Tina felt her heart race as she followed Naruto through the front double doors, taking in the grandeur of the mansion. She had never seen anything like it before. The doors were solid black Planum Flush Wood Planum French Doors, towering above her and giving her a sense of awe.

As they traveled further into the mansion, Tina was struck by the polished white marble walls, which seemed to stretch endlessly. The fluorescent lights hummed in a muffled tone, casting a soothing glow on everything in sight. The floors were a beautiful blue-marble color, with a large rug emblazoned with the letter "N" covering a significant portion of the flooring.

The stairs seemed to go on forever, each flight more opulent than the last. Fancy-looking rugs were everywhere, and the walls were covered in various paintings that looked like they were worth a fortune. Tina couldn't believe her eyes as they finally reached a bedroom and entered.

"I'm home," Naruto called out as he led Tina into the room.

Sitting on the bed was a gorgeous young woman with raven colored hair and blue streak highlights. She had pale skin and the most stunning blue-green eyes that held a fierce determination in them. Currently, she was dressed in a punk style Gothic sling dress with a sleeveless, strapless, and backless design, paired with solid color bandage mesh leggings.

"Well, it's about time," the woman said, hopping off the bed. Tina could see the annoyance in her eyes, but she couldn't help but admire her confidence and beauty.

Before the woman could say anything else, she noticed that Naruto wasn't alone. "Who the hell is she?" she demanded, her tone cold and hostile.

"Your new little sister, Tina Cohen-Chang," Naruto introduced her, and then gestured towards the woman. "And this is your new big sister, Jade West. Don't let the scowl on her face fool you. She does have a heart."

Jade didn't seem impressed by Naruto's attempt to introduce her, and Tina could see the scowl on her face grow even more menacing. However, Naruto didn't seem to be bothered by it and just brushed it off, leading the girls out of the room.

As Jade and Tina made their way down the stairs and out of the mansion, Jade turned to Tina with a smirk on her face. "So, you're the new little sister, huh?" she asked, sizing Tina up. "What do you think of our little town so far?"

Tina looked around at the quaint little houses and stores lining the streets. "It's...nice," she said, hesitantly. "But it's a lot different from where I grew up."

Jade raised an eyebrow. "Oh yeah? Where'd you grow up?"

"In Lima, Ohio," Tina replied.

Jade snorted. "Lima, Ohio? Never heard of it. Sounds boring."

Tina felt a flash of anger at Jade's dismissive tone. "Well, it wasn't exactly New York City, but it was home," she said defensively.

Jade shrugged. "Hey, whatever floats your boat. But if you're gonna survive in this town, you're gonna have to toughen up a little. It's not exactly a cakewalk around here."

Tina nodded, feeling a little intimidated by Jade's confidence. "Yeah, I get that. But I'm willing to learn."

Jade grinned. "Good. I like a girl who's not afraid to get her hands dirty." She paused, eyeing Tina thoughtfully. "You know, you've got potential. With a little training, you could be a real badass."

Tina couldn't help but smile at the compliment. "Thanks, Jade. That means a lot coming from you."

Jade smirked. "Don't mention it. Just don't get too cocky, or I might have to take you down a peg or two."

Tina laughed. "I'll keep that in mind." She was starting to feel a little more at ease around Jade, despite her intimidating demeanor. Maybe this new town wouldn't be so bad after all.

"Let's take a little tour around town and get to know the new locals better." he said, a smile on his face. "Pineville has been steadily growing with retirees and people raising their families. "

Tina couldn't help but feel excited about exploring the town. She had never been to a small town like this before, and she was curious to see what it had to offer. Jade, on the other hand, seemed less than thrilled about the idea, but she followed along nonetheless. She wasn't much of a people person and would have preferred to stay in the mansion, but she knew there would be no getting out of this like before.

As they walked through the town, Naruto pointed out various landmarks and places of interest. Tina was surprised to see how friendly everyone seemed to be, with people stopping to say hello and introduce themselves to her. Jade, however, remained aloof and unapproachable, making it clear that she wasn't interested in making any new friends.

After a while, they ended up at a small café, and Naruto suggested that they stop for a bite to eat. Tina was thrilled at the idea, but Jade just rolled her eyes and muttered something under her breath. They found a table outside and sat down, and Naruto went to order their food.

As they waited for their food to arrive, Tina tried to make conversation with Jade, but she was met with silence. It was clear that Jade wasn't interested in talking, so she turned her attention to Naruto instead.

"So, Naruto, how did you end up living here?" she asked, curious about his background.

Naruto smiled, happy to finally have someone to talk to. "Well, I inherited this mansion from a lovely old couple I knew for years. They weren't able to have any children of their own and what relatives they did have weren't interested in he property.

They lived here for most of their lives, and when they passed away, they left it to me. I was living in Baton Rouge at the time, but I decided to move here and renovate the place. It's been a lot of work, but I love it here."

Tina nodded, impressed by Naruto's dedication to the mansion and the town. "That's really cool. Do you have any other family here?"

Naruto's expression grew a little sad. "No, not really. My parents passed away when I was young, and I don't have any siblings."

Tina felt a pang of sympathy for Naruto, but before she could say anything, their food arrived. Naruto had ordered a variety of sandwiches and salads for them to share, and Tina eagerly dug in.

As they ate, Tina couldn't help but feel grateful for Naruto's kindness and hospitality. She had only known him for a short time, but he had already made her feel welcome in this new town. And with Jade's tough exterior starting to crack, Tina was starting to feel like maybe she could make a new home here after all.

After finishing their lunch at the café, Naruto led Tina and Jade to a small park in the town center. It was a beautiful day, with the sun shining brightly and a gentle breeze blowing through the trees. There were children playing on the swings and couples strolling hand in hand, enjoying the lovely weather.

Jade seemed to relax a little as they walked through the park, taking in the sights and sounds around them. She even smiled a little when a group of kids ran past them, giggling and shouting.

Tina was pleased to see Jade starting to let her guard down. She had been a little intimidated by her at first, but now she was beginning to see that Jade was just a person like anyone else, with her own fears and insecurities.

As they walked, Naruto pointed out some of the town's historical landmarks, such as the old church and the town hall. Tina was fascinated by the rich history of the town, and she made a mental note to do some more research on it later.

After a while, they came across a small farmer's market in the town square. There were stalls selling fresh produce, baked goods, and handmade crafts. Tina was delighted by the colorful array of fruits and vegetables, and she couldn't resist buying some strawberries and blueberries from one of the vendors.

Jade, on the other hand, seemed less impressed. She grumbled about the "hippie-dippie" vibe of the market and kept her distance from the vendors.

Naruto, ever the peacemaker, tried to convince Jade to try some of the homemade bread that one of the vendors was selling. "Come on, Jade, it's delicious. You might like it."

Jade scowled. "I'll stick with my packets, thanks."

Tina couldn't help but laugh at Jade's stubbornness. She was starting to feel more comfortable around her, and she was grateful for Naruto's efforts to bring them together.

As they continued their tour of the town, they came across a small antique shop. Naruto suggested that they take a look inside, and Tina eagerly agreed.

The shop was packed with all sorts of interesting knickknacks and collectibles, from vintage cameras to antique china. Tina was particularly drawn to a small, intricately carved jewelry box, and she asked the owner if she could take a closer look at it.

As she examined the box, she noticed a small inscription on the bottom. It read, "To my dear wife, on our 25th anniversary."

Tina felt a pang of sadness as she imagined the couple who had owned the box. They had probably cherished it for many years, only to have it end up in a dusty antique shop.

Jade noticed her sadness and put a hand on her shoulder. "You okay?"

Tina nodded, blinking back tears. "Yeah, it just makes me wonder about the people who owned this stuff before. What happened to them? Did they have happy lives?"

Jade gave her a small smile. "Who knows? But maybe by buying their old stuff, we're keeping a part of their memories alive."

Tina smiled back at her, touched by her insight. Maybe Jade wasn't so tough after all.

As they left the antique shop, they noticed a group of teenagers hanging out near a convenience store. They were smoking cigarettes and playing loud music, and Tina couldn't help but feel a little uneasy.

Naruto noticed her discomfort and put a hand on her arm. "Don't worry, they're harmless. Just a bunch of kids trying to look cool."

Jade snorted. "Yeah, until they start tagging the buildings and breaking into cars."

Naruto shook his head. "Not all kids are troublemakers, Jade. Some are actually properly loved and raised by their parents and grow into good people.

"Yeah some," She uttered bitterly. Before the atmosphere could be dashed he decided to change the pace.

"Let's go check out the park. It's one of the most beautiful spots in town and a great spot to relax.". Jade seemed skeptical, but Tina was excited at the prospect of spending more time outside.

As they walked towards the park, Tina couldn't help but notice how different Pineville was from Lima, Ohio. The streets were lined with trees and flowers, and everything looked so serene and peaceful. It was a far cry from the hustle and bustle of the city she was used to, but she found herself enjoying the change of pace.

When they arrived at the park, Naruto led them down a path that led to a small pond. There were ducks swimming in the water, and a few families having picnics on the grass. It was a beautiful sight, and Tina couldn't help but feel grateful to be there.

As they walked around the pond, Naruto pointed out some of the local wildlife. Tina saw a few squirrels scampering around, and a couple of rabbits nibbling on some grass. She was surprised at how much nature there was in this small town.

Jade, on the other hand, seemed bored. "Is this all there is to do in this town?" she asked, looking around.

Naruto chuckled. "There's plenty to do if you know where to look. This town may be small, but it's full of surprises. You would know if you'd stop barricading yourself in the mansion all day"

Tina nodded, agreeing with Naruto. She was excited to see what else Pineville had to offer. Maybe there was more to this town than she initially thought.

As they continued walking, Tina spotted a small playground in the distance. She couldn't help but smile at the sight of it. It had been a long time since she had been on a swing, and the thought of doing so brought back memories of her childhood.

"Can we go over there?" she asked, pointing at the playground.

Jade rolled her eyes. "Are you serious? We're adults, Tina. We don't have time for childish things like that."

Tina felt a pang of disappointment at Jade's response. She had been hoping to relive some of her childhood memories, but it seemed like that wasn't going to happen.

But Naruto surprised her. "Sure, why not?" he said, a smile on his face. "I haven't been on a swing in ages."

Tina couldn't help but grin at Naruto's enthusiasm. They made their way over to the playground, and Tina couldn't help but feel giddy with excitement. She climbed onto a swing and started pumping her legs back and forth. It was a freeing feeling, and she couldn't help but laugh out loud.

Jade watched from a distance, with a small smile on her face. She seemed to be enjoying the sight of Tina having fun, even if she wasn't participating herself.

As they left the park, Tina felt a sense of contentment wash over her. She had never felt so at peace in her life. While she'll never forget her friends at the very least, she could continue to live on and do everything she could to honor their memory.
