If one event didn't happen, if one character made a different decision, or if the laws of reality itself weren't the same. Well...fortunately for us, the multiverse is a vast creature of endless stories and possibilities.

When Abuela nearly lost everything, letting go was the answer. Her death years later poses the question. Time steals sunsets and sunrises, the ones we love, the people we could be. Does it make sense to mourn while they are still here? Mirabel learns to accept loss, and Bruno learns to accept love.

*WARNING: Rating is for very mature themes of self-harm and repeated suicide attempts* Alma Madrigal's confrontation of Mirabel did more than break the family's casita. It split the family apart as well as breaking Mirabel down even more. I've found myself writing a lot of Encanto ficlets of late - so guess I'll plunk them in here. There was a Tumblr event called #Encantober. Think of it as my HC's on steroids and since I tended to write this stuff too close to bed time - there are likely to be grammar issues. Cannot be helped.
