I do not own Harry Potter, nor Assassins Creed. If I did own Assassins Creed, I would return the series back to its roots.

Hello guys, Badger here. I hope everyone is doing well. I'm sorry that it's been a short while since the First Chapter for this story was published. You see, as this story is only part 1 to a Trilogy, I wanted to spend some time to properly plan the trilogy out before continuing and now, I have a few solid plots and story lines to go with so now, here is chapter 2.

I hope you enjoy this chapter and I will see you at the end.

Chapter 2

More Going On Then You Might Think

The entire Great Hall fell silent. So silent, it would be possible to hear a pin drop on the stone floor. Everyone just stared at Harry Potter, The Boy-Who-Lived, wearing strange white robes as he stood beside two strange men.

Dumbledore, meanwhile, was equally relieved, as he was shocked. Relieved that Harry was, in fact, alive and well. However, that relief didn't tarnish his shock, seeing Harry standing with two strangers, who looked like they were a part of some strange organisation, if their clothing was anything to go by. Dumbledore didn't know who these people were, but he hoped they had good intentions. It took a few moments but, Dumbledore was able to find his voice.

"Mr Atsu…" He started

"Master Atsu" Toma interrupted gently, taking Dumbledore aback slightly

"Forgive me…Master Atsu" Dumbledore said "May I ask why Harry Potter, one of our students is under your care?"

"Novice Potter here has been in our care for nearly ten years now" Toma explained "Our Brotherhood has raised him, as well as training him in everything we know…however, we understand that he is magical and sadly, we no longer have the means to teach him such things, as such, we chose to bring him here so he can learn what we are unable to teach him"

"Well…on behalf of the Wizarding World, we thank you for bringing Harry here" Dumbledore gave a small smile, though he was still curious about these people "However, if it's alright with you gentleman, I would like a word with you after the Welcoming Feast"

"Of course" Toma bowed respectfully "In fact, we hope to have a few words ourselves, it is of dire urgence…do we have your permission to watch Novice Potter's sorting?"

"You do" Dumbledore nodded, noting that was the second time Toma had called Harry a 'Novice' "Harry Potter, please come up to the front and allow Professor McGonagall to place the Sorting Hat on your head, so we can see where you belong"

The entire Great Hall had watched in silence as Dumbledore conversed with Toma, each one of them confused as to what was going on. A few students had started whispering to one another, giving their own thoughts as to who these strangers were. When Harry made his way up to be sorted, everyone leaned forward in their seats, each one now interested in which House the Boy-Who-Lived would end up in. Harry sat calmly on the stool and allowed Professor McGonagall to place the Sorting Hat on his head, where he felt a strange tingling in his mind, before he heard a voice ring through his ears.

"My, my" The Voice said "I must say, I have never sorted a student like you before Mr Potter…or Novice Potter, should I say?"

"Are…Are you the Sorting Hat talking to me?" Harry asked, mentally

"I am Novice Potter" The Sorting Hat replied "It is my job to look through a student's mind and accurately place them in one of the four Houses, depending on what I find…though I must say, Novice Potter, I am at a loss on where to place you…you would do well in any of the Houses…however, those companions of yours, looking through your mind, Master Atsu is the definition of a Ravenclaw; Intelligent, with marvellous intuition and quick thinking, as well as a lifetime of wisdom…as for his friend Warrior Badger, the young man is a Slytherin through and through; He is incredibly cunning for a man so young, one with great resourcefulness with marvellous determination and shrewdness…but we are not here to sort them, we are here to sort you…hmm, tell me Novice Potter, if you could place yourself in any House, where would you rather go?"

"I don't mind" Harry shrugged "I don't really know anything about these Houses, so I can't make the choice myself…you said I would do well in any of them, so I trust your judgement, no matter what you decide"

"HA!" The Sorting Hat yelled out loud, making nearly everyone jump in shock at the sudden outburst "I'm glad you have trust in me Novice Potter…very well…in that case, I welcome you to…RAVENCLAW!"

Ignoring all the applause and cheers, Harry got off of the stool and handed the hat over to Professor McGonagall, who gave him a gentle smile. Smiling at her, in return, Harry walked towards the table were students had blue seams on their robes. Judging by how loudly they were cheering and clapping, Harry made the correct assumption they were Ravenclaw students and sat down on the first available seat, shaking hands with people who offered their hands, before the Welcoming Feast began.

Quirrell couldn't help but fidget in his seat, as he watched Harry Potter, with a murderous glare. The Boy-Who-Lived. The boy responsible for what has happened to his Master. Quirrell's Master needed a new body. Unicorns Blood could only sustain one for so long. Whilst Quirrell had expected Harry to arrive at Hogwarts to start his First Year. What he didn't expect was for Harry to arrive dressed in white robes with two strangers dressed in similar attire. Quirrell wasn't sure what it was about the two strangers, but his Master had a bad feeling about the two of them. His Master had doubts that they were regular wizards, or muggles, as they had been raising Potter for the past ten years. Through their mental link, his Master informed Quirrell to stay out of their way, at least, until they knew more about who they were.

Something Quirrell was in agreement on.

After the Welcoming Feast was over, Dumbledore led his Heads of Houses, along with Toma and James, who brought Harry along with them, to his Office. Hopefully their private conversation will help shed light on some questions Dumbledore had. Arriving in his office, Dumbledore offered for the white robed gentleman to sit, only for them to politely refuse and remain standing. Dumbledore waited until he was comfortable in his seat, before he started speaking.

"Master Atsu, I would like to thank you, again, for bringing Harry to Hogwarts" Dumbledore said "Though I must ask, how did Harry end up in your care, as I had him placed at the home where his only living relatives lived"

"Yes, we are aware of that" Toma replied "I was in the area, wearing suitable attire to blend in, when I saw young Harry on their doorstep…alone and cold…it's entirely possible that he would've died from the cold before his relatives found him, so I took him in"

"I told you Albus!" McGonagall spoke up "I told you we shouldn't have left him there!"

"I know, Minerva" Albus sighed "But I couldn't risk anyone spotting us…I now realise leaving him on the doorstep in the cold was a bad decision on my part…once more, I must thank you Master Atsu…I don't think I could handle the guilt if Harry had died that night"

"A simple mistake, one that can easily be forgiven" Toma said "We didn't plan on keeping Harry, we planned on returning him…however, one of our Mentors took a liking to Novice Potter and so, had him enrolled into our organisation"

"Organisation?" Filius Flitwick spoke up "May we ask, what is this organisation?"

"The Assassins Creed" Toma answered

"ASSASSINS!" McGonagall screeched "Albus, I knew we should've taken Harry into our own personal care…I thought it was bad enough that we left him with his relatives, but now I realised I was wrong…James and Lily Potter wouldn't want to see their son being raised by a bunch of…cutthroat assassins!"

"Lady, we are anything but cutthroats!" James Badger exclaimed, talking for the first time since arriving at Hogwarts, his eyes practically murderous "Assassins we may be, but we are not cutthroats, nor are we a cult, or murderers…we do nothing but bring peace to the world!"

"leniret te frater meus" Toma spoke, stopping James from continuing his rant, before he turned to the Hogwarts Staff "As my Brother stated, yes we are Assassins, but we aren't what you think…we are a Creed, a Brotherhood…we do not kill anyone and everyone, especially innocents…we only kill if necessary…the Assassins Creed purpose is to create peace in the world…though some people don't see it that way and wish to see us wiped out, the Templars especially"

Dumbledore had remained silent, when Toma explained the Assassins Creed. At first, he was worried, fearing that Harry was being raised to kill without hesitation, however he was beginning to relax. Whilst he wasn't happy that Harry was in the custody of an Assassins guild, he was at least happy to hear that, despite being Assassins, they didn't kill unless they had to. Though now he had a question of his own.

"Who are the Templars?" Dumbledore asked

"Tyrants!" James growled "They're an organisation that, for thousands of years, have hoped to control all of humanity and start a New World Order, with them as humanities Master's…for hundreds upon hundreds of years, The Assassins Creed has been at war with the Templars in hopes of stopping their plans to gain control…a war still ongoing today"

"A war?" Severus Snape spoke up, finding it difficult to believe everything they were being told "How has a war been going on without us hearing about it, especially a war that, you say has been going on for centuries?"

"Thankfully, we've been able to keep the war silent from the rest of the world, though keeping it silent has been proving more difficult in recent years" Toma explained "The war has stretched all over world, Egypt, Italy, France and over the last couple have years, has returned to Britain…which brings me to what I wished to speak with you about…Novice Potter isn't the first wizard we've had in the Assassins Creed, however there hasn't been a witch, or wizard in the Brotherhood for centuries, meaning we no longer have the necessary resources to teach Harry how to harness and use his magic…however, he is still a Novice, still under the teachings of the Assassins Creed…we ask for your permission for us to continue his teachings of the way of the Assassin, whilst he learns magic from your Professors"

Dumbledore leant back in his seat, in thought. This war with this group called the Templars, definitely sounded troublesome. Dumbledore wasn't sure how large this organisation was, but he feared they could prove a bigger problem then Voldemort if they were able to possess the necessary power to control humanity. This presented to Dumbledore, an opportunity.

"I accept" Dumbledore said, surprising the other Hogwarts staff members "In fact, Master Atsu, I think we can help each other"

"Do you really?" Toma said "How so?"

"There is a Dark Lord" Dumbledore said "A Dark Lord thought to be destroyed when he killed the Potters and tried to kill Harry…"

"This Dark Lord killed my parents?" Harry spoke up for the first time, having remained silent allowing his teachers to do the talking

"He did Harry" Dumbledore said, sadly "And he tried to kill you…however, his spell rebounded and destroyed his body, and left you with that scar of yours…despite his body being destroyed, his spirit lived on and has remained in hiding ever since…it's only a matter of time until he returns and will be re-joined by his followers…when he does, while I doubt he would make an allegiance with these Templars, it's still a possibility…if he does, it will mean bad news for both of us, so I suggest an alliance between us to help one another, with both of our problems"

"I can understand these concerns" Toma rubbed his chin "And I find myself in agreement with you…whilst I will need to speak to the Mentors of our Organisation, I think an alliance is best"

"Wonderful" Dumbledore smiled, before looking to the other staff members "If the rest of you don't mind, I would like to speak to our guests in private, and Filius, I would appreciate it if you take Harry here to the Ravenclaw Common Room"

Flitwick nodded, before guiding Harry out of the office, as the rest of the Hogwarts Head of Houses left the room. Toma waited until they all left, before he spoke up.

"There's something you don't want them to overhear, I take it?" He asked

"Very observant, you would've made a good Ravenclaw" Dumbledore commented "And you're correct…there is a reason why this Dark Lord still lives in spirit…he created fail safes, containing his soul…it's some of the darkest magic humanly possible, unless those fail safes are destroyed, he will remain immortal…the magic behind it is so dark, the fewer people who know about it, the better…I have spent the last few years trying to figure out what these fail safes could be…I only know of one thus far…Harry's scar"

"Are you saying Harry's scar, contains the soul of this Dark Lord?" Toma asked

"Yes" Dumbledore nodded "I have done research on what little there is about the magic behind these fail safes…while they can be destroyed, destroying the soul will result in the container being destroyed and would mean Harry would die…I refuse to allow that to happen, but I've been unable to find anything that can remove the fail safe without Harry having to die to do so…I hope that, with your help, we can find a way"

Toma and James were silent, as they processed everything that they had heard, until James spoke up.

"The Pieces of Eden" He muttered

"Can you explain?" Dumbledore asked "What are these Pieces of Eden?"

"The Pieces of Eden are ancient artefacts, created centuries ago, by the Isu" James said "Artefacts that possess great power…power that can be used to create, destroy and control…for hundreds of years the Templars have hoped to gain possession of these artefacts to help their cause…that's why the Templars came back to Britain a few years back…both the Templars and the Assassins Creed believe that one of these Artefacts has been hidden somewhere in Britain by one of the Ancient Assassins…it's been a race to find the Artefact first…if we can find this Artefact, perhaps we can use it to help remove this fail safe, with risking Harrys life"

"That could work" Toma nodded, before turning to Dumbledore "I think we have an agreement, we will help you, if you help us, with the Templars as well as the search of the Piece of Eden"

"If it ends a war, and Harry's life isn't at stake, then that's all I ask for" Dumbledore replied "I will have a House Elf sort out a place for you two to stay…I look forward to working with you Master Atsu"

Elsewhere, an Assassin groaned in pain, as he was thrown to the hard ground. His robes were torn to shreds and he was losing blood fast, from multiple cuts on his body. As he tried to get back up, he was grabbed by the throat, by a man wearing the robes of the Templars. With all his strength, the Templar lifted the Assassin in the air, who was struggling to release his grip. With a smirk, the Templar dropped him and, with a quick flick of a knife, slashed the Assassins throat. The Assassin choked on his own blood, as he collapsed to the ground, his hand on his throat, where he slowly bled to death, a thick pool of blood staining the dirt a dark crimson.

"I find it pathetic that these Assassins continue to fight us" The Templar said

"Stubborn and foolish" Another Templar said, approaching "They have put up a good fight over the last few centuries, but their efforts will only prove to be futile and wasted when the New World Order begins…especially when we are getting closer to finding the Piece of Eden"

"You say 'closer', I say 'No where near'" The first Templar said "How can we be sure that our sources telling us a Piece of Eden is in Britain, is as solid as we were told"

"Are you questioning the Templar cause boy?" The second Templar asked, a murderous glare in his eyes "I'm telling you boy, the Piece of Eden is here…when we find it, we will have unimaginable power in our hands…power which we will use to wipe out the Assassins Creed and remake the world in our image…Trust me boy, the New World Order is fast approaching"

And that is Chapter 2. Do let me know what you thought.

When it came to writing this chapter, the biggest issue I came across was which House to put Harry in. I felt like he could've gone in any House, and for the longest time I was debating between either Gryffindor or Hufflepuff and I nearly went with Hufflepuff, however after much consideration, I decided to place him in Ravenclaw, as I want Harry to be the more resourceful and quick thinking kind of Assassin (Think of the older version of Ezio from AC: Revelations).

When planning this story, I decided to do something different with Dumbledore. In a lot of my stories I've made him the manipulative 'everything is for the Greater Good' kind of character, but I wanted to do something different. Which is why, in this trilogy, we will see Dumbledore work with the Assassins Creed, to take down Voldemort and the Templars. Whether the rest of the Wizarding World will join the alliance is a question you'll have to wait to see the answers to. If you do have any questions about this trilogy, feel free to ask, though I may not be able to answer every question put my way.

Anyway, that is all for now, I hope you enjoyed and I will see you next time.
