WereDogs Chapter 10: Bitten
Later that night.
Bingo wondered what happens on half moons. "Watch and learn!" Bandit said as he slowly backed up. He grew some dog ears and a tail. "Woah…" Bingo was astonished by what her father looked like. "Half moons are more different than normal moons. WereDogs get a tail and some ears on half moons. So you can do a lot more. Your body doesn't transform into a dog body." Chilli told Bingo. Bingo walked outside. She felt her tail grow and her ears slowly shifted. It didn't feel great at first, but she found it very cool. Bluey and Chilli grew their ears and tail. "Now, we can play whatever you want." Bluey said. "I wanna play Bus!!" And so they did. This was a new normal for Bingo. But she enjoyed it very much. They slept very peacefully.
The next morning.
The Heelers woke up fully clothed this time. Chilli was in a good mood again. The kids got ready for school. You know where this heads. We've been over this. It's after school, Muffin and Socks arrived. "Now, you two behave! Daddy and I are going to have time to ourselves." Trixie said. "Okay bye, mummy!!" Muffin replied. Later Mackenzie came in. "Who are you?!" Muffin asked. Mackenzie introduced himself to Muffin and Socks. The Heelers transformed and played with Mackenzie. This happened every night with Mackenzie, Bluey, Bingo, Chilli and Bandit. Chilli woke up every morning feeling great. The inner thought had finally left Chilli's body. It was too weak to stay in her cheered up brain. One day someone's happiness would soon be gone. School was out, and Mackenzie asked his dad if Bluey could visit his house for a bit. Chilli and Mackenzie's dad approved of Bluey spending time at his house for a while. As long as she went home by six, because it was going to be a full moon tonight. The shriveled up Inner Thought knew something bad would happen. This was a sign that it was still worthy of taking over people's emotions. It found it's way into Bluey's brain. She was oblivious of the Inner Thought.
Later at Mackenzie's House
Mackenzie told Bluey all about his special interests and what they could play. They watched Amphibia, and they played tag outside in Mackenzie's front yard. The sun went down. "Hey Bluey! It's going to be a full moon tonight! My dad said so!" Mackenzie said. "Great! Now what should we-" Bluey realized what her friend had said. Her pupils shrunk. "Mackenzie, I-I gotta go!" She stuttered. "Why now?! We were just getting started." Mackenzie replied. "I transform on full moons too not just regular moons." Bluey was panicking. "Then stay here! I don't mind a dog at my house!" Mackenzie suggested. "No! I don't transform into a normal dog on full moons! I transform into an even bigger one!!" Bluey yelled. "I understand! But the bigger the better, right?" Mackenzie wasn't told about full moons ahead of time. "Just stay with me for a bit longer." He held his hand out to Bluey. Bluey got really pissed off. She couldn't take it anymore. She knew the only other solution. The moon rises. Her WereDog teeth grew, and her snout did too "I. Said. NO!!!"
CHOMP
She bit Mackenzie's hand really hard. Mackenzie's pupils shrunk. He looked at his hand. It was bleeding. Bluey was fully transformed. She looked at Mackenzie's bitten hand. Mackenzie screamed and started sobbing. Bluey realized what she had done. She whimpered, got scared and ran home. "Mackenzie! Is everything oka-" Mackenzie's dad looked at his son's bloody hand. Mackenzie was still crying. "LOREN!!! GET THE MEDICAL KIT!!!" He carried his injured son inside. "What happened, Mackenzie?! WHO DID THIS TO YOU?!" His dad asked. Mackenzie stopped crying. "I-I don't know! I just wasn't paying attention and… I don't know!!" He lied.
Meanwhile…
"Okay! Chilli and Bingo are in their cages. Now what about Bluey?" Bandit asked himself. "OH MY GOD!! BLUEY!!!" He ran out of the bunker and straight to the front door. He opened the door only to find his daughter with tears in her eyes, her pupils constricted, and bloody teeth. Bandit saw that his daughter was upset with something, but he didn't know what. He hugged his daughter to comfort her, but she was still crying. "Come with me." He walked with Bluey down the bunker. He locked the bunker door. Chilli saw her heartbroken daughter go in her cage. Chilli was a lot less feral ever since the Inner Thought left her body. Bingo looked at her sister. She felt really bad about Bluey. Bandit opened the blackout curtains, revealing the full moon. Bandit then transformed.
The next Morning:
Everyone woke up. Except for Bluey. "Bingo, can you go get some new clothes for us?" Bandit asked. Bingo went to get some clothes. Chilli and Bandit put their clothes on. Bingo put a new set of clothes on. Bluey woke up. She started sobbing. Chilli heard her sobbing. She walked to Bluey's glass cage and opened it. "What's wrong?" Chilli asked. Bluey slowly calmed down. "I bit Mackenzie because he lost track of time and tried to keep me at his house, I tried telling him no, but he kept insisting and that's when I lost it." Bluey sniffled. "Now please, just lock me in here for the rest of my life. I deserve it." She said. Chilli started sobbing and hugging her crying daughter.
