The life of Sesshomaru and Ryokotsu (a.k.a Rin)

Chapter 10
Rankotsu POV

"Ryokotsu going with Sesshomaru?!" I yelled at my son. This child must be going out of his mind.

"Father I do not know why it is troubling you. This is for the good of this land.." answered Jakotsu.

"Jakotsu did you know what happened yesterday? The orb turned red when our Ryo was next to Sesshomaru. You know what that means?!" I asked.

"Although I saw it too but I don't know what it means, Father," he replied back, quietly.

"It means...they are meant to be mates." I explained.

"Jakotsu, it is best you retrieve from this idea my dear son. Mating season is approaching in a few weeks and he is scared out secret would be revealed," I heard my mate say.

"I know. I know mother, but this is for the good of Akumahitotoshi. If we don't act fast it puts everyone's life on the life," begged Jakotsu.

"It is true mate. Our baby was born to protect this land, darling." Tamayori, my mate, said, placing her hand on my shoulder.

I relaxed slightly and told them, "What about the safety of Ryo?"

"If they are to be mates, they will be one day or another, mate. We can't stop it but accept it." Tamayori implied. What? Accept?

"What accept it? You want to simply give away Ryokotsu to a cold and emotionless monster like him," I exploded.

"Father, from what I saw Master Sesshomaru acts much more softer and differently to her," Jakotsu began.

"Fine, but what about the secret? What if it is revealed? You know the consequences Jakotsu." I shouted.

"Father, Master Sesshomaru would not come down his pedestal to mate with a MAN!" Jakotsu retorted.

Just then we turned our heads, hearing the knock on the door into the throne room. Lord Inu no Taisho?!

"Enter my dear friend," I said, lowering my voice to sound calmer.

In an instant, Lord Inu no Taisho stood beside Jakotsu. "So... Ryokotsu I heard you mention something about my mention something about my son mating with a man," he stated.

"I am Jakotsu, my lord."

"Is that all you heard?!" I asked quickly. Please say yes. Please say yes.

"Yes, is there anything else I must hear?" he asked turning his attention to me.

"Yes, Lord Inu no Taisho, Master Sesshomaru and my brother, Ryokotsu, have gathered some information about the intruders I our lands. They were requesting to go on a mission to get more information." Jakotsu answered before I could.

"Isn't that a good thing?" Lord Taisho asked questioningly.

"Of course, Inu no Taisho. However, my son has just returned from war a mere week ago, would it be right to send him away so quickly?" I asked. That is the perfect excuse.

"We are not sending them away. They are asking to leave. Why must we not agree, my dear friend?" asked Lord Taisho. Oh no! What must I say?

"Lord Taisho, have you heard the rumour going around that Master Sesshomaru was interested in men? It had started ever since they heard Master Sesshomaru was with Ryokotsu that night. Father fears this may be true ad it is increased since Mating Season is approaching," saved Jakotsu.

"Of course not! You have nothing to fear Rankotsu. My son is too high in his pedestal to mate...let alone with a man," he stated, chuckling softly, "I guess this is what happens when we don't see someone in a long time."

"So do they have permission to leave, Lord Taisho?" Jakotsu asked. Damn that child.

"Of course, Jakotsu. Go and tell the two of them they can leave this morning," Taisho said with a smile. Oh dear friend, you know that what you do.

That morning...

Sesshomaru POV

Where is that girl? She has gone to prepare Ryokotsu and make him look like a women. All I have been doing was pacing on this ground, occasionally looking up at the y-shaped staircase, wondering what was taking them so long. Tamae must be having a lot of fun with him. The thought made my angry for some reason.

'Maybe it was because how he presented Tamae with a present last night and did not give me anything,' answered my youkai.

No..it wasn't I who felt those emotions. It must have been my youkai. Impatiently, I began to pace to up and down furiously. Until, a sweet scent hit my nose, making me pause. The scent was driving my senses insane.

I turned to face the stairs and before me stood the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. A woman who took away my breath for the first time in a 1000 years. Her Amazonian figure sat well on her wafer-thin body. She had a decanter shaped waist and her complexion had an impeccable, ochrous hue. Her eyebrows eased down gently to her black, long eyelashes. A sculptor could not have fashioned her seraph's ears and pixie's nose any better. When she broke into a smile, her beguiling, oyster-white teeth lit up the room. It could jolt you like an electric current when that megawatt smile gave you her full attention. Filed to perfection, her Venus-red fingernails ran through her thick black hair. Spools of it plunged around her photogenic face and hid a swan's neck, elegant and smooth. I loved her mysterious, deep golden eyes which sparkling. They were like two golden jewels melted onto snow. A marking of three red diamond-like pattern graced her forehead. There were two dark green strips on each of her cheeks, much like mine. Her calamine-pink lips looked as if they tasted like rose petals. It surprised me that they were plump as she had a demure, timorous personality. Her orange and green kimono still kept captive a sweet aroma. I felt my heart race as I watched as she gracefully descended down the stairs, as her hair flowed behind her.

"Sesshomaru..." she whispered to me in a dulcet voice as sweet as any songbird.

"MATEEE!" growled my youkai. Yes, indeed. My mate. I thought still unable to rip my eyes away from her.

Unintentionally, I moved my hand and touched her crest. Suddenly, an electric shock passed through my body, pulling me out of what I thought was just a dream. Was I the only one who felt that? Clearly not. I thought as I saw the woman before shudder slightly under my touch.

"Brother Sesshomaru, I see you are pleased with what you see," mocked my sister, Tamae. I took my hand back to my side and turned around to face the door.

"It is acceptable. Let's go, Rin." I said, as coldly as I could, my voice slightly softening when I said her name.

A/N: Sesshomaru is finally come to accept his emotions slightly! Aaaaah! *Fangirl moment* Now those two are going to have a lot of time together, what do you think is going to happen? Especially since mating season is so close. Muhahaha. Leave a review, let me hear your thoughts. It's 2am here, so...

Lady Inumaru: Here you go, I updated partially due to your request. Although, Sesshomaru hasn't gone completely nuts yet, he will in the future of course since Mating Season will start soon. ;)

JoinTheDarkSideOfMagic: The plot is very complicated *sweat drop* we might even need a sequel. Since they're going to be alone for a while, we'll see if Rin can break into Sesshomaru's heart. ;p
