"Look at it, Tarkin, an entire New World chock-full of gold, just waiting for me." said Governor Palpatine, looking at the new planet.

"And scores of adventures waiting for us, right, Arfor?" said another human, pampering the governor'd pampered pooch. "Do you suppose we shall run into any savages, Governor?"

"If we do, we shall be sure to give them a proper Republic greeting." Palpatine said.

Just then, there was a knock at Palpatine's door.

"Governor," sat Rax. "It's perfect, the land looks good an clear, we can land right on shore by the water."

"Very well, then." said Palpatine. "Give the order."

"Already done, Sir. I've got a crew assembled and they're ready to go."

"About the natives, I'm counting on you to make sure those filthy heathens don't disrupt our mission."

"Well, if they're anything like the savages I've fought before, it's nothing I can't handle."

"Right. That'll be all, Fett. There's a good man."

But as soon as Rax left, Palpatine's demeanor changed.

"The men like Fett, don't they?" He walked up to his mirror. "I have never been a popular man, and don't think I don't know what those backstabbers at court say about me."

"Yes, all that talk about you being unable to hold on to a single treasure," said Tarkin. "It is most odd that somehow those savages could have been one step ahead when they are clearly not as smart as us."

"I am very well aware that this is my last chance at glory, but mark my words, Tarkin, when King Jango sees the gold these peasants unearth, success will be mine, at last."

("Hey, there was a real king named Jango, just like your birth dad." Gabby said, looking at the twins.

"I guess that's who our biological grandparents must have named him." Omega said.)

The explorers were all amazed by the sights of the water and the plants on the land.

"And they're all ours," said Anakim.

"I'm just glad we finally get to be off this stinking ship." Ben said, stretching out his back as he got off.

"Come on, men." Rax said, getting off the ship. "We didn't come all this way just to look at it.

As the men all got off the ship, Grace and Leena snuck out from the cargo bay and snuck into the water and to the forest land, hoping they could discover any natives before the explorers did, and warn them that a threat may be coming their way.

But the two human girls weren't the only curious ones

Ahsokahontas followed an inconspicuous path that followed the settlers' canoe down the river as they were searching for a spot to build a shelter.

Ahsokahontas' eyes widened with curiosity when she saw that these visitors were not Togrutas at all. She wasn't sure what they even were. They had a similar body shape to the Togrutas, but they all seemed to have pale skin, at least compared to hers. They also seemed to have bits of hair on their heads and some on their faces, and their clothes looked really different too.

Rax climbed into a tree very close to where Ahsokahontas was hiding. But Mint got a little too curious and flew up into the tree before Ahsokahontas could stop her. Rax spotted the blue jay and nearly pulled out a weapon, but immediately calmed down when he saw it was just a bird.

"Well, you're a pretty looking fellow." Rax said, only for Mint to caw in offense. "Or... lady?"

Mint nodded.

"You hungry?' Rax pulled out a cracker. "A cracker. It's food."

Mint started to peck at the tasty cracker

"Good, huh? Well, try eating it for four months straight."

Mint chirped as though calling someone, telling Ahsokahontas to come out.

"You got a friend back there?" said Rax.

Ahsokahontas backed up into the bush as Rax came closer and closer. But just before he could move the bush out of the way, a trumpet sounded, and Anakim called him from down below.

"Raxon, you better get down here! The governor's coming ashore."

Meanwhile, the Tanowhans were all gathered in a meeting regarding the vistors. Many were curious, but many were also worried, scared even.

"My brothers," said Pav-Ti. "We must know more about these vistors. Gantika, what do you see?"

Gantika chanted chanted a chant and sprinkled some dust into a fire, and a vision came about.

"These are not people like us, but strange beasts with bodies that shine like the sun, and weapons that spout fire and thunder. They prowl the worlds beyond like ravenous wolves, consuming everything in their path."

"Great Pav-Ti Taneu," said Kokum. "I will lead our warriors to the river and attack. We will destroy these invaders the way we destroyed the Offe-nans."

But, Pav-Ti did not think that was a good idea.

"Kokum, in that battle, we knew how to fight our enemy, but these pale, hairy visitors are strange to us. Take some men to the river to observe them. Let us hope they do not intend to stay."

Unfortunately, the visitors had plans the natives dreaded.

Governor Palpatine planted a flag for Concord Dawn.

"I hereby claim this land and all its riches in the name of His Majesty King Jango the First, and do so name this settlement, Jangoville."

The settlers immediately got to work building their shelter.

"Captain Fett, it appears I have selected the perfect location." Palpatine bragged. "Not a savage in sight."

"Just because we don't see them doesn't mean they're not out there." Rax said.

"Hmm. Then perhaps you should venture forth and determine their whereabouts, hm?"

"If there are any Indians out there, I'll find them."

So, while Rax left to search for any "savages," the rest of the men were ordered by Palaptine to start building and/or digging.

"Let us not forget what the Hutts discovered when they discovered a New World in the Outer Rim." Palpatine said. "Gold! Mountains of it. Why, for years, many a land have been ravaging the New World of its most precious resources, but now... it's our turn."

Palpatine:

The gold of Cortés
The jewels of Pizarro
Will seem like mere trinkets
By this time tomorrow
The gold we find here
Will dwarf them by far
Oh, with all ya got in ya, boys
Dig up Kamino, boys

Palpatine threw shovels, pickaxes, and all kinds of tools to his men and urged them to start working immediately.

Mine, boys, mine ev'ry mountain
And dig, boys, dig 'til ya drop
Grab a pick, boys
Quick, boys
Shove in a shovel
Uncover those lovely
Pebbles that sparkle and shine
It's gold and it's mine, mine, mine

The men all got right to work building their shelter.

Men:

Dig and dig and dig and diggety
Dig and dig and dig and diggety

Palpatine:

Oh, how I love it!
Riches for cheap!
There'll be heaps of it
And I'll be on top of the heap!

Governor Palpatine, while the others were working, imagined himself adorned with the gold he dreamed of finding, and being praised for being the richest of them all, blowing away even the king.

My rivals back home
It's not that I'm bitter
But think how they'll squirm
When they see how I glitter!
The ladies at court
The king will reward me
He'll knight me ... no, lord me!

The men started chopping down trees, digging the ground

It's mine, mine, mine
For the taking
It's mine, boys
Mine me that gold!
With those nuggets dug
It's glory they'll gimme
My dear friend, King Jnago
Will probably build me a shrine
When all of the gold is mine

Men:

Dig and dig and dig and diggety
Dig and dig and dig and diggety-dig!

Meanwhile, Rax was exploring the forest on his own.

Rax:

All of my life, I have searched for a land
Like this one
A wilder, more challenging country
I couldn't design

He looked upon the magnificent waterfall he came across, unaware he was being watched by Ahsokahontas from behind a tree.

Rax climbed a mountain and onto a log that dropped over a river that led to the falls, and he stood proudly.

Hundreds of dangers await
And I don't plan to miss one
In a land I can claim
A land I can tame
The greatest adventure is mine!

Palpatine:

Keep on working, lads
Don't be shirking, lads
Mine, boys, mine
Mine me that gold
Beautiful gold
Make this island
My land!

Make the mounds big, boys
I'd help you to dig, boys
But I've got this crick in me spine

Rax:

This land we behold

Palpatine:

This beauty untold

Rax:

A man can be bold!

Palpatine:

It all can be sold!

The men also started dynamiting for the digging of gold.

And the gold is
Mine!
Mine!
Mine!
Hey nonny nonny nonny it's mine

All the while, Grace and Leena could hear the explosions from afar as they searched for the natives. Grace wrote in a journal she kept, hoping that if anything happened to her, someone would find it and learn and expose the truth.

("As my sister and I are journeying through this great unnamed land, we continue our mission to warn the natives and protect what is theirs." Gabby read. "My master has said that it is not by taking from others that makes one strong, but by finding the wisdom to do what is right. Governor Palpatine's greed blinds him to truth, and sadly my father as well, and so many men. From what I can see, there is no gold to be found, but someone more beautiful in a rich natural land. From here I can see many critters and trees, such lovely resources of beauty and blessings. Though I do not yet know the people of this land, I can only assume these plants are what they need in order to live."

"It sounds like your ancestor knew what she was doing." Boba said. "Mine, on the other hand, was as ignorant as these other guys." He looked inside and read another entry that was written by Rax. "As I look upon these beautiful falls, I see exactly a great place to build new cities. Lots of water to power our buildings and lots of land to build roads and new businesses. We just need to take out some trees and pave over the dirt."

And then Boba spotted tiny dots that looked like old dried drops of water on some pages of that entry.

"Why do these pages look like they were wet at some point?" Omega asked.

"Let's find out." Ahsoka said. "Keep reading.")
