A/N:So chapter one was from the very beginning of the series and this chapter is based off of the changes that take place in season two, more specifically the finale. I also want to mention that in these types of games there are no winners :(

You're not in it to make friends or have fun, you're in it for the money.

It's at this moment when Peter comes to realize their lives are not akin to family game night at the dinning room table. No, they're at the casino. They're playing for keeps and kids aren't allowed.

It's at this moment when Peter realizes he's been playing the slot machines the whole time. He happened to sit down at that right moment when the slots aligned and granted him the victory jackpot, but, a little cocky, he didn't walk away ahead. He kept playing and found the jackpot gone once again as the game declared him a loser.

Peter suddenly finds the comparison and realizes that this whole time the jackpot victory was really Neal's trust, but he was a fool to think he could win twice. Neal-the casino-is laughing all the way to the bank as he cashes in on the player's naivety.

Because some games can be played alone.
