After the meeting with Mac, Stone Cold and Milo, Spinelli immediately made his way toward the Metro Court as he wanted to be the one to tell Maxie about everything that had gone down in the office and not her father.

As the elevator stopped on the offices floor the blonde looked up from her desk and smiled at him as she talked on her headset.

"I know Federico, I know...."

Spinelli rolled his eyes. She was talking to Federico yet again making him feel a pang of jealousy in his stomach for although he knew that Maximista now was his a part of him wondered if she would rather be with someone as fashion savvy as her buddy from the city.

Watching her click off from her call he swiftly approached the desk.

"Maximista did I come at a bad time."

She shook her head.

"Nope, I was just making cancellations for Kate."

"Cancellations."

"Yea, her wedding is off though Robin left a message on my cell telling me her and Patrick finally set a date...."

His hands clapped together as he listened to her finish her ramble.

"When one door closes," he began to say before she cut her off.

"No time for Damian Spinelli's proverb of the day...didn't you just hear me...Robin wants me to be maid of honor for her wedding Spinelli."

He just nodded.

"I'm being selfish again aren't I?"

There was silence for although Maxie did have her self centered moments it was a part of her that Spinelli loved among other things.

Shaking his head she simply smiled.

"Anyway you looked like you had something important to say Spin."

He nodded.

"Well Stone Cold and your father now know everything."

Maxie let in a deep breath.

"Everything," she replied in a questioning tone as his blue green eyes looked upon her.

"Yep, they know all about how the Jackal PI team cracked the case of the drug ring as well as whom was responsible for the little dude's shooting."

Maxie lowered her tone to a whisper now.

"Is Jason going to wack Claudia and what about the Russians?"

"I believe your father was going to take care of Vixenella, as for the Russians I have no clue as to what action will be taken."

"So long as we don't get caught in the crossfire I really don't care."

Spinelli nodded in agreement as one more thing crossed his mine.

"And Epiphany..."

"What about..." Maxie paused, "oh....so now will you tell her about Jerry Jacks finally."

He nodded.

"I will if you go with me."

Maxie looked at the stack of work on her desk and began to put it in the briefcase by her feet.

"Just let me pack this paperwork up and set the office calls to my voicemail and I'll be ready."

He clasped his hands together with anticipation as his first case was finally going to be closed.

Nadine entered the house to see Matt flipping through an old leather-bound book.

"Honey I'm home."

Matt looked up to see the quirky blonde and smiled.

"So, save any lives today."

"If by that do you mean if I assisted on anything major the nope just attending to other patience?"

Matt nodded.

"So Hunter whatcha doing"

He watched as she gave her that inquisitive look that sent him on overdrive as he closed the book and placed it on the coffee table.

"Nothing much, just looking at an old family album."

"You know that's called Snooping."

"Takes a snoop to know a snoop," he said grinning at her as she let out a giggle.

She knew saying that made her a hypocrite but she just wanted to see his smile.

"Anyway why are you snooping to look at the Commissioners Family Album anyway?"

Matt shrugged though he knew the reason why. It was because soon Mac's family would become his family when the commissioner's niece Robin married his half brother Patrick. However instead of saying all of that Matt simply said...

"I don't know, I was bored."

"You were bored."

"Yea, well maybe if I could go back to work."

"You have a vacation for like a few more days and all you want to do is work. Man you are your brother's brother."

"I'll take this as a complement."

She smiled as she began to rest her head on his shoulder.

Running his hands now through her blonde hair he decided what the heck.

"Patrick and Robin set a date and Patrick wants me to be his best man...."

Nadine smiled and Matt instantly knew she'd want him to recall all the details of his and Patrick's earlier conversation.

Kyle had been back at the house now and was in the living room as Lucas headed downstairs smiling as he looked the other man over giving him a nod of approval.

"So...is this too much."

Lucas shook his head as he continued to look at the other man who was dressed in a pair of kakis paired with a pale blue button down shirt covered with a grey sweater vest.

"It's perfect; anyway I want to apologize in advance for my family."

Kyle let out a laugh thinking about his own family. His brother Leo who thought he was god's gift to the field of Cardiology and his parents who although they loved him for being there miracle child would constantly deny the fact that he was gay.

"You never met my family."

"Not true, I met your brother Leo...he seemed nice."

"He only acted that way because I was in an accident, in real life he's an ass."

Lucas just rolled his eyes at that comment as family was the most important thing to him and that despite the Spencer's flaws he still loved each and every one of them.

"Anyway Lucas, why apologize about your family."

"Well first of all there is my older sister Carly who let's just say when I was a kid I thought of her as my step mother."

"You win," Kyle said as he thought the situation sounded weird.

Lucas smiled as he looked at the old clock hanging on the wall.

"Anyway I don't know if her husband or son will be attending but my mom did mention something about a new boyfriend joining her."

Nodding Kyle decided to ease tension.

"So long as he isn't my brother Leo I'm good."

Lucas just shook his head as he reached for the door knob.

As they arrived at the Hospital the dup immediately ran into Bobbie Spencer.

"Hi Bobbie," Maxie said smiling.

"Hi Maxie," the elder woman said, "Spinelli, so what are you two up to tonight, here to visit your friend Claire..."

Spinelli just nodded thinking that was the best answer without having to explain things to the nurse.

"Yes," Maxie said to her aunt and smiled as she was thinking the same thing Spinelli was.

Bobbie nodded.

"Well you kids behave, and speaking of kids I need to go."

"Carly need to be bailed out," Maxie murmured under her breath causing Spinelli to playfully slug her.

Bobbie thankfully didn't hear that but she smiled.

"Lucas is introducing me to his new boyfriend Kyle."

"Aunt Bobbie not to be rude but doesn't Kyle live at the brownstone."

"He is but I'm not."

Maxie just looked at her confused.

"I've moved in with Lucky at my brother's old place."

The young adults gave her a confused look.

"So let the jackal get it straight, you'd rather smother your nephew then your son."

Bobbie nodded as she looked at her watch and excused herself as she needed to get to the Metro Court and now.

Meanwhile across the hospital in Claire's room Milo was now seated as he too was done with meetings for the day.

"So now Morgan and the cops know all how does this benefit me?"

Milo gently stroked her hair and smiled.

"Well your house will be done soon and well it's good to know that my gal won't be used for leverage anymore."

"I'm your gal huh."

Milo nodded planting a small kiss on her cheek before looking at the bag by his feet.

"And because you're my gal I got you a little something."

"Another present."

Milo nodded as he pulled out a violet colored nightgown.

"I know those hospital gowns are starchy and your colleagues have been super nice letting you wear scrubs instead which as cute as they are...."

She gave him a sweet kiss to stop his rambling.

"I love it, though I won't be in here much longer."

Milo's mouth curled into a smile as he knew the blonde was sick of looking at the same four walls day in and day out.

"Your house is fixed."

She nodded as he gave her another hug.

"That's great, we need to celebrate you know, invite the whole gang."

"So they can see me mope in a wheelchair as opposed to a hospital bed no thanks."

Putting his arm around her he felt a pang of guilt as it was his mob involvement that snuffed out the sparkle Claire once had not knowing that she was harboring a secret about her condition from him.

Arriving at the Metro Court Lucas looked around and immediately spotted his sister who owned part of the hotel.

Carly spotted them too and immediately made her way toward Kyle and smiled.

"So you must be the man who's stolen my kid brother's heart."

Kyle nodded putting out his hand.

"Kyle Julian."

"Julian as in Dr. Leo Julian."

Kyle nodded hoping the blonde wouldn't measure him up to his brother.

"That's cool," she said instead of what he thought she would sending a sigh of relief through his spine as she smiled.

"I'm Lucas's sister Carly Jacks by the way."

"Jacks as in Jerry."

"I'm sorry for everything my brother in law has ever done."

Kyle nodded knowing that statement was genuine as he looked the blonde over thinking she seemed to young to be Lucas's almost step mother.

He engaged in slight small talk for a bit with Lucas's big sis finding out how her and her husband owned this hotel as well as one in Canada and that she was the mother of two sons one of whom was sadly comatose in an after care facility in Manhattan.

"I'm sorry about that."

Carly nodded telling Kyle thanks but she didn't want to talk about it before turning to her kid brother.

"Lucas did mama call you telling you she'd be late."

Lucas shook his head realizing that this was uncharacteristic ob Bobbie and wondered if she was sneaking around with her mystery man.

Bobbie long gone Spinelli and Maxie made their way toward the hub.

"Can I help you," Epiphany Johnson said in her usual annoyed tone.

"The Jackal would like a word," Spinelli said as his hands fidgeted nervously in his jeans pockets.

"Whatever troubles you've gotten yourself into I don't want to be privy to it."

"Relax," Maxie said as she felt it was her job to speak up, "Spinelli just has news about..."

She lowered her voice.

"The case you gave him last winter."

Epiphany remembered the case that Casious before he transferred out of General Hospital along with Nadine Crowell told her to give Spinelli which was the case of who killed her beloved son Stanford.

Nodding she looked at the couple and motioned for them to follow her into the thankfully empty on call room.

"So," she said in a now hushed tone, "who killed Stanford."

Spinelli took a deep breath.

"Jerry Jacks."

"Jerry Jacks, did you just pull the name from a hat."

Shaking his head Maxie spoke up.

"He most certainly did not; Spinelli cracked the case using all his genius PI skills."

Spinelli nodded as he began to explain all of Jerry's misgivings and alias's to the nurse who by the end of the conversation wanted to kill the sociopath had he not already been six feet under.

Soon after Carly questioned her mothers whereabouts Bobbie finally showed up.

"Sorry I'm late; I was held up at the hospital."

"Patient,' Lucas asked as his mother shook her head.

"Maxie and Spinelli."

"Gotcha," Lucas said as though he didn't really know Spinelli all that much he did know his cousin Maxie and knew she could talk ones ears off.

"Plus I was caught at every red light; I would have called but....."

"You were talking to Noah."

Bobbie blushed.

"So Noah Drake is that mystery man of yours huh."

Bobbie smiled knowing she'd had to tell her son sooner then later and nodded.

"I did talk to Noah yes; he said Patrick set a date and that he was finally coming back to town."

Both her kids along with Kyle simply smiled as they either heard about or lived with Robin and Patrick's drama.

Looking over at Kyle she smiled.

"I'm sorry to bore you with family stuff Dr. Julian."

"Please Kyle outside the hospital."

Bobbie nodded....

"Kyle it is then anyway shall we...."

The trio nodded as they headed into the restaurant to engage in the first of what hopefully would be many family meals.

Another update in the can!!!! I have a pretty good idea where I'm going with this though any feedback on what you'd 'like' to see is always welcomed.
