In relation to your latest owl, I must protest. I do know what they're saying about you. But I've leant not to stick up for pathetic muggle-borns as the latest belt from Crabbe left a rather nasty bruise.
And for your information, I am not jealous of that foul-mouthed, pretentious twerp. You clearly deserve each other.

Upon reading this haughty reply, Lily Evans does exactly that and never speaks to Severus Snape again. This would only add to his bitter self-loathing and eventual soul wrenching death.
