Light Story 4 : Heartbeat

Schneizel starred at his trustable man, Kanon Maldini with lazy-looking eyes. Kanon try to starred back his master, even it was too difficult at first, but it has been some years, acting like 'nothing happened with his heart', so he can handle it. But, there's one thing that he can't handle until now, guess what.
"Is there something you want from me, highness?" he ask.
"Draw closer," he command. Kanon approach him, standing before his prince.
A minuet . . .
"Highness?" Schneizel point his finger in front of his lips, gesture him to quiet. He's smiling.
Two minutes . . . . Kanon try to keep stared his master, 'I'm okay!'.
Three minutes . . . . Kanon try to hold his absolutely-okay position, 'I'm STILL okay'.
Four minutes . . . . Kanon TRY to hold his cheeks from any blushing, 'It's getting uneasy'.
Five minutes . . . . Kanon can hear his heartbeats, ROARING inside his absolutely-okay position 'HOLD ON!', he command himself.
Six minutes . . . . Schneizel throw his sight. 'AT LAST!', Kanon sighed. But he didn't watch that suddenly,
Schneizel grab him and leaned his ear in Kanon's chest.
"I'm sure I can hear them in that distance..." Kanon blushed, completely failed to calming down his noisy heartbeat, especially with Schneizel in his chest.
"...but sound clearer in this position."

Ah! There's something I want to ask, if you know what is the meaning of 'Kanon is canon'. I feel confused with that and I really want to know what is it mean.
