Ch 9. THIS IS DESTINEY ISLAND!!!
The beach was punishing hot with the wrathful glare of the sun beating down upon the two boys near the waterfall next to the shack. Riku and Sora both went to play a role-playing game that they copied from a movie that they saw a couple of nights earlier. Riku chose to play near the watering hole where close by Tidus was enjoying a game of jump rope with Selphi.
Tidus and Selfi both stopped playing, turned around to see what Riku and Sora were up to. Riku had a wooden sword and Sora was backed up to the edge of the watering hole, Rikus' sword was raised to Soras' neck. " This is blasphemy!" shouted Riku to Sora whome was acting surprised and scared. "No King ever threatens a messenger!" yelled Sora to Riku whom grined evily at the burnet words and looked him dead in the eyes.
You've come here with the heads of conquerd kings insult my wife" Riku holds the giggling Kairi in his free arm. "and threaten my people with slavery! Give me a reason why I shouldn't kill you right now?" Riku said this with such cocky acting that he actually pulled it off as belivable.
"This is MADNESS!" shouted Sora in fear. "Madness? THIS IS DESTINEY ISLAND!!" Riku shouted and with all his might he gave Sora a mighty kick to the stomach and sent him falling into the watering hole. Tidus laughed as Selphi gave a muffled gasped behind her hands. Sora came gasping up from the water for air. "Riku what was that!! I thought it was role PLAYING!" shouted Sora as he got up from the water.
Riku only shrugged and said "Sora don't be such a softy I was playing with you, your just soft…like a baby!" Sora got very upset muffle and shouted "Im not a baby!!! Im more a man than you! Kiari was in the middle of the two flustering boys seeing were this quarl might lead to. But Riku took this opportunity like always as a challenge "oh really Sora? I think that I'm more of a man than youll ever be in your life time" 'oh the insults never stop do they' thought Sora hotly to himself. "one day I'll show you Riku and when I do you'll cry cry cry and beg me to stop"
Everybody was silent to the point of where you could hear the seagulls crying and the waves crashing, but moments later that wasn't the only thing that crashed, it was followed by the laughter of everyone except Sora who was very much confused by all of this.
"wh-what are you guys laughing for? I made a very pungent statement!!" Riku only shook his head with his hand rubbing his temple "ah Sora could you make a gayer comment??" 'Gay?' Sora thought and scratched his head.
Riku knew he was way to innocent but he also knew he would have to be the one to break it down to Sora later. Sora jumped out of the water hole and went running ahead blindly, he was going to go to the one place where Riku couldn't talk all that smack to him and laugh.
While looking back laughing and he said "Hey Riku who ever gets to the star at the end of the island last is Realy Gay!!" Rikus' eyes widened and he sprinted to gain up behind to Sora shouting "oh no you didn't you little squirt!!!"
Sora laught and ran with all his might, making Riku compete with him always made him feel so alive. Sora loved a new competition, and when Sora won he'd always go and find someone else. But with Riku, Sora knew he would always be a worth while oppenent. Riku ran fiercly and caught up with Sora, his silver hair wiping behind him and sweat glistening off his face and arms.
Sora looked next to him noticing the silver hair was caught up to him. Not only was that noticed but the glistening of the sweat was shining over his well sculpted chest making Sora feel something that he never felt before, he didn't know if he was making his heart work to much or he was feeling some sort of emotion but before he could fully analyze anything Riku had won the race.
"oh yeah! Whos your daddy!!" Riku started thrusting into the air and dancing. "Sora you know you can never beat me no matter what, no matter where, and no matter how."
"…" Sora was too confused to say anything back, but then he shook his head and glared back with putting his fists into the air "Gr I'll show you Riku just watch" Sora sighed and put his fists down shaking his head and started walking the other way 'I just don't get it, why cant I beat him? I get so distracted and freeze.' Sora thought only seconds when Riku found Sora walking away with his head down, so he went behind the brunet and put his arm around Soras shoulder.
"Why so glum chum?" Said Riku playfully.
Sora looked up and Riku saw the brunets sky blue eyes that were deep in thought broken. "Oh? Riku!, sorry I uh well I've been having these weird thoughts lately and well, do you really think… Oh never mind" Riku cocked a brow to what Sora was trying say and he said "C'mon Sora I wana know whats rattling your little brain" Sora shook his head "Naw it's stupid don't think about it."
Riku pouted and was kicking the sand under his shoes as they were walking near the papou tree to further discuss their conversation.
"Man Sora I think you might hurt yourself if you keep on thinking this way" Riku tried craking a smile into the brunets face, which eventually worked after they strayed away from the topic, Sora was relived. The two boys Got to the papou tree, Sora sat on the tree trunk as Riku took his usual spot of leaning against it.
They were both quiet while whatching the sunset behind the ocean. "Hey Sora you belive that there are other worlds out there right?" Riku gazed deeply into the sky. Sora looked at his direction and nodded "Yeah I do Riku and one day I hope Kairi you and I can all go and explore them." Riku gave a weak laugh and looked over at Soras direction whipping the hair out of his eyes. "Hey Sora don't you think its been to quiet? Like we haven't seen Kiari for nearly two hours" Sora tilted his head and jumped off the tree.
"Yeah you are right but if I remember she said something about hanging out with Selphi and the other girls for a while" Riku shrugged and stretched out his arms yawning. "Well I'm beat what about you Loser?" "Haha very funny Riku well yeah I am tired my self."
