"Milo," Claire said, "be careful it's a..."
"Were you about to say trap Dr. Simpson," Jerry said.
"Son of a bitch," Milo said
"Surprised to see me Mr. Giambetti."
Milo looked at the man who had once held his brother and about fourteen other people hostage in February 2007.
"Not really, I mean I thought it was going to be Karpov after all this is his where house but your just as sick and twisted as he is so..."
"Sick and twisted is that a complement or an insult."
Milo gave the man who was holding the woman he loved a look.
"I would be careful of that answer after all I am pulling all the strings."
It was then he pulled out what resembled a rope or cord from the pocket of his jacket. A cunning grin crossing his lips.
"If you know what I mean," he said now snapping the cord and moving closer to Claire.
Milo, who had been in life or death standoffs numerous times before, was now genuinely scared to death. He had no doubt in his mind that a sociopath like Jerry Jacks would strangle a woman right in front of him.

In the shadows where Kyle and Matt still lurked a tear ran down Kyle's cheek.
"No," he said under his breath, "not Claire."
"Easy man don't be such a girl," Matt said as Kyle gave him a death glare, "I mean if Milo is just half the man his boss Morgan is I think your girl will be fine."
Kyle nodded hoping that Dr. Hunter was right and Claire would be safe from harm.

Meanwhile back at Kelly's the foursome was still seated around Spinelli's laptop reading all the gory details of Jerry Jacks's shady past.
"So the man held fifteen people hostage, blew up the Metro Court Lobby and killed Nurse Johnson's son amongst other things," Lucas said.
"Not to mention the Unhinged One has Claire in his clutches as we speak."
"Spin," Maxie said resting her head on Spinelli's shoulder, "We have to do something; we need to tell my dad."
"And while we're at it," Nadine said, "we need to tell Epiphany about Stan's killer."
"And what about Claire,' Lucas said, "Should we tip Mac and the PCPD off on that as well."
"Yes, yes, and no guys, I mean sure the Commissioner needs to know about the Unhinged One and Nurse Johnson needs to know about her departed progeny but the Jackal feels that the Protector of the Night and his team can rescue the Doctor in Distress."
"I only hope your right," Maxie said as she rested her head on her boyfriends shoulder.

Still waving the rope in his hand and flashing a maniacal grin Jerry's eyes spotted the other two men.
"Come out of hiding gentleman, I see you."
Matt and Kyle looked at each other before coming into the clearing.
"Kyle," Claire shouted.
"Hey Claire."
"What are you doing here?"
"I thought I'd be your white knight and come to rescue you."
Claire smiled at her friend and eyed Dr. Hunter wondering what selfish motive he had to play hero and making a mental note to ask him if they ever got out of this alive.
"How noble of you Dr. Julian."
"He knows my name, how does he know my name."
"He's like this creepy big brother."
A chill ran down Kyle's spine as he thought of this man watching him make his every move.
"Anyway, I would like to commend you gentlemen for finding your dear friend. Unfortunate however that your work was done in vain."
'You're seriously going to strangle her."
Jerry grinned.
"There is no need to now, not when the gangs all here."
Reaching into his pocket he pulled out a small black box. Milo instantly noticed it was a detonator of some kind and he watched silently as Jerry grinned.

They arrived at the Port Charles Police Department and were immediately greeted by Detective Harper who looked at the motley crew of the Commissioner's daughter, Morgan's Tec guy, a Nurse, and a young man he never seen before and rolled his eyes.
"What's going on here," he asked.
Maxie smiled politely at the officer.
"We wanted to know if my dad was in Harper."
"Your father is in his office right now but..."
Before Harper could finish Maxie looked at the three people she was with.
"Spinelli and I will go see my dad, you two stay out here."
Nadine and Lucas nodded as they took a seat in the station.
"So, since where here Lucas let me tell you about the one time I was arrested for..."
The voices of their companions faded away as they entered the commissioner's office.
Mac Scorpio rolled his eyes. He already hated the fact that his daughter was dating a criminal but seeing them together at the station he knew something was up. Grabbing the collar of the young mans shirt he gave him the death glare.
"What did you get my daughter into this time?"

"Do you guys know what this is," Jerry said motioning to the box in his hand.
The trio nodded as Jerry continued.
"This is a detonator and once I press it then it's literally going to be a race against time before this whole place blows up."
"But what about Karpov, this is his where house," Milo asked.
Jerry grinned.
"That is the best part, though I am working for Karpov so in reality he already knows it's my doing he will naturally blame Sonny and BOOM."
"You're not seriously going to do this," Matt said.
"Why not, I mean clearly Dr. Hunter I know you and Mr. Giambetti were on to the whole drug scam which was why I shot Mr. Giambetti the first time around."
Milo rolled his eyes at that.
"And it's why I captured Dr. Simpson; I knew she was his girlfriend."
"But why not get to me...or to Nurse Crowell."
"Ahhhh the Lovely Nadine, I thought about using her to lure you Dr. Hunter but thought since Mr. Giambetti was in Sonny's employ he would be a better target as it would all be tied back to the mob and not to my hands."

"Dad let go of Spinelli, he did nothing wrong."
Mac looked at his daughters sincere eyes and let go the young man who was now panting.
"Then what brings the two of you here, now."
Spinelli took a deep breath.
"Well Commissioner Sir, Jackal PI has been working on some leads and has found some information that could prove to be informative for your men."
"English."
"Spinelli has something big dad."
Mac nodded and watched as Spinelli flipped open his laptop and smiled.
"I give you the file of Dr. Marou," he said laughing at himself for his play on words.
Mac looked at the screen, his eyes wide in shock.

"Spinelli was right in calling you the Unhinged One."
Jerry grinned and nodded thinking of the Jackal and secretly wishing he was the one playing hero as there was so much that he would say to him.
"So do you want to play a little game?"
Jerry didn't wait for an answer as he held up the detonator and smiled.
"I'm placing this back into my pocket and maybe I'll press it, maybe I won't."
"If you press it it's suicide."
"Dr. Hunter you have allot to learn."
Jerry grinned placing the detonator in his pocket with no real intentions to push it though he pushed it anyway.

"Metro Court, Stan Johnson, Michael Corinthos, The Drug Ring...you hit gold here Spinelli."
The young man grinned.
"Thank you Commissioner Sir."
"Seriously Spinelli have you ever given thought to leaving Jason and the mob and joining the Police Force."
He felt good inside as the Commissioner said this.
"Seriously, you think the Jackal would make a good cop."
"If you are as good a cop as you are a PI then yes."
"Deepest Gratitude Sir."
"So dad, what happens now?"
"Well, that's for the police to figure out but don't worry, Jerry Jacks is going to get his."
Maxie smiled.
"That's good."
She hugged her father.
"Now if it's alright should we head to GH and tell Epiphany about the fact we found her sons killer or should she wait for the press conference."
Mac looked at his daughter then to her boyfriend.
"Well you did promise Epiphany you'd look into her son's murder."
"That the Jackal did."
"Then I don't see why you shouldn't tell her now."
Spinelli nodded as he and Maxie headed out of the office.

Jerry and the four people with him stood in the dank and darkening warehouse as the moments ticked by.
Suddenly the sound of beeping took them all off guard and Jerry rolled his eyes making the gang realize that it was unintentional and the mad man genuinely didn't realize he hit the trigger.
BEEP-BEEP...
"Jerry untie Claire so we can all make a brake for it," Milo yelled.
BEEP-BEEP...
"I can't, well I can but what would be the point, there is no time."
BEEP-BEEP...
"What do you mean no time," Claire shouted from where she was tied up.
BEEP...
The beeping suddenly stopped and all of a sudden an explosion erupted and for the five people in the where house everything went black.

Man what a cliffhanger huh...
Anyway I don't know what the ultimate fate will be between those in the explosion, if anyone will die or the extent of injuries...so any ideas..
