Yes, it's all well and fine having eternal life and all that stuff. But, he has to keep remind himself, no one else has everlasting life. Everyone he cares about, slipping away, like so many before. And he's left. Alone. So alone. All he loves, his family, friends, everyone, dying. And there's nothing he can do. He is forced to watch as the world he knew so well is destroyed. The age of ninja is long over, the secrets of chakra forgotten. The proud Hokage monument torn down, replaced by skyscrapers and factories. The deserts of Suna tamed, and the wars in Kiri ended. Forever. The only relic of this glorious age, him.
