I saw Grievous again.
I'm not blind to the mutterings within our ranks, the whispers of the cyborg general, the Jedislayer. General Grievous has become the Confederacy's most effective general, and has grown into a monster, a legend.
Me, I saw him before the legends started. When the Muunilinst 10 and I flew in to rescue the survivors of General Barrick's fleet, we saw his handiwork. An entire fleet destroyed, the wreckage of its ships strewn over the harsh landscape, their crews all killed or taken prisoner. Six Jedi had survived the initial attack, and Grievous had declared he would face them alone, to "grant them a warriors' death." he had entered the cruiser in which they had taken refuge, and the last one standing - Master Ki-adi-Mundi – had been able to hold his ground until we came. Grievous was relentless, agile, and nimble. He killed Billet, Racks, and Two-Six. He cut into my chest and left me prone on the ground.
For one moment, from the second I was cut down, until the gunship escaped the planet, I thought we were all going to die. I thought Grievous was going to defeat us. It was the first time I ever concluded that death was not just possible, but inevitable. This was the end.
But by a sheer stroke of luck, the gunship forced him back. We barely escaped alive, and three of my squadmates, three Jedi, and an entire fleet didn't. We survived. Yet, Grievous made me aware of my own mortality.
There he was again, and he almost killed us again. We just barely got away, again. Our final strike failed, and we were forced to retreat. Torgoria was lost.
Grievous is the CIS's mastermind, and I hope that we'll get the chance to face him again. He's the greatest threat the CIS can throw at us. There will be no peace until he's taken down for good. And I hope we get to do it. That'll be quite a relief. - End Log
