Chapter 30.

Olivia pulled into the driveway with an enormous smile on her lips. This morning, she had noticed that she was finally looking pregnant. Between that and how good things were going with Sonny, she couldn't stop smiling or being happy. It was a good change.

She parked her vehicle before climbing out slowly. She looked around to see if it looked like he was home, but didn't have time to continue looking because Noah was running away from the car and up the path.

"Noah!" Olivia exclaimed, hoping to slow her son down.

Noah ignored his mother, as he rang the doorbell then knocked on the door. Olivia reached his side as the door opened, and Cragen stood and looked them over.

"Olivia? Noah?" Cragen questioned, his eyes wide with surprise.

"Hey, Captain," Olivia smiled as she gently touched her son's back.

"What are you two doing here? Did I miss a text or call from you?" He asked, confused. Olivia had been so busy lately that she hadn't had time to contact the man that was pretty much a father to her. He was there for her when everyone else walked away.

"We wanted to surprise you!" Noah exclaimed, as he rocked back and forth on the heels of his snow boots.

"Well, then come in," Cragen smiled. He stepped out of the way and let Noah and Olivia in. Once their coats were shed and hung up, Cragen drew them into hugs.

"I'm sorry I didn't warn you first, Don. Noah insisted we surprise you." Olivia spoke, as they were led into the living room. The room was warm thanks to a large fire in the fireplace.

"That's fine, Liv. Now, what did I do to deserve this visit?"

Noah quickly looked at his mother, as he shoved his hands into the front pocket of his sweatshirt.

"You can tell him, sweet boy," Olivia smiled. Noah quickly pulled the glossy image from his sweatshirt. Noah walked to where Cragen sat in his recliner before passing him the picture.

The older man looked at the picture for a long moment before lifting his eyes to look at Olivia. He had watched Olivia grow from a lonely new detective to a strong and fierce leader and mother. Now she was going to have another child that would be incredibly lucky to have her as a mother.

"Olivia, are you pregnant?" He asked.

"Yes, sir. I am… it wasn't something anyone expected, but we are all looking forward to this baby." Olivia face flushed and a smile on her lips.

"Elliot must be excited," Cragen smiled, as he passed the sonogram back to Noah. He watched as the little boy sighed and walked to where his mother sat.

"Elliot isn't the father, sir. We actually don't talk much." Olivia exhaled.

"You two were very close at the party," Cragen frowned.

"We were, but things changed."

"What changed, Benson?" Cragen asked softly. Olivia turned to her son, before smiling.

"Sweetie, would you like to see the backyard? Last time we were here, he had the swing set for you and his girlfriend's grandkids," Olivia spoke.

"You could just tell me to plug my ears," Noah sighed, knowing what was going to be discussed. He ran and got his coat, before heading out the back sliding door. Olivia stood and went to watch her son as he trudged towards the swing set.

"Olivia-"

"Dani Beck decided to drug me and Dominick Carisi. She was jealous that I was with Elliot and took matters into her own hands. So, this baby is Sonny's," Olivia explained.

"I can't believe that she did that." Cragen frowned, as he leaned forward in his chair.

"You aren't the first to be shocked, Don. Everyone who knew her from before was shocked."

"Did you press charges?" Cragen mused.

"Yeah," Olivia replied plainly.

"When is the trial?" Cragen questioned, as Olivia turned away from where she had been watching Noah.

"I don't know yet, but soon, hopefully. I'd like to not be the size of a whale when I have to testify," Olivia said with a weak laugh.

"Does 1PP know what's happening?" Cragen questioned.

"They will soon, sir. It's just that we want to get through the trial and then tell them."

"Do you want me to be there?"

"At the trial?" Olivia questioned, shocked.

"To be moral support, kid," Cragen spoke. Olivia shook her head as she forced a smile.

"Right now, I think I'll be okay. We are trying to keep this quiet, and if a bunch of cops show up… it'll be far from quiet."
