a strand of hair out of Caitlyn's face. She was quick to smile at her girlfriend, relishing this precious moment, before brushing the back of her hand across her cheek. In response, Caitlyn let out a soft hum before cuddling into her hand. Vi chuckled at her reaction before running her thumb across her lips.

"You look cute babe."

Caitlyn's nose scrunched as she snugged more closely into Vi's stomach. "Shhh…"

Vi chuckled again before leaning back on her hands and getting comfortable. "Sleep tight Caitlyn."

In no time, Vi could hear Caitlyn's breathing level out, meaning she fell asleep. Fast as usual Vi mused to herself. She ended up watching her girlfriend sleep for a moment before giving in and awkwardly grabbing her camera to take a picture of Caitlyn sleeping. A few pictures later, she adjusted her camera to take a picture of the two of them. By the time her picture-taking muses were finally stated, she set down her camera to fully relish the moment. Luckily the sun wasn't too harsh so Vi could enjoy the warmth tickling her skin without discomfort. She closed her eyes before taking a deep breath.

"God, today is such a nice day…"

Scrunching her nose, Caitlyn still couldn't believe her eyes. As a random documentary about nature played in the background, she watched as Vi finished the last bite of her pizza crust with the happiest groan ever.

"Oh my god, this pizza is the best…"

Caitlyn's eyes trailed over to the box of pizza on her living room table. She then eyed those pineapple chunks sitting beside her delicious half of the pizza.

"I still cannot believe you like pineapple on pizza."

Vi jutted her lips slightly before sparing her girlfriend a look. "Hey, leave my pineapples alone! I didn't say anything about your boujee truffles." She argued back before leaning forward to grab her glass and sipping on some chilled coke.

"Well pardon me for enjoying exquisite tastes." Caitlyn shot back to defend her honor. "It sort of happens when you are born into a noble family."

Snorting at that note, Vi shrugged her shoulders. "And pineapple is what us commoners like."

Caitlyn rolled her eyes with a smile, knowing they could go back and forth for hours, before snuggling into Vi's side. She ended up wrapping her arm around Vi's before lifting up her legs, tucking them close to her chest, and turning her attention back to the documentary. "As long as you do not steal my slices, you are free to eat what you like."

Vi took in a deep breath as if she was contemplating her options before hugging Caityln obnoxiously. "Well, I like eating you." Caitlyn smacked Vi with the back of her head before Vi corrected herself. "I mean eating your goods—" Caitlyn immediately smacked her again but this time, with her hand. "I mean your snacks… cause you're a fine snacc."

Snorting at that comment, Caitlyn pinched her thigh. "Darling, I have told you before but you do not have to make corny jokes to sleep with me."

"Aww, but I love flirting with you Cupcake." She gave Caitlyn's head an obnoxious loud kiss. "You make me want to flirt with you!" She then leaned in to kiss her cheek, "And I know for a fact you love it Cupcake."

Caitlyn's eyebrow twitched at that note. "That is…" she huffed in defeat before looking back at the TV. "Correct."

Vi snickered before hugging her tightly. "Knew it."

They settled down shortly after and at some point, Caitlyn noticed Vi dipping forward slightly. It happened a few more times until finally, Vi slumped into her body. Caitlyn turned slightly to confirm her thoughts and she was right. Vi had fallen asleep and it was more endearing than it should have been. Smiling on that note, Caitlyn kissed her forehead before relaxing in her position. She looked back at the TV until at some point, she fell asleep as well.

Caitlyn wasn't sure what came over her but out of nowhere, she popped a question as she watched Vi scratch her bare stomach while they binged watched a Netflix series. Something about that sight was so endearing and Vi looked so magical for some reason that at that instinct, she knew she could watch her forever. Her mouth opened and she nonchalantly asked, "Do you want to move in with me?"

Blinking repeatedly, Vi turned to look at her girlfriend before doing a double take. "Pardon?"

The habit of using more 'etiquette' words began rubbing off on Vi recently.

"Do you want to move in with me?" Caitlyn repeated in a more firm and annunciated tone. However, when the realization of the gravity of her words set in, her eyes widened slightly as she grew quickly flustered. "I—I mean, you practically live in my house at this point! It would save the trouble of heading over to my house every time and we would not have to try so hard to meet up outside our jobs and well— I have plenty of unused rooms as well and it would really not hurt me if you claimed a room or two for yourself!" She spat out in a rapid-fire burst while breathing heavily before clearing her throat and bashfully tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "I love you!"

Both their eyes widened at that sudden confession.

Cairlyn's face grew bright red before she floundered her hands about. "Wait— that is not what I meant. I take it back!"

Vi immediately shot her a look with a small pout.

Her eyes widened in shock. "What? Wait, no no no! Oh god no!" She quickly denied it with much oomph, "I do love you! I just— I know we have not known each other for that long but I just feel this connection with you and I—" she swatted her hand at Vi, "and you are just—" she groaned in heavy embarrassment before face-palming herself. "Oh god, I am such a mess… Please kill me now."

A smile finally cracked on Vi's face and she couldn't take it anymore. She started laughing out loud, so hard that she had to hold onto her stomach to brace the cramps. Caitlyn glared at her with this cute pout before lightly smacking Vi on the arm. Her girlfriend only snickered with this crooked grin before wiping away her tears and giving her a sleazy yet flirtatious look. She then leaned forward and kissed her cheek.

"I love you too Cupcake."

That shut Caitlyn up from further fumbling and she froze with a slight pout. Her nervous look quickly grew into a bashful and warm smile. She then leaned in to kiss her girlfriend's lips and when they parted, Vi brushed the back of her hand on Caitlyn's cheek before whispering her response, all while holding eye contact.

"And… I would love to move in with you if you're serious."

Caitlyn blinked a few times as if she was processing Vi's answer before melting into this sweet smile. She brought up her hand to cup Vi's cheek, looking her in the eyes with this loving look, before leaning in to claim her lips. It was a gentle, soft, and chaste kiss and when they parted, they smiled at each other with a giddy chuckle.

It was moving in day.

Vi lifted up the last box off the U-Haul truck before hauling it into Caitlyn's condo. Even though she had already unloaded most of her boxes inside her girlfriend's home, or rather her home, everything still felt so surreal. She never thought she would be stuffing her belongings into a measly five boxes. Well, given the fact that a decent amount of her clothes were actually already in Caitlyn's closet so that helped with the packing. Meaning, the rest of her clothes and random trinkets managed to fit into three boxes while the other two were filled to the brim with camera gear.

Once she was inside her new home, Vi set down the box on the kitchen counter. She then scratched the shaved side of her head before looking at all her boxes. She glared at them for a moment before looking at the time. A sigh ended up leaving her mouth before she mumbled to herself.

"Guess I'll unpack my shit before Caitlyn gets home…"

She then cracked her knuckles before making herself at home. Her clothes were quite easy to put away since she just slipped them into Caitlyn's closet where her other ones were. The main issue though was her camera gear. She had vaguely asked Caitlyn about it earlier and her girlfriend did say she was free to do whatever with the second room on the right but something about completely claiming it as her own felt wrong.

So instead… she ended up fiddling with one of Caitlyn's recreational rooms. And yes, she had a few of those. The rooms each had a different theme to them such as a mini movie theater, a mini bar, and even a mini and cozy library but the main room she was focused on was her art gallery room. As Vi took in the details of this room, she really was amazed that Caitlyn owned pretty much all of her works. They were either hung on the wall or displayed inside a flipbook but Vi could tell… she could tell that her girlfriend was very much, in fact, a huge simp for her work.

Her number one fangirl one could even say.

A small chuckle left Vi's lips as she walked over to a somewhat sparse wall before messing around with her arrangement. Hopefully, Caitlyn wouldn't mind when she found out but Vi had a little surprise for her for the next time she comes into this room. She neatly set up and strung a few pictures on the wall before stepping back to take a good look. She cocked her eyebrow up before tilting her head slightly. After gauging the wall for quite some time, she hummed before smiling.

"It's perfect."

Letting out a giddy chuckle, she turned away to get back to working on her camera room. Okay, so maybe fiddling around with Caitlyn's art room sparked some motivation to set up her equipment. She couldn't help it. She did always dream about having her own studio one day. Sure, she made enough money to be comfortable but with her sister's (ridiculous) intuition fees, her dreams got pushed back. She didn't mind though. One day, Powder will make it big and back her back tenfold so it was all good.

By the time she set up all her camera racks and rigs, she worked up a little sweat so she decided to call it good for today. She made her way back to the living room and fished out some bathroom supplies from the last box. And, while she was at it, she put away some of those supplies as well. When she was officially finished putting away her belongings, she grabbed the last of her toiletries and headed for the bathroom.

The one connected to Caitlyn's bedroom.

After all… she was going to sleep in her room so it made sense for her to put her belongings there. Taking a step into their bedroom, for some reason, Vi felt bashful as she made her way over to the bathroom with a small white towel and toothbrush in hand. Once she was inside, she placed her toothbrush into the cup holder next to Caitlyn's brush before smiling happily.

It was official.

No more using mouthwash or borrowing a random brush when she stayed for the night. It was her own toothbrush. That made Vi feel all bubbly on the inside before she reached forward to turn the faucet on. She slashed her face with some cool water before dabbing her face with her towel. What made her jump slightly was when Caitlyn came up from behind and pulled her into a sweet hug.

"I hope you have made yourself at home…?" Her girlfriend asked gingerly before kissing her neck.

Vi turned to face her before giving her a small grin and kissing her lips. "Yeah, I did actually. I left you a surprise in her art gallery room."
