I love Janto: yep. Sherlock just needs to sulk.
Sherlock's phone pinged with several messages from Mary. He opened them to be greeted by a photo of Mary carrying Rosie. She had put a party hat on Rosie's head. Below a text read:
Baby's first Mother's Day!-MW
Sherlock realized that it was on the group chat when messages started flowing in from everyone.
So cute! What do you have planned?-MH
Aww, too bad she's too young to get you gifts-Janine
So cute! I want to show the rest of the precinct-GL
Cute-M
Nothing too exciting Molly. We're going to eat some cake and take some more pictures-JW
Why was Mycroft added to this chat? Sherlock thought. He was surprised that Mycroft had even bothered to reply.
Some more messages from some old friends of John, and some from Mary's friends came through, all basically saying the same thing. So cute, send more pictures, blah blah blah. It was a big fuss for an event that Rosie wouldn't even remember.
Do people always start celebrating Mother's Day this early?-SH He sent it straight to John instead of the group chat.
Maybe not but your parents must have done something like this when you were still a baby. Parents want to make memories-JW
Sherlock didn't know if they did. Perhaps there was something hidden away in one of his mother's photo albums.
