When she learns the truth through a twist of fate, Sarah realizes all she missed out on in not taking that mission, and the gift she never got to know.

There his past as the LA street racer known as "Ghost" becomes known and sets up Chuck for greatness. However, his past catches up to him, forcing Chuck into a confrontation against not just old enemy's, but old friends as well. Now on AO3.
