Total Eclipse of the Heart

WOW it's been over a month since I last updated and I'm truly sorry. I was just not getting along with the muse and felt that this was written into a hole. That being said I FINALY restructured my outline and I feel I'm good to go. Also note that because it's been so long I don't remember minute details like if I mentioned if JoLu were on the run or what and if I talked about Skate's relationship as at least the latter I have planed to come up. Also I'm pretty sure I mentioned Matt/Patrick was brothers and if not...well I am now. Anyways thank you to all who are still reading this for waiting this out. And now without further ado....

He rolled over taking in the warmth of her body. Though this was his second time having her it felt very much like his first as he looked over at his sleeping beauty. It was then that he noticed his cell phone blinking and realized it was back to reality.

Lowering his tone to a whisper he looked at the caller ID.

"Hello."

"Spinelli why didn't you pick up last night."

"I was other wise engaged."

"What did Jason have you doing?"

"I'll have you know the Jackal has other things in his life other then serving Stone Cold."

From his end Milo's lips turned up to a curve.

"Do these things have to do with a certain blonde daughter of the police commissioner?"

"Maybe."

Maxie began to stir by his side.

"Man I need to go...meet you at the office in 30."

"Is she coming?"

"Probably is that alright."

Milo shrugged.

"Not that she doesn't know about all this so far already."

"So it's about..."

"Yep...anyway see you in 30."

Hanging up he looked at her tiny blonde frame naked from underneath his sheets smiling at her.

"See who in 30, please don't tell me you have another girl already lined up."

"Of course not," he said flopping down, "you're the only girl I need Maximista."

He paused as she looked at her with her sweet blue eyes. Even un made up she was still the most beautiful thing he had ever laid his eyes on.

"It was Milo."

"Work stuff," she said getting up and rummaging through his room for her cloths, I understand."

"You are more then welcome to come."

"As much as I'd love that Kate needs me and...."

She was muted by his lips as she wondered when her life became perfect.

"Well I could use a cup of coffee."

--

They didn't realize that they had both fallen asleep to Kenny Ortega's greatest hits until the sound of the door opened and the voice of Mac Scorpio rang through the air.

"What is going on here?"

Nadine looked into the commissioners eyes and blushed.

"I'm so-so sorry."

He didn't take too kindly to the apology.

"I aloud you to move in to take care of Matt's injuries not to play house."

"Y-yes sir."

"And Matt you are my tenant and if you weren't recovering which from the looks of it you're a fast healer, I would kick you out right now."

"I-it will...cough....it will never happen again."

Mac nodded as he looked at the duo. He really wasn't in the mood for this not after being at the station all night working on trying to keep the every day low life's who weren't the Port Charles mob off the streets all the while listing to his niece Robin's relationship and pregnancy dramas and praying that his only living daughter wasn't being the Mobs latest casualty.

"I-I should get going."

Mac looked over at Nadine insisting that while she was there to at the very least freshen up because not only did he not want to be a bad host but he wanted to talk to Matt....In Private.

Kyle wished he didn't have to leave his date to go to the hospital. To him the only silver lining to that was getting to see Claire.

Making his way up the walk to the brownstone where he was currently living he allowed the smell of sausages to waft through his nose.

"Good morning Sunshine, how was your shift."

Kyle smiled at his new boyfriend who was dressed in only a pair of flannel pajama bottoms, his hair all tussled.

"Well it wasn't really a shift," Kyle said as he was instructed to sit down at the table, "My brother of all people wanted me to assist."

"So how did it go?"

"Well the patient survived if that's what you're asking..."

"I meant with you and Leo."

Kyle shrugged.

"Who knew it would take me being on the brink of death for my brother to acknowledge me."

"But you weren't..."

"Shh don't tell Leo that...anyway is that sausage I smell."

Lucas nodded.

"Sausage, Pancakes, Eggs...."

--

The couple arrived at the coffee house and was greeted by Milo.

"The lovebirds have arrived."

Maxie slugged Spinelli.

"Spinelli," she whispered as a grin crossed his lips causing her to laugh.

"The usual," the barista asked walking over to the table where Maxie and Spinelli sat.

Maxie nodded as Milo looked on at the couple.

"Alright so last night I talked to Sam."

"Fair Samantha, what does she have to do with....you know."

"Well apparently we aren't the only ones investigating in this whole drug scheme."

"Were not."

"Nope, turns out that Sam is working under cover with Karpov."

"So it IS the Russian Rogue who..."

Milo nodded.

"And it gets better."

"Better, better how."

"Turns out Claire told me that while Jerry was holding her captive he stepped out and Sasha stepped in."

"You mean the Slavic Seductress."

Milo nodded.

"One in the same...."

"Wow."

"I know."

"So what now."

"Well..."

Maxie looked over at the two men.

"I need to get going, Kate is expecting me."

The men nodded as Spinelli gave Maxie a kiss on the cheek promising he would call later.

--

There was a knock on Claire's hospital room door and she put down her book expecting to see Milo however that wasn't who it was.

"Patrick, what a surprise."

Dr. Drake smiled at the young blonde and motioned for a chair.

"May I have a seat?"

Claire nodded as Patrick sat.

"So I know you're just here while you're waiting for your house to get fixed but..."

"Don't tell me, I'm getting kicked out for a real patient."

"No surprisingly," he said thinking of recent Hospital Politics.

"Then what are my meds counterfeits because it would figure..."

"No, actually it's good news. I've been taking a special interest on your case and well."

"Well."

"I think you have a fighting chance."

"To walk."

Patrick nodded explaining that her paralysis was all but temporary and that with a bit of therapy she'd be able to walk again sooner rather then later.

--

"So is he gone," Nadine asked heading down the stairs.

Matt nodded.

"So what did he want to talk to you about?"

Matt curled his lips into a smile.

"Oh you know just the latest chapter of my brother's baby mama drama. I just don't know why they don't just run to Vegas or Atlantic City or something."

Nadine shrugged.

"It's cause their both stubborn as mules...."

He listened as she went into her cute little ramblings of what Aunt Raylene said making him let out a laugh.

"What's so funny?"

"Nothing."

"Then why are you laughing."

"I'm not...anyway does the nurse think that I'm physically able to go to Kelly's for a proper breakfast."

"What you don't want pop tarts."

Matt shook his head.

"Well then as they say breakfast is the most important meal of the day and you don't seem to be coughing too much so."

Matt smiled as he headed toward the bathroom thinking he could defiantly get used to this.

--

"Milo so all this information that you put in front of the Jackal makes me ponder our case even more."

"How so."

"Well I still have yet to tell the formidable nurse Epiphany about her sons real killer as I was other wise distracted last time, not to mention the fact that the Slavic Seductress's watching your girl solidifies the Russian Rogue and the Unhinged One being in cahoots."

"I don't know, should we tell the authorities or..."

"If we do I can just kiss my relationship with Maximista goodbye."

"Why do you say that?"

"It's just that Mac doesn't approve of my ties with Stone Cold and the Port Charles underworld and...."

"And telling him over Jason about our findings would prove to him that you are on the side of good."

Spinelli smiled.

"You think."

Milo nodded as the two men spent the remainder of the morning plotting out what to do next so that all this could be over.
