Thank you for all the reviews, I love to hear your thoughts.

After the day passed, they both found themselves sitting in the living room. Voight watching the tv and Hailey staring off into space.

Her mind is all over the place and so is her emotions. She is not sure what to feel.

Sad?

Happy?

Angry?

Confused?

Voight looks over to Hailey and watches her for a few moments. She is sitting on the other side of the couch next to Voight. She has her feet tugged under her and she is wrapped up in her duvet.

Hailey is definitely far away in thought because she is staring blankly at the floor and has not even noticed that Voight is watching her.

"Hailey." She is so far away in thought that she does not even hear her name.

"Hailey." The second time Voight says her name she looks up.

Voight lifts his arm and gestures for her to come closer. "Come."

After Hailey just stares at him, Voight gestures again. "Come here."

A moment later, Hailey gets up and moves closer still with her duvet wrapped around her. She then sits down next to Voight and he places his arm around her and pulls her into an embrace with her head ending up on Voight's chest, tugged away under his chin.

Hailey moves to get comfortable.

Voight places his arms around Hailey and then intertwines his fingers holding her.

Hailey relaxes into the embrace. Somehow Voight knew that she was desperately in need of hug.

The two of them then watch the tv.

"You know I remember the first time when I met you." Voight recalls the day she showed up in his life the first time.

"Yeah, I told you to get off your own crime scene." Hailey gives a slight chuckle. "In hindsight I only realize now how dangerous that was."

"Uh hu." Voight agrees.

They have come a long way from her telling him to get off her crime scene and her lying in Voight's embrace watching tv.

Hailey wakes up to the sound of really bad singing. Opening her eyes, she realizes that it is the tv. It must be past midnight because music videos are playing.

Hailey then realizes that she is still in Voight's embrace. She can feel a warm pressure on the top of her head. Voight must also be asleep because he is definitely not watching late night music videos with bad singing.

Thinking back to what Voight said earlier, she remembers hearing a whole lot of stories about Voight and the first time she met him, he was everything they made him out to be.

Then she got to know him better and it just got worse. The things he did, the things he covered up.

Then she got to know him even better and get close to him and then she learned that he is actually a very caring person, a deeply caring person. You just have to look through the hard exterior to see it.

The next moment the song on the tv ends and an ad suddenly pops up with a bang and Voight jerks awake immediately ready to kill whoever just busted into his house.

The moment Voight realizes it was the tv and that Hailey is lying in his arms, he calms down.

"Damn, you nearly gave me a heart attack." Hailey takes a deep breath as she sits up. The ad caught her off guard, but Voight suddenly jumping like that was frightening. What if he decided to strangle the first thing moving, which was her? Hailey knows what happens when Voight's anger suddenly flares, it takes him a while to see perspective.

"Sorry." Voight apologizes as he realizes that he just gave Hailey a big fright.

"You, ok?" Voight asks as he sits forward and places a hand on Hailey's back.

"Yeah, I'll live." Hailey says with a smile, suddenly the situation is funny to her.

"What's the time?" Hailey asks.

"Just after 3 am." Voight answers as he checks his watch and then stands up.

"It's not even worth going to bed." Hailey complains with a yawn. She then lies down on the couch where Voight just got up.

"I'm going to bed." Voight then passes the couch on his way upstairs.

"Goodnight Sarge." Hailey calls after him.

"You mean good morning." Voight responds as he disappears upstairs.
