Ch10 time is short

Thoughts couldn't race any faster than it did today for Sora. Riku walked with him to Kiaris place to check up on the girls to see what they were doing. Sora went along with him to the narrow ally that was behind kiaris' house. Her bedroom window was open with the mesh showing. The two boys heard giggle residing within the room.

"Hey Kiari do you think this skirt is too short or no?" The girls seem to be playing dress up and gossiping about school and what did they hear boys? The two boys sqauting under the window to the room were eavesdropping into the girls conversation when they heard one of them say Their names.

"Hey yeah did you see what Riku did to Sora at the watering hole?" said one girl to the other. Kiari was heard chuckling and she spoke "yeah you should have seen it Riku and Sora were playing a role-playing thing of this movie they saw and Riku took me into his arm and called me his wife."

The girls in the room swooned when they heard Rikus name. "Oh kiari! Your so lucky that Riku likes to hold you so much." The girls all giggled and said more about the silver haired boy. "He is so dreamy I wish he could be my king hehe". The conversation the boys were hearing each they felt something.

Riku was literally grinning like a fool with his arms crossed over his chest and he was smirking and mumbling about how he is the attractive one. Sora was wondering though why wasn't his name brought up once? They didn't call him cute or even say that they would kiss him nothing they all swooned and giggled just at the thought of Riku.

A hollowed pain was creeping into Soras heart. He held his chest as the pain became sharp. 'Why do I feel so hurt?' Soras thoughts were depressive and he felt as if there was a grey cloud over his head.

He was jealous that Riku had all the girls rolling and gossiping about him. Even the girl of his dreams Kiari was giggling over Riku. Sora felt hurt and unwanted. His head was hung low and he got up from under the window sill which they were eavesdropping from and walked out of the ally.

Riku noticed the brunet got up and leaving. He knew he couldn't call out to Sora why was he leaving but instead he got out from under the window sill and went out of the ally way as well following behind Sora. 'What's wrong with Sora?' Riku thought to himself. 'Probably I really did hurt his feelings when I kicked him into the water?' Riku kept on questioning why the brunet looked the way he did.

Once they got out of ears reach he walks up behind Sora "Oy Sora where are you going, why did we leave?"

Sora didn't bother to look back but he did say "Riku I got up and left because it was getting late, you didn't have to follow me." Those words came out of Soras mouth with an icy bite at the end. Riku fell a step back and shook off the comment.

"Well look at this Sora I'm quiet the ladies man in there ha." Rikus cockiness was actually wearing thin on Sora and all the brunet wanted to do was crawl into his bed or better yet the cave where Kiari and him used to play…

The thought made him shake his head. He always liked Kiari ever since she moved into the neighborhood but obviously she liked Riku now that he reached puberty and has the sculpted muscles of a Greek marble statue. 'Awkward thought there, but true, girls always go for the muscular guy who is self-centered.' Sora gave a slight flinch to another thought. 'What if Riku likes Kiari back?' The hole in the brunets heart was now aching badly after the horrible thought.

"Come on Sora don't ignore me when I'm talking to you what's wrong that your not even.." The sentence was cut short when Sora picked up his pace and darted down the street to his house. Riku didn't know whether to chase or to walk to Soras place now or to let him be?

'STUPID!!!' those words where screaming in the back of Soras head. 'I was stupid to think I could ever one day be better than Riku he thinks he owns this island and everybody in it!!' Blinding rage and malice was building within the brunet as he sped past houses and apartments to his place at the end of the block. He came to his front porch wiping the barely visible tears he was shedding.

"I'm sick of it all, Stupid Riku!" he gasped in between breaths as he closed the front door behind him. He fell to the floor leaning his back against the door. "I'm done with being the kid that has to pretend everything is okay and oblivious of the things that happen, I'm done trying to put a smile on everything." 'Riku can have it all'…
