Chapter 86
Since there are no people like Tobias using a Legendary Pokemon in the League, Ash wins this one and he can face the Sinnoh Elite Four. The first member is Aaron, and he uses Yanmega, Scizor, Heracross, Vespiquen, and Drapion. Ash uses his Rock and Fire Type Pokemon to win the first four, and he uses Donphan for the Drapion and emerges victorious.
"You're doing a great job, Donphan." Ash smiles as he hugs the Pokemon. Alice says, "Donphan sure is strong in this battle."
"Yeah, I still remember him as a Phanpy that I hatched in Johto." Ash smiles. "That reminds me, the second Elite Four member is Bertha, she specializes in Ground Type."
"You're right. But I'm sure you can do it." Alice says.
Donphan: Ability: Sand Veil. Moves: Fury Attack, Rapid Spin, Fire Fang, Thunder Fang, Magnitude, Stomping Tantrum
The second Elite Four member Bertha is using Whiscash, Gliscor, Hippowdon, Golem, and Rhyperior. Ash uses Grass and Water Type Pokemon to give him the Type advantage and win the match. After they're done, they decide to go to Galar and capture some new Pokemon.
The first place is Galar Mine No. 2. Ash says, "Remember to watch your step, Alice. The Pokemon we're looking for might be trying to bite you on the foot."
"Of course." Alice says as they look at the ground, and they manage to find the Galarian Stunfisk and captures it.
Their next destination is Route 6, which is west of Hammerlocke. The Pokemon they find there are Silicobra and a Galarian Yamask. By taking Yamask under the Dusty Bowl while having a lot of damage, it evolves into Runerigus. After Silicobra evolves into Sandaconda, they also give him the Max Soup to give him the ability to Gigantamax.
Galarian Stunfisk: Ability: Mimicry. Moves: Muddy Water, Snap Trap, Fissure, Iron Defense, Metal Claw, Metal Sound
Sandaconda: Ability: Sand Spit. Moves: Skull Bash, Slam, Coil, Dig, Sand Tomb, Sandstorm
Runerigus: Ability: Wandering Spirit. Moves: Scary Face, Earthquake, Power Split, Destiny Bond, Poltergeist, Shadow Claw
After they're done, they head back to Sinnoh for another Elite Four battle and this time he's facing Flint, who uses Houndoom, Flareon, Rapidash, Infernape, and Magmortar. Ash goes for Ground and Water Type Pokemon to battle this one and win the match in the end.
Then they head to the Kanto Region to capture some Ground-Type Pokemon. The first Pokemon is the Sandshrew at Route 4, they also train and evolve it into Sandslash in the end.
The next location is Diglett's Tunnel, where they find a Dugtrio and capture it, and they are glad since it saves time trying to evolve it in the end.
Their final destination is the Pokemon Tower. "I still remember Golly's Buried Alive inside this tower... why are we here again?" Alice asks.
"We're here because of a Pokemon that want to find." Ash says, and they manage to find the Pokemon, which is not a Ghost Type, but a Cubone, and it is the only Pokemon they need to find. They also train the Cubone and evolve it into a Marowak.
Sandslash: Ability: Sand Rush. Moves: Crush Claw, Swords Dance, Dig, Earthquake, Sandstorm, Gyro Ball
Dugtrio: Ability: Arena Trap. Moves: Slash, Dig, Earthquake, Sand Tomb, Sandstorm, Night Slash
Marowak: Ability: Battle Armor. Moves: Double-Edge, Retaliate, Fire Punch, Bone Club, Bonemerang, Fling
And for the final Sinnoh Elite Four, there is Lucian. He uses Mr. Mime, Espeon, Bronzong, Alakazam, and Gallade. Ash uses Dark and Ghost Type Pokemon to win the match and get the chance to battle Cynthia again.
Ash says, "So the time has come... you know, there is a reason why I choose Sinnoh and Galar last. I battled both Champions in the full six-on-six battles back in the World Coronation Series."
"And you won all of them." Alice smiles. "Not only that, but you've also battled them a lot of times since they are trying to get your World Champion Title, but you still emerge victorious in the end."
Ash nods, and they head to the Paldea Region for the last of the Ground Type Pokemon. The first capture is the Toedscool, and they evolve it into a Toedscruel in the end.
The next two Pokemon they capture are Paradox Donphan forms: Great Tusk and Iron Treads. Instead of going to Area Zero, Ash and Alice are now in Asato Desert.
"So why are we here instead of Area Zero?" Alice asks.
"Because Great Tusk and Iron Treads are probably somewhere in this desert. They might be Titans, but it will be dangerous if they manage to get in contact with humans."
"I see..." Alice says, "I have to assume Director Clavell asked you to do it?"
Ash nods as they find the two Pokemon and capture them, and much to their delight, they are also getting along well with Ash's own Donphan. And much to their surprise, Arceus also make Great Tusk a Shiny Pokemon because of a bet that he made with Mew. And this also caused the others to sweatdrop.
Toedscruel: Ability: Mycelium Might. Moves: Growth, Giga Drain, Spore, Earth Power, Mud-Slap, Hex
Great Tusk: Ability: Protosynthesis. Moves: Close Combat, Earthquake, Headlong Rush, Stomping Tantrum, Megahorn, Head Smash
Iron Treads: Ability: Quark Drive. Moves: Tera Blast (Steel), Earthquake, Stomping Tantrum, Megahorn, Heavy Slam, Steel Roller
Now it is another day when Delia is training Ash, Alice, and Trenor with Horse riding skills. They use Isolate Desert as the training spot because of how big it is.
Delia says, "Since there is nothing much to teach you, how about we try something else. Have you ever heard of Jousting?"
This causes them to be confused, and Alice asks, "What is that?"
"It is a game on horses that is very popular in the ancient Galar. People wear like knights and they will be holding a lance with blunted tips. The primary aim was to replicate a clash of heavy cavalry, with each participant trying hard to strike the opponent while riding towards him at high speed, breaking the lance on the opponent's shield or jousting armor if possible, or unhorsing him."
This causes them to get shocked, and Ash says, "Wow...it sounds very dangerous..."
"Yeah, are you sure you are going to let us play something like that?" Alice asks.
Delia says, "Don't worry about it, we have a lot of protection armor so that you won't be able to fall down that easily."
Ash and Alice decide to try it out as they get some training from both Delia and Valerie, when wearing the armor, Alice says, "Those sure are heavy..."
"Yeah. I wonder if our Rapidash can handle the weight..." Ash says.
After training for a while, they decide to try it out by having a competition.
The first time, Ash and Alice both charge at the same time, but Ash manages to dodge Alice's attack, and his lance strikes Alice, causing her to fall down the Galarian Rapidash. But luckily, she didn't get hurt due to the protection she has.
"That is one point for me." Ash says.
"I am not going to lose." Alice says as she gets back on her Rapidash. As for the second round, Alice accidentally pulls out the lance so early, and it causes Ash to get caught off guard, therefore it hits Ash and Ash falls this time.
"It is luck, but you won't be lucky in the last round." Ash says as he gets back on his Rapidash.
Alice thinks, "He is right… but I am not going to give up."
As both horses run, Alice feels like a figure in front of her, she holds her lance and gives a strike, while Ash also does it. Both people don't fall, but Alice's breaks, which means she wins.
"I won!" Alice says excitedly.
Ash sighs and says, "You can be a good knight, Alice." He shakes hands with Alice, and she accepts.
"It sure is a nice duel." Delia says. Valerie says, "Indeed, with this, your skill in jousting is going to be great."
Ash and Alice thank their parents for the teaching, and then Delia decides to teach them another kind of competition, which is roping. Because of it, Ash and Alice changed out of their knight outfits and change into cowboy outfits.
"Since you two are just practicing, you can use the Ground Rope for this one." Valerie says as the two of them use their aura to summon the ropes.
"So what are we going to do with this one?" Ash asks in confusion, and Delia says, "We are going to need a Pokemon to help us out, would you mind calling out your Tauros, Ash?"
"Sure. Although I have four of them with different forms, which one should I pick?" Ash says.
"I think we'll go with the Normal Type one since I'm familiar with that one and he can also use Double Team." Delia says.
Ash nods and he transfers the Tauros into the stadium. Ash asks the Tauros to use Double Team to create 11 copies, and they start to run around the stadium. Ash and Alice already mount their horses and Alice asks, "Why are we doing this?"
"Now this is how the game works, you'll have to use the rope and throw it at the real Tauros, the first one who does it wins the race."
Ash and Alice look at each other with a smirk, as they start to compete with each other, and eventually, Ash manages to throw the rope at his own Tauros, thus winning the game.
"Damn it, I was about to aim that one as well." Alice whines.
"Sorry, I got it first, but that is a fun game, don't you agree?" Ash asks.
"You're right." Alice says with a smile.
Then Delia also teaches them a lot of horse-related games, such as polo, which consists of more people playing as they use some sort of club to hit the ball to the goal. Ash calls Mark, Serena, Golly, Minami, Tox, and Dawn to play with them, as they have a lot of fun with this kind of sport.
And during the game, Ash and the others also notice that Trenor starts to develop feelings for Dawn and vice versa. The two of them have a lot of times when their minds are in sync, and they also score a lot of points for their own team.
"Looks like Trenor finally finds his own love." Mark says.
"I wonder when they will start to confess." Minami says.
"What about you and Sawyer? Any progress yet?" Serena asks, and Minami blushes a little before saying, "Come on, are you trying to tease me? We only just had a date last week."
"Sure." Ash says. "There is nothing to be embarrassed about if you really like him." Ash says.
"Like what?" Trenor and Dawn just finish talking as they join the group. Tox says, "That reminds me, Ash. You're going to face Cynthia tomorrow, right?"
"Yeah. Although I am pretty sure that I'm going to win this one. Ever since the battle in the World Coronation Series when I first defeated her for the first time, I have been on a winning streak against her."
"That might be true." Dawn says, "But overconfident will be a downfall as well."
Ash nods as they all leave Isolate Town and head to the castle for more training.
Here is a new chapter, and I decided to introduce some horse-related sports for Ash and Alice to play, and Ash and Alice also captured all the Ground Type Pokemon and now there are only two types left. However, there is still one more chapter before the new disguises, so I hope you like this chapter.
