AN: Just want to remind you all of my poll. It's still going and there's still some time to do some last minute voting.
The duel between Yukin and Renji started out strong and is still going. Yukin had 3900LP, but he had Serapho, Shudamin, Vondoon, and Tenrun on the field. However, Renji had 4100LP. He also had his three strongest Dimensional Warriors on the field. He had Mordred with 3200atk points, Feirefiz with 3300atk points, and Arthur having 3500atk points. This duel was only just beginning.
"Brace yourself, Yukin. These three are my most powerful warriors. If you struggled against just one, how do you plan on taking these three at once?" Renji taunted. Yukin knew he was in for a rough ride and had to brace himself.
'I still have Tenrun's ability to help, and if he destroys Vondoon, his ability will be quite useful.' Yukin thought.
"The answer is that you can't! I activate Feirefiz's ability!" Renji called. "And don't bother using Tenrun's ability to stop it because you can't stop his ability!"
"I can't?!" Yukin said as that puts a damper on his plans.
"Feirefiz can block all of your monster's abilities!" Renji said. Feirefiz unleashed it's power and it was like the gravity intensified right on Yukin's monsters. They were all pinned down and unable to move. "With Tenrun's ability blocked, I can now use Mordred's ability! I use one overlay unit to block all my portals!" He said as one of Mordred's overlay units enter his chest and unleashed dark portal. "That means I will no longer take any damage from any of the portals I opened."
"I knew Renji would try that. He did the same thing when they dueled before." Zoey remembered.
"That's only the start. When Mordred has no overlay units left, every card that is in my graveyard will return to my deck." Renji explained. Him getting all his cards back would be a problem. "Now for battle! Feirefiz, crush down on Vondoon! Pressure of the Might!" Feirefiz intensified the gravity even more with Vondoon crushed to the ground and Yukin's life points dropping to 3100. "Mordred, it's your turn! Attack Shadow Shudamin with Dark Magic Grapple!" Mordred used his dark power and caused to two dark hands to grab Shudamin and crush him with Yukin's life points dropping down again to 2400. "Finally, Arthur attack Tempest Tenrun with Celestial Royal Flash!" Arthur held up his sword and unleashed a blinding and intense light. Yukin had to look away, but Tenrun wasn't so lucky as the light vaporized him and Yukin's life points dropped even more to 1400.
"After all that Yukin did to get those four on the field, Renji undid it all." Sylvester said.
"At least he still has Sapphire Serapho, his ace." Siegrain said. "He still has a chance."
"Don't tell me your best has already been used up, Yukin." Renji said. "I place one card facedown and end my turn." It didn't look good for Yukin at all, but he didn't let that discouraged him.
"Yukin's really got his back to the wall now." Siri said. "It's going to take more than what he has to beat those three powerful monsters."
"It's not over yet." Brui said as she was rooting for Yukin. "I bet Drewsin will have something to say about this."
"Drewsin?" Siri questioned.
"If Drewsin is really alive inside of Yukin, I'm sure he'll help Yukin out." Brui said.
"You're right. I'm sure Huo will do the same as well." Rini said as they believe the boys will help Yukin through this.
"So, what will you do now? You have no cards in your hand and Sapphire Serapho isn't powerful enough to take on all three of my monsters." Renji taunted.
"There's still a chance as long as I can fight." Yukin said as he wasn't afraid of the challenge. 'Of course, I don't know if I can. Those three are so powerful and beat my monsters so easily.'
"Don't tell me you're giving up. If you could beat me, you can beat anyone."
"You've got to charge right in for victory."
"Yukin, no one else can do what you do." Yukin could hear the voices of Yuan, Huo, and Drewsin. He could see all three of them standing before him and were actually helping him like the girls said.
"If I'm going to be a part of you, I certainly don't want to be part of a loser." Yuan claimed.
"We entrusted our power to you, so you know we've got your back." Huo claimed.
"Yukin, if anyone can unite the people, it's you. Just remember what dueling is all about." Drewsin said. Their encouragement is what gave Yukin the strength he needed to push on.
"They're right. I can do this!" Yukin claimed. "It's my turn! I draw!" He drew his next card and it looked like quite a powerful spell.
"Oh yeah! That's a real great spell!" Huo said.
"Go get him, Yukin!" Drewsin encouraged.
"You better since you're about to use my Venom Vondoon." Yuan claimed.
"I activate Fusion Element!" Yukin said as he played the spell. "This spell allows me to fuse an elemental monster with a fusion monster, even if that monster is in my graveyard. I'm fusing the power Sapphire Serapho with Venom Vondoon!" Both monsters came together and were now fusing together. "With the burning blue flames combined with venomous darkness..."
"...the danger of this monster is nothing less." Yuan finished.
"I fusion summon Venom Sapphire Serapho!" Both of them said as their two monsters were now one. Serapho looked more menacing with purple intense flames coming out of his chest and legs with parts of his body purple. He also had 3000atk points.
"He combined Venom Vondoon with Sapphire Serapho?! No way!" Siri said as she was amazed.
"I activate Serapho's ability! All of your monsters lose 1000atk points!" Yukin declared. "Burning Poison!" Serapho unleashed blasts of poison and blasted each of Renji's monsters with their attack points dropping to 2200, 2300, and 2500. "Serapho is now clear to attack!"
"But because of Feirefiz's ability, I can make it your first target." Renji said.
"That's just fine with me! Attack with Infernal Venom!" Yukin ordered as Serapho unleashed streams of purple flames at Feirefiz.
"I activate Arthur's ability! When our two monsters battle, they can have the same attack points!" Renji claimed as Arthur shined a light and changed Serapho's attack points to match Feirefiz. When that happened, Feirefiz used its gravity powers to turn some of the attack around and both of them were destroyed.
"Well, that didn't go the way we expected, but no matter." Yuan claimed.
"Yeah! Now it's our turn to shine." Huo said.
"Right! When the monster summon with Fusion Element is destroyed, I can activate Synchro Element from my deck!" Yukin said as he was able to play the spell. "With this, I can use Tenrun as a level one tuner monster and tune him with Sapphire Serapho in my extra deck!" He said as the two monsters came together in the synchro process. "Burn with the might of a flame..."
"...and ride with the wind!" Huo finished.
"I synchro summon Tempest Sapphire Serapho!" This time, Serapho was wearing Tenrun's armor with the energy wings on fire and had 3000atk points.
"Now he's combined Tenrun with Serapho! Amazing!" Rini cheered.
"Serapho, attack Mordred! Tempest Ignition!" Yukin ordered as Serapho surrounded itself in a green flame and flew straight at Mordred.
"I can still use Arthur's ability once again!" Renji said as the light shined on Serapho again with his attack points matching Mordred's. The two monsters clashed with fire against darkness that resulted in both of them being destroyed.
"But that means I can pull the same trick! I activate Xyz Element!" Yukin said as he played another trap. "Drewsin, are you ready?"
"Of course. I've been by your side and always proud to fight along side you." Drewsin claimed.
"With Xyz Element, I can now overlay Shadow Shudamin with Sapphire Serapho!" Yukin called as his two monsters showed on the field and the overlay network was built. "With the blue flames of darkness..."
"...this monster will bring down all those who oppose him!" Drewsin finished.
"I xyz summon Shadow Sapphire Serapho!" The first monster he combined with any of his counterparts has now arrived on the field and was ready for battle.
"And now he's combined Serapho with Shudamin..." Brui said as she loved it.
"Yukin..." Zoey said as her admiration for him grew more and more.
"Shadow Sapphire Serapho, attack his light warrior! Dark Flame Mangle!" Yukin ordered as Serapho formed a hand of dark flames out of the ground.
"Once again, I activate Arthur's ability!" Renji said as the two monsters had the same attack points again. Arthur unleashed an intense blast of light and tried fighting back. A large explosion went off and took both monsters out. "Most impressive, but you ended up getting nowhere. I didn't take any damage."
"But I'm not finished just yet! By banishing all three of those spell cards from my graveyard, I can now summon Sapphire Serapho himself to the field!" Yukin said as he removed all three and Serapho returned to the field. "Serapho, attack Renji directly!" Serapho attacked and blasted Renji as his life points dropped to 1600. The blast did knock him off the building, but he landed on his feet like a cat. Everyone was impressed with what Yukin just pulled off with all of them cheering as he walked over to Renji. "You okay, Renji?"
"I'm fine. Thank you for asking." Renji said as he stood back up. "What you just pulled off was most impressive indeed. However, I'm afraid it just wasn't enough! I activate Element Spirit! This trap will allow me to elemental summon using monsters from my graveyard!"
"Oh boy." Yukin said as he didn't like where this was going.
"A bit of advice: a professional must have contingencies." Renji said. "With this trap, I'll remove my Dimensional Sphinx and my Dimensional Imp."
"An earth attribute monster and a dark attribute monster... Is he summoning what I think he's summoning?!" Yukin said as he almost couldn't believe it.
"I now fuse earth and darkness together!" Renji said as ghostly spirits of his monsters appeared with their respective elements around them. The two of them came together and brought out an old foe. "I elemental summon a steel attribute! Come forth, Dimensional Steel Warrior Lancelot!" Renji summoned out his first elemental monster as it emerged on the field with 3000atk points.
"That's the same monster that he summoned in their first duel!" Alyssa said.
"Yeah, but I don't think it will just disappear like last time!" Siegrain said.
"Well, here we are again." Renji said as the two faced each other. "Your elemental monster against mine." The two sides stood facing each other as they can now settle what they started so long ago. "Let me remind you of Lancelot's abilities. One is that he can still deal damage even if your monster is in defense mode. His second ability is that he can't be destroyed in battle. Even if you do manage to attack and deal me damage, his attack points will just increase by the damage I took. Only, I fixed the issues with his prototype. There's no chance Lancelot will just leave the field." Yukin was in a real bind now.
"That monster almost sounds unstoppable!" Rini said.
"How is he going to beat that?" Siri said. "He's already played all four cards, combined them, and Renji is still standing. On top of that, Yukin doesn't have any moves left."
"Yukin..." Zoey said as she was worried now.
"I'm afraid your situation is only going to get worse! Arthur's ability activates at the end of this turn, even if he is no longer on the field!" Renji said as a white light shined down on him. "I gain 500LP for every monster that was destroyed this turn!"
"500LP for every monster?! Six monsters were destroyed this turn! That would mean..." Yukin said.
"That's right. I gain a total of 3000LP!" Renji said as his life points increased all the way to 4600. "And I believe it's my turn now!" Renji drew his next card and the pressure was on Yukin. "Lancelot, attack Serapho! Black Steel Slay!" His knight went on the attack as it swung its sword and slashed right through Serapho that got him destroyed and Yukin's life points dropped to 900. "I place one facedown and end my turn!"
"This is looking bad!" Siegrain said.
"Yukin's got no cards left in his hand and nothing on his field! Renji has a powerful monster and more life points than when he started!" Sylvester said as everyone was worried Yukin can't win.
"This is your last chance, Yukin." Renji said as he was aiming to end this.
"It might be my last chance, but I'm not going down without a fight." Yukin said. "After coming as far as me and my friends have, I know I can win this!" He claimed as he was ready to end this. "Here goes. I draw!" Yukin made his final draw and it was the card that could turn all of this around right here and now. "I activate United World! When I have no cards in my hand or on my field, and my life points are lower than yours, this spell returns every card in my graveyard to my deck! After that, I can draw five new cards!" Yukin pulled off quite a move as all the cards in his graveyard returned to him and could now draw five new cards at once. "I draw!" He drew five cards. "Just the cards I need to win this! I set a card! I'm sure you remember this spell card: Variation! With it, I'm summoning out these two monsters: Blaze-Eyes Sun Dragon and Abyss Kraken!" Yukin summoned out his two monsters, a bright dragon with fire in its eyes that had 2500atk points, and a large blue squid with 2000atk points.
"Those are the same monsters you used when you elemental summoned for the first time." Renji remembered.
"And I'm going to do that again!" Yukin said as he elemental summoned once more with his two monsters. "Rise once again, Sapphire Serapho!" Serapho appeared on the field once again. "I now activate Spiral Blue Flame!"
"That's Sapphire Serapho's attack!" Siri said.
"It's also a spell?!" Zoey questioned.
"This will destroy Lancelot and you take damage equal to it's attack points!" Yukin said as Serapho used the power of the spell.
"I don't think so!" Renji said. "I activate Portal Permanent Closing! There's no waiting for this one! I have to give away 2000LP to use this trap, but it protects Lancelot from your spells and traps!" Renji's life points dropped to 2600, but Lancelot blocked the attack with it looking bad for Yukin again.
"It's a good thing I've got this! I activate United Elements!" Yukin said as he played his trap.
"But you just set that card!" Renji said.
"True, but I can activate it on the turn I elemental summon! This gives Serapho 200atk points for every monster that's in my extra deck!" Yukin said.
"Every monster in your extra deck?!" Renji said.
"That's right, and I've got a few extra thanks to my friends." Yukin said as Serapho began to grow in power. "Fusion: Venom Vondoon, Venom Sapphire Serapho, Valiant Vondoon and Brave Berato!" Just fusion alone raised Serapho's attack power to 3300. "Synchro: Tempest Tenrun, Tempest Sapphire Serapho, Hurricane Tenrun, and Heavenwardly Halberin!" Serapho's power increased again to 4100. "Xyz: Shadow Shudamin, Darkness Shudamin, and Shadow Sapphire Serapho!" Once again, Serapho's power increased to 4700. "Finally, all my elemental monsters, and I have a total of seven elemental monsters!" Serapho was powered once again to 6100. "This is it! Sapphire Serapho, attack and end this!" Serapho unleashed the attack and was more powerful than ever before. The intense blue flames blasted against Lancelot and it was too much for Lancelot to handle. The force blew Renji back and caused all of his life points to drop to zero and made Yukin the winner. Yukin managed to defeat Renji. "Renji, are you okay?" He asked as he walked over to him with the field clearing away. Renji stood back up and got a hold of Yukin's arm.
"The winner! Our new pro duelist: Yukin Sakuma!" Renji announced and it was done. Everyone in the stadium cheered.
"Yukin!" Zoey cheered as she ran straight to him and wrapped her arms around him. "I knew you would find a way!" Everyone who was watching the duel from all the cities cheered. They all saw Yukin as a beacon of hope and faith, and he's completed his mission. He's brought the people together. Through the intense dueling, a reaction happened back at Promin Academy with the reactor. A light shot straight out and sored through the sky. It sore through all the cities and carried the friend that Yukin made to the stadium. All of his friends were together in the stadium now, transported to stand with Yukin on this great moment. That wasn't all. The light shot right through Yukin and formed an orb of light from him that carried life in it. Yukin knew what that was and he ushered the girls to help that life out. Siri was the first to go up as she reached inside and pulled out Yuan with him and everyone from Promin Academy amazed he was standing there. Rini was the next to go as she pulled out Huo with him, Ryo, and the friends from Nitro City amazed. Finally, Brui was the last as she pulled out Drewsin with everyone from Neon City glad to see him again.
"Welcome back." Yukin said.
"I knew you would find a way." Drewsin said as the four were real and together again. The two of them bumped fists as they were glad to be together again.
"Oh yeah! Bring it in!" Huo shouted as he hugged both of them.
"Hey!" Drewsin said.
"What are you doing?!" Yukin said.
"Well, after everything we've been through, the three of us are like brothers. Right?" Huo said with the boys wondering if he had a point.
"Yeah right." Drewsin said.
"Don't get sappy." Yukin said as the two looked away with everyone else laughing. That was when Yukin noticed Yuan leaving. "Yuan! Where are you going?!" He called and got his attention.
"It's obvious I'm not wanted around here, so I'm leaving." Yuan claimed.
"You don't have to." Yukin said as all the anger and rage he felt towards him before was gone. He walked right over and held out his hand. "I bet if you had just one friend, you wouldn't have ended up this way. We can be those friends." Yuan couldn't believe that Yukin would offer friendship like that. Yuan never really had a friend before and maybe it could change everything. As for Yokon and Promin, they stood in the stands and were most pleased with what they saw.
"That son of yours is truly amazing." Promin said.
"He truly is, and just look Promin. This is the future we envisioned." Yokon claimed as the future they wanted was now in the present. Promin could see cheers and joy from all around, and to think he wanted to ruin it. Promin stared up at the sky and could see Miranda and Zeru thinking they would have loved this themselves. He too felt real joy he hasn't felt in a long time.
"You've done well, Yukin." Renji said as even he felt some real joy and happiness, like all that he strived for was finally over. "Of course, it's up to us to make sure things stay the way they do."
"No worries, Renji." Yukin said as he looked at all the friends that stood with him, dueled with him, and will stay united with him. "We can handle it." He claimed as he spoke for everyone. They're all truly united.
