Katsuki had been through a lot in his short 15 years on earth, but none of it could've prepared him for this moment, this was a real fight. The group of villains looked back at him in surprise, the fat one lost his footing awkwardly, but recovered soon after. The woman with horns had an amused look plastered onto her face, and the guy with the monkey tail looked similar.
The woman had a long pale face with wicked looking eyeliner and mascara that really made her pink eyes pop. Next to her, in a red hoodie, the gaunt man turned around to reveal himself. He had a very similar face to the woman, only his was a little bonier.
"Well what do we have here?" The woman said, "A wannabe wants to play the hero?" She turned back to her companions, and they nodded along with her. The fat one cracked his knuckles.
"How cute," he said, "if it's a fight he wants then I'm down to give it to him."
Katsuki rushed in and attacked with a kick towards the woman's side. She didn't so much as flinch when out of nowhere the guy with the monkey tail was at her side and blocked the kick with some sort of forcefield.
"Don't worry, I've got you sis." The man said.
"Naturally," the woman responded.
To follow up, Bakugo felt large hands grab him by the shoulders and pull him up. He tried kicking his attacker, but he didn't have a good position. He felt himself get thrown into a wall, pain searing up into his body.
"Excellent work Rodney," the woman said, "usually we work alone but taking you along today is proving to have been a great decision."
"Thank you mam" Rodney said in a jovial tone.
Shit! He looked up to see the three villains, the woman and monkey tail guy were getting ready to put Ichiro in a bag. No! I can't be defeated that easily. He forced himself to stand up, blood pouring out of his nose as he did so. Kastuki wiped it away quickly and rushed in for another attack. This time, he went straight for the gaunt one. If I can take him out first, he won't be able to protect his allies. The waif turned towards him with a look of concern. Katsuki wound himself up and prepared to deliver a roundhouse kick straight through any barrier the man could summon. Unfortunately for him, some sort of metallic snag grabbed him by the ankle and dislodged his balance.
"Oh I'm sorry, I can't allow you to hit my precious brother like that." The woman taunted from behind him. Katsuki looked back to see that she had a metal chain extending from her dress. She licked her lips. "I mean look at him, you'd hurt the poor thing with a single punch." Katsuki growled at her, and she returned nothing but a cocky smile. He launched at her, but she just ducked out of the way of his charge. "Oh Rodney!" The last thing Katsuki felt before being shoved into darkness was the weight of a 500 lb man on his back.
"Yes mam," Rodney said.
…
Ichiro awoke with a start, the world around him was so dark. It felt like he was wrapped in some sort of itchy sack. Trying to move only made the sack scratch his skin. He felt his breath start to pick up, what happened? The last thing he remembered was meeting Izuku on the beach that morning, then they'd ended up screaming at eachother and he'd… passed out? Most of his memories from the morning were an unpleasant blur.
He hit the ground with a thud and the sack was removed. Ichiro turned around quickly, trying to orient himself. He felt his quirk flare up instinctively, ready to defend him. He turned around and was greeted by a light to the outside. The entire room looked like a metal tube, and he heard the sounds of engines roaring outside. The light was coming from an opening and was getting smaller.
Not really thinking, Ichiro burst into a run towards the exit, before crashing into an array of metal bars. Pain shot through his upper forehead, and he grabbed it with one hand. By the time he recovered from the impact, the door to the outside had completely closed and the room was blanketed in darkness. He reached out to the sides and felt walls so small that no full grown adult could ever fit.
Ichiro tried to breathe out a small little flame for light, but to his dismay, nothing happened. A small little beep echoed in his ears. What? He tried again, and once again his quirk failed him, the beep played again. He felt his body begin to shake uncontrollably.
"It won't work," a voice said from within the darkness. "You have quirk canceling cuffs. I can tell because of the beeping sound" Ichiro turned towards the sound, it had come from up above him.
"Hello? Who's there?" He called.
"Names Katsuki, I'm gonna guess that your name is Ichiro Midoriya." The voice said. Ichiro felt a sudden sense of realization strike him, he'd recognize that voice anywhere.
"B… Bakugo?" He asked hesitantly. All he got in response was a quick grunt. Ichiro felt cold all of a sudden. He wrapped both of his arms around his legs and tried to breath slowly. "Where are we?" He asked.
"Probably on a plane or a boat. I saw you get dragged in a few minutes ago." As if in response to his hypothesis a sudden jolt shook the entire room, and Ichiro found himself slammed against the bars of his cage.
"Ah," he shook his head to reorient himself, "a plane? But… where are we going? What happened?" Ichiro asked. There was a long silence between them, and eventually Bakugo spoke up.
"You were attacked by a bunch of extras and I rushed in." He said, "you can see how that turned out." There was a softness to his voice that seemed quite uncharacteristic to Bakugo. Over the years Ichiro had only interacted with him a few times, but still, this time seemed different. "I got knocked and then woke up here in a cage. You were brought in on a sack and shoved into the cage right below me."
The engines buzzed in the background, even when the darkness could provide him no comfort. Ichiro felt his heart pounding in his chest, the gravity of the situation finally starting to kick in. What if they're taking us somewhere outside of Japan? He gasped, will I ever get to see Big Brother Izuku ever again? Mom will be so worried when I don't come home! I don't want to do that to her! He felt tears forming on his eyelids. Am I ever going to see my friends again? He grabbed his pounding head and hit his knees.
"What am I gonna do?"
"Wow," Bakugo said, "calm down, you're hyperventilating!"
"And you're not?!" Ichiro borderline shouted, "I might never see Big Brother Izuku again!" Bakugo was silent, "I might never see any of my friends again, or my mom, or my dad for that matter. I wanna go home." Ichiro felt tears begin to pour down his cheeks. He curled himself up into a little ball. It was at this time that Bakugo finally decided to speak up.
"Of course I realize the situation," he said. "I guess I just… don't have the drive to care." Ichiro straightened himself for a moment. He looked out into the darkness.
"What do you mean you don't care?" he choked out. "Don't you want to see your parents again?" Bakugo only offered silence. "You have to care, Bakugo. What will your mom or dad think? Do you even love them?"
"Shut up!" Bakugo almost shouted. "You don't understand, and you never will." Bakugo paused for a minute before bitterly continuing, "you never had to live quirkless." For a moment the world seemed to stop in a stunned silence. Ichiro's body felt paralyzed. Then, his tears returned in full.
"Ahhhh!" He cried himself to sleep.
…
Katsuki leaned back against the wall of his cage, listening to the small snores that came from below him. How this boy was able to sleep so much during stressful situations he would never know. They were situated on a shelf, so while their cages weren't moving, they could still hear all sorts of other cargo bobbing around below. The cages were about the size of pet cargo cages. Thankfully his was a little larger than Ichiro's probably was, but even still it was a tight squeeze.
Katsuki was seething. Ichiro was so arrogant, he would never truly understand Bakugo. Of course he loved his parents, but at the end of the day he was quirkless now. Nothing he could do would ever be good enough to them.
At the end of the day though, that was just an excuse. He would never admit to but… he knew that his dream of becoming a hero wasn't going to be achievable. That was the way of the world, you either had a quirk or you were just a disposable extra. He remembered the feeling he'd had after finishing his run that morning. It had been so blissful, he'd finally felt hope for the first time in a long time. It had been a false hope though. Stupid, that's what I've been. Everyone knew it all along too. Mom, Dad, all the friends that abandoned me.
He'd known this to be a truth ever since his first quirkless day at school. The bullies had been so bad, but ultimately the lesson they taught was correct. If you didn't have the power to be king, then you had no claim to a throne. It had been his dream that kept him going, but now that he'd failed in such a spectacular way to protect Ichiro, he wasn't sure anymore.

"Yo Bakugo! What happened last week? I heard that you got absolutely wrecked by some stupid kindergartener." Katsuki heard some idiotic extra taunt.
"I thought he was supposed to be super strong." A girl snickered behind the first kid. Katsuki looked at the kid with a murderous look on his face.
"You shut your mouth extra." He growled, "I'm still the strongest kid in this stupid school!" The kid leaned against one of the red lockers with a smug look on his face.
"Oh yeah? Then how do you explain getting beat up by a kindergartener?" Katsuki felt his blood start to boil. The girl behind the idiot started to look a little concerned.
The kid had a round face with darker skin, his hair was done in a military cut and he had braces on his teeth. He wore the black Aldera uniform and had a blue backpack. He crossed his arms in a look of confidence.
Katsuki didn't waste anymore time and charged. "I SAID SHUT IT EXTRA!" The girl behind the kidly smartly backed up, but the kid didn't even flinch when Katsuki came in for a right hook. He grabbed Katsuki's hand and redirected it upwards. A look of surprise crossed his face as he did it.
"No explosion? Strange." The kid said, then he kicked Katsuki in the stomach with such force that it slammed him into the other set of lockers. Katsuki recovered quickly though and tried again. This time, the kid held out his hands and yellow light swirled in front of them. Katsuki felt his body stop responding, instead, he fell to the floor. "Got you," The kid said. Katsuki fell limp, unable to move. His rage continued to grow. Damnit damnit damnit! GET UP YOU USELESS BODY! "Unfortunate that you won't feel this until my quirk wears off, but oh well." Then, for the next 5 minutes, Katsuki was subject to a torrent of kicks, punches and grabs. To his dismay, there was nothing he could've done to stop this kid. He so desperately wanted to blow the brat's face off. Instead, all he could do was watch as the kid beat the shit out of him.
"God damn that felt satisfying," the kid taunted as his girl wooed from behind. "Learn your place, you pompous loser."
Katsuki laid on the ground for the next 30 minutes until the teacher's finally found him bruised and bleeding on the floor. The pain from the torment didn't kick in until the following night when he had to endure it all at once due to the kid's quirk.
From that day forth, Katsuki was never again the top of the class in terms of quirk strength. His friends completely abandoned him, and even his own mother seemed disappointed in him. From that day on he had pledged himself to heroics. What did some idiots at school matter if he could become a hero anyway? He would be the greatest hero no matter what life decided to throw at him. He was Bakugo, and he would always be the best.
…
Present Day
Katsuki remembered his childhood in disdain. What is there to live for if it's not heroic in our society? I trained for all those years to get good enough to become a hero and yet… here we are. Stuck in the cargo hold of a plane going God knows where. I'm not better than I was 5 years ago.

Well Bakugo is not in a good place right now, but then again, neither of them really are. Well thanks so much for reading this far into the fic, I'm glad people are enjoying my work. I know that this chapter took forever to come out, but I needed a little break from Greatest Midoriya. So I went a wrote a short story for myself in the meantime. It was just what I needed to get motivated for this again. Similarly, I also needed to really consider where I'm going in the story because things are getting a little wierd, and I think now I finally have a concrete plan of what to do. So, hopefully my uploads will become a little more frequent. Anyway, I've talked for way too much. Thank you to everyone that left me comments and followed the story or has just read it this far you're the best, I hope you all have great lives. Anyway, I'll see ya'll next time.
With Love
