When you called it off between us, I really thought that it wouldn't last. Now I'm sitting with you, having a drink while you wait for your new boy to come for you.
When you broke it off, I played it cool. Maybe that was a mistake.
"Have you ever really been in love, Jack?"
"Yeah. Dave. I have." Maybe I shouldn't have drunk so much either. "You have too. I know you have. Or maybe not. I know you ain't in love with him though. You don't know what it's like to love somebody the way I love you."
