Rax stopped by a small lake beneath the falls to get a drink of water, but as he picked up some water in his cupped hands, he spotted a reflection of what looked like a person. He removed his helmet and washed his face off with some of the water and then looked behind him to see no one there. Curious, Rax picked up his helmet and his gun, not sure what to expect.

From behind a nearby tree, Ahsokahontas continued to carefully watch the strange man until she decided to slowly approach him Carefully, she climbed down the rocks and crawled through the tall grasses below. But by the time she got down, the stranger was gone. Ahsokahontas climbed down to the same rocks Rax had stood on previously, and she jumped across the rocks that made a bridge across the lake, but although she sensed something was off, she didn't know that behind the waterfall was Rax, preparing to shoot his gun.

Rax leaped out from the waterfall, only for someone to grab his gun out from his hands and let him fall into the water!

Rax came up and gasped for air to see his gun be smashed to pieces against a big rock, and when he looked up as a shadow appeared above him, he saw who it was. Rax couldn't believe his eyes when he looked up to see what he assumed was a woman, though she was not a human like him. However, she had a humanoid-like body, and she was also very beautiful, her bright blue eyes shining like the water of the falls.

Rax wasn't sure what to make of this woman. She carried no weapons, and she was not attacking him now even though he attacked first.

Slowly, Rax stood himself up and kept his hands raised, only for Ahsokahontas to run away.

"No, wait! Please!" Rax said, going after the girl.

Ahsokahontas continued to run until she reached her canoe, only for the strange man to catch up to her, begging her not to run off.

"It's alright. I'm not going to hurt you." Rax said, offering his hand. "Here, let me help you out of there."

Ahsokahontas spoke in her native language.

"You don't understand a word I'm saying, do you?"

Ahsokahontas just looked at Rax, distrust in her eyes.

"It's alright," said the human.

Ahsokahontas felt the wind blowing through her montrals, and she could hear it speaking to her, telling her to take his hand. So, she did.

Listen with your heart

You will understand

And Ahsokahontas allowed Rax to help her out of the canoe as beautiful colors of the wind pulled many beautiful leaves around the two new acquaintances

Let it break upon you

Like a wave upon the sand

"Who are you?" asked Rax.

Listen with your heart

You will understand

"Ahsokahontas." said the Togruta.

"What? What did you say?" said Rax.

"Ahsokahontas." she repeated. "My name is Ahsokahontas."

"I'm Raxon Fett."

Meanwhile, the settlers kept digging for gold while some of the Natives continued to watch them from afar. The men had been digging for hours, but they found no gold anywhere they were digging.

"Keep digging. It's got to be here somewhere."

"There's thirty more of them down by the ridge," said one native with Kokum.

"That makes more than 100!" said the serious warrior.

But while all the others were busting their backs working, Palpatine was lounging about and munching on roasted nuna leg.

"Anything yet?" Palpatine asked Anakim.

"Nothing but rocks and dirt, Governor." said Anakim.

"How long are we going to keep digging like this, sir?" asked Tarkin.

"Indeed," said Ben Kenobi. "We are slaving away, busting our backs day and night..."

"For king and kingdom, I know, I know." Palpatine said. "And I share your fatigue. Tarkin! Tarkin!"

The governor practically threw the dish in Tarkin's face, and he, in turn decided to play fetch with Arfor. But when he threw the stick, it landed near where one of the natives was spying on the humans. Unfortunately, Arfor spotted them and started barking.

"Savages!" exclaimed Palpatine. "It's an ambush! arm yourselves"

The men all grabbed their guns and started to shoot at the natives, while the latter began firing their arrows at the invaders.

"Where is that blasted Fett when I need him?" Palpatine growled.

He then shot one of the natives named Namontan, which Kokum was quick to see. And then one of Palpatine's men attempted to hit him with the gun again, only for Kokum to jump in and stop him and overpower him easily.

Kokum picked up the injured Togruta and began escorting his group back to the village, the humans cheering as they believed they'd scared off the so-called savages.

"Shut up. Shut up, you fools!" Palpatine bellowed. "They'll be back. Everyone back to camp. Get the rest of the cannons ashore, finish building the fort!"

Grace and Leena were shocked when they finally came across the Togruta village. They were shocked when they saw an injured Togruta being brought to a tent, where Gantika performed a healing ritual.

"These beats invade out shores, and now this." said Chief Pav-Ti.

"This wound is strange to me," said Gantika.

The chief then decided there was only one course of action.

"We will fight this enemy, but we cannot do it alone."

"And we can help you," said a new voice.

The Togrutas immediately became frightened when they saw Grace and Leena. Both girls, however, lifted their arms.

"Don't be afraid." Graciella said. "We mean you no harm. My name is Graciella Skywalker, and this is my sister Leena."

The Natives however, lifted their arrows.

"Why have you come here?" said Pav-Ti. "Why have your people harmed one of our own?"

"My sister and I, we came in secret. The men in that ship don't even know we're here. They're here because their greedy leader Governor Palpatine intends to dig up this land and destroy it to find a rich substance called gold."

"What is gold?" asked one Native.

Grace took off a gold bracelet she wore that her grandmother had given her.

"Gold is a yellow metal that comes out of the ground. Humans treasure it because it is worth a lot of a soulless other something called money. It has the power to make people very greedy and destructive, and that is why Governor Palpatine has invaded so many other lands and attempted to plunder and commit genocide among the natives not much different than you."

Grace and Leena explained to the Natives that she had seen these men at work before, and she knew how they could be defeated.

"Those men will say that I am committing treason," said Grace. "But in truth, they are the ones committing many more crimes, and they must be stopped before they destroy anyone else. Therefore, we would like to peacefully offer our assistance in fighting these enemies."

Leena brought out her own journal, in which she had written down and drawn all the tactics their people's men had used in the past, how their weapons worked, and every weakness they could find.

"If you would allow, we can teach you to fight these men," said Grace.

Chief Pav-Ti thought about it. If these girls knew the enemy as well as they claimed and were willing to help, he could not afford to pass up a fighting chance for his people. Still, they would need more help.

"Kokum, send messengers to every village on the island. We will call on our brothers to help us fight."

The chief announced to his people that the white men were dangerous, but the two white women were not. No one was to go near the male invaders, but all were to listen to the females who were going to teach them how to fight the men.

Grace gathered all the grown natives while Leena showed them images of what kind of weapons the men had and how they worked. The two human girls had a plan to make the men easier to defeat. At the dark of night, they would have to lessen the men's ammunition by taking the power source and destroying the weapons and weakening their defenses. Knowing the cowardice of many of the men, Grace knew the men would sooner run away from the fight if their equipment stopped working than stay and find another way.

("She was either the smartest or craziest woman in history," said Ahsoka.

"Yes. A tough woman, Graciella was." Yoda said. "Ahead of her time, she was, often misunderstood also. Knew the risks she did.")

Meanwhile, Ahsokahontas looked curiously at her reflection in Rax's helmet.

"It's called a helmet." said Rax.

"Helmet?"

"So... what river is this?"

"Quiyochonak," said Ahsokahontas, placing the helmet over one of her montrals.

"You have the most unusual names here." Rax said, trying to pronounce some other names he was not used to hearing, some of which were real tongue twisters.

"You have the most unusual name too... Raxon Fett."

"Most just call me Rax." said the human, when he noticed Mint was pecking in his bag. "Hey! Is this little blue bottomless pit a friend of yours?"

"Mint." Ashokahontas said, picking the bird up on her finger.

"Well, how do you do, Mint?" Rax said.

Rax then introduced Ahsokahontas to the concept of a handshake, explaining it as a greeting.

"This is how we say hello. Winggapo." Ahsokahontas explained. "And how we say goodbye, Anah."

Ahsokahontas taught these words to Rax.

It was then that Kora came and snorted at Rax.

"Hey!"

"Don't worry, that's just Kora." Ahsokahontas soothed, petting the moose's muzzle.

Kora picked up Rax's bag in her mouth, dropping its contents.

"What's this?" Ahsokahontas asked, picking up a compass.

"That is called a compass. It helps you find your way when you get lost." Rax said. "Got it in Dawnland."

"Dawnland? Is that your village?"

"Yes. It's a very big village. We call it a city."

"What's it like?"

"It's got streets filled with carriages, bridges over the rivers, and buildings as tall as trees."

"I'd like to see those things."

"You will."

"How?"

"We're going to build them here. We'll show your people how to use this land properly."

Rax climbed up onto a tree branch as he said this.

"How to make the most of it."

But Ahsokahontas quickly disliked what Rax was saying.

"Make the most of it?" she questioned.

"Yes. We'll build roads and decent houses."

"Our houses are fine," said Ahsokahontas.

"You think that only because you don't know any better."

"Excuse me?" Ahsokahontas said, offended. "You know nothing of my people, and you most certainly don't know me. So, why don't you do us all a favor an go back to whatever ignorant land you came from?"

Ahsokahontas turned her back and started to walk away.

"Wait a minute," begged Rax. "Don't take it that-"

Kora snorted and Mint squawked to stop Rax from going any farther. But Rax ran into the river as Ahsokahontas started to row away in her canoe.

"Wait! There's so much we can teach you." Rax said. "We've improved the lives of savages across the galaxy."

"Savages?!" Ahsokahontas exclaimed, looking furious.

"Not that you're a savage."

"Just my people."

"No. Listen, that's not what I meant. Let me explain."

Ahsokahontas threw out her hand, and Rax flew at least ten feet across the water with a big splash. Rax was shocked when he came up for air! She hadn't even touched him, and he flew across the water.

"How did you do that?" Rax asked.

("Whoa. She had the Force too." Ahsoka said.

"I guess being a Jedi was always in your blood." Gabby said.)

"Like I said, you know nothing of my people, much less one 'savage' such as myself alone."

Ahsokahontas continued to row away and then climbed up into the trees.

"Come on. Savage is just a word, you know?"

Rax started to climb after the Togruta princess.

"A term for... people who are uncivilized."

"Like me..."

"Well, when I say uncivilized, what I mean is-whoa!"

Rax fell as a branch he grabbed snapped and dropped him back into the water.

("Wow, he really didn't know how to talk to girls, did he?" Omega said. "Can't say I blame Ahsokahontas for pushing him like that.")

"What you mean is... not like you." Ahsokahontas said, lifting Rax's wet hair from his eyes.

You think I'm an ignorant savage
And you've been so many places
I guess it must be so
But still, I cannot see
If the savage one is me
How can there be so much that you don't know?
You don't know

Ahsokahontas brought Rax to a cliff where they could see so much more of the beautiful land. And then she showed him some of the natural resources of th eland up close.

You think you own whatever land you land on
The Earth is just a dead thing you can claim
But I know every rock and tree and creature
Has a life, has a spirit, has a name

Rax saw a big cat-like creature and was scared, but then she showed him that like his species, it had a family and children of its own, as well as a home.

You think the only people who are people
Are the people who look and think like you
But if you walk the footsteps of a stranger
You'll learn things you never knew, you never knew

Day by day Ahsokahontas showed Rax so many beautiful things within the land, teaching him how her people used them and connected to the natural resources and why they needed to be protected.

Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue corn moon?
Or asked the grinning bobcat why he grinned?
Can you sing with all the voices of the mountain?
Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?
Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?

Come run the hidden pine trails of the forest
Come taste the sun sweet berries of the Earth
Come roll in all the riches all around you
And for once, never wonder what they're worth

The rainstorm and the river are my brothers
The heron and the otter are my friends
And we are all connected to each other
In a circle, in a hoop that never ends

How high does the sycamore grow?
If you cut it down, then you'll never know

Rax started to open his eyes as Ahsokahontas showed him that although they looked different, the natives of Shili were not savage, nor were they any less intelligent than the humans simply because they had different traditions.

And you'll never hear the wolf cry to the blue corn moon
For whether we are white or copper skinned
We need to sing with all the voices of the mountain
We need to paint with all the colors of the wind

You can own the Earth and still
All you'll own is Earth until
You can paint with all the colors of the wind

But that one day, Ahsokahontas heard drumming in the distance that immediately got her frightened.

"What is it?" Rax asked.

"The drums. They mean trouble." Ahsokahontas explained. "I shouldn't be here."

Ahsokahontas started to leave, but Rax grabbed her hand.

"I want to see you again," he said.

"I can't."

Rax begged her not to leave, but Ahsokahontas told him she had to, and she ran off to find her people.
