For as long as she could remember, she'd always dreamt of her Prince Charming. Her mother fed that dream, always saying, "One day, my dear, you'll marry the prince of your dreams and become Queen of Alexandria!"
However, her idea of 'Prince Charming' was never a common thief. She'd imagined a handsome noble, from a far away land, who came to sweep her off her feet. Except, it turns out, things don't happen as you imagine.
When she'd met Zidane, it was under terrible circumstances. He'd flirted with her as if she'd been an every day girl, but something in his eyes told her that he'd known exactly who she was. Her suspicions had been right, when she had pushed by his friend, she heard him yell, "Get up, Blank! That's Princess Garnet!"
Later, it had turned out that he was there to kidnap her, alone with his Tantalus friends. Conveniently enough, she'd been trying to escape, so it had sort of worked out. Then, she'd had no interest in him. Now, it was painful to be apart from him.
She didn't care whether it was allowed, not really. He was a thief, that much was true, but he was also selfless, kind, and a plain lecher. But she knows now, she loves everything about him. He's better than any Prince Charming that she'd ever imagined.
Those dreams of her Prince Charming are just memories now, but she's content with that.
Eugh, that was worse than I thought it had been, even with some tweaks. I'm posting it anyway, in case some one out there enjoys it.
