Xander is related to Jon Myers who has offered Xander the use of his cabin the woods if Xander ever needed it. Xander decides to take up the old offer when the in-slayers, Willow, and Buffy all get on his nerves because of him fighting demons even though he's human. Dawn decides to join him when Buffy says some hurtful things. John has decided that Hellboy, Liz, and Abe need a vacation and decides to take them to his cabin.

Dawn stared at the unknown red demon for a bit before tilting her head back and yelling downstairs. "XANDER DO YOU KNOW ANY BIG RED DEMON'S?"
"NO. WHY?" was the reply from a male's voice and footsteps getting closer.
"Cause there's on up here." Dawn said to Xander as he came up the stairs.
"Well he must be a good demon because he hasn't tried to eat, kill, kidnap, or sacrifice us." Xander joked before holding out his hand. "Hi I'm Xander Harris and this is Dawn Summers. You must know John if you're staying here."
