Sakura and Gaara: The Demon and the Cherry Blossom
There are two ninjas from two different villages. One is from Konoha (the leaf village) and the other is from Suna (the village hidden in sand). Sakura is from the leaf village and Gaara is from the sand village. They've known each other since the chunin exams. Sakura used to fear Gaara, but now she no longer does. Gaara and Naruto are best friends and that is one of the reasons way Sakura no longer fears Gaara.
They have gotten closer over the years. When Gaara became the kazekaga, he had to visit the leaf village a lot for meetings. When Sakura got older, she became the strongest kunoichi of the leaf village, next to Tsunade, and the best medic ninja, next also to Tsunade. Since Sakura is Tsunade's apprentice, Tsunade is the hokage, she was appointed to help and take care of the kazakaga, Gaara, when ever he visited the leaf village.
As Sakura and Gaara spent time together they became closer and best friends. They even did a lot of missions together. Once during her mission to the sand village to teach the sand medics there, she realized that she was starting to fall in love with Gaara and the same happened to him, but neither told the other of their feelings.
One day during a mission that they had together, they told each other of their feelings and started dating. After two years of dating, Gaara proposed to Sakura who said yes. Tsunade was very pleased and agreed to the marriage knowing it would strengthen the bond between their villages. Sakura and Gaara were wed under cherry blossom trees surrounded by all of their friends. Sakura's bridesmaids' were Ino, the maid of honor, Hinata, TenTen, and Temari. Gaara's groomsmen were Naruto, the best man, Kankuro, Neji, and Shikamaru. When the vowels were said and done and the couple kissed there was a huge cheer. When Sakura threw the flowers, Hinata caught it, looked at Naruto, blushed, and then fainted.
*The couples were Sakura and Gaara, Hinata and Naruto, Ino and Choji, Temari and Shikamaru, and TenTen and Neji.
Ps. Kakashi- sensei is the one who handed Sakura off to Gaara since her dad died when she was thirteen.
